The article presents selected issues concerning the assessment of the rolling stock conformity to Commission Regulation No 1300/2014, inter alia in the scope of imprecise or incorrect translation of the requirements, possibility of using the „old” interoperability constituents in the vehicle construction and the possibility of using restrictions and conditions in the EC certificate of conformity.

Opis:: The importance of reputation in achieving a competitive advantage and creating a company’s value is noticed by both theorists and practitioners of management. However, the relationship between the level of corporate reputation and a company’s investment characteristics, which determine their investment attractiveness, still has not been systematically and comprehensively verified. The variety of previously used methods for assessing and measuring corporate reputation means that the results are not quite reliable and cannot be used for intra-sectoral, cross-sectoral and over time comparisons and makes it difficult — or even impossible — to examine the relevant relationship between reputation and market value or the investment risk of different entities. Therefore, the main purpose of the paper is to attempt to determine the relationship between the assessment of companies by the capital market — based on price multipliers — and their reputation, obtained using an original method, based on information reported by companies and the methodology of fuzzy sets. The research is preliminary in nature and was performed on the Polish banking companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in the period of 2007-2018.

Opis:: Rolling stock planning is one of the steps in the traffic planning process considered from the railway undertaking's point of view. It is directly related to the efficiency of rolling stock utilisation, which should be ensured at the highest possible level in the case of rail transport. The planning work stage is subject to certain risks (threats and opportunities), which, if they materialise, will impact it. It, therefore, makes sense to carry out analyses that can anticipate specific events in good time and introduce appropriate countermeasures in advance. This article aims to conduct a risk assessment process concerning rolling stock planning. It was assumed that the considerations were carried out based on the M_o_R (Management of Risk) methodology. Based on this methodology, risk identification and risk analysis (estimation of risk impact) were carried out. Risk assessment was carried out using the Monte Carlo simulation method. The work identified sixteen risks that represent threats. The principle of risk description was used to identify risks. It requires indicating for each risk the reason for its occurrence and the effect it may have. As a part of risk estimation, variables were selected to assess each risk's impact on the objectives of the stage. Publicly available statistical data were used to define the variables. The variables were expressed in monetary units. The work identified five variables describing impact, which were assigned to the individual risks. As a triangular probability distribution was used for the variability of impact description, the variable's minimum, most likely, and maximum value was identified. A risk assessment was carried out for only two impact description variables (for those variables used to describe the impact of the most significant number of risks). For each variable, statistical parameters were indicated and analysed. The resulting value of the variable describing the impact was then read out for each percentile, and the expected value of the risk was calculated. A detailed risk assessment was made for the lower, middle and upper quartiles. A histogram of the incidence of each variable value was presented, and an assessment was made.

Opis:: The article includes a literature outline of the scientific field of management sciences concerning issues of security management an organization. The article focuses on identifying literature in this area and describing the process in terms of the essence of management in the organization. The authors who were pioneers of the subject were indicated and the author also pointed to the important roles of the approach to information security management in the process of building and organizational development of the enterprise. At the end of the article, the author discusses opinions of other authors in the selection of the optimal strategy for managing security in an enterprise and shows how it financially a effects the company and its intangible market value.
Artykuł zawiera zarys literatury naukowej z zakresu nauk o zarządzaniu dotyczący zagadnień zarządzania procesem bezpieczeństwa informacji w organizacji. Artykuł koncentruje się na identyfikacji literatury w tym obszarze i opisaniu tego procesu pod względem istoty zarządzania w organizacji. Wskazano autorów z całego świata, którzy są pionierami zarządzania procesem bezpieczeństwa jako unikalnego tematu rozwoju organizacji. Autor wskazał nowe trendy podejścia do zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacji w procesie budowania i rozwoju modelu biznesu przedsiębiorstwa. Na końcu artykułu autor, opierając się na literaturze, dokonuje wyboru optymalnej strategii zarządzania bezpieczeństwem w przedsiębiorstwie. Autor pokazuje, w jaki sposób bezpieczeństwo zarządzania wpływa finansowo na organizację i jej wartość rynkową.
