The modern person in an era of information breakthrough faces the problem of choosing and processing information coming to her. Human activities in the systems "driver - vehicle - road - environment" - not an exception. The role and importance of information in all spheres of human activity have increased significantly. The paper aims to find and assess the patterns of information flow impact on the driver performance in the "driver - vehicle - road - environment" system. Electroencephalography (EEG) method using the Neurocom hardware and software complex used to determine the change in the electrical activity of the driver's brain during the processing of input information; electrocardiography method using the hardware and software complex «Cardiosens», used to determine the fatigue level of the driver during research; tabular method of double letter cancelation test, involved in determining the time of distraction from the performance of the driver's core activity in laboratory experiments. Using mathematical modelling methods and methods, mathematical models of EEG and ECG parameters influence on the time of distraction from execution by the driver of the main activity were obtained. Regression models of the influence of the aggregate of the quantitative characteristics of the intensity of fast (beta-rhythm – β and gamma-rhythm – γ ) and slow (delta- rhythm – δ and theta-rhythm –θ) EEG signals are proposed. The regression equations obtained for determining the regularities of the influence of information flow on the results of activity of road users are defined. Set up that the time of the driver's distraction from performing the core activity can reach from 0,94 s to 4,77 s depending on particular conditions. Information flows arising from the location of noticeable advertising in the driver's field of vision when driving a vehicle, distract his attention from 0,23 s to 2,81 s. The practical significance of obtained results is the possibility to use them in coordinating the location of advertising structures and organizing the work of drivers while driving a vehicle.

Intensywny rozwój współczesnych technologii ICT (Information and Communication Tech-nologies), łatwość dostępu i ich różnorodność sprawiły, że dzisiaj coraz trudniej wskazać obszar działalności człowieka, który byłby pozbawiony chociażby pewnych elementów mediów cyfro-wych, szczególnie mediów komunikacyjnych, takich jak internet czy telefonia komórkowa. Tele-fon komórkowy jest dziś podstawowym przedmiotem, z którego korzystają osoby w każdym wieku, coraz częściej także najmłodsze, kilkuletnie dzieci. Niewątpliwie korzyści płynące z posia-dania i korzystania z telefonu komórkowego są bardzo duże. Należy jednak pamiętać również o zagrożeniach, które wynikają z faktu nieodpowiedniego posługiwania się telefonem komórko-wym, zwłaszcza przez dzieci i młodzież. Artykuł stanowi próbę zasygnalizowania skutków nie-właściwego korzystania z telefonów komórkowych (fonoholizmu) przez dzieci i młodzież.
Due to intensive advancement of modern Information and Communication Technologies, easily accessible and highly various, it is more and more difficult nowadays to find an area of human life not bearing any sign of impact of digital media, in particular means of communication, such as the Internet or mobile telephony. The mobile phone is an essential tool used by persons of any age, in-cluding the youngest children. There is no doubt about the benefits of possessing and using a mobile phone. It is, however, vitally important to take into consideration the threats resulting from mobile phone misuse, especially among children and adolescents. This article is an attempt to demonstrate the consequences of mobile phone misuse (mobile phone dependence) by children and adolescents.

Celem pracy była ocena wpływu promieniowania elektromagnetycznego wysokiej częstotliwości emitowanego przez telefon komórkowy, na metabolizm tlenowy i zmiany wolnorodnikowe w krwinkach płytkowych. Zawiesinę ludzkich płytek krwi poddano działaniu pola EM o częstotliwości 900 i 1800 MHz przez 1, 3, 5 minut. W porównaniu do wartości kontrolnych aktywność dysmutazy ponadtlenkowej zmalała po 1,i 5 , a po 3 minucie wzrosła (EM 900 MHz). Promieniowanie o częstotliwości 1800 MHz powodowało stały spadek SOD-1 w stosunku do długości czasu ekspozycji. Stężenie dialdehydu malonowego wzrosło po 1 i 5 min ekspozycji, natomiast po 3 minutach odnotowano istotne jego obniżenie (EM 900 MHz). Promieniowanie o częstotliwości 1800 MHz powodowało wzrost stężenia MDA w stosunku do długości czasu ekspozycji. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników można stwierdzić, że przyczyną niekorzystnych zmian w czynności enzymów antyoksydacyjnych i stężeniu dialdehydu malonowego może być stres oksydacyjny powstający przy narażeniu krwinek płytkowych na mikrofale, a wraz z nim tworzenie się nadmiernej ilości wolnych rodników tlenowych.
The aim of the study was to assess the influence of electromagnetic field produced by mobile phones on oxygen metabolism In human blond plateletes. The suspension of blood platelets was exposed to the electromagnetic field with frequency of 900 and 1800 MHz after 1, 3, 5 min. Our studies demonstrated that microwaves produced by mobile phones (900 MHz) significantly depleted SOD-1 activity after 1, 5 min exposure and increased after 3 min in comparison with the control test. Microwaves 1800 MHz significantly depleted SOD-1 activity after 1, 3 and 5 min in comparison with the control test. There was a significant increase in concentration of MDA after 1, 5 min and decrease after 3 min of exposure as compared with the control test (900 MHz). Electromagnetic field tith frequency of 1800 MHz significantly increased in concentration of MDA after 1, 3, 5 min. On the grounds of our results we conclude that oxidative stress after exposure to microwaves may be the reason for many adverse changes in cells and may cause a number of systemic disturbance in the human body.

The development of modern technologies has enabled unlimited possibilities for contemporary people in the sphere of education, information, communication or entertainment. There have been significant progress and development in many areas of human life. However, the positive changes which contributed to the improvement of the social life quality, at the same time, brought many behaviors threatening health. The long list of risks is constantly growing and it is not expected to decrease. The problem of cellular addiction occurs more often and gains in power. Excessive and improper use of mobile phones poses many threats to physical, cognitive, emotional or social development and may lead to a phonoholism - i.e. a phenomenon that may result in withdrawal from social life, loss of contact with the family or persistent sleep disorders. As the mobile phone is today the basic subject, which is used by people of all ages, increasingly also the youngest, several-year-old children should become an educational challenge for parents and teachers. Therefore, there is a great need for extensive prevention of health and promotion of media competences for the digital society in order to make conscious, safe, responsible and critical use of tools that facilitate communication, learning and playing.

Opis:
The domestic violence called the family violence is any kind of the deliberate behaviour connected with the taking advantage from the force predomination directed against the family member which violates the family member's rights and results in physical and psychical suffering. The violence is a kind of pathology. Simultaneously, the domestic violence is a crime, but most of its victims are not aware of the fact that this behavior pattern is rooted in their families. They allowed to be abused as well as they permit the child abuse and treat it as normal. The examinations conducted amongst the domestic violence victims show that the victims act unconsciously according to the stereotypes and thought schemes repeated from generation to generation. There are many forms and methods of the violence victims’ assistance, but the efficiency most of all depends on the reaction time of the adequate services and their assistance. Therefore, the construction of the assistance net for the domestic violence victims is so crucial. The net should react in the adequate way as soon as it is possible. There must be the change in the society attitude towards the specialists helping the domestic violence victims as well as the change in the victims attitude. Only then the full success in carrying help to the domestic violence victims will be possible.

Ksiądz Jan Twardowski zaleca, by śpieszyć się kochać ludzi, zanim „zostaną po nich buty i telefon głuchy”. Poeci sięgają po motyw spóźnionego dzwonienia do tych, których już nie ma, ale – wbrew diagnozie z innego wiersza Twardowskiego, Potem, że umarli „nie telefonują” – trauma śmierci wraca też w formie telefonu od zmarłego (jak w Słuchawce Wisławy Szymborskiej). Takie (nomen omen) sygnały traumy – Holocaustu, wojny, pojedynczej straty – są wyrazem bezradności tych, którzy przeżyli, ale i próbą podtrzymywania pamięci (Spis abonentów sieci telefonów miasta stołecznego Warszawy na rok 1938/39 Jerzego Ficowskiego, Notes Antoniego Słonimskiego). Wizje telefonicznego porozumienia między światami mogą pozwolić na rozmowę wcześniej niemożliwą (Telefon Zbigniewa Herberta), mogą pomagać w przepracowywaniu traumy, a nawet służyć człowiekowi w oswajaniu jego własnej śmiertelności (Telefon Mieczysława Jastruna). Interesujące są funkcje tych „kontaktów” i metafory charakterystyczne dla wymienionych wierszy (oraz pokrewnych, jak Telefon Władysława Szlengla). W centrum podjętej w artykule refleksji znajduje się polska poezja współczesna, ale pojawią się konteksty zagraniczne (Telephone Call Donalla Dempseya) i prozatorskie (Szum Magdaleny Tulli, Duchy w maszynach Anny Kańtoch, Maigret w Vichy Georges’a Simenona).
Fr Jan Twardowski advises: “Let us hurry to love people” before they leave behind “only their shoes and silence on the phone.” The poets use the motif of overdue phone calls to people who are no longer with us, but – in spite of the diagnosis from another of Twardowski’s work, Potem, that the dead do not call us – the trauma of the death comes back also in the form of the telephone calls from the dead person (e.g. Słuchawka by Wisława Szymborska). These (nomen omen) signals of trauma – trauma connected with Holocaust, war, individual loss – seem to be the expression of helplessness of the people who survived, but also the attempt to rescue the memory of the dead (Spis abonentów sieci telefonów miasta stołecznego Warszawy na rok 1938/39 by Jerzy Ficowski, Notes by Antoni Słonimski). The vision of telephonic understanding with the dead can help to work through the trauma, allow to have the conversation impossible ever before (Telefon by Zbigniew Herbert), and support people in comprehending their own mortality (Telefon by Mieczysław Jastrun). What seems the most interesting are the functions this “contacts” perform and the metaphors characteristic for the mentioned poems (or similar, like Telefon by Władysław Szlengel). In the centre of this article is the contemporary Polish poetry, however as a context foreign (Telephone Call by Donell Dempsey) and prosaic (Szum by Magdalena Tulli, Duchy w maszynach by Anna Kańtoch, Maigret en Vichy by Georges Simenon) works are also used.

W artykule przeanalizowano dane liczbowe pochodzące z 116 111 – telefonu zaufania dla dzieci i młodzieży zebrane przez Fundację Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę (FDDS) w latach 2019 i 2020. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na pogorszenie ogólnego stanu zdrowia psychicznego dzieci i młodzieży w wyniku pandemii COVID-19 oraz wprowadzanych restrykcji mających na celu ograniczenia jej rozprzestrzeniania się. Pandemia spowodowała u dzieci i nastolatków wzrost częstości stanów lęku, niepokoju, napięcia, stresu i samotności, co przełożyło się na częstsze występowanie myśli i prób samobójczych, a co za tym idzie zwiększyło liczbę interwencji podejmowanych przez pracowników FDDS. Izolacja i zamknięcie ograniczyły dostęp do podstawowej opieki psychologicznej zapewnianej przez placówki edukacyjne, a także wpłynęła na zmianę paradygmatu komunikacyjnego między dziećmi a telefonem zaufania.
The article analyses statistical data gathered by 116 111 Helpline for Children and Youth (116111) by Empowering Children Foundation in 2020. Analyzed data indicate that state of psychiatric health amongst children and youth has deteriorated, which can be attributed to COVID-19 pandemics, as well as restrictions imposed by government to combat its spread. The pandemics has increased states of fear, anxiety, tension, stress and loneliness that translated to higher percent of suicidal thoughts and attempts, which in result increased the number of interventions carried out by employees of Empowering Children Foundation. Isolation and lockdown have limited access to basic psychological healthcare provided by schools. Those factors also changed the paradigm of communication between kids and Helpline.

Aktualnie trudno wyobrazić sobie świat bez użycia interaktywnych mediów. Dostęp do komputera, internetu, telefonii komórkowej, obejmującej swoim zasięgiem niemal całą kulę ziemską, mają nie tylko dorośli, ale także młodzież i coraz młodsze dzieci. Jaki wpływ na rozwój dziecka, układ nerwowy oraz jakie konsekwencje psychologiczne niosą za sobą nowoczesne środki przekazu medialnego? Znacznie ułatwiony dostęp do sprzętów elektronicznych emitujących pole elektromagnetyczne skłania nas do refleksji na temat jego wpływu na układ nerwowy i rozwijający się mózg. Żadne poprzednie pokolenie nie było narażone w dzieciństwie i w okresie dojrzewania na tak intensywne promieniowanie elektromagnetyczne. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu zdecydowali się na przegląd piśmiennictwa dotyczącego oddziaływania mediów elektronicznych na ośrodkowy układ nerwowy i ich wpływ na rozwój dzieci.
It is hard to imagine a contemporary world without interactive media. The use of digital technology has grown rapidly during the last couple of decades. Today, more and more young children have mobile phones, internet, computers. What influences children’s development, what are the psychological consequences of the use of modern media? How do electromagnetic fields affect the nervous system, developing brain? No previous generation has been exposed during childhood and adolescence to this kind of electromagnetic radiation. This paper reviews the impact of electronic media on the central nervous system and the child’s development.

Zachowania czasoprzestrzenne ludności są obecnie jedną z popularniejszych kwestii podejmowanych na gruncie geografii transportu. W efekcie rośnie również zainteresowanie rozwojem nowych narzędzi badawczych związanych z ich identyfikacją, takich jak urządzenia mobilne. Mimo dużej popularności smartfonów, wciąż jednak niewiele jest przykładów badań, w których zostały one wykorzystane na większą skalę. Za cel artykułu przyjęto więc określenie możliwości i perspektyw szerszego zastosowania telefonów komórkowych w badaniach zachowań transportowych ludności, a także wskazanie najważniejszych zalet i wad tego typu narzędzi. Do realizacji wyznaczonego celu posłużyły: a) przegląd literatury opisującej narzędzia badawcze stosowane do identyfikacji zachowań transportowych ludności oraz b) przeprowadzone w Poznaniu badania pilotażowe z wykorzystaniem smartfonów i stworzonej w tym celu aplikacji mobilnej. Na tej podstawie można stwierdzić, że w danych pozyskanych za pomocą telefonów komórkowych tkwi bardzo duży potencjał i mogą one znaleźć szerokie zastosowanie w różnego rodzaju analizach transportowych. Jednakże należy również zwrócić uwagę na istotne bariery dla dalszego upowszechniania się tego typu narzędzi badawczych, w postaci problemów natury technicznej i organizacyjnej, związanych z doborem próby oraz analizą dużych zbiorów danych.
Human travel behaviour is recently one of the most popular research topic in transport geography. Therefore, we could observe increasing interest on new research tools related to their identification such as mobile devices. Despite the widespread popularity of smartphones, there are not many examples of studies in which they have been used on a larger scale. So, the main objectives of the article are: to assess the possibilities and perspectives of the broader use of mobile phones in analyses on human travel behaviour and to identify the main advantages and disadvantages of such research tools. To realize these purposes we implemented a) literature review on the methods used for travel behaviour identification and b) pilot study conducted in Poznań with the use of smartphones and dedicated mobile application. Based on our findings, we could conclude that there is a great potential connected with the use of mobile phone data in transport geography and they can be used in different types of analyses. However, some important barriers of the broader use of smartphones in travel behaviour studies should be also noticed. We could mention technical and organisational problems, sampling issues and challenges related to big data analyses.

W życiu codziennym, zwłaszcza rozmawiając z ludźmi młodymi, daje się dostrzec, że posługują się oni często słownictwem zaczerpniętym ze świata wirtualnego. Zjawisko to jest dostrzegalne zwłaszcza w komunikacji pisanej. Przenikanie takiego słownictwa przechodzi również do języka oficjalnego, używanego w mediach, np. w przekazach dziennikarskich. Rozwój technologii teleinformatycznej skierował ewolucję języka w kierunku, który nie zawsze można uznać za właściwy.
In everyday life, especially while talking with young people can be noticed that they often use the vocabulary borrowed from the virtual world. This phenomena is especially visible in the written form of communication. Permeation of such vocabulary occur also in then official language, used in media, e.g. in journalistic transmissions. Development of information technology directed the evolution of language in the way, which not always can be considered as appropriate.

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę negatywnego wpływu nowoczesnych technologii teleinformatycznych, w tym komputera i telefonu komórkowego, na zdrowie młodego człowieka. Wpływ ten objawia się chorobami kręgosłupa, pogorszeniem wzroku, obniżeniem poziomu kondycji fizycznej, rozdrażnieniem wywołanym przez smog elektromagnetyczny, narażeniem na choroby nowotworowe poprzez promieniowanie wytwarzane przez telefony komórkowe oraz stacje bazowe, a także uzależnieniem, zwłaszcza od obioru nowych informacji w postaci poczty e-mail lub SMS-ów. Te wszystkie zagrożenia dotyczą zwłaszcza ludzi młodych, dla których technologia teleinformatyczna jest naturalnym składnikiem życia i rozwoju, który odbywa się w czasie wielkiego i szybkiego postępu technologicznego.
The Influence of the Digitization of Life on the Deterioration of the State of Health of a Youth. The article undertakes the problems of a negative influence of modern IT technologies, computers and mobile phones among them, on a young man’s health. This influence shows itself in spine diseases, sight deterioration, reduction of the level of physical condition, exasperation caused by electromagnetic smog, exposing to cancer diseases by the radiation produced by mobile phones and base stations, as well as addictions, particularly to the receiving of new information in the form of e-mails and sms messages. All these threats especially relate to young people, for whom IT technologies are a natural ingredient of life and development taking place during the great and fast evolution of IT technologies.

Parents and spouses are using the Internet and cell phones to create a „new connectedness” that built in remote connections and shared Internet experiences. Today's married couples use a variety of tools–landline phones, cell phones, instant messaging, and email – to manage their schedules and stay connected with each other throughout the day. The adoption of cell phones and computers is a particularly important component of the way today's families stay in touch and coordinate their lives. Although families often go their separate ways during the day, they are connected by the Internet and, even more so, by cell phone. This new connectedness via cell phones and screen-sharing creates networked families.

The following article focusses the consequences of using new media in West Africa, especially in the Republic of Benin. The increasing number of mobile phones and smartphones entails a lot of economic, social and political changes within the African society. The way of using these technologies is characterized by creativity and different kinds of local appropriation offering inter alia new chances of development.
Poniższy artykuł skupia się na konsekwencjach wykorzystania nowych mediów w regionie Afryki Zachodniej, w szczególności w Republice Beninu. Rosnąca liczba telefonów komórkowych i smartfonów przynosi szereg zmian gospodarczych, społecznych i kulturowych w społeczeństwie Afryki Zachodniej. Sposób korzystania z nich cechuje się kreatywnością i implikuje różne formy przyswajania, obejmujące między innymi nowe szanse rozwoju.
