- The research described in the current paper was conducted within the framework of the grant "Test stand for hybrid vehicle drive" financed by Ministry of Science and Higher Education, grant No. N N510 326637. It was necessary to measure efficiency of drive system for different variants of BLDC motor control, in order to ensure energy-saving operation of hybrid (electric) vehicle drive and, subsequently, maximization of vehicle range when motor is supplied from electrical energy accumulator. Such lab tests demand repeatability of measurement conditions. Factors influencing efficiency of drive system (transformation of accumulated electrical energy to mechanical energy at motor shaft) and resulting from required traction parameters are rotational speed and load torque. The issue formulated as given above requires construction of test stand which will ensure stabilization of rotational speed at previously set level as well as stabilization of load torque also at previously set level.
