    Opis:
    The electoral system of Suriname has been analyzed. Suriname has a unicameral parliament, the National Assembly. The 51 seats of the National Assembly are distributed among 10 districts. There are large discrepancies between the numbers of voters represented by a seat in the various districts. Apportionment methods leading to different seat distributions are explored and compared with each other and with the current one. The comparison is done with respect to the number of voters represented by a seat, the mean majority deficit and the probability that a majority deficit will occur, the influence of a voter in a particular district using the Banzhaf power index, and the influence of a political party relative to the percentage of the popular vote that the party obtained. The method of equal proportions turns out to yield the best results in general.

    Opis:
    W artykule przedstawiono, na przykładzie dwóch przęseł mostowych, sposoby powtórnego użycia konstrukcji stalowych. Należy zwrócić uwagę, że już na etapie demontażu konstrukcji bardzo ważną decyzją jest to, czy konstrukcja będzie powtórnie użyta. Sposób podziału na elementy wysyłkowe, transport, składowanie – to wszystko jest zależne od tego, jaki będzie dalszy los konstrukcji i czy będzie się ona nadawała do powtórnego użycia. Czynników wpływających na możliwość ponownego wykorzystania konstrukcji jest bardzo wiele. Celem prowadzonych w ramach niniejszego artykułu rozważań jest wskazanie czynników, jakie należy wziąć pod uwagę przy podejmowaniu decyzji o ponownym wykorzystaniu zdemontowanych konstrukcji stalowych oraz zwrócenie uwagi na korzystny wpływ takiego działania na środowisko naturalne.
    The paper presents the manners of re-using steel structures, based on the examples of two bridge spans. It should be noted that the decision, whether a structural element will be re-used is very important as early as at the stage of disassembling the structure. The manner of dividing the structure into shipping elements, transport and storage – all this depends on the intended future of the given element and on whether it will be suitable for reusing. There are numerous factors that influence the possibility to reuse a structure. The aim of the considerations presented in this article is to specify the factors that must be taken into account when making a decision on re-using disassembled steel structures and to emphasise the beneficial environmental impact of such actions.
