Wstęp. Efekty kształcenia na studiach o profilu praktycznym przewidują przygotowanie studentów i absolwentów do wykonywania wszystkich standardowych czynności zawodowych. Równie ważnym elementem tego przygotowania jest świadomość ryzyka i zagrożeń własnego zdrowia osób, które ten zawód wykonują. Stanowi ona podstawę działań profilaktycznych służących ochronie zdrowia określonej grupy profesjonalistów. W kontekście najnowszych normalizacji prawnych zawodu oraz studiów fizjoterapii warto zwrócić uwagę na bezpieczeństwo pracy i ochronę zdrowia przedstawicieli tego zawodu medycznego. Materiał i metody. W niniejszym doniesieniu zaprezentowano sumaryczny wynik studenckiego projektu semestralnego w zakresie definiowania czynników ryzyka w zawodzie fizjoterapeuty. Studenci magisterskich studiów fizjoterapii (n=22) wykorzystali do tego zadania wzór pierwszej strony Karty Charakterystyk Zagrożeń Zawodowych, rekomendowanej przez właściwą agendę Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych. Wyniki. Analiza pojedynczych projektów studenckich wskazuje na wysoki poziom świadomości ryzyka zawodowego w takich obszarach jak: niektóre czynniki fizyczne w pracowni fizykoterapii, zagrożenie epidemiologiczne w bezpośrednim kontakcie z pacjentem oraz relacje międzyludzkie w zespołach terapeutycznych. Wnioski. Praktyczne studia fizjoterapii powinny w większym stopniu przygotowywać studentów do bezpiecznej pracy; wzmocnienia wymaga też przygotowanie do pracy w zespołach terapeutycznych.
Introduction. Learning outcomes in academic education with prophylactic profile envisage preparation of students and graduates for all standard professional activities. An equally important element of this preparation is the awareness of the risks and threats to the health of people who perform this profession. It is the basis of preventive measures protecting the health of a specific group of professionals. In the context of the latest legal normalization of the profession and course of studies in the field of physiotherapy, it is worth paying attention to the occupational safety and health protection of the representatives of this medical profession. Material and methods. This report presents the total result of a one-semester-long student project in the area of defining risk factors in the physiotherapists’ profession. Students of master’s physiotherapy courses (n=22) used the model of the first page of the Occupational Hazard Card for this task, recommended by the relevant United Nations agency. Results. Analysis of individual student projects indicates a high level of occupational risk awareness in such areas as: some physical factors in the physiotherapeutic surgery, epidemiological threat in direct contact with the patient and interpersonal relationships in therapeutic teams. Conclusions. Practical physiotherapy studies should prepare students for performing work safely to a greater extent; preparation for work in therapeutic teams should be enhanced as well.

The article describes a student capstone design project completed by a team of five students and implemented by a resort and casino in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). This project was completed within the framework of project-based learning (PBL). Students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge that they learned in the classroom in a real-world application. Students also had the opportunity to work as a team which was supervised by the faculty. The outcome of the project provided valuable experience in creating of grid, a reliable source of energy. The heat generated as a by-product was used for the purpose of heating hot water and a swimming pool as well as space heating for the hotel and casino during the winter. In the summertime the excessive amount of heat was used to dehumidify the air in the hotel and casino. Dehumidifying the air increased the level of comfort in the hotel and casino as well as in the enclosed swimming pools area. The article is focusing on the cost effectiveness of the off-grid heat-and-power solution. The net present value and internal rate of return as well as the payback time were calculated.

Opis:
Purpose: To propose a framework for choosing a project management approach for student research projects, taking into account the individual objectives of the advisor and the student, their personalities, the project type, and its environment. The proposed approach should increase the success rate of student research projects. Design/methodology/approach: Student research projects are characterized, and the relevant literature is reviewed. The theory concerning recent project management developments that could be potentially useful for student research projects is presented. A case study is analyzed. On the basis of the case study and the literature findings, a conceptual framework for the selection of a student research project management approach is proposed. Findings: It was found that student research projects, although apparently nonproblematic, need a conscious, individualized, situation-based selection of project management approach in order to assure a high success rate, according to the individual success understanding of project stakeholders. Research limitations/implications: The proposed framework is a conceptual one. It was developed on the basis of theory and under consideration of student research projects in one area and homogenous culture. Further research is needed to add new aspects to the approach, expand it to other research areas and cultures, and validate its usefulness in practice. Practical implications: Higher education institutions should promote project management knowledge among teachers and students, and conscious decision-making on the way student research projects will be performed. They should elaborate tailor-made frameworks for student research project management. Social implications: Student research projects, if managed improperly, may cause students and advisors dissatisfaction and stress. The approach we propose may, in the long term, increase the quality of life of students and advisors. Originality/value: The framework supporting the conscious selection of the way student research projects are managed, comprising recent developments in project management and taking into account the specific features and environment of each individual project, is an original contribution of the paper. It is addressed both to student project advisors and students themselves, as well as the managers of higher educational institutions.

The purpose of this article is to emphasize the importance of preserving a good collaboration relationship between employers and universities, and the major role that can be played by the European projects in strengthening this connection. The case study shows the way in which a university that is small, but very active as regards the accessing of projects and has the aim to provide a high quality educational service can improve the effectiveness of the educational activity.
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest podkreślenie znaczenia zachowania dobrych relacji współpracy pomiędzy pracodawcami a uczelniami wyższymi, a także istotnej roli, jaka może być odgrywana przez projekty europejskie we wzmacnianiu tego powiązania. Niniejsze studium przypadku pokazuje, w jaki sposób uczelnia, która jest mała, jednak bardzo aktywna, jeśli chodzi o dostęp do projektów, mająca za cel zapewnienie wysokiej jakości usług edukacyjnych, może poprawić efektywność działalności edukacyjnej.

Artykuł jest próbą ukazania teleinformatyki w aspekcie inicjatyw ministerialnych mających wpływ na proces nauczania, w którym wykorzystujemy przygotowanie projektowe. Jedną z najważniejszych kwestii dla nauczyciela w procesie nauczania jest podniesienie umiejętności i wiedzy wychowanków. Odpowiednio zaplanowany proces dydaktyczny oparty na metodach projektowych może znacząco poprawić wyniki uczniów na egzaminach zawodowych. Publikacja opisuje charakterystykę definicyjną teleinformatyki w nawiązaniu do inicjatyw Ministerstwa Edukacji Narodowej oraz Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego, następnie ukazuje przegląd projektów teleinformatycznych w nawiązaniu do procesu nauczania. Zostały również przedstawione szczegółowo dwa projekty naukowe jako modelowe przykłady zaawanso-wania teleinformatycznego uczniów. Zrozumienie odpowiedniego sposobu kreowania procesu dydaktycznego na podstawie ade-kwatnego wykorzystania projektów teleinformatycznych może mieć niebagatelny wpływ na przy-rost motywacji naukowej wśród uczniów.
This article attempts to disclose the ICT in the aspect of the ministerial initiatives influencing the process of teaching where project preparation is implemented. One of the most important things for teacher in the process of teaching is to enhance students’ skills and knowledge. The didactic process that is properly planned based on project methods can significantly improve students’ vocational examination results. This paper describes definition characteristics of the ICT in relation to the initiatives of Min-istry of National Education and Ministry of Science and Higher Education, it further presents a review of ICT projects in relation to the process of teaching. Two academic projects were also described in details as model samples of students’ ICT advancement. Understanding of the right way of creating the didactic process, based on adequate use of ICT projects, may have substantial impact on raising educational motivation among students.

The project method as a teaching method, which is based on activating teaching strategies, ensures holistic development of a child. It allows to select activities for children at different stages of development, stimulates thinking, teaches to put the newly acquired knowledge into practice and enables to learn through doing, which in particular raises the level of effectiveness of teaching children with mild intellectual disabilities. The joint teamwork of the whole class on the project helped them to enter the social life of the school, becoming a good plane of inclusion. However, according to the studies, the problem is the knowledge and awareness of possibility of applying this method by primary education teachers to support the school functioning of children with special educational needs including those with mild intellectual disabilities.

The use of web-enhanced through accelerated to teach and reinforce project management concepts based on specific learning objectives has been a positive experience for engineering students of SY 2015-2016 in the Qassim University of Buraidah City. This study describes the rapid development of a web enhanced project management course (GE 402) as a teaching with technology alternative to the traditional approach. The main theme of the study is to give a basic introduction to the design, implementation, and usage of web enhanced in teaching undergraduate project management course with adequate hands on experience in Primavera Planning and MS Project. This study aims to (i) compare the effectiveness of the web enhanced learning from a traditional learning; (ii) identify the management skills used by the engineers in the construction industries; (iii) the evaluations on learning by the engineering students of SY 2014-2015 & SY 2015-2016 (iv) the mean responses of the engineering students of SY 2014-2015 on the level of confidence of project management skills gained from traditional format learning; (v) the mean responses of the engineering students of SY 2015-2016 on the level of confidence of project management skills gained from the web enhanced format learning.

The purpose of this article is to present the workflow of the group translation of the Spanish play “Siglo mío, bestia mía” performed by a Student Organisation of Literary Translation based in the Institute of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw, as well as the educational outcomes of the endeavour. Moreover, the paper aims at highlighting the need of including group projects, which would simulate the environment of a translation office, in the curriculums of translation training university courses. The paper discusses the definitions of a project and the most common approaches to teaching translation. Later, it combines those two aspects and determines the importance of project-based learning in the field of translation, which is shown by the example of the translation of “Siglo mío, bestia mía”. The article introduces the author of the play and presents a brief summary of the text. Afterwards, the workflow of the group is presented in detail, explaining the roles of particular participants, the challenges they faced, and the outcomes of such a form of translation. In the conclusion, the article emphasises the necessity of including project-based translation activities in the curriculums of translation training university courses.
In diesem Artikel werden der Verlauf der Gruppenübersetzung des spanischen Theaterstücks „Siglo mío, bestia mía“, die von einer studentischen Organisation für literarische Übersetzung am Institut für Angewandte Linguistik der Universität Warschau durchgeführt wurde, sowie die pädagogischen Ergebnisse des Projekts dargestellt. Darüber hinaus soll der Artikel die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Notwendigkeit lenken, Gruppenprojekte, die das Umfeld eines Übersetzungsbüros simulieren, in universitäre Übersetzungsstudiengänge aufzunehmen. In dem Artikel werden die Definitionen eines Projekts und die gängigsten Ansätze für den Übersetzungsunterricht erörtert. Anschließend werden diese beiden Aspekte miteinander verknüpft und die Bedeutung des projektbasierten Lernens im Bereich der Übersetzung am Beispiel der Übersetzung von „Siglo mío, bestia mía“ aufgezeigt. Hier wird der Autor des Stücks vorgestellt und eine kurze Zusammenfassung des Textes gegeben. Anschließend wird der Arbeitsablauf der Gruppe detailliert dargestellt, wobei die Rollen der einzelnen Teilnehmer, die Herausforderungen, mit denen sie konfrontiert waren, und die Auswirkungen einer solchen Form der Übersetzung erläutert werden. In der Schlussfolgerung betont der Artikel die Notwendigkeit, projektbasierte Übersetzungsaktivitäten in die Lehrpläne von Übersetzungsstudiengängen aufzunehmen.

This study aims to describe the conceptual model of digital-based living values activities project learning, students’ perceptions of implementing this model, and the reinforcement of students’ Pancasila character. The research utilised a mixed methods approach on students and teachers at junior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The findings reveal that the digital-based living values activities project learning model integrates project-based learning, living values education and digital learning. Students perceived the implementation of this model quite positively, and the reinforcement of students’ Pancasila character was categorised as good. This model can be used to strengthen students’ character.

The article considers the issue of virtual international academic mobility as one of the priority areas of international activities of higher education institutions. It is substantiated that the intensive development of information and communication technologies (knowledge mobility) and informatisation of public life led to the spread and use of virtual educational environments and e-learning in higher education, which became the basis for the development of virtual academic mobility of students. The purpose of the study is to study the existing approaches and practices of academic mobility, including virtual, to determine the main benefits and opportunities for disseminating this experience at all levels of higher education in Ukraine. The research methodology consists of general theoretical and empirical research methods. A review of modern scientific literature, periodicals, and scientific and methodological sources on the problem of academic mobility and the digitalisation of higher education is made. Their analysis, structuring, interpretation and construction of logical conclusions are highlighted. The article considers the content of the main scientific approaches to the definition of “academic mobility”. The characteristic of academic mobility in the conditions of digitalisation of higher education is given. Varieties of academic mobility in modern conditions of digitalisation of higher education (physical, virtual, mixed) are considered. The subjects of virtual academic mobility (virtual student, virtual teacher, virtual university, virtual campus) are outlined. The main advantages and disadvantages of such virtual academic mobility of students are identified. The main methodological recommendations of European funds and associations are analysed, based on which the project preparation plan for any virtual mobility type is developed. It is proposed to carry out additional measures that ensure the quantitative growth of academic (virtual) mobility and improve its quality. The necessity of searching for new forms of remote exchanges, analysis of the experience of foreign associations and their adaptation according to the realities of the system of higher education in Ukraine is substantiated: the active involvement of the student’s audience in programmes of virtual cooperation; increasing the necessary competencies of the administrative and teaching staff of higher education institutions, which allow implementing such virtual projects using innovative information technology tools; preparation of the regulatory framework that enshrines the right to implement virtual academic mobility along with the full-time form and recognition of its results by recalculating educational loans.

Projects and grants are unique for development of science and research. For many people it is only source of money for their research. Particularly on universities the projects expanded. From this reason the participation of Ph.D. students in the Student Grant Competition is the best start in this field. Paper discusses in its first part how the Student Grant Competition takes its place on Technical University of Ostrava. Focuses on difficulties with submission of the application, explain process of whole project evaluation and states total amounts acquired from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for Student Grand Competitions since 2010. Second part of this paper directly shows concrete project for “Research of utilization of mining waste in chosen localities.” In the paper is described subject of the research, concrete goals of project, timetable. It is stated the preliminary budget of project and actual progress in the project.
Projekty i granty mają spore znaczenie dla rozwoju nauki i badań. Dla wielu ludzi stanowią one jedyne źródło środków finansowych na ich badania. W szczególności na uniwersytetach obserwuje się ich dynamiczny przyrost. Z tego powodu udział doktorantów konkursach grantowych stanowi dobry początek w tym zakresie. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono dyskusję sposobu, w jaki konkurs grantowy przebiega w Uniwersytecie Technicznym w Ostrawie. Autorka koncentruje swoją uwagę na trudnościach w złożeniu aplikacji, wyjaśnia proces ewaluacji projektu oraz przedstawia zbiorcze dane pozyskane z Ministerstwa Edukacji, Młodzieży i Sportu dla konkursów grantowych od 2010 roku. Druga część artykułu przedstawia przykład wybranego projektu pt. „Badanie nad wykorzystaniem odpadów pogórniczych w wybranych lokalizacjach”. W artykule przedstawiono przedmiot badań, cele projektu, harmonogram oraz rzeczywisty postęp w jego realizacji.

W artykule autorka omawia zagadnienie przekładu intersemiotycznego w akademickiej edukacji polonistycznej. Jest to problematyka istotna zarówno z teoretycznego, jak i praktycznego punktu widzenia, ponieważ wiedza o nowatorskich metodach i różnych sztukach interpretacji tekstów literackich jest niezwykle ważnym zagadnieniem obecnym zarówno w edukacji polonistycznej w szkole, jak i w nauczaniu akademickim, zwłaszcza wśród studentów kierunków pedagogicznych. W artykule opisano realizację projektu przeprowadzonego na zajęciach akademickich z przedmiotu: podstawy i metodyka edukacji polonistycznej w klasach I–III wśród studentów kierunków pedagogicznych – przyszłych nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. W pierwszej części opracowania zaprezentowano opisywaną metodę w ujęciu różnych teoretyków i badaczy literatury. W drugiej z kolei przedstawione zostały różne formy pracy z tekstem literackim, realizowane metodą przekładu intersemiotycznego przez studentów edukacji wczesnoszkolnej w ramach zajęć akademickich. Zadbano o to, by opracowany projekt uwzględniał realizację programu akademickiego, a jednocześnie rozwijał kreatywność u przyszłych nauczycieli edukacji wczesno-szkolnej. Wprowadzone na zajęciach różnorodne formy ćwiczeń wykorzystujące metodę przekładu intersemiotycznego dowiodły, jak bardzo przyszli pedagodzy potrzebują nowych inspiracji, by nie utknąć w schematach i rutynie, które mogą negatywnie oddziaływać na proces kształcenia. Opisane formy metody przekładu intersemiotycznego mogą się stać strategią postępowania dydaktycznego sprzyjającą rozwijaniu kreatywności, wyobraźni i wrażliwości oraz zachęcającą przyszłych nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej do podejmowania rozmaitych przejawów aktywności, które będą uatrakcyjniały lekcję.
The article discusses the issue of intersemiotic translation in Polish language education at the university level. It is an important issue both from the theoretical and practical point of view, because the knowledge of innovative methods and different ways of interpreting literary texts is an extremely important problem, present in Polish language education at school and university, especially among students of pedagogical faculties. The article describes the implementation of the project carried out during university classes in the basics and methodology of Polish language education in classes I–III, addressed to students of pedagogical faculties – future early school education teachers. The first part of the study presents the described method in terms of various theoreticians and researchers of literature. The second part of the study presents various forms of work with literary texts, carried out with the method of intersemiotic translation by students of early school education as part of university classes. The project took into account the realization of the academic program and at the same time developed the creativity of future teachers of early school education. Various forms of exercises using the intersemiotic translation method introduced during the classes proved how much future teachers need new inspirations in order not to get stuck in schemes and routines that may have a negative impact on the educational process. The described forms of the intersemiotic translation method may become a strategy of didactic conduct that fosters creativity, imagination and sensitivity and encourages future teachers of early school education to take up various forms of activity that will make their lessons more attractive.

Opis:
The contribution describes the circumstances of the implementation of a chemistry project with the main theme “Chemical show - Harry Potter”. Project-based learning belongs between the complex teaching methods, where the desired effect can be influenced by many factors, eg student’s attitude, student’s overall opinion and feelings about the method. The motivation of the researchers was to understand and evaluate the factors present in the realised project. The analysed factors and behavioural schemes can provide a good starting point for the teachers at planning their projects. With the aim to understand the students’ reaction the researchers used Q-methodology to identify the different behavioural groups of participating students based on their real opinion. In the presented research the researchers analyse the response of totally 26 students. As a result totally 6 behavioural examples are presented that teachers can meet during implementation of project based learning. The presented categorization collaborates with other formerly publicised types of student’s behaviour, eg students of “pleasant surprises” and “disappointing surprises”. However, other additional types of behavioural types emerged eg students orienting and concentrating on the theoretical knowledge, students with very strong need for leading and students with the need of several assessment systems. The presented results can provide a wider view for the teachers in preparing and forecasting the flow of their projects and can help them to prepare the project.
Opisano realizację projektu z chemii, którego głównym tematem były „Chemiczne pokazy - Harry Potter”. Uczenie się oparte na projekcie należy do skomplikowanych metod nauczania, gdzie na pożądany efekt może mieć wpływ wiele czynników, np. postawy studentów, ogólna opinia studentów i odczucia dotyczące metody. Celem badaczy było zrozumienie i ocena czynników występujących w realizowanym projekcie. Analizowane czynniki i schematy zachowań mogą stanowić dobry punkt wyjścia dla nauczycieli w planowaniu projektów. W celu zrozumienia reakcji studentów badacze wykorzystali Q-metodologię identyfikacji różnych grup behawioralnych uczestników na podstawie ich prawdziwych opinii. W prezentowanych badaniach naukowcy analizują odpowiedzi 26 studentów. W rezultacie zaobserwowano 6 przykładów zachowań, z którymi nauczyciele mogą spotkać się w trakcie realizacji nauczania opartego na projekcie. Przedstawiona klasyfikacja jest zgodna z innymi, wcześniej opisanymi rodzajami zachowań studentów, np. postawy „przyjemnych niespodzianek” i „rozczarowujących niespodzianek”. Jednak pojawiły się inne, dodatkowe rodzaje typów zachowań, np. studenci zorientowani i koncentrujący się na wiedzy teoretycznej, studenci z bardzo silną potrzebą przywództwa i studenci potrzebujący kilku systemów oceny. Przedstawione wyniki mogą zapewnić nauczycielom szerszy pogląd na przygotowywanie i przewidywanie przebiegu planowanych projektów.
