Opis:
A description of the Mossbauer spectrometer MsAa-4 is given. The spectrometer has a modular design and it could be used as the gamma-ray spectrometer as well. It has almost entirely digital design to assure stability and repeatability. It is powered via the rechargeable battery to make it immune to the power failures. All settings are performed remotely over the Ethernet link used also to transfer data and spectrometer functions. External CAN bus could be used to attach auxiliary equipment. The status of the external equipment could be used to control spectrometer functions. Internal digital oscilloscope monitors vital functions of the spectrometer over the Ethernet link. Driving software operates under Microsoft Windows registered trademark systems and it is fully compatible with the Mosgraf-2009 data processing suite.

Opis:
Online quantitative analysis of reaction gases or exhaust in industrial production is of great significance to improve the production capacity and process. A novel method is developed for the online quantitative analysis of reaction gases or exhaust using quantitative mathematical models combined with the linear regression algorithm of machine learning. After accurately estimating the component gases and their contents in the reaction gases or exhaust, a ratio matrix is constructed to separate the relevant overlapping peaks. The ratio and calibration standard gases are detected, filtered, normalized, and linearly regressed with an online process mass spectrometer to correct the ratio matrices and obtain the relative sensitivity matrices. A quantitative mathematical model can be established to obtain the content of each component of the reaction gases or exhaust in real time. The maximum quantification error and relative standard deviation of the method are within 0.3% and 1%, after online quantification of the representative yeast fermenter tail gas.

Opis:
The article presents a method for determining the content and temperature on the basis of spectra from remote measurements. The technique uses measurements of a high resolution radiation spectrum that allows the visibility of the individual rotational lines of gases such as CO₂, used here in the range of 2470-2495 cm¯¹. At the same time a new algorithm is applied of pre-processing the spectrum, involving the use of multiple ratios of intensity at several wavenumbers as input to an inverse model based on neural networks. Due to it, the dimensionality of the input can significantly be reduced. Additionally, the data interpreted do not have to be measured in units of spectral radiance. Thus only the calibration of the sensitivity of the spectrometer at various wavelengths is required. The neural models were constructed on the basis of data from the simulation. The proposed method works with a uniform layer of radiating gas for determining the temperature and CO₂ content. For a non-uniform layer it is possible to determine the line-of-sight temperature profile and average gas content. The method can be extended to different spectral ranges and to other gases present in substantial quantities in the exhaust gases of various processes.

Opis:
An objective of this paper is to form a spectral library of endmembers of the Polish Lowland vegetation species, which were collected in the Botanic Garden of the University of Warsaw, which is one of the oldest (it was founded in 1818) and the smallest (5 ha) botanic gardens in Poland. For the data acquisition ASD FieldSec3 JR, Chlorophyll Content Meter CCM-200 and a digital camera were used. Each spectral library set contains: 300 separate spectrometric measurements (100 dark current, 100 white reference and 100 ASD Plant Probe Leaf Clip); Chlorophyll Content Index and biometric information (e.g. LAI, fAPAR); 3 digital photos, time and localisation data. The spectral library contains 73 characteristics of the most important plant species (from the “red list” of protected plants and the most famous plants of the Polish Lowland Flora). Now all these data will be upgrading the Swiss SPECCHIO library as a local Polish input to the European spectral database.
