- The following article describes a project that relates to the developing of translation competence between German and Polish languages. The project was conducted at the University of Gdańsk among students of Applied Linguistics with the translation specialization. The used method was academic tutoring as a personalized way of recognizing student’s potential and needs in the field of translation and the most efficient opportunity to correct student’s translated texts. The second aim of the project was to investigate the role of tandem work and this impact of the translation competence developing process.
