The paper presents studies on the influence of probability distributions on the expanded uncertainty of the resistance measurement. Choosing the correct probability distribution is very important to estimate of measurement uncertainty. The most commonly used distribution is the rectangular distribution. The paper presents the results of analysis of the resistance measurement uncertainty using the technical method of two resistances: 1 Ω and 100 GΩ using different measuring equipment. The analysis of the uncertainty measurement of resistance was carried out repeatedly, each time assuming a different probability distribution of measuring instruments (normal, rectangular, triangular or trapezoidal). The results of the research presented in the article show that the influence of the assumed probability distributions on the result of the measurement uncertainty analysis is significant and results discrepancies can reach up to 30%.

W artykule przedstawiono aplikację R-Tech, która została zaprojektowana przez autorów jako narzędzie wspomagające szacowanie niepewności pomiaru rezystancji mierzonej metodą techniczną. W programie zaimplementowano algorytm wyznaczania niepewności rezystancji zgodny z zaleceniami zawartymi w Przewodniku GUM, czyli na podstawie prawa propagacji niepewności. Zaprezentowana aplikacja pozwala na przeprowadzenie analizy, która może być wykorzystywana zarówno przez inżynierów jak i studentów.
The article presents the application of R-Tech, which was designed by the authors as a tool to support estimation of measurement uncertainty of resistance measured by the technical method. The program implements the algorithm for determining the resistance of uncertainty consistent with recommendations contained in the Guide GUM, which is based on the law of propagation of uncertainty. The estimation includes errors of measurement method, which changes its value depending on whether the resistance is determined from the measured correctly current or voltage. The paper contains a detailed description of the methodology for determining measurement uncertainty presented in the application. Also described is the construction of a user interface and a method of use by the user. At the design stage of the program every effort to make it intuitive and easy to use. The functionality of this tool is divided into 3 groups, and assigned separate tabs. Presented application allows the analysis which can be used both by engineers and students.

The Paper presents the disassembly module. The module is an integral part of expert system that is partial implementation of the Technical Mean Recirculation Method (TMRM). The Disassembly module is divided to two separate sub-modules like: Structure and Sequence. The Structure sub-module is used to input technical mean structure and joins (connection character joins), between elements. In the Sequence sub-module the syndrome identify tag is created to which mechanically used and damaged elements are assigned. As result of gained data algorithm analysis, automatically the disassembly documentation is generated with rule of minimal disassembly range taken in consideration. User have also possibility to modify the operation contents or prepare a sequence manually.

In the current literature, many different stochastic extensions of the DEA framework can be found. Such generalized approaches enable one to model the uncertainty inherent to the form of the production possibility set and the value of the technical efficiency measure at any given point of the former. In the paper we provide a detailed discussion of some statistical model and the subsampling algorithm which are used in statistical inference. The methodology is then illustrated with an empirical example using the real-world data from the Polish energy sector.

The study presents a technology of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) production with the use of a dry, single-stage method. The reacting substrates (concentrated wet-process phosphoric acid - WPPA and solid Na2CO3 ) are mixed with a recycled final product (STPP) in a mixer, then a „quasi-dry” mixture is calcined in a rotary kiln. Thanks to that, some stages of a classic method of STPP production are eliminated: one of the two-stage neutralization of the phosphoric acid with sodium carbonate at temperature ~80°C, filtration of the neutralised solution and its evaporation, as well as the stage of drying a solution of mono- and di-sodium orthophosphate in a spray dryer. According to the presented technical and economical analysis, the costs of STPP production using a single-stage dry method can be 10% lower compared to the classic method.

W drugiej części ten sam przedmiot, stanowiący próbę 120 gospodarstw z czterech gmin Małopolski, poddano szczegółowej analizie dla zbadania zależności pomiędzy poziomem wykształcenia właścicieli i powierzchnią gospodarstwa z jednej strony a wielkością postępu i jego efektywnością z drugiej.
This work is the second part of discussion regarding methodical aspects for determining scientific and technical progress in agriculture. The first part was brought to the description of analysed object. In the second part, the same object, that is a sample of 120 farms from four boroughs in Małopolska Province, was subject to detailed analysis intended to examine relation between education level of owners and farm area on the one hand, and progress size and efficiency on the other.

The article examines the major issues of methodology that evaluates the effectiveness of technical assistance project implementation in Ukraine. The main goal of this paper is an attempt to assess condition of polish couriers and messengers sector in terms of technical efficiency. The sector in Poland, in comparison to the Western Europe countries, is still under development. The research was conducted using Data Envelopment Analysis method, which is successfully applied worldwide both in public and private sector organizations. DEA allows to identify the best performers in analyzed group and build a ranking in terms of efficient resources utilization. Malmquist index was also calculated to assess changes in relative productivity over time and to detect which factors (“frontier shift” or “catch-up”) affects them.

The machinery sector plays an important role in the economy of each country providing the technology, machinery, equipment and production lines for other manufacturing sectors. Nowadays, these companies often introduce also services to their portfolio, thus exceeding the boundary between the manufacturing sector and the service sector. These actions are caused by the global trend of shifting towards a service economy and harsh competitive conditions in the market place. The aim of this article is to assess the condition of the selected group of companies operating in the sector of machinery and industrial equipment manufacturing in terms of technical efficiency, and to examine whether the number of services offered by them correlates with the efficiency score. The analysis was made using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), which as a non-parametric method, is widely used for studding the efficiency of both business institutions and public organizations, for which the relationship between inputs and achieved outputs (i.e. the production function) is unknown. Data for the study were drawn from the EMIS (Emerging Market Information Service) database, and the sampling was made in accordance with the DEA methodology taking into account factual and statistical methods. Both, companies that offer a wide range of services and those that limit the range of services to warranty support, were analyzed, and then the results were compared and discussed.

The main objective of the research was to determine the impact of selected endogenous factors, as well as the amount of subsidies from EU funds on the technical efficiency of production factors in family farms. The research included farms from Bydgoszcz subregion which before pre-accession of Poland to the European Union (1996 -2003) benefited from preferential loans. At the same time, in the years 2004-2011, they kept accounting in the Polish FADN system. Using the regression calculus, the impact of articular factors on the technical efficiency of farms was determined. The structural parameters of linear and non-linear models with many independent variables were estimated. As a result of the conducted analyzes, it was found that they improved efficiency: capital expenditure before and after accession, land area increase before accession, production intensity, increase in equity after accession, asset debt and external costs. However, they worsened efficiency: work expenses, pig stocking, debt of equity, fixed costs as well as additional investment activity and the share of subsidies in income.

The usage of the evaluation concerning IT projects by software producers constitutes a crucial element of their preparation and realization. From many generally accessible methodologies the authors chose two methods (Delphi and UCP1 ) as well as undertook an attempt of analyzing obtained results. Conducted results will support the evaluation of newly realized projects. The objective is an attempt of comparing the efficiency of selected methods of pricing the software with indicating the areas of their usage as well as factors which influence the realization of those projects.

W pracy przedstawiono analizy techniczno-ekonomiczne wyposażenia i użytkowania środków technicznych (zestawów maszyn) w 53 wybranych gospodarstwach rodzinnych o powierzchni od 8 do 150 ha UR, badanych w 2009 i 2010 r. Gospodarstwa podzielono na 11 grup, po 5 gospodarstw w grupach od I do IX i po 4 gospodarstwa w grupie X i XI, uszeregowanych według: A - wzrastającej powierzchni UR i B - zwiększającej się wartości uzyskiwanej nadwyżki bezpośredniej. Średnia wartość odtworzeniowa środków technicznych wynosiła w 2009 r. 979,4 tys. zł·gosp.-1, czyli 22,2 tys. zł·ha-1 UR, a w 2010 r. wyniosła 1014,8 tys. zł·gosp.-1, czyli 22,1 tys. zł·ha-1 UR. Średnia amortyzacja wynosiła 37,16 tys. zł·gosp.-1, czyli 840 zł·ha-1 UR w 2009 r., i 38,75 tys. zł·gosp.-1, czyli 845 zł·ha-1 UR w 2010 r. Badano statystyczne korelacje między jednostkową wartością zestawu maszyn i ich amortyzacji, a wzrastającą powierzchnią UR (A) i zwiększającą się wartością nadwyżki bezpośredniej (B). Wynika z nich, że wraz ze wzrostem powierzchni UR lub zwiększaniem się wartości nadwyżki bezpośredniej maleje jednostkowa wartość (zł·ha-1) odtworzeniowa posiadanych maszyn i maleje jednostkowa wartość ich rocznej amortyzacji (zł·ha-1 UR). Korelacja ta jest wyraźniejsza w wariancie A (wzrastająca powierzchnia UR) niż w wariancie B (zwiększająca się wartość nadwyżki bezpośredniej). Średni okres trwania maszyn wyniósł 26,4 lat w 2009 r. i 26,2 lat w 2010 r., przy czym minimalny wyniósł 22,5 lata, a maksymalny - 29,8 lat.
The paper presents a technical and economic analysis of equipment and use of technical means (sets of machines) in 53 selected family farms ranging in size from 8 to 150 ha of arable land surveyed in 2009 and 2010. Farms were divided into 11 groups, every group from I to IX included 5 farms, and groups X and XI included 4 farms which were ordered according to: A - increased area of arable land and B - increased value of direct surplus. In 2009 the average replacement value of technical means amounted to 979.4 thous. PLN·farm-1, i.e. - 22.2 thous. PLN·ha-1 AL, and in 2010 it amounted to 1014.8 thous. PLNN·farm-1 - i.e. 22.1 thous. PLN·ha-1 AL. The aver-age depreciation amounted to 37.16 thous. PLN·farm-1, i.e. 840 PLN·ha-1AL in 2009, and 38.75 thous. PLN·farm-1, i.e. 845 PLN·ha-1 AL in 2010. There were analyzed statistical correlations between the unit value of machines and their depreciation, and both increasing surface of arable land (A) and increasing value of direct surplus (B). The above correlations show that with increas-ing arable area or with increasing value of direct surplus, the unit replacement value (PLN·ha-1) replacement of machines is decreasing and the unit value of the annual depreciation (PLN·ha-1 AL) is decreasing, too. This correlation is more marked in the variant A (increasing arable land) than in option B (increasing value of direct surplus). The average working life of machines was 26.4 years in 2009, and 26.2 years in 2010, but the minimum working life was 22.5 years, and the maximum working life amounted to 29.8 years.
