    Artykuł jest zbiorem refleksji etycznych wynikających z doświadczeń autora w prowadzeniu badań z udziałem rodziców dzieci z zespołem Aspergera. Punktem odniesienia dla tych rozważań są wybrane zapisy zawarte w „Kodeksie etyki socjologa”, w części dotyczącej relacji z uczestnikami badań. W szczególności zostały przeanalizowane problemy etyczne związane z relacjami pomiędzy badaczem a osobami badanymi: Gdzie przebiega granica pomiędzy rolą badacza a innymi możliwymi rolami (np. konsultanta, osoby wspierającej, terapeuty)? Czy można wykroczyć poza rolę badacza? Wskazano także na trudności związane z przestrzeganiem zasady mówiącej, że prowadzone badania nie mogą mieć negatywnego wpływu na stan ich uczestników: Czy takie badania powinni prowadzić jedynie socjologowie będący jednocześnie psychologami czy terapeutami, a więc osoby profesjonalnie przygotowane na niespodziewane reakcje osób doświadczonych trudnymi do wyobrażenia problemami codzienności życia z dzieckiem z niepełnosprawnością? Czy jest możliwe przygotowanie się na takie niespodziewane sytuacje w rozmowie z rodzicami dzieci z zespołem Aspergera? W artykule pokazano, że na te pytania nie ma jednoznacznej odpowiedzi.
    The article is a collection of reflections involving ethical issues, developed by the author over the course of the research process involving parents of children with Asperger’s syndrome. As a point of reference for these considerations, the author has chosen selected entries of the “Sociologist’s code of ethics” of the Polish Sociological Association in the section concerning the researcherparticipant relationship. The article focuses on the ethical problems in terms of the relationship between the researcher and the examined subjects, analysing such questions as: Where is the boundary between the role of the researcher and other possible roles (e.g., that of a consultant, support person, or therapist) or can one go beyond the role of researcher? The author also points out some difficulties arising from adhering to the principle that research must not have a negative impact on the condition of its participants. Should such research only be carried out by sociologists who are also professional psychologists or therapists, and as such are prepared for various unexpected reactions of people facing, often hard to imagine, everyday difficulties with a disabled child? Is it possible to prepare oneself for such unexpected situations that may arise in conversation with parents of children with Asperger’s syndrome? However, there are no simple answers to these questions.

    The aim of the present article is to examine Levinas’ texts with the intention of showing and verifying the realization of his idea of philosophizing as “deciphering of what has been hidden in palimpsest writing” (écriture). I discuss Dostoevsky’s verbal and semantic layer (“word-sense”) present in Levinas’ palimpsest discourse. I offer an insight into the function of many of Dostoevsky’s concepts, such as the notion of “insatiable co-suffering” with another human being, the dogma about the accountability of “everything and everybody”, negative (see the many aspects of the “Cain’s answer” connected with the question of human reliance on himself only and a total lack of restraint) and positive formulas in relation with the Other, resulting in defining one’s personality (by means of communion with Thou, love for one’s neighbor and the effort to make one’s image beautiful in the moral sense) that have been found in the pages of Levinas’ writings. I show the means by which Dostoevsky’s polyvalent formulas, correlated with The Bible and its heavily charged with meaning position (The Book of Genesis, The Book of Isaiah, The Gospel of St. Matthew, and others), get semantically enriched and absorbed, as key components, by Levinas’ philosophical thinking and his hierarchy of values. I discuss the extent to which they determine his conceptualization of “subjectivity of ethical subject”: the concept of “I” in the accusative (“me voici”), the “I” summoned to be responsible “for everything and for all men”, to be a “guardian of one’s brother” on one’s way to “being-in-God”. In the article I also focus on the productivity and significance of Levinas’ methodological stance, which determines his philosophical hermeneutics and the palimpsest character of his discourse, i.e. their being orientated towards: 1) continuation and preservation of the “ancient”, original sense and its creative growth in a new “ideological environment”, 2) disclosing interrelation between “truth” and the philosophical method of emphasis and sublimation; this allows one to explain an important role of rhetorical figures and the increasing repetitiveness of topoi of thought in Levinas’ discourse, which come from/send one thinking of Dostoevsky (as well as of myth, Shakespeare and others), but approach a new level of knowledge and understanding.
    В статье исследуется корпус текстов Левинаса с целью указать и верифицировать осуществление его «авторской» идеи о философствовании как «дешифровке запрятанного в палимпсесте писания» [écriture]. Рассматривается функция словесного и смыслового слоя («словосмысла») Достоевского в палимпсестном дискурсе философа — многократные примеры присутствия формул/идеологем писателя: понятия «ненасытимого сострадания» к другому человеку, догмата о виновности «всех за все и за всех», отрицательных (многоаспектная интерпретация «Каинова ответа», связанного с вопросом о человеческой самодостаточности и дерзком своеволии) и положительных формул отношения к Другому, и, тем самым, самоопределения личности (через причастность к Ты, любовь к ближнему и усилие сделать свой образ «благолепным»). Указывается, каким образом поливалентные формулы Достоевского, соотносимые с Библией и ее смысловой позицией (с книгой Бытия, Исаи, Евангелием от Матвея и др.), семантически обогащенные, в качестве ключевых составляющих, встраиваются в философское мышление Левинаса и его ценностную иерархию; в какой степени они определяют его концептуализацию «субъективности этического субъекта»: концепт «я» в аккузативе («me voici»), «я» призванного к ответственности «за все и за всех», — к тому, чтобы быть сторожем брата своего, в своем «к-Богу-бытии». Выявляется продуктивность и значимость методологической установки Левинаса, определяющей его философскую герменевтику и палимпсестность дискурса, т.е. ориентацию на 1) преемственность и сохранность «древнего», изначального смысла и его творческое взращивание в новой «идеологической среде»; 2) обнаружение взаимосвязи «истины» и философского метода, каким полагается эмфаз и сублимация; это объясняет значимую роль риторических фигур и возвышающей повторности топосов мысли в дискурсе Левинаса, восходящих/отсылающих к Достоевскому (также к мифу, Шекспиру и др.), но возводимых на новую ступень познания и понимания.
    Przedmiotem badań w prezentowanym studium uczyniono korpus tekstów Lévinasa, by poddać namysłowi i weryfikacji jego koncept filozofowania jako „deszyfrowania tego, co zostało ukryte w palimpseście Pisma (écriture)”. Rozważania miały na celu udowodnienie, że konstytutywną warstwę palimpsestowej struktury dzieł Lévinasa stanowi „tekst Dostojewskiego”: powtarzające się i eksplikowane cytaty, jawne i ukryte odniesienia do „myślisłów”/formuł pisarza. Są to między innymi: pojęcie „nienasyconego współczucia” wobec Drugiego, dogmat o „winie każdego za wszystko i wszystkich”, negatywne i pozytywne formuły relacji z Innym (wielokrotnie ponawiana interpretacja sensu „odpowiedzi Kaina”, koncept miłości bliźniego i in.) i samookreślenia osoby ludzkiej. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że uobecnione i kluczowe u Lévinasa koncepty Dostojewskiego, skonfrontowane z Biblią (Księga Rodzaju, Izajasza, Ewangelia według św. Mateusza) i poddane „uwznioślającej” transformacji stają się istotnym składnikiem aksjologicznego i etycznego myślenia filozofa, określając jego pojmowanie podmiotowości człowieka – podmiotu etycznego (koncepcję „ja” w akkuzatiwie, me voici) w jego powołaniu do odpowiedzialności za bliźniego; do tego, by być „stróżem brata swego” w swoim „byciu-ku-Bogu”. Ujawniono produktywność metodologicznej strategii Lévinasa, odzwierciedlonej w jego hermeneutyce filozoficznej i palimpsestowości dyskursu, a więc orientacji: 1) na przenoszenie sensu źródłowego, „pradawnego” i jego twórcze rozkrzewianie w nowej sytuacji ideologicznej; 2) na współdziałanie „prawdy” i „metody”, wyrażanej za pomocą pojęć sublimacji i emfazy; wyjaśniono tym samym rolę i znaczenie figur retorycznych oraz hiperbolicznych powtórzeń w dyskursie filozofa, zwłaszcza tych, które odsyłając do formuł Dostojewskiego (także do mitu, Szekspira i in.) i poszerzając ich pole semantyczne, wznoszą ich sens na wyższy poziom poznania i rozumienia.

    This article is about the human dignity which represents the phenomenon much discussed in the present society. Discussions about these issues function as a fundamental ground, but still it is not enough. The more important are the tendencies of society to implement this term to the practical life of the people. I decided to think about the human dignity in the context of ethics of social consequences; especially I focused on the theory of V. Gluchman. As the group of people with special needs create a significant object of my interest, my reflections about this theory of human dignity are connected to this special group. Gluchman does not think about the human dignity absolutely (as for example G. Collste), he rather considers several criteria as being needful for acquirement of human dignity. He introduces the scale of human dignity that includes individual numbers functioning as important boundaries, briefly number 1 stands for human dignity of all people when they are born, number 2 constitutes the human dignity of moral subject and other higher numbers can be achieved based on positive social consequences of their acts. There is one important question. What about the dignity of people with special needs, especially with those with mental handicap? They usually lack relevant qualities which constitute the criteria for being a moral subject. So it means that they can not obtain the higher level of human dignity then that represented by the number 2 (because this number stands for the dignity of moral subject). When concerning the group of people with mental handicap, I consider this scale with these special numbers (boundaries) as inadequate, because in my opinion it functions as some restriction for them. In this article I proposed two possible approaches which can be used in solution of this “problem.” Firstly, it is better to create a special scale of human dignity based on special needs of the people with mental handicap, because the fact is these people have their different and special needs as healthy people. Second possible way of attribution of higher dignity to people with special needs is to make it possible for them to omit the number 2 (the level of moral subject) in the scale of human dignity and to allow them to gain the higher dignity based on the consequences of their acts. We should always realize that the people with mental handicap are of the same value as we are and it should be our “moral duty” to help them and respect them.

    Opis:
    This paper reports on a nationwide mixed methods study that investigated the challenges faced by teachers who teach ethics at schools in Poland. Several challenges affecting teachers in Poland were identified. These challenges included: qualifications of teachers; teacher education; didactics (teaching and learning); teaching materials and teaching aids; attractiveness of ethics as the subject at school; organization of work for delivering lessons of ethics; pupil traits and teaching programs; stereotypes related to the perception of ethics as the school subject. In the paper the special attention is paid to the challenges related to qualifications of teachers of ethics and their teacher education. The findings suggest that support provided for teachers of ethics must be aligned to local and school educational policies and educational conditions as well as strategies at national level. This paper contributes to understanding the complexities of the work of teachers who teach ethics at schools in Poland.
    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki ogólnopolskich badań z zastosowaniem podejścia ilościowego i jakościowego, w których poddano analizie wyzwania stojące przed nauczycielami uczącymi etyki w szkołach. Analiza wyników badań pozwoliła na identyfikację szeregu wyzwań, z którymi mierzą się nauczyciele etyki. Wyzwania te obejmowały: kwalifikacje nauczycieli; kształcenie nauczycieli; dydaktykę (nauczanie i uczenie się); materiały dydaktyczne i pomoce naukowe; atrakcyjność etyki jako przedmiotu w szkole; organizację pracy w celu realizacji lekcji etyki; cechy ucznia i programy nauczania; stereotypy związane z postrzeganiem etyki jako przedmiotu szkolnego. W artykule zwrócono szczególną uwagę na wyzwania związane z kwalifikacjami nauczycieli etyki i ich całożyciowej edukacji. Wyniki sugerują, że wsparcie nauczycieli etyki jest uzależnione od polityki edukacyjnej na poziomie kraju, regionu i szkoły oraz od warunków, jakie są tworzone nauczycielom etyki. Artykuł wnosi wkład w zrozumienie złożoności pracy nauczycieli, którzy uczą etyki w szkołach w Polsce.

    This paper considers teachers of ‘ethics’, which is a relatively new curriculum subject in school education in Poland. The paper focuses on the assessment of formal requirements for ethics teachers and on the evaluation of teacher education for teachers of ethics in Polish schools. The paper includes analysis of the perspectives of teachers of ethics concerning the future development of teacher education programs. The paper reports on a study of the place of ethics as a curriculum subject and on the practice of teaching ethics in schools in Poland.The study derives from a larger project completed between 2014-2016 and entitled ‘Ethics in the Systems of Education in Poland and Selected Western Countries (Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, France, USA, Norway, Finland)’. The project was implemented under the National Program for the Development of Humanities of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The project was conceived as a contribution to educational research and knowledge on the teaching of ethics in the school system and to the building of ethics as a school subject in the Polish school system.

    The article interprets the methodological potential of Hegel’s speculative dialectics as a possible course of spiritual evolution of the Absolute subject. The intention is towards the method, first through the very construction of the “idea of freedom” from the point of view of Logic; second, through the constitutive function of freedom and the transition of the subjective spirit into the objective spirit; third, through the unfolding of mediation in the realms of the objective spirit. This essentially substantial methodologization dissolves the theoretical space of the idea of the mediating function of freedom as an ontological principle of ethical life. In line with the paradigm of such a course, the text considers a project of speculative ethics, a project within the framework of which the methodological and ontological sublation of spiritual evolution takes place.

    Kryzys klasycznego humanizmu jest faktem. Ujawnił bowiem on swój ciemny rewers. Są nim niewolnictwo, kolonializm, wyzysk,  wykluczenia, dyskryminacje. Humanizm okazał się być dzieckiem patriarchalizmu, szowinizmu płciowego i gatunkowego. Trzeba go więc przezwyciężyć. Jedną z propozycji jest posthumanizm. Opiera się on na odmiennej metodzie badawczej (nazywam ją tu „zmysłem udziału”), odmiennej koncepcji podmiotu (nomada) i nowej etyce, której kształt dopiero powstaje. W artykule wskazuję na jej fundamenty w postaci kobiecej etyki troski, która – w moim przekonaniu - otwiera horyzonty na bardziej holistyczne, egalitarne, spluralizowane ludzko-pozaludzkie istnienie. 
    The crisis of classical humanism is a fact. It has revealed its dark reverse. They are slavery, colonialism, exploitation, exclusion, discrimination. Humanism turned out to be the offspring of patriarchalism, gender chauvinism and speciesism. Therefore, it has to be overcome. One of the proposals is posthumanism. It is based on a different research method (I call it the “sense of participation”), a different concept of the subject (nomad) and a new ethics, the shape of which is still emerging. In the article, I point to its foundations in the form of a female ethics of care, which – in my opinion – opens the horizons to a more holistic, egalitarian, pluralized human–non-human existence.
