Given the reliance of the contemporary IT professional training process on a predetermined scenario for success outlined in educational programs and confined within local needs our research aimed to identify and examine effective ways of integrating spiritual and professional development for future specialists in the field of digital (IT) technologies. Our assumption was that the development of core values as a spiritual component of IT specialists influences the effectiveness of acquiring 21st century skills and shapes their professional competence. A correlational study was conducted to explore the relationship between the level of formation of core values in future IT specialists and the level of 21st century skills in these individuals. The research strategy was based on the application of distinct methods (Schwartz, S. H. (1992), Hixson, 2012, mathematical statistical methods – Kendall’s correlation analysis) to test the effectiveness of the author’s model. Its conceptual idea is to confirm the hypothesis that higher levels of 21st century skills correlate with higher levels of core values in future IT specialists. The results of the tasks revealed correlations between higher levels of 21st century skills and the core values of future IT specialists. This allowed confirming the leading idea of the research: Ukrainian students in IT specialties demonstrate the ability to acquire 21st century skills associated with values that support a “positive” vector in the functioning of an individual (benevolence, conformity, security, traditions, universalism, stimulation, and independence).

The paper reconstructs the ways of attributing meanings to IT specialists’ careers at BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) centers in Poland. The findings rely on empirical data, collected through autobiographical narrative interviews. The technique of analysis applied in the study was inspired by grounded theory methodology and allowed for the identification of a basic social process at the analytical stage, namely, “career planning.” On the one hand, the analysis also showed how IT specialists’ careers are given meanings concerning career planning; there seem to be three main ways of understanding one’s career in IT: (1) in terms of reaching economic and social stability, (2) as a transition period in a career as an IT specialist, (3) with regard to becoming an expert in IT. On the other hand, the second axis of analysis has been conceptualized, which is comprised of other subjective and objective elements that may shape career planning. These include the biographical experiences of work, the context of the Polish BPO industry, and career planning resources. Furthermore, a typology consisting of three ways of attributing meanings to IT specialists’ careers at BPO centers has been put forward and analyzed.

The axiological guidelines for the training of preschool education specialists are determined by modern requirements for preschool education, first and foremost, by the consolidation of separate values around the ideal – the concept of a preschool child. Being perceived and appropriated by a preschool teacher, they form professional value orientations and serve as an indicator of professional orientation, personal and professional development. It is the value orientations that determine the attitude of a person to the world, himself, his profession. Professional pedagogical education aims at formation of the future teacher’s value orientation. Its content is determined by pedagogical values of European higher education (quality, mobility, appeal, democracy, human-centeredness, tolerance, peacefulness, environmental security, human rights, solidarity, identity, multiculturalism, professionalism, civic consciousness) and humanistic values of the profession itself (spirituality, morality, love, respect, patience, freedom, compassion, justice, knowledge, competence, personal orientation, childcenteredness, etc.). It is important to turn the improvement of professional teacher training into an interdisciplinary quest pursued at the philosophical, sociological, psychological, pedagogical, physiological, medical, methodological and other levels. Since the child is the core of pedagogical profession, the content of pedagogical education should include not only knowledge about the child, but also instructions on how to apply it. Of great significance are practical training, the use of person-oriented technologies, exposure of students to the environment, where the approaches, ideas, principles, methods and technologies underlying professional activities of future teachers are implemented.
Aksjologiczne wzorce kształcenia specjalistów edukacji przedszkolnej są ustalane według współczesnych wymagań odnoszących się do edukacji przedszkolnej, zmierzającej w kierunku ideału, tzn. obrazu dziecka-przedszkolaka. Kształtowanie orientacji specjalistycznej przyszłego pedagoga powinna realizować edukacja zawodowo-pedagogiczna. Na jej treść mają wpływ wytyczne europejskie oraz humanistyczne walory zawodu nauczycielskiego. Istotne jest, aby kształcenie i doskonalenie zawodowe pedagogów miało charakter interdyscyplinarny i by było realizowane nie tylko w oparciu o wiedzę psychologiczną i pedagogiczną, ale też filozoficzną, socjologiczną, medyczną. Ponieważ kwestia dotyczy wychowania dziecka, ważne jest aby treści edukacji pedagogicznej wzbogacić zarówno wiedzą o nim (dziecku), jak i wskazówkami pozwalającymi praktycznie z tej wiedzy korzystać. Duże znaczenie odgrywają tu szkolenia, rozeznanie środowiska i inne czynniki, na podstawie których przyszli specjaliści mogą budować swoją działalność zawodową.

Rapid changes in technologies and digitalization challenges caused by Industry 4.0 with the integration of the AI, machine learning algorithms, internet of things’ technologies, introduction of maritime autonomous surface ships and the development of digital shipping and logistics processes require proper education and training of specialists working in maritime industry to ensure safety and security of people, oceans, goods and environment. The shipping and logistic processes and operations, including the decision-making processes, on the global scale and on the scale of whole-organisation ecosystems become more dependent on the manipulation of data from different unstructured open sources and private data sets, increased amount of data stream from sensorial systems. The specialists working with automated systems need competences to use and interpret special data, engineering and analysis algorithms, and skills in using modelling tools of optimised solutions in shipping and logistics. Educational institutions have to be ready to present effective solutions to educate quickly adaptable specialists able to meet volatile labour market needs able to meet digitalization challenges. The case study of the Lithuanian Maritime Academy (LMA) presented in the paper is based on the use of an integrative approach and work integrated learning with the aim of enabling the educational environment to develop proper competencies of the specialists of shipping and logistics information systems.

This paper presents the results of a study of bird populations connected with the oldest forest stands of pine coniferous forests in Kampinoska Forest, where the pine trees are minimum 160 years old. It presents the basic results concerning the distribution, selectiveness and habitat preferences of hole-nesters and the birds connected with old forests in connection with habitat characteristics. The studied areas were dominated by hole-nesters, and a significant share was of birds connected with gaps left after broken trees. A large group was made up by birds which collect invertebrates among trees and then the species which feed on trunks and branches. Large dimensions of pine trees and numerous cracks in bark, cracks in trunks and hollows under windfallen tress served as microhabitats for particular bird species. The index of species diversity and number of pairs were similar in every area, probably due to dozens of years of forest protection, thanks to which similar quantity and quality parameters developed in the areas.

This paper presents the results of the ornithological research performed in the oldest dry coniferous forests of Kampinos National Park (central Poland). The field study took place on three 25-ha-sites overgrown with Scots pine Pinus sylvestris over 150 years old. The species composition of the dominant group was found to differ from that of other forests. Hole-nesters constituted the most important part of the population of birds together with old and mature forest specialists and residents. Hole-nesters were numerously represented (50% of all noted pairs). Old and mature forest specialists constituted 40% of all pairs. Seven species connected to natural forest clearings were also found to be of significant importance. The presence of such ecological groups is proof of the biological balance and diversity of the researched forests.

We developed, justified and verified methodological foundations for the professional training of specialists in public management of quality and security of socio-cultural forms of education, science and innovation systems of diploma-training of future representatives of the academic sphere, successors of scientific heritage of the trans-boundary level to consolidate the efforts of quality and safety cohesion of acquired and prolonged trajectories of employment and professional development , pleasure insurance according to the needs and requirements of interested and academically worthy and capable categories of applicants for educational and scientific services and consulting and advisory services to build intellectual and emotional capacity of perspective development of transcultural interaction of communicative perception of understanding and consent of diverse categories of society without breaking the biosocial stability equilibrium. We achieved the goals of axiological analysis of conceptual and categorical apparatus with regard to the problem of professional training of future public management specialists on the basis of scientific schools of managerialism in philosophical, psychological and pedagogical and managerial literature; we established the semantics of organization of professional training of future public management specialists for teaching activity ; we justified the structure of professional competence of future public management specialists. We applied a set of methods – axiological analysis, systemic and institutional for semantics of the training management system in higher education institutions and the development of methods for organizing professional training of future public management specialists for teaching activity; method of analogy and probabilistic modeling.

This article presents the issues connected with various types of exploitation wearing and malfunctions of vehicle parts and components in a practical approach – from the perspective of assessments and the opinions of car specialists. The work is illustrated by well-matched illustrations and examples from the expert’s practice. Malfunctions and engine damage have been presented, as well as malfunctions and damage of gear shifts, transfer cases, truck frames and other equipment types. This is accompanied by an assessment of the causes of their occurrence. Everything is supplemented by numerous schemes and figures directly connected with the topic with this subject.
W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia różnego zużywania eksploatacyjnego i awaryjnego części i podzespołów pojazdów w ujęciu praktycznym – z punktu widzenia ocen i opinii rzeczoznawcy samochodowego. Opracowanie zilustrowano dobranymi przykładami z praktyki rzeczoznawczej.Przedstawiono awarie i uszkodzenia silników i niektórego osprzętu, skrzyń rozdzielczych, ram samochodów ciężarowych - wraz z oceną przyczyn ich powstawania. Całość uzupełniają liczne schematy i rysunki bezpośrednio związane z tematem.

Inclusive education is one of the most important and relevant contextual conditions in relation to the new model of functional assessment in Poland. Activities to support students with different educational needs require systematic monitoring of the changing state of their personal and environmental needs. The aim of the article is to present the main assumptions and determinants of functional assessment in Poland as a result of joint activities of teachers and professionals, including the possibility of using the ICF classification, which allows describing the functioning of students with different needs, and the use of functional assessment procedures from the moment of identification of the student's problem to the evaluation of the impact of the support provided. Functional assessment is a multi-faceted and varied process for identifying a student's resources and difficulties and the environmental factors that influence them. It is the basis for all help, support, therapy or rehabilitation measures carried out by various specialists and teachers. It has to include information from different sources in order to get an objective picture of the student's functioning and to learn about his or her life situation. A necessary prerequisite for the functional assessment is the correlation of the actions of the individuals from the supporting institutions and the parents, as well as their knowledge, which includes both the clinical picture of the problem and the person's functioning in everyday situations (ICF), including the impact on the student's functioning in relation to contextual factors (resources and barriers in the environment).

The ongoing transformation of many aspects of health care requires an in-depth assessment of the most important principles of medical practice. These transformations should be seen as an opportunity for all medical professions to respond to reforms in a new combination with society. Healthcare is increasingly democratized: information, testing, and therapy will be combined in the accelerated technological convergence. The role of the health care provider, who is no longer the sole owner of the body of knowledge, is changing dramatically, and it is crucial that health care professionals adapt through practice, education and training to reflect new skills that complement and enhance all aspects of care. The need for change is necessary for the understanding what health technologies should be managed. The answer lies in the intangible nature of the human spirit and the will to achieve health and well-being for all.
Postępująca transformacja wielu aspektów opieki zdrowotnej wymaga dogłębnej oceny najważniejszych zasad praktyki lekarskiej. Te przemiany należy postrzegać, jako szansę dla wszystkich zawodów medycznych i reakcję na reformy, w nowym połączeniu ze społeczeństwem. Opieka zdrowotna jest coraz bardziej zdemokratyzowana: informacje, testy i terapia zostaną połączone w ramach przyspieszonej konwergencji technologicznej. Rola świadczeniodawcy opieki zdrowotnej, który nie jest już jedynym właścicielem zasobu wiedzy, zmienia się dramatycznie i ważne jest, aby pracownicy służby zdrowia dostosowali się poprzez praktykę, edukację i szkolenia, wykorzystując nowe umiejętności, dla uzupełnienie i wzmacnianie wszystkich aspektów opieki. Potrzeba zmian jest konieczna dla zrozumienia, jakimi technologiami medycznymi należy zarządzać. Odpowiedź tkwi w nieuchwytnej naturze ludzkiego ducha, chęci osiągnięcia zdrowia i dobrego samopoczucia dla wszystkich.

The emergence and rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 caused uncertainty about our health, jobs, and the education system. For teachers, changes in workplaces and the breakdown of interpersonal relationships during the pandemic caused even greater stress levels in what is already known to be a stressful job. We wanted to find out if a positive or negative attitude towards online work influenced levels of stress and mental well-being, perceived difficulties at work, subjective evaluation of received support, and effectiveness of remote work during the first wave of SARS-CoV-2 in Poland. Data was collected using a questionnaire, the PSS 10 scale and another scale based on GHQ12 and GH30. Nearly one-third of the respondents indicated positive aspects of online education. Those who could see the positive aspects of online education showed themselves better adapted to the new form of working and had higher results in all four scales that we researched. They handled online tools, used synchronous methods, conducted educational activities more often, and felt competent during online work. Supporting the effectiveness of educators by improving the competencies that they need for this new form of working is vital with regard to the changes within the school institution.
