Opis:
The author presents the results of research aimed at determining the best conditions of supporting large and elastic machine elements such as crankshafts. A number of simulation tests were performed with variable shaft support conditions changed using the author’s system of elastic support of crankshafts. The selection criteria were established for support parameters. Meeting these criteria guarantees that shaft elastic deflections and strains are eliminated. Consequently, such strains will not affect the estimation of geometrical deviations of the measured object.

The paper addresses the problems of the sensitivity analysis and optimal design of multi-span sandwich panels with a soft core and flat thin steel facings. The response functional is formulated in a general form allowing wide practical applications. Sensitivity gradients of this functional with respect to dimensional, material and support parameters are derived using adjoint variable method. These operators account for the jump of the slope of a Timoshenko beam or a Reissner plate at the position of concentrated active load or reaction, thus extending the sensitivity operators known in literature. The jump of slope is the effect of shear deformation of the core. Special attention is focussed on sensitivity and optimisation allowing for variable support position and stiffness, because local phenomena observed in supporting area of sandwich plates often initiate failure mechanisms. Introducing optimally located elastic supports allows to reduce the unfavourable influence of temperature on the state of stress. Several examples illustrate the application of derived sensitivity operators and demonstrate their exactness.

The article presents principles of the most suitable support conditions which enable elimination of deflections and elastic deformations of crankshafts under their self-weight. On the basis of the formulated principles sample calculations of force values of support reactions were performed. This guarantees zero value of deflections on main journals depending on the angle of rotation of the shaft, applying available programme of strength calculations Nastran FX 2010. The obtained results have been approximated with a mathematical equation applying the calculating method based on the harmonic analysis theory. Then a comparative assessment of the force diagram (the forces were obtained via strength calculations and mathematical model including so called mutual inter-correlation coefficient) was made. The obtained results of comparative analysis showed high correspondence between the compared diagrams. Presented procedures of determining the required forces ensuring elimination of deflections and elastic deformations can be applied to measurements of crankshaft geometrical deviations realized on the basis of a measuring system with, so called, flexible support of a measured object.

The article presents study results of the influence of crankshaft construction changes on the choice of support conditions allowing to eliminate deflections and elastic deformations of crankshafts under their self-weight. For the purpose of this study we implemented a programme for strength calculations Nastran FX 2010 which enables modelling the research subject with a finite element method and counting the value if reaction forces ensuring zero value of deflections on main journals at a change in the crankshaft’s angle of rotation.

The logistics system of armed forces is a military organization consisting of management units as well as logistic sections and facilities which are interrelated. It has infrastructure which is adequate to the conducted processes and possessed resources, it conditions the transformation of logistic resources into logistic processes. It allows particular logistic resources to efficiently use time and space and hence perform functions related to logistic support by a given system1. The article titled “Logistic support of Polish Military Contingents – selected issues” focuses on general rules of logistic support, possible implementations, planning and coordination. The article gives a definition of logistics and its message. It also encompasses information related to inventory stocks philosophy and ways of keeping stocks. It also presents the characteristics of principles used in logistics in foreign operations.

Opis:
Buckling of thin-walled and load-bearing elements of a structure can have devastating consequences. Hence, buckling checks are an integral part of strength analysis of structures. The buckling problem of thin rectangular plates subjected to in-plane compressive and/or shear loading is of great importance in building, bridge, aerospace, marine, and shipbuilding industries. When buckling occurs, thin plates undergo large out-of-plane deflections, which in turn results in the development of large bending stresses and eventually complete failure of the structure. This paper deals with the buckling stability assessment of uniaxially-compressed plates with different support conditions within the framework of classical plate theory. The main objective of this research is to explore some uncovered aspects of buckling stability of plates by considering the effects of support conditions, aspect ratio, and slenderness ratio, which will consequently result in efficient design of such thin-walled structures. To this end, in addition to validation of the numerical simulation, some case studies have been performed in order to gain a better understanding of different aspects of buckling stability of such thin-walled structures.

Celem referatu jest przedstawienie analizy wybranych formalnych własności taksonomicznej metody wektorów nośnych (SVC). Wyniki dotyczące nowej metody SVC zestawiono i porównano z własnościami innych znanych metod taksonomicznych. Ponieważ na ogół nie jest możliwe wskazanie, która z metod taksonomicznych daje najlepsze rezultaty, stojąc wobec konkretnego problemu, badacz musi dokonywać wyboru metody w oparciu o wiedzę dotyczącą ich własności. Zadaniem badacza jest wtedy ustalenie preferencji w zbiorze własności metod by następnie użyć ich przy doborze odpowiedniego narzędzia. Wiedza dotycząca formalnych własności metod taksonomicznych jest w referacie rozszerzona o nową- taksonomiczną metodę wektorów nośnych.
The aim o f this paper is to analyse the relatively new clustering method - Support Vector Clustering (SVC) in terms o f fulfilling admissibility conditions. The results are compared within a group o f four other clustering methods. Since it is not possible to assess which clustering method is the "best" in general, given a specific problem the user can decide which method to apply considering some properties o f clustering methods, known as admissibility conditions. This paper expands the knowledge about the properties o f clustering methods with the properties o f SVC.

Domestic violence is a global issue that crosses national borders, as well as socio-economic, cultural, racial and class differences. This problem is widely dispersed geographically, which made it typical and tolerated in many social environments. The violence used by an intimate partner Intimate Partner Violence is a currently accepted term used to describe "violence in family" or "domestic violence". IPV is traditionally understood as a crime committed by strong, dominant men against vulnerable women. This issue appears regularly in public debates, the media and scientific studies. However, the violence used by women against men is still a taboo subject. Research on this phenomenon is still rare. However, domestic violence exerted by women is a reality, it occurs virtually in every society, although to a different degree. The aim of the article is to show the violence against men exerted by women, as well as the causes and effects of the phenomenon. Institutional forms of support for men - victims of violence - in selected French-speaking countries were also presented. The article is based on the monographic method - the analysis of available scientific sources (published in English, French and Polish) describing the phenomenon being diagnosed

The purpose of the prepared material is to demonstrate the selected aspects of logistic terrain assessment in the context of the provision of logistic support for troops during tactical operations. The development of the article was preceded by a series of multifaceted analyses of professional literature and periodicals devoted to the military terrain analysis and specific combat environments, as well as determinants of logistical support, which consequently enabled the synthesis and formulation of conclusions.
Celem przygotowanego materiału jest ukazanie wybranych aspektów logistycznej oceny terenu w kontekście osiągania celu zabezpieczenia logistycznego wojsk w działaniach taktycznych. Opracowanie artykułu zostało poprzedzone szeregiem wieloaspektowych analiz literatury fachowej oraz periodyków traktujących zarówno o wojskowej analizie terenu, jak i specyficznych środowiskach walki, a także determinantach zabezpieczenia logistycznego, co w konsekwencji umożliwiło dokonanie syntezy oraz sformułowanie wniosków.

The article contains an overview of issues related to interoperability in agribusiness. The following issues were consequently analyzed: the essence and determinants of organizational relationships in agribusiness, the essence of producer groups and their legal conditions, the development trends of producer groups in Poland and the benefits and barriers to the functioning of producer groups in Poland. While discussing the issues, their systemic approach and comprehensive analysis of the functioning of producer groups were highlighted, taking into account the conditions and possibilities for their creation and activities.

Various tragic events are taking place in the world, and Ukraine, which is now in a state of war on the part of Russia, finds itself in such a situation. This situation has become part of the daily life of most Ukrainians and Ukrainian families who are forced to move to safer places of stay. People are losing loved ones and friends, staying away from their children, leaving their homes, their favorite jobs, and witnessing violence, murder, and death. Under such conditions, they experience fear, anxiety, hooking and other reactions that depend on the individuality of the adult or child. Each person can cope with life’s problems in different ways. But as the experience of many countries shows, in such situations, it is easier for victims to cope with difficulties and socialize to new conditions, if appropriate social support is provided. Therefore, during the war on the territory of Ukraine, social work with forcibly displaced families becomes especially important. The article updates the problem of social work with Ukrainian families during the Russian occupation of Ukraine. The views of scientists on the content of the concept of social work are considered and the author’s definition of the concept of «social work with forcibly displaced families» is proposed. A survey of Ukrainian families during the first place since the beginning of the war on the territory of Ukraine was carried out to determine their psychological state about the next actions and thoughts for the future in a difficult time for all Ukrainians. The problem of social support of Ukrainian families in the western region of Ukraine and European countries has been updated. The list of organizations and initiatives that provide assistance to Ukrainians in the period of martial law in Ukraine is distinguished. Particular attention was paid to the organization of social support for Ukrainian families by scientific and pedagogical workers and students of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University – and the Polish Republic. The types of such assistance, the work of aid points in Warsaw are analyzed. Among the most common types of such assistance, the following are distinguished: information and housing; in the study of Ukrainian, and in Poland – Polish, free legal assistance, health care services; free psychological assistance; in finding a job; free assistance to refugees’ animals; provision of free travel in public transport, etc. Certainly, all types of assistance are interrelated and each stimulates the stabilization of the other. But the timely and correct provision of social support, including psychological assistance, leads to faster stabilization of a person as an individual in the family, team and society.
У світі відбувають різноманітні трагічні події, і в такій ситуації опинилася і Україна, яка зараз перебуває у стані війни з боку Росії. Така ситуація стала частиною повсякденного життя більшості українців та українських сімей, що вимушені переміщатися у більш безпечні місця перебування. Люди втрачають близьких людей та друзів, залишаються на відстані від своїх дітей, покидають домівки, улюблену роботу та є свідками насильства, вбивства і смерті. За таких умов переживають страх, тривогу, заціпеніння та інші реакції, що залежать від індивідуальності дорослої особи чи дитини. Кожна людина по різному може впоратися з життєвими проблемами. Але як показує досвід багатьох країн, в таких ситуаціях постраждалим легше впоратися з труднощами і соціалізуватися до нових умов, якщо здійснюється відповідний соціальний супровід. Тому в період війни на території України особливої актуальності набуває соціальна робота саме з вимушено переміщеними сім’ями. У статті актуалізовано проблему соціальної роботи з українськими сім’ями в період російської окупації території України. Розглянуто погляди вчених щодо змісту поняття соціальна робота та запропоновано авторське визначення поняття «соціальна робота з вимушено переміщеними сім’ями». Здійснено опитування українських сімей протягом першого місця з початку війни на території України, щоб визначити їх психологічний стан про наступні дії та думки на подальше майбутнє у важкий для усіх українців час. Актуалізовано проблему соціального супроводу українських сімей у західному регіоні України та країнах Європи. Виокремлено перелік організацій та ініціатив, що здійснюють допомогу українцям у період воєнного стану на території України. Особливу увагу приділено питанням організації соціального супроводу українських сімей науково-педагогічними працівниками та студентами Прикарпатського національного університету імені Василя Стефаника та Польською Республікою. Проаналізовано види такої допомоги, роботу пунктів надання допомоги у Варшаві. Серед найбільш поширених видів такої допомоги виокремлено такі: інформаційна та житлова; у вивченні української, а у Польщі – польської мови, безкоштовна юридична допомога, послуги з охорони здоров’я; безкоштовна психологічна допомога; у пошуку місця праці; безкоштовна допомога тваринам біженців; надання безкоштовного проїзду у громадському транспорті тощо. Безумовно, що усі види допомоги є взаємопов’язаними і кожна з них стимулює стабілізацію іншої. Але вчасне і правильне надання соціального супроводу, в тому числі психологічної допомоги призводить до швидшої стабілізації людини як індивіда в сім’ї, колективі та суспільстві.

The aim of this paper is to explore issues related to children and adolescents with chronic diseases and their social functioning in Poland. The article begins with a theoretical framework, including definitions of categorical and non‑categorical chronic diseases. The author presents the data on occurrence of chronic conditions, social assistance for families with children with chronic conditions, education system (children with chronic conditions as children with special educational needs) and home education. In the second part the author looks at the functioning of children and adolescents with chronic diseases in social institutions (family, school, etc.). In the final section some recommendations with respect to improving the social functioning of children and adolescents with chronic conditions are discussed.

Purpose: The questionnaire-based study investigated whether the COVID-19 pandemic increased stress in busy truck drivers' jobs. Design/methodology/approach: The sample of 239 drivers was examined in March-August, 2021. Findings: The study revealed that most drivers were resilient to COVID-19-related stressors. Some stressors, such as age, seniority, recovering from COVID-19, and worsening family financial conditions, were found to have more impact on some respondents than others. Age and seniority were related to anxiety about increased occupational activities. Those whose economic conditions worsened were afraid of job loss. People who recovered from COVID-19 felt overworked more often than others and tended to be scared of safety on the road and being alone in the truck. They more often required psychological support. Research limitations/implications: The study is based on a sample of drivers observed conveniently in 2021. Monitoring them in two or three waves is recommended to compare the impact of other processes that could affect responses. Practical implications: The outcomes are valuable in practice twofold. Firstly, the knowledge is acquired directly from the drivers who proved to be pretty resilient to COVID-related issues; however, some were more sensitive than others. That means the drivers as an occupational group cannot be considered uniform. Some needed psychological support, and such cases should be identified at the enterprise level. Secondly, the results show that COVID-related stressors with other accompanying issues increase the impact on drivers’ health. Originality/value: The empirical results revealed the most significant stressors. They were justified by using several stress definitions and psychological theories, particularly the Conservation of Resources Theory. They can be considered in the drivers' management process.

Opis:
The powered roof support is an essential part of the protection of the mining wall. Its main task is to support the roof of the wall excavation and, as such, it must resist the coal mass that has the potential to collapse the mining pit. The force with which the powered roof support acts on the roof of the excavation is called load-carrying capacity. This paper describes the problem of the load-carrying capacity of powered roof support, in particular reviewing their charging systems. The research aims to ensure that the required initial load-carrying capacity is obtained and the working load-carrying capacity is maintained. This paper presents the research results of a double-block prototype equipped with an automatic charging system. We present the results of both bench and operational testing in real conditions.
Zmechanizowana obudowa ścianowa stanowi podstawowe zabezpieczenie w ścianie wydobywczej. Jej zasadniczym zadaniem jest utrzymanie stropu znajdującego się nad wyrobiskiem ścianowym. Tym samym obudowa musi mieć zdolność do stawiania oporu górotworowi, który stara się zacisnąć wyrobisko górnicze. Siła, z jaką obudowa działa na strop wyrobiska, nazywana jest podpornością. W artykule opisano problematykę podporności zmechanizowanej obudowy ścianowej. Dokonano przeglądu układów doładowania. Jako cel pracy przyjęto zapewnienie uzyskania wymaganej podporności wstępnej i utrzymania podporności roboczej. W tym zakresie przedstawiono uzyskane wyniki badań nad prototypowym podwójnym blokiem z automatycznym doładowaniem ciśnienia. Artykuł uwzględnia wyniki badań stanowiskowych oraz eksploatacyjnych w warunkach rzeczywistych.
