Opis:
Candida albicans (Candida albicans) is one of the major sources of nosocomial infections in humans which may prove fatal in 30% of cases. The hospital acquired infection is very difficult to treat affectively due to the presence of drug resistant pathogenic strains, therefore there is a need to find alternative drug targets to cure this infection. In silico and computational level frame work was used to prioritize and establish antifungal drug targets of Candida albicans. The identification of putative drug targets was based on acquiring 5090 completely annotated genes of Candida albicans from available databases which were categorized into essential and non-essential genes. The result indicated that 9% of proteins were essential and could become potential candidates for intervention which might result in pathogen eradication. We studied cluster of orthologs and the subtractive genomic analysis of these essential proteins against human genome was made as a reference to minimize the side effects. It was seen that 14% of Candida albicans proteins were evolutionary related to the human proteins while 86% are non-human homologs. In the next step of compatible drug target selections, the non-human homologs were sequentially compared to the human microbiome data to minimize the potential effects against gut flora which accumulated to 38% of the essential genome. The sub-cellular localization of these candidate proteins in fungal cellular systems indicated that 80% of them are cytoplasmic, 10% are mitochondrial and the remaining 10% are associated with the cell wall. The role of these non-human and non-gut flora putative target proteins in Candida albicans biological pathways was studied. Due to their integrated and critical role in Candida albicans replication cycle, four proteins were selected for molecular modeling. For drug designing and development, four high quality and reliable protein models with more than 70% sequence identity were constructed. These proteins are used for the docking studies of the known and new ligands (unpublished data). Our study will be an effective framework for drug target identifications of pathogenic microbial strains and development of new therapies against the infections they cause.

Opis:
One popular approach to the problem of Non-Cooperative Target Identification is the use of 2D Inverse SAR images. Methods to successfully identify a target include the comparison of a set of scattering centers in the ISAR image to a database or the estimation of target dimensions. While working well in theory, these techniques face major difficulties in practice. In the conventional case of a monostatic radar, visibility of scattering centers varies with the target aspect angle due to fading. In this paper we examine that the visibility of scattering centers can be improved by incoherent addition of images from spatially distributed radars. The main focus lies in the description and results of a multistatic ISAR experiment carried out at Fraunhofer FHR. We display theoretically derived bistatic synchronization errors in a practical system and formulate additional multistatic synchronization requirements, necessary to add up the images.

Precision agriculture is a method of intensification in agricultural production with respect to the principles of sustainable development. Plant protection with use of the instruments of precision agriculture is the element of agricultural production in which investments can be easily balanced by the obtained benefits. Among the issues of precision agriculture the most important ones are decision support systems (DSS) for prognosis of pest and disease incidences, characterization, detection and identification systems for precise determination of the spray target and navigation systems used to control the executive tools and devices for spray application. Advanced measuring and informatics systems used in precise plant protection can also be employed for traceability purposes in order to follow and control the each stage of production chain.

Opis:
The small far infrared target of ship in surge interference is easy to have visual deviation causing the low accuracy of target positioning and the bad target identification performance. In order to improve the accuracy of far small infrared targets recognition of ship under surge interference, this paper proposed far small infrared target recognition algorithm of ship based on distributed target position estimation and DOA location in computer vision model for constructing coherent distributed source array model of far small infrared target distribution of ship. This algorithm used MUSIC algorithm for the beamforming processing of far small infrared target echo model of ship. Combined with the adaptive filtering algorithm we carried out the surge interference suppression and the estimation of central direction of arrival and angle spread of far small infrared target of ship through multidimensional spectrum peak searching algorithm, realizing the joint estimation of distance of ship target, DOA and frequency parameters, so as to realize the accurate positioning and recognition of targets. Simulation results show that using this method for the far small infrared target recognition of ship under surge interference, the spectral peak sharpness of spectral peak search of target position is high, side-lobe suppression performance is good, which shows the high accuracy of target position estimation and location, the accuracy and anti-interference performance of far small infrared target recognition of ship is good, and has superior performance.

Opis:
Collision avoidance is one of the high-level safety objectives and requires a complete and reliable description of maritime traffic situation. A combined use of data provided by independent data sources is an approach to improve the accuracy and integrity of traffic situation related information. In this paper we study the usage of radar images for automatic identification system (AIS) and radar fusion. Therefore we simulate synthetic radar images and evaluate the tracking performance of the particle filter algorithm as the most promising filter approach. During the filter process the algorithm estimates the target position and velocity which we finally compare with the known position of the simulation. This approach allows the performance analysis of the particle filter for vessel tracking on radar images. In a second extended simulation we add the respective AIS information of the target vessel and study the gained level of improvement for the particle filter approach. The work of this paper is integrated in the research and development activities of DLR Institute of Communications and Navigation dealing with the introduction of data and system integrity into the maritime traffic system. One of the aimed objectives is the automatic assessment of the traffic situation aboard a vessel including integrity information.

Opis:
Detection of small crafts/targets, in particular, sailing yachts with the ship's radar is not always possible. Radar reflectors are used to improve their detection. The AIS (Automatic Identification System) transmits position, motion vector and identification signals of a vessel to other ships and VTS (Vessel Traffic Services) centers . This system significantly increases the possibility to detect small crafts. The paper presents results of comparative study of using information from the Automatic Identification System and from radar to determine the accuracy of tracking the position and motion vector of ships in the Gulf of Gdansk. Possibilities and limitations of the AIS are also presented.

Opis:
It is necessary to develop a useful application to use big data like as AIS for safety and efficiency of ship operation. AIS is very useful system to collect targets information, but this information is not effective use yet. The evaluation method of collision risk is one of the cause disturb. Usually the collision risk of ship is evaluated by the value of the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) which is related to a relative motion. So, it becomes difficult to find out a safety pass in a congested water. Here, Line of Predicted Collision (LOPC) and Obstacle Zone by Target (OZT) for evaluation of collision risk are introduced, these values are related to a true motion and it became visible of dangerous place, so it will make easy to find out a safety pass in a congested water.
