    Opis:
    This article presents the preferred values of young people with symptoms of social maladjustment. We examined a group of 35 pupils aged 15–16 attending probation centres. A comparison group of 38 people were their peers: second and third grade students of lower secondary school. The Rokeach Value Survey (RVS) was used. The results indicate that both girls and boys with symptoms of social maladjustment appreciate most such terminal values as: family security, freedom, and self-respect. By contrast, among instrumental values they prefer cleanliness, helpfulness, politeness. Comparing the obtained results, it can be concluded that maladjusted young people prefer slightly different instrumental values than their peers from the comparison group. The most important terminal values for the adolescents from both groups examined are: family security and self-respect.

    W artykule przedstawiono analizę wyników badania struktury wartości ostatecznych i instrumentalnych w opinii przyszłych pracowników z pokolenia Y, którzy w najbliższych latach wkroczą na europejski rynek pracy. Prezentowane wyniki pokazują wpływ różnic kulturowych (Polska, Włochy, Ukraina, Rosja, Białoruś) na te zagadnienia. Wyniki badawcze zostały porównane z rezultatami badań prowadzonych przez autorki w latach poprzednich, a co za tym idzie, został ukazany optymalny kierunek kształtowania systemu zarządzania różnorodnością międzypokoleniową. Celem prowadzenia analiz było wskazanie działań, które mogą się stać podstawą strategii motywacyjnej i komunikacyjnej dla menedżerów zarządzających pracownikami z pokolenia Y, pochodzącymi z różnych krajów Europy.
    The presented article is an analysis of the study on the structure of terminal and instrumental values in the opinion of future employees of Generation Y who in the next few years will enter the European labour market. The presented results show the impact of cultural differences (Poland, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus) on the above mentioned issues. The results of the research were compared with the results of the research conducted by the authors in previous years, and hence, has shown the optimum direction to shape the intergenerational diversity management system. The aim of the analysis was to identify strategies for managing employees of Generation Y coming from different European countries.

    Artykuł omawia grupę tradycyjnych chińskich imion żeńskich zawierających leksemy wskazujące na moralne, psychiczne i behawioralne cechy kobiet. Wspomniane cechy są podobne do wartości ludzkich wyróżnionych przez filozofów i psychologów w dziedzinie aksjologii, czyli teorii wartości. Typologia wartości opracowana przez Miltona Rokeacha w 1973 r. służy jako rama dla prowadzonych badań. Materiał badawczy zawiera 1050 leksemów obecnych w 2931 standardowych imionach własnych chińskich kobiet. Leksemy oznaczające wartości kobiece stanowią 27% wszystkich analizowanych leksemów, a występują w 1600 imionach. Nazwy własne oznaczające wartości ujawniają w pewnym stopniu system wartości preferowanych w tradycyjnych Chinach i wydają się istotne dla dalszych badań w dziedzinie aksjologii.
    The paper discusses the group of Chinese traditional female names containing lexemes denoting moral, mental and behavioural features of women. The features mentioned are related to human values distinguished by philosophers and psychologists in the domain of axiology, i.e. the theory of value. The typology of values elaborated by M. Rokeach in 1973 serves as a framework for the research. The research material contains 1050 lexemes evidenced in 2931 standard personal names of Chinese women. The lexemes denoting female values stand for 27% of all lexemes analysed, and occur in 1600 names. Personal names denoting the values reveal to some extent the system of values preferred in traditional China, and seem to be important for the further studies in the domain of axiology.
