- In this paper a problem of heat conduction in the laminate is investigated. The laminate is made of two conductors, non-periodically distributed as micro laminas along one direction. A macrostructure of such laminate is assumed to be functionally graded along this direction. In order to analyse the heat conduction, two modelling methods are applied: the tolerance averaging technique and the finite element method. The first approach is based on the book edited by Cz. Woźniak, Michalak and Jędrysiak [6], the second one is used in the numerical system ABAQUS. The results of applying both methods are compared for two different cases of the distribution of the conductors.
