    Opis:
    (1) The non-commutative Galois theory of languages is presented and the universal language of natural languages is constructed. (2) The Galois theory for natural languages is given. (3) The Galois theory for the formal language theory is given. (4) Finally, we find intimate connections between language and physics and discuss the anthropological problem in physics from the point of view of our language theory. (5) In Appendix we give a virtual language defined by Fibonacci and Tribonacci sequences

    Opis:
    Various aspects of binary, ternary, quaternary, quinary, and senary structures for alloys, polymers and, in particular, proteins are studied. We refer to quinary and senary structures in some polymers indicating the role of total energy maxima in the infrared and Raman activity energy spectra. Decomposition of quinary structures to ternary structures is discussed. A complex analytical method of binary and ternary Galois extension is proposed as well as its realization in terms of Riemann surfaces. Slightly wavy behaviour of the system of hexagons in a polymer leaf is investigated
    Rozważamy rozmaite aspekty struktur binarnych, ternarnych, kwaternarnych i senarnych dla stopów, polimerów i protein. W szczególności odnosimy się do struktur kwinarnych i senarnych w niektórych polimerach wskazując na rolę maksimów energii w spektrach podczerwieni i aktywności Ramana. Dyskutujemy rozkład struktur kwinarnych do ternarnych. Proponujemy zespoloną metodę analityczną dla binarnych i ternarnych rozszerzeń Galois, jak również ich realizację na powierzchniach Riemanna. Omawiamy lekko falujące zachowanie układu sześciokątów w liściu polimeru

    Opis:
    Przedstawiono alternatywne spojrzenie na kompozycję przestrzeni architektonicznej. Przeciwstawiono strukturę fizyczną (konstrukcję budynku, obrazowaną rysunkami dokumentacji budowlanej) strukturze funkcjonalnej (użytkowaniu, obrazowanemu grafami). Grafy dualne rzutów kondygnacji są wyabstrahowanym zapisem struktury funkcji, a także informacją o strukturze przestrzeni architektonicznej (March & Steadman 1974). Badaniu poddano rzuty obiektów typu: wolnostojący dom mieszkalny, który zajmuje znaczącą pozycję w twórczości Józefa Gałęzowskiego (1877–1963), prominentnego przedstawiciela krakowskiej architektury. Gałęzowski zaprojektował 40 takich obiektów, z czego ponad 20 zostało zrealizowanych. W artykule wybrane z nich poddano analizie.
    The article presents an alternative approach to the composition of architectural space. Physical structure (building’s construction depicted by conventional drawings) has been contrasted with its functional structure (usage depicted by graphs). Dual graphs of the floor plans serve to abstract the functional structure of a house (March & Steadman 1974). Manors and other detached houses are an important position in the work of Józef Gałęzowski (1866–1963), a prominent representative of the Cracow school of architecture. Gałęzowski designed 40 such buildings, 20 of which were built. Floor plans of chosen houses designed by him are analysed in this paper.

    Opis:
    Microwaves are high frequency radio waves which are capable of penetrating many materials and causing heat to be generated in the process. To investigate the effect of microwave irradiation on the physical properties as well as the chemical , surface morphological and fine structure of silk fabric, silk fabric was treated with microwave irradiation under a variety of conditions in terms of the power and time of microwave treatment. The breaking strength, elongation at break, and whiteness of the treated silk fabric in a wet state were investigated. The structures of the untreated and treated silk were investigated with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that the physical properties of the treated silk fabrics were changed with the microwave irradiation time. The chemical and surface morphological structure as well as the decomposition temperatureand crystallinity of the treated silk were changed.
    Mikrofale to fale radiowe o wysokiej częstotliwości, zdolne do przenikania przez wiele materiałów i generowania ciepła w procesie. W celu zbadania wpływu promieniowania mikrofalowego na właściwości fizyczne, chemiczne, morfologię i strukturę tkaniny jedwabnej poddano ją promieniowaniu mikrofalowemu w różnych warunkach, pod względem mocy i czasu obróbki mikrofalami. Badano wytrzymałość na rozerwanie, wydłużenie przy zerwaniu i stopień bieli tkaniny jedwabnej poddanej obróbce mikrofalami w stanie mokrym. Struktury nietraktowanego i poddanego obróbce jedwabiu zbadano za pomocą spektroskopii w podczerwieni z transformatą Fouriera (FTIR), skaningowej mikroskopii elektronowej (SEM), różnicowej kalorymetrii skaningowej (DSC) i dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej (XRD). Wyniki pokazały, że właściwości fizyczne poddanych obróbce tkanin jedwabnych ulegały zmianie wraz z czasem naświetlania mikrofalami. Zmianie uległa chemiczna i powierzchniowa struktura, a także temperatura rozkładu i krystaliczność poddanego obróbce jedwabiu.

    Introduction: Lack of physical activity has become a tremendous health problem in young people, notably in the digital communication era. Due to burdensome academic tasks, the situation may be more rigorous for medical students. The family structure is supposed to influence children’s physical activity patterns. Aim of the study: This study aimed to investigate the effect of family structure on physical activity levels in medical students. Methods: This cross-sectional study was followed by 109 students; 75 (68.8%) were female. Gender, family structure, parents’ level of physical activity, number of families, and the presence of grandparents were included as independent variables. In contrast, students’ level of physical activity was a dependent variable. Data on independent variables were obtained through a guided interview. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was applied to assess students’ level of physical activity. Variables were dichotomously categorized to simplify statistical testing. Chi-square was applied to reveal the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. A p-value of less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results: 39 (35.8%) students had low IPAQ score, 47 (43.1%) moderate, and 23 (21.1%) high. Most students (61.4%) lived in a nuclear family. There were 55 students (50.5%) who lived with family members less than 5; only 31 (28.4%) reported the presence of grandparents in their homes. Most students’ parents reported doing sufficient regular exercise (73.1%). Students’ IPAQ score was associated with the family type (OR 3.56, 95% CI 1.53–8.20, p = 0.002) and the presence of grandparents (OR 3.76, 95% CI 1.57–9.00, p = 0.002). Conclusion: Medical students who lived in a nuclear family and lived without their grandparents had higher physical activity levels.
