Opis:: On the basis of legal, environmental, social, and economic factors, reverse logistics and closed-loop supply chain issues have attracted attention among both academia and practitioners. A growing number of publications is an expression of reverse logistics trend in the literature which has been lasted for around 40 years. Hence, a comprehensive literature review of recent and state-of-the-art papers is vessential to draw a framework of the past, and to support researchers in their works by indicating journals or adequate references. The aim of this paper was to prepare appropriate literature review procedure and following it to review all papers whose main topis was reverse logistics. The papers were analyzed and categorized to construct a useful foundation of past research with respect to the scale of number of research on reverse logistics, considering stages of reverse logistics development, targeted journals, main research centres and leading countries. Moreover there were reccommended the most valuable papers as references.

Opis:: This report describes the state of the art inlanding gear design with a particular focus on shock absorbes. It gives an overview on the general design solutions and installation of landing gears into the airframe. An emphasis is placed on the function and calculation of loads acting on oleopneumatic shock absorbers, which are the main type of shock absorber considered within ADLAND. One part of this dokument covers the requirements which are the basis of the shock absorber design, materials used and related future developments within aerospace industry. A brief summary is given on research performed on active shock absorber so far.
Opracowanie przedstawia zagadnienia związane z konstrukcjami podwozi lotniczych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem problematyki amortyzatorów cieczowo-gazowych. Podano ogólne wskazówki dotyczące rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych różnych rodzajów amortyzatorów i ich adaptacji do pozostałej struktury samolotu. Szczególny nacisk położono na analizę obciążeń generowanych w amortyzatorach cieczowo-gazowych, które aktualnie są przedmiotem szczegółowych badań w ramach programu UE ADLAND. W opracowaniu opisano także wymagania stawiane obecnie nowo projektowanym konstrukcjom amortyzatorów lotniczych, a także wymieniono materiały z których są one wykonane. Przedstawiono zakres dotychczas zrealizowanych badań w obszarze podwozi adaptacyjnych oraz kierunki dalszego rozwoju i zastosowań amortyzatorów w lotnictwie.

Opis:: One of the most relevant problems related to most of the objective full-reference image and video quality assessment methods is their correlation with subjective perception of various types of distortions. Since the relation between the subjective scores, typically expressed as Mean Opinion Scores (MOS) or Differential MOS, and most of the metrics is nonlinear, various mapping functions are used in order to linearize this relation e.g. logistic function recommended by the Video Quality Experts Group (VQEG). Such compensation can also be conducted using some other function e.g. polynomial or exponential ones. Nevertheless, the results obtained for each of available datasets differ and such approach cannot be considered as universal. One of possible solutions, proposed in some earlier papers, is the use of combined metrics, which have significantly higher linear correlation with MOS or DMOS values without the necessity of nonlinear mapping. The comparative analysis of the optimisation results for some “state-of-the-art” metrics and proposed combined ones is also provided in the paper.

Opis:: Background: Over the last few years, the Industry 4.0 concept has attracted attention among both academics and practitioners. Industry 4.0 is a very broad domain including production processes, efficiency, data management, relationship with consumers, competitiveness, and much more. Therefore, the aim of the paper was to analyze the main contributions published on the topic of Industry 4.0. Methods: The literature review method was used to verify current knowledge on the Industry 4.0 topic, with the use of developed methods for literature review research dedicated to it. Results: On the basis of the literature review procedure, answers to the research questions were obtained: RQ1: Is the "Industry 4.0" topic still relevant for researchers? RQ2: Does the national policy on Industry 4.0 influence the research interest in Industry 4.0? RQ3: What are the key components of Industry 4.0? RQ4: What are the implications of Industry 4.0 for other research topics? Conclusions: This paper contributes theoretically to the development of the literature on Industry 4.0. Results obtained from the research not only summarise the current research activities but also indicate existing potential research directions. The findings of this review can be used as the basis for future research on Industry 4.0 and related topics, as well as a guideline for making a literature review.
Wstęp: W ciągu ostatnich lat, koncepcja Przemysłu 4.0 przyciąga uwagę zarówno przedstawicieli nauki jak i przemysłu. Przemysł 4.0 dotyczy procesów produkcji, wydajności, zarządzania danymi czy relacjami z klientami, kwestiami związanymi z konkurencyjnością oraz wiele innych zagadnień. Metody: W pracy wykorzystano metodę analizy literatury celem weryfikacji aktualnego stanu wiedzy w zakresie koncepcji Przemysłu 4.0. W tym celu wykorzystano dedykowaną procedurę przeprowadzania badań literatury. Wyniki: Na podstawie opracowanej procedury przeprowadzania studiów literatury, uzyskano odpowiedzi na wskazane pytania badawcze tj.: PB1:Czy pojęcie Przemysł 4.0 jest wciąż istotne dla badaczy? PB2: Czy programy prowadzone na szczeblu krajowym wpływają na zainteresowanie badaczy w zakresie Przemysłu 4.0? PB3: Jakie są kluczowe komponenty Przemysłu 4.0? PB4: Jakie Przemysł 4.0 wywołuje implikacje na inne tematy badawcze? Wnioski: Zaprezentowany artykuł wnosi wkład w rozwój literatury nad koncepcją Przemysłu 4.0. Wyniki uzyskane z przeprowadzonej analizy literatury nie tylko stanowią podsumowanie dotychczasowej wiedzy na temat koncepcji Przemysłu 4.0, lecz również wskazują kierunki potencjalnych badań. Rezultaty z przeprowadzonych studiów literatury mogą zostać wykorzystane jako wskazówki do przeprowadzenia dalszych badań nad koncepcją Przemysłu 4.0 oraz tematów z nią związanych, jak również służyć mogą jako wytyczne do przeprowadzenia badań literatury w wskazanym obszarze.

Opis:: Background: Contemporary, logistics is regarded as a key factor in business success, which results in the emergence of the Logistics maturity concept. In the current literature, there is still lack of efforts to systematically review the state of the art of logistics maturation. Therefore, the aim of the paper was to address this gap by investigating the academic signs of progress in logistics maturity of service companies according to a developed literature review procedure. Methods: The literature review method was used to verify current knowledge on the logistics maturity model, with the use of the developed method for literature review research. Results: The literature review procedure was developed and used to analyze and categorize papers within the logistics maturity topic for identification of the logistics maturity, existing models, their structure and areas of maturity assessment. This study presents the research gap in logistics maturity models for the service industry. Conclusions: Expected results of the research will contribute to the systematization of knowledge on the logistics processes realization in the service industry, so it will affect the state of theoretical knowledge of economics, management, and logistics. Findings of this review may be used as the basis for logistics maturity model development as well as a guideline for making a literature review
Wstęp: Współcześnie logistyka uznawana jest za kluczowy czynnik sukcesu, co skutkuje istotnością zagadnienia dojrzałości logistycznej. Współcześnie, w literaturze wciąż brak jest systematycznego przeglądu literatury, podsumowującego stan wiedzy w zakresie dojrzałości logistycznej. Biorąc powyższe pod uwagę, za główny cel artykuły przyjęto wypełnić zidentyfikowaną lukę poprzez weryfikowanie aktualnego stanu wiedzy w zakresie rozwoju dojrzałości logistycznej przedsiębiorstw usługowych, wykorzystując przygotowaną procedurę do analizy literatury. Metody: W pracy wykorzystano metodę analizy literatury celem weryfikacji aktualnego poziomu wiedzy na temat modelu dojrzałości logistycznej przedsiębiorstw usługowych, wykorzystując w tym celu opracowaną procedurę przeglądu literatury. Wyniki: Opracowano procedurę dokonywania przeglądu literatury, która została wykorzystana do analizy oraz klasyfikacji zidentyfikowanych w literaturze opracowań podejmujących tematykę dojrzałości logistycznej celem identyfikacji dojrzałości logistycznej, istniejących modeli, ich struktury oraz obszarów dokonywania oceny. W rezultacie ukazano lukę badawczą dotyczącą modeli dojrzałości logistycznej przedsiębiorstw usługowych. Wnioski: Oczekiwane wyniki badań przyczynią się do usystematyzowania wiedzy na temat realizacji procesów logistycznych w sektorze usług, co będzie oddziaływało na poziom wiedzy teoretycznej na temat ekonomii, zarządzania i logistyki. Rezultaty przeprowadzonych badań mogą zostać wykorzystane jako podstawa do opracowania podstaw modelu dojrzałości logistycznej, lecz również jako przewodnik w prowadzeniu badań nad aktualnym stanem literatury w danym zakresie.

Opis:: The existing theoretical tyre models are not perfect; on the other hand, tyres have a significant impact on the safety of vehicle traffic. Therefore, the problem of measurements of tyre deformation when interacting with road surface still must be dealt with. The review of the state of the art in the field of transducers and tyre deformation measurement methods, presented in this article, shows the abundance and diversity of the solutions having been made available so far. Nevertheless, it has been shown, based on the systematic classification adopted, that transducers representing each of the classification groups are characterized by separate properties, which in many cases are hardly compatible with each other. The lack of a transducer that would be free from drawbacks induces attempts to aggregate selected positive features of the solutions that are known in the present state of the art and can be taken as a basis for developing an innovative deformation transducer of new generation. Such a transducer will be presented in the next article.
Niedoskonałość modeli teoretycznych ogumienia i istotny wpływ opon na bezpieczeństwo ruchu pojazdów sprawiają, iż problem pomiaru deformacji ogumienia w interakcji z nawierzchnią jest aktualny. Przedstawiony w niniejszym artykule przegląd stanu techniki w dziedzinie przetworników i metod pomiaru deformacji wskazuje na bogactwo i różnorodność dostępnych rozwiązań. Mimo to, na podstawie przyjętej systematyki podziału wykazano, iż przetworniki każdej z grup charakteryzują odrębne, niejednokrotnie trudne do pogodzenia właściwości. Brak przetwornika pozbawionego niedogodności skłania do podjęcia próby agregacji wybranych korzystnych cech rozwiązań znanych ze stanu techniki stanowiących bazę do opracowania innowacyjnego przetwornika deformacji nowej generacji, który zostanie zaprezentowany w następnym artykule.

Autorzy przeglądowo omawiają osiągnięcia w różnych dziedzinach – stratygrafii, sedymentologii, geochemii, mineralogii, tektoniki, hydrogeologii i badań geofizycznych utworów solnych oraz przedstawiają obecny stan udokumentowanych i szacunkowych zasobów soli w Polsce. Analizują także różne formy zagospodarowania wystąpień soli (produkcja soli kruszonej i solanki, magazyny mediów i składowiska odpadów) oraz posteksploatacyjnego funkcjonowania kopalń, wskazują istotne ich zdaniem kierunki, w których winny być prowadzone dalsze badania.
This article provides an overview on the current state of knowledge on salt geology in Poland. Salt occurs in Poland in two salt- bearing formations: Zechstein (Permian) and Miocene (Neogene). The review briefly presents information on the various aspects of salt mining as well as description of results of different research topics discussed by scientists since the beginning of the 21st century: stratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemistry, mineralogy, geophysics, tectonics, hydrogeology as well as reserves and resources of salt deposits. Various forms of management of salt occurrences (crushed salt and brine production, storages of media, and waste disposals) and the post-mining activity of salt mines are commented. This review is based on extensive literature and proposes main directions of future studies in salt geology of Poland.

Opis:: Purpose: The paper's goal is to summarize thirty years of controlling research in the Wroclaw academic community. Methodology/approach: In the paper, content analysis and textual analysis of controlling-related publications of researchers from Wroclaw are performed. The publications are analyzed in the dimensions of time, publication type, and scope. Findings: The study identifies four hundred and forty-nine publications on controlling. It recognizes six main research areas: general controlling problems, controlling tools, domain-specific controlling, informational support of controlling, controlling organization, and “soft” aspects. In the paper, the research areas with large research potential are identified: “soft” aspects of controlling, relations between controlling and corporate social responsibility, controlling in branches where it has not been applied before, information-related issues of controlling in the content of abundance of information, and using discoveries of modern sciences, such as neuroscience, in controlling research. Value: the paper contains the first in-depth and holistic analysis of publications of Wroclaw researchers concerning controlling.

Opis:: Differential Evolution (DE) is a popular and efficient continuous optimization technique based on the principles of Darwinian evolution. Asynchronous Differential Evolution is a DE generalization that allows to regulate the synchronization mechanism of the algorithm by tuning two additional parameters. This paper, after providing a further experimental analysis of the impact of the DE synchronization scheme on the evolution, introduces three self-adaptive techniques to handle the synchronization parameters. Moreover the integration of these new regulatory synchronization techniques into state-of-the-art (self) adaptive DE schemes are also proposed. Experiments on widely accepted benchmark problems show that the new schemes are able to improve performances of the state-of-theart (self) adaptive DEs by introducing the new synchronization parameters in the online automated tuning process.

Opis:: A common interpreting perception of Machiavelli’s thought is based on the paradox that state feasibility uses not only knowledge but also any form of immoral act in order to preserve power. Against this position that draws its origin in Meinecke, this paper aims to study the ways that the notion of liberty is interpreted by Machiavelli as well as the impact of this contribution to contemporary policy making. Furthermore, through this study, the diversification between the real Machiavellian contribution to modern thinking and Machiavellianism, will be thoroughly analyzed. The main research question of the paper is to test if the new arte dello stato (art of the state), in contrast with the notion of Machiavellianism, is based on the new form of rationality which has its roots in naturalism and history, as a precondition for the ruler’s unobstructed action. The methods used include main literature review on Machiavelli as well as content analysis of Machiavelli's treatise The Prince in order to address the research hypothesis that Machiavelli is based on rationality, naturalism and history in order to create a framework of stability, continuity, liberty and prosperity of the people. The main conclusion of the paper is that Machiavelli’s The Prince seems to posit a notion of the state operating around the ruler against fortune within a political regime of homogenization, in which the ruler represents the pole of stability and capable rationality by rolling out a long-term conservation strategy in accordance with the social reality that surrounds him. Thus, his thinking inaugurates the democratic pragmatism of modernity which was later deepened by the philosophy of the Enlightenment.

Opis:: The following text is dedicated to early medieval strongholds built in Mazovia between the end of the 9th and the end of the 11th c. At least 39 sites can be dated to that period, among them 14 were built in the so-called “tribal” period, while the other ones are associated with the early Piast state structures. One should emphasize the small number of “tribal” strong¬holds and their concentration to the north of the middle Vistula river. The standardized form of the oldest fortifications refers directly to the so-called Tornow type. Apparently, the first strongholds associated with the expansion of the early Piast state appeared at the end of the 10th c. in the western Mazovia and the main building activity was limited to that area until the end of the 11th c. Noteworthy, at least up to the mid-11th c. both “tribal” and early-state strongholds existed near to each other.

Opis:: The technology and techniques applied in small and mini Unmanned Arial Vehicles derive from full scale UAV and flying model technology. Requirement for the technology applied is based on high reliability request linked with limited dimensions and take-off weight. Airframe structures, propulsion systems and take-off and landing techniques are described in this paper. Analysis of strength and weaknesses and development perspectives of these techniques are presented also. The paper describes briefly the control systems, flight data acquisition units and telemetry links.
Technika i technologia wykorzystywana w małych i miniaturowych UAVs pochodzi z pełno wymiarowych obiektów UAV i techniki modeli latających. Wymagania stosowanej technologii są oparte na żądaniach osiągnięcia wysokiej niezawodności połączonych z niedużymi wymiarami obiektu i jego małą masą startową. Artykuł opisuje konstrukcje płatowców, zespołów napędowych oraz techniki startu i lądowania. W artykule zawarta jest również analiza silnych i słabych punktów tych technik oraz perspektywy ich rozwoju. Artykuł opisuje pokrótce systemy sterowania, systemy zbierania danych lotnych oraz łącza telemetryczne.

Opis:: Rozszczep wargi i/lub podniebienia jest jedną z najczęstszych występujących w populacji ludzkiej wad wrodzonych. Odpowiada bowiem za 65% anomalii rozwojowych twarzoczaszki, a postępowanie terapeutyczne w tej wadzie, ze względu na różnorodność i złożoność problemów, które z niej potencjalnie wynikają, bywa niezwykle trudne. Rozliczne kontrowersje dotyczą zarówno samego postępowania chirurgicznego – pierwotnego i wtórnego – jak i rehabilitacji, która w najprostszym ujęciu dotyczy warunków szczękowo-zgryzowych i mowy. Na przestrzeni ostatniego ćwierćwiecza nastąpiło szczególnie dużo zmian w koncepcji leczenia tej wady. Przedstawia je niniejszy artykuł, podkreślając najistotniejsze nowe tendencje. W odniesieniu do samego leczenia chirurgicznego światową tendencją stało się skracanie terminu pierwotnego chirurgicznego zamknięcia szczeliny rozszczepu podniebienia. Wg obecnych standardów postępowania powinno ono mieć miejsce w pierwszym roku życia dziecka, co ma związek zarówno z rozwojem anestezjologii dziecięcej, jak i z nowoczesnym spojrzeniem na rehabilitację mowy i zgryzu w tej najczęstszej wadzie rozwojowej twarzoczaszki.
Cleft lip and/or palate is one of the most common birth defects in the human population. It is responsible for 65% of craniofacial developmental anomalies, and the therapeutic procedure in this defect, due to the variety and complexity of problems that potentially result from it, can be extremely difficult. Numerous controversies concern both the surgical procedure itself, both primary and secondary, as well as rehabilitation, which in the simplest terms concerns maxillofacial conditions and speech. Over the last quarter of a century, there have been particularly many changes in the concept of treatment of orofacial clefts. This article presents them highlighting the most important new trends. With regard to the surgical treatment itself, the global tendency has been to shorten the date of primary surgical closure of the clefted palate. According to current standards, it should take place in the first year of a child’s life, which is related to both the development of pediatric anesthesiology and a modern view on speech and occlusion rehabilitation in this defect.
