    Opis:
    The presence of spiritual and religious changes in adolescence is strongly supported by the existing theory and research. In the present article we propose to apply a deconversion-based approach to the exploration of religious crisis in adolescence. Streib developed the theory of deconversion in the context of the growing interest in atheism and apostasy. In the proposed approach, deconversion processes comprise all changes in personal religiosity that involve a departure from the current ways of manifesting religiosity. Drawing on Streib’s theory, on the basis of research conducted on 323 people, we constructed the Adolescent Deconversion Scale. Analyses revealed the existence of four dimensions, which we interpreted as: (1) abandoning faith, (2) withdrawal from the community, (3) experiencing transcendental emptiness, and (4) moral criticism. The reliability and validity of the new method were assessed and found to be acceptable.

    The article attempts to show various ways of presenting spirituality in film. The paper contains a review of selected theories concerning the construct of spirituality in psychology. The main part of the article is comprised of the analysis of spirituality in three American films (The Green Mile, The Straight Story and Into the Wild), each offering a bit different understanding of this notion. The Green Mile refers to universal problems of existence and the spirituality is shown in the direct form of the interventions of supernatural power. The Straight Story speaks of spirituality by telling a “straight” story of an elderly man who fights with his flaws and past failures which allows him to redefine his own identity. Into the Wild, which is also based on a true story, presents a rebellion against the materialism and consumerism of the contemporary world, and a travel which takes place both in physical and spiritual dimensions. The article contains also the analysis of spiritual transformations of the particular film characters.
    Artykuł jest próbą pokazania różnych sposobów prezentowania duchowości w filmie. Opracowanie zawiera przegląd wybranych ujęć konstruktu duchowości w psychologii. Główną część stanowi analiza duchowości w trzech filmach amerykańskich (The Green Mile, The Straight Story oraz Into the Wild), z których każdy oferuje nieco inną reprezentację tego pojęcia. The Green Mile odwołuje się do uniwersalnych problemów egzystencjalnych, duchowość zaś przedstawia w postaci bezpośrednich ingerencji siły wyższej. The Straight Story nawiązuje do duchowości, opowiadając „prostą” historię starszego człowieka walczącego ze swoimi słabościami i przeszłymi błędami, co pozwala mu na redefinicję własnej tożsamości. Into the Wild, również bazując na prawdziwej historii, tym razem młodego człowieka, przedstawia bunt przeciwko materializmowi i konsumpcjonizmowi współczesnego świata oraz jego podróż, odbywającą się zarówno w wymiarze fizycznym, jak i duchowym. Artykuł zawiera także analizę przemian duchowych bohaterów poszczególnych filmów.

    В статье рассматриваются Рим и Иерусалим в жизни и творчестве Гоголя, как места его творческой биографии. Главный предмет обсуждения - геокуль- турологическая и философская перспектива видения этих мест писателем, т.е. топофилия и философско-духовная подоплека мировоззрения, а также роль «вечного Рима» и «святого Иерусалима» в формировании эстетики писателя. Рим отобразился в прозе писателя в неоконченном произведении Рим 1842 г. (первоначально Лннунциата), а также в переписке, поскольку Иерусалим остался в художественном плане местом пустоты. Гоголь упоминал о паломничестве в Палестину очень редко. В рассуждениях появляется попытка объяснить последний этап жизни писателя и его духовного преображения в аспекте культурологического воздействия места.

    Artykuł koncentruje się na medytacyjnym aspekcie duchowej przemiany Juliusza Słowackiego i omawia owoce jego medytacyjnej postawy. Głównym materiałem badawczym w przeprowadzanych rozważaniach i ustaleniach stała się korespondencja poety. W pracy poddane analizie zostały kolejno takie jakości i pochodne medytacyjnego stylu życia poety jak: wewnętrzna radość i zachwycenie, poddanie się przyciągającemu działaniu Boga, duchowa obojętność, ale także takie działanie i aktywność, których specyfika i istota okazują się wypadkową aktu medytacyjnego. Wyodrębnienie i przyjrzenie się owym poszczególnym skutkom aktu medytacji pozwala po raz kolejny przychylić się do badawczej opinii Ewy Szczeglackiej-Pawłowskiej, że poeta ów w pełni zasługuje na miano homo meditans. Transgresja duchowa poety była już po wielokroć opisywana jednakże ustawienie jej w świetle medytacji pozwala wydobyć z zagadnienia nowe sensy.
    The article focuses on the meditative aspect of Juliusz Słowacki's spiritual transformation and discusses the fruits of his meditative attitude. The poet's correspondence became the main research material in the deliberations and findings. The work analyzes successively such qualities and derivatives of the poet's meditative lifestyle as: inner joy and delight, submission to God's drawing action, spiritual indifference, but also such actions and activities, the specificity and essence of which turn out to be the result of a meditative act. By isolating and examining these particular effects of the act of meditation, we once again agree to the research opinion of Ewa Szczeglacka-Pawłowska that the poet fully deserves to be called homo meditans. The poet's spiritual transgression has been described many times, however, placing it in the light of meditation allows us to extract new meanings from the issue.

    The aim of this article is to show on the example of the siblings Hans and Sophie Scholl the influence of books, furthermore the power of the word and the content, contained in the books on the spiritual transformation of the human being. A deeply rooted in Christian values and in liberal world views parental home, the contact with art and music, but in particular the reading masterpieces of outstanding writers, philosophers and theologians were for Scholl siblings in the time of the Nazi regime, the unwavering basement not only of their intellectual development, but above all of their spiritual transformation, which releases an enormous power, to oppose passively against the manipulating and terrorising regime, creating and spread the leaflets of the White Rose, but also the power of an unlimited courage to give their lives for saving the personal freedom of the mankind.
    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie wpływu książki na przemianę duchową człowieka na przykładzie rodzeństwa Hansa i Sophie Scholl. Głęboko zakorzeniony w wartościach chrześcijańskich i liberalnych poglądach dom rodzinny, kontakt ze sztuką i muzyką, a zwłaszcza czytanie dzieł wybitnych literatów, filozofów i teologów, stanowiło dla rodzeństwa Scholl nie tylko podstawę rozwoju intelektualnego, ale przede wszystkim przemiany duchowej. Wyzwoliła ona w nich siłę do biernego przeciwstawienia się reżimowi poprzez tworzenie i rozpowszechnianie ulotek Białej Róży, jak również odwagę do oddania swojego życia za ocalenie wolności osobistej człowieka.

    In this study authors mainly emphasize the importance of the question of “Can authentic leaders transform organizations easier or more effectively when compared to other leaders?” As the fire and intensity of self-interest seem to burn all around us, we search, so often in vain, to find leaders we can have “faith” in. We all suspect that we are being duped as a reaction to the turbulent times we live in and a response to the public's widespread disenchantment with politicians and businesspeople (Goffee & Jones, 2005). We are not uncertain about our leaders’ talents, but about their trustworthiness. Due to this feeling of uncertainty; the authentic leaders who tend to exhibit confidence, hope, optimism, resiliency and a dedication to developing leadership capabilities in others come on the scene at organizations. Open or transparent about who they are, the authentic leaders are striving to link personal values to actions and individual values to organizational values (Shamir & Eilam, 2005). By this linkage, authentic leaders are expected to “transform” organizations into legitimate arena of moral striving and human fulfillment.

    Separation, loss, confinement, and change have been imposed on entire populations during the Covid-19 pandemic in the form of lockdowns aimed at limiting the spread of the virus. They are also central to Evagrian asceticism, where they establish the conditions for the change at which the monastic life aims, namely to begin to reverse the effects of the fall by restoring the soul to health. This paper examines how they do so in order to gain an understanding of their ascetic function. Following the Introduction, it outlines Evagrius’ anthropology in order to lay the groundwork for its main theme, the healing of pathos through the practical life. Separation, loss, and confinement are each considered in turn by referencing Evagrius’ descriptions of their ascetic function and his own experience of them. Next, the change at which they aim is described, again drawing upon a range of Evagrian material. The final section of the paper considers how Evagrius can speak to the experience of lockdown by endowing separation, loss, confinement with meaning and purpose in relation to spiritual awakening and growth, highlighting our freedom to choose our attitude to them, and acting as both our guide and our companion.
