Within this work, we discuss the existence of solutions for a coupled system of linear fractional differential equations involving Caputo-Fabrizio fractional orders. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution by using the Picard-Lindel ̈of method and fixed point theory. Also, to compute an approximate solution of problem, we utilize the Adomian decomposition method (ADM), as this method provides the solution in the form of a series such that the infinite series converge to the exact solution. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Opis:
The paper presents an example of regeneration of a common rail piezoelectric fuel injector, which was carried out with using used parts. The most important stages of maintenance activities are listed, as well as the types of diagnostic tests performed on separate test benches. The obtained results indicate that this process can be effectively carried out with existing technological problems and lack of support from the manufacturer. At the same time, it was shown that, contrary to popular belief, cannibalisation does not have to be limited only to minor elements, but also to key components important from the point of view of the satisfactory technical condition and correct working of the fuel injector during further operation.

Opis:
Tar formation is a significant issue during biomass gasification. Catalytic removal of tars with the use of nickel cata-lyst allows to obtain high conversion rate but coke formation on catalysts surface lead to its deactivation. Toluene decomposition as a tar imitator was studied in gliding discharge plasma-catalytic system with the use of 5%, 10% and 15% by weight Ni and NiO catalyst on Al2O3 (α-Al2O3) and Peshiney (γ-Al2O3) carrier in gas composition similar to the gas after biomass pyrolysis. The optimal concentration of nickel was identified to be 10% by weight on Al2O3. It was stable in all studiedinitial toluene concentrations, discharge power while C7H8 conversion rate remained high – up to 82%. During the process, nickel catalysts were deactivated by sooth formation on the surface. On catalysts surface, toluene decomposition products were identified including benzyl alcohol and 3-hexen-2-one.

The stability of positive linear continuous-time and discrete-time systems is analyzed by the use of the decomposition of the state matrices into symmetrical and antisymmetrical parts. It is shown that: 1) The state Metzler matrix of positive continuous-time linear system is Hurwitz if and only if its symmetrical part is Hurwitz; 2) The state matrix of positive linear discrete-time system is Schur if and only if its symmetrical part is Hurwitz. These results are extended to inverse matrices of the state matrices of the positive linear systems.

Necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity and reachability of descriptor discrete-time linear systems are given. Conditions for the existence of solution and procedure for computation of optimal input and the minimal value of the performance index is proposed and illustrated by a numerical example.

This paper is concerned with robust stabilization of continuous linear positive time-delay systems with parametric uncertainties. The delay considered in this work is a bounded time-varying function. Previously, we have demonstrated that the equidistant delay-decomposition technique is less conservative when it is applied to linear positive time-delay systems. Thus, we use simply a delay bi-decomposition in an appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional. By using classical and partitioned control gains, the state-feedback controllers developed in our work are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The efficiency of the proposed robust control laws is illustrated with via an example.

This study compared soil CO2 efflux rates in three adjacent coniferous plantations consisting of larch (Larix leptolepis Gordon), red pine (Pinus densiflora S. et Z.) and rigitaeda pine (P. rigitaeda: P. rigida Mill × P. taeda L.) species planted in the same year (1963). Soil CO2 efflux, litter fall carbon (C) and root decomposition rates were measured with soil environmental factors for two years. The mean annual soil CO2 efflux rates (g CO2 m−2 hour−1) were the highest in rigitaeda pine (0.30), followed by red pine (0.27) and larch (0.24) plantations. An exponential regression of the CO2 efflux rates against their corresponding soil temperatures showed a significant (P < 0.05) relationship (red pine R2 = 0.69; rigitaeda pine R2 = 0.67; larch R2 = 0.63). The soil CO2 efflux rates were negatively correlated with soil pH, but the soil water and soil organic C content were not significantly correlated with the CO2 efflux rates. Soil CO2-C efflux rates were correlated by litter fall C inputs in the larch and red pine plantations, and the decomposition rates of 5–10 mm diameter roots in the larch plantation. This result is useful in understanding potential responses of soil CO2 efflux rates with changes in stand and soil environmental factors induced by different tree species.

Opis:
Decomposition is the best method to analyze complicated systems. The whole system is divided into a set of smaller parts, i.e. subsystems. These items are connected to each other by input and output interfaces. Every subsystem could be analyzed using separate algorithms and procedures that are more suitable for solving the local task. In the article, a complicated electrical system is decomposed and the interaction decoupling mode is used to coordinate the local task solution. Each of the first–level subsystems, such as an optimization problem, is defined completely independently from the other problems. The subsystems are instructed to select the local input as well as the local interface output in an optimal fashion. The local task's solution depends not only on the internal subsystems’ parameters, but on the value of interfaces too. To achieve the global task solution, local tasks have to be coordinated using an appropriate coordination principle.

Opis:
As complex systems have become global and essential in today’s society, their reliable design and the determination of their availability have turned into a very important task for managers and engineers. Industrial robots are examples of these complex systems that are being increasingly used for intelligent transportation, production and distribution of materials in warehouses and automated production lines. In this paper, two techniques of reliability evaluation are developed for a complex system of robots. Decomposition method and minimal path and cuts method are adapted for the proposed complex system. For practical implementation, a particular robot system is first modeled. Then, reliability block diagram is adopted to model the complex system for reliability evaluation purpose. Finally, the methods are implemented and their properties are discussed.

This paper concerns the problem of designing an EID-based robust output-feedback modified repetitive-control system (ROFMRCS) that provides satisfactory aperiodic-disturbance rejection performance for a class of plants with time-varying structured uncertainties. An equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) estimator is added to the ROFMRCS that estimates the influences of all types of disturbances and compensates them. A continuous-discrete two-dimensional model is built to describe the EID-based ROFMRCS that accurately presents the features of repetitive control, thereby enabling the control and learning actions to be preferentially adjusted. A robust stability condition for the closed-loop system is given in terms of a linear matrix inequality. It yields the parameters of the repetitive controller, the output-feedback controller, and the EID-estimator. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the validity of the method.

Background: The logistic systems are very complex socio-technical systems. In this paper the proposal of application of the hierarchical multi-layers system platform HILS approach for the solution of the complex vehicle routing problems is presented. The interactive system functional structure was proposed which by intelligent dedicated inter-layers interactions enables the professional solutions of these practical problems. To illustrate these capabilities the complex example of the real-time VRP-SPD-TW routing problem was presented in which upper layers offers the context-related real-time updating network specifications that stimulates the adequate routing parameters and specifications updating for problem solution in optimization layer. At the bottom dispatching control layer the DISCON (Dispatching CONtrol) method from public transport was adopted to logistics applications in which the actual routing is treated as obligatory reference schedule to be stabilized. The intelligence aspects are related among others to HILS based decomposition, context-related trade-offs between routing modifications and corrective dispatching control capabilities e.g. priority or route guidance actions. Methods: Decomposition of the vehicle routing problem for the HILS layers tasks creating the ILS system hierarchical structure. Dedicated solution method for the VRP-SPD-TW routing problem. The recognition of the control preferences structure by AHP-Entropy methods. DISCON and PIACON multi-criteria interacting control methods. Results: Original formulation and solution of the vehicle routing problem by system-wide approach with essential practical advantages: consistency, lack of redundancy, essential reduction of dimension, dedicated formulation, multi-criteria approach, exploration of the integration and intelligence features supported by the intelligent PIACON-DISCON methods control activities Conclusions: The presented proposal creates the professional approach to the solution of the crucial problems in logistics systems with the implementation of modern tools and enabling technologies.
Wstęp: Zastosowano hierarchiczną wielowarstwową platformę systemową HILS do rozwiązywania złożonych problemów wyboru tras dla pojazdów logistycznych. Metody: Dekompozycja problemu wyboru tras na zadania warstw systemowych tworzących hierarchiczną strukturę ILS systemu. Dedykowana metoda rozwiązania problemu wyboru tras dla problemu VRP-SPD-TW . Metody rozpoznawania struktury preferencji sterowania wielokryterialnego AHP - Entropia. DISCON i PIACON metody optymalnego sterowania dyspozytorskiego i ruchu indywidualnego jedno/wielokryterialne. Wyniki: Sformułowano i rozwiązano oryginalny problem wyboru tras przy pomocy podejścia systemowego oferującego istotne zalety praktyczne, redukcja wymiarowości i redundancji, systemowe wielo-kryterialne podejście, eksploracja cech integracji i inteligencji wspomaganej inteligentnymi działaniami sterującymi. Wnioski: Proponowane podejście stanowi profesjonalne rozwiązanie kluczowych problemów spotykanych w systemach logistycznych z wykorzystaniem nowoczesnych narzędzi i technologii umożliwiających.

W pracy przedstawiono zastosowanie rozkładu wartości osobliwych (SVD) macierzy wydłużeń do analizy jakościowej kratownic oraz konstrukcji tensegrity. Rozkład taki pozwala na określenie mechanizmów infinitezymalnych oraz stanów samorównoważnych sił podłużnych konstrukcji. Znajomość takich stanów pozwala z kolei określić, czy rozważana kratownica znajduje się w konfiguracji tensegrity. Rozważania teoretyczne zilustrowano na przykładach.
The present paper is dedicated to the application of singular value decomposition (SVD) of extension matrix to the qualitative analysis of truss and tensegrity structures. The decomposition allow to define infinitesimal mechanisms as well as self-stress states of the truss. It can help to recognize if the truss is in tensegrity configuration. Theoretical considerations are illustrated on several examples.
