Opis:: This article reveals dependence between sense and life orientation and religious beliefs of believers. It is established that the tendency to understand God as a merciful and doting mentor is related to the aspirations to order one’s life according not only to spiritual and moral values but also to pragmatic and egoistic values which help preserve one’s individu-ality, contribute to fi nancial growth and solving personal problems. Domination of nega-tive ideas about God are accompanied by the indifferent attitude of a person to the issue of sense and life orientations.

Opis:: The modern world is characterized by rapid changes in all spheres of social life. These changes are amplified by extremely rapid dissemination of information, knowledge, values, tastes, and ideas from one society to another. Some values are invisible to the eye, other can be noticed quickly and easily. The result is a new cultural phenomena, which are called “civilization“ and “ the modern way of life.” To change the values and ideological climate in today’s world it is necessary to strengthen the role of humanitarian and moral culture. To do this, it is very important to teach people kindness and tolerance, as well as the ability to conduct intercultural dialogue while understanding common threats facing humanity today. One of the main means of solving these complex problems is the education system.

Opis:: The development of civilization and related transformation processes in society are affected the system of spiritual and moral values. As a result of intense and rapid changes in the end of the 20th – beginning of the 21st century connected with globalization, completely new values began to appear, those previously established ones were enriched and new spiritual and moral values were formed as a result of a combination of traditional and new values. In connection with the growing processes of globalization, the issue of spiritual and moral values that are being spread in the media today has become very topical, especially considering that it is the mass media that play a very significant role in the struggle to preserve national and cultural identity. Therefore, the essence of our analysis constitutes of issues relating to the values that the authors of Russian media texts are guided by, the frequency of their mentioning according to the context.
