Przekształcenia w ramach systemu przestrzeni publicznych są jednym z ważniejszych aspektów rewitalizacji obszarów miast. Przestrzeń pomiędzy budynkami to ciągła gra między użytkownikiem przestrzeni miejskiej a jej fizyczną objętością, kształtem i cechami przestrzennymi. Struktura przestrzenna i cechy geometryczne są istotnym wyznacznikiem jakości przestrzeni małych miast. Artykuł prezentuje możliwości i rezultaty aplikacji zaawansowanych analiz urbanistycznych w zakresie obserwacji zmian geometrii systemu przestrzeni publicznych i zabudowy przeprowadzone w środowisku modeli 3D małych miast. Przykładowa aplikacja dotyczy przestrzeni małych miast polskich, których struktura przestrzenna uległa znaczącym zmianom na skutek historycznych wydarzeń ostatniego stulecia.
Transformation within system of public spaces is one of the most important aspects of revitalization processes in cities. “The space between buildings” is a continual game between user of urban space and its physical volume, shape and geometrical parameters. Spatial structure and geometrical parameters are important determinants of quality of urban space in small cities. The article presents prospects and results of advanced analyses of urban transformation, in field of geometry of public spaces, applied in environment of 3D city models. The sample application is presented on example of small Polish cities suffering significant spatial changes due to history of last age.

Artykuł prezentuje jedynie kluczowe kwestie, które w pełnej rozprawie są znacznie rozbudowane.
Presented doctoral thesis is devoted to problems of public spaces within housing areas. The LPS settlements were selected as area of research, because of its extent in Polish cities and characteristic, comparable spatial structure. The basis for the research is genesis and development of the LPS housing and problems of functioning of public spaces. The result of the research is method of organization and scaling deformations of public spaces. The summary is presented in three parts: theoretical, introduction to the WPD method and application. The article presents the part 2. - introduction to the WPD method. The article includes only key problems, which are presented in detail if fuli text of doctoral thesis.

Jednym z istotnych zagadnień dotyczących zmian i przekształceń w urbanistycznej tkance miast jest zależność między zmianami konfiguracji przestrzennej różnych obszarów miasta a zmianami w sposobie użytkowania tych miejsc. W artykule podjęto analizę projektu zmiany układu komunikacyjnego i przestrzennego w rejonie ulicy Staszica i ronda Giedroycia w Szczecinie. Jednocześnie artykuł zawiera prezentacja rozwiązania projektowego kładki i zagospodarowania przyległego skweru miejskiego u zbiegu ulic Staszica i Wyzwolenia, którego współautorem jest autor artykułu. Przedstawiono również analizy zmian w zakresie funkcjonowania przestrzeni związanej z kładką pieszą oraz problemy natury urbanistycznej towarzyszące takim realizacjom. Projekt zrealizowano i oddano do użytkowania w roku 2008.
One of the important problems related to transformation of urban space in cities relation between spatial reconfiguration and changes in usage of different areas in the city. The article includes analysis on impact of urban project on space usage of important space within city centre of Szczecin. Analyses refer to functional and usage aspects of the project prepared as a co-author by author of this article. Project was completed in 2008.

Opis:
Present paper is a continuation of works on evaluation of red, green, blue (RGB) to hue, saturation, intensity (HSI) colour space transformation in regard to digital image processing application in optical measurements methods. HSI colour space seems to be the most suitable domain for engineering applications due to its immunity to non-uniform lightning. Previous stages referred to the analysis of various RGB to HSI colour space transformations equivalence and programming platform configuration influence on the algorithms execution. The main purpose of this step is to understand the influence of computer processor architecture on the computing time, since analysis of images requires considerable computer resources. The technical development of computer components is very fast and selection of particular processor architecture can be an advantage for fastening the image analysis and then the measurements results. In this paper the colour space transformation algorithms, their complexity and execution time are discussed. The most common algorithms were compared with the authors own one. Computing time was considered as the main criterion taking into account a technical advancement of two computer processor architectures. It was shown that proposed algorithm was characterized by shorter execution time than in reported previously results.

Artykuł ten, odwołując się do analizy autobiograficznych relacji dwóch trzydziestoletnich kobiet (artystki i lekarza), podejmuje próbę zarysowania pewnych wymiarów analitycznych związanych z doświadczaniem konieczności sprostania oczekiwaniom rodziny oraz – znacząco odmiennym – wymaganiom kapitalistycznej gospodarki rynkowej. Istotna jest tu przynależność narratorek do pokolenia, którego proces adolescencji i wchodzenia we wczesną dorosłość (tym samym na rynek pracy) przebiega w specyficznym kontekście historycznym, społecznym i kulturowym, którego ramę stanowią dynamiczne i wzajemnie powiązane procesy transformacji ustrojowej, wejścia w struktury Unii Europejskiej, intensywnej modernizacji, globalizacji czy wreszcie rozwoju neoliberalnej ideologii. Szczególna uwaga zostaje zatem zwrócona na potencjały bezładu i chaosu ukryte z jednej strony w tradycyjnej rodzinie, a z drugiej w rządzonym kapitalistycznymi regułami świecie pracy. W odniesieniu do drugiego przypadku zostanie pokazane, w jaki sposób neoliberalne mechanizmy promujące takie przymioty, jak: kreatywność, racjonalność, sprawczość, odpowiedzialność i tym podobne systematycznie wytwarzają sytuację biograficznej pułapki i inicjują proces trajektorii, którą w istocie charakteryzują neoliberalne antywartości, to jest niemoc, irracjonalność, bezradność czy samowyobcowanie.
This paper, based on the analysis of autobiographical renderings of two women (a medicine doctor and an artist) being in their thirties, aims at outlining certain analytical dimensions connected with the narrators’ need to meet both expectations of their parents and significantly different requirements of a free-market economy in Poland. It is important to note that the informants belong to the generation that entered their adolescence and early adulthood period (and at the same time—labour market) in a very specific socio-cultural context, framed by the dynamics of interrelated processes of political transformation, joining the European Union, vibrant modernization, globalization, and, last but not least, development of neoliberal ideology. Consequently, special attention is paid to the potentials of disorder and chaos embedded, on the one hand, in the traditional family and, on the other hand, in the world of work governed by the capitalist rules of the game. Moreover, it will be discussed here how neoliberal mechanisms promoting such attributes as creativity, rationality, agency, responsibility, et cetera are in fact a biographical trap that may initiate the processes of the trajectory of suffering. This is characterized by the neoliberal anti-values: powerlessness, irrationality, helplessness, and self-alienation.

As a Wall Came Down… New Boundaries, New Narratives (Yugoslavism and Yugoslav Artistic Space, Discontinuity and Fragmentation in the Core Narrative of the Cultural Institutions in Transition-Period Serbia)The main aim of this overview is to trace the presence and importance of the Yugoslav narrative (dedicated to a common cultural and artistic space before, during and after Yugoslavia) as important for (re)creating and maintaining continuity and coherence in the core narrative as an internal structure of cultural institutions in Serbia, especially in the transition period (2000 – 2018). The emergence of the South Slavic unity idea at the territory of the Balkans, as we argue in the article, can be traced to a time long before the state of Yugoslavia was created as a concept. The fact that a common field (common ground) in the sense of cultural space existed long before the creation of Yugoslavia contains the assumption that common cultural ground and art space exist in the post-Yugoslav period as well. The concept of the common cultural space is also known as Yugoslav Artistic Space. The main goal of the article is to shape the conclusion that Yugoslav Artistic Space, considering its tradition, still exists despite the political changes after 1989, particularly during the ‘90s and the transition process, if not in another sense, than as a core narrative of the institutions (such as the Museum Of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, for example). It also delineates the thesis that marginalization of the Yugoslav legacy leads to discontinuity, fragmentation, and a status quo position in the transition process of Serbian cultural institutions. Kiedy mur upadł… Nowe granice, nowe narracje (Jugoslawizm i jugosłowiańska przestrzeń artystyczna, dyskontynuacja i fragmentaryzacja w głównym nurcie narracji instytucji kultury w Serbii w czasie przemiany)Celem artykułu jest prezentacja obecności i znaczenia jugoslawizmu i jugosłowiańskiej narracji, jak też fenomenu jugosłowiańskiej przestrzeni artystycznej (także po upadku Jugosławii), jako czynnika podtrzymującego kontynuację i jedność głównego nurtu narracji dotyczącego struktury instytucji kultury w Serbii w okresie przemiany (2000 – 2018). Kreacja jedności jugosłowiańskiej (południowosłowiańskiej) na terenie Bałkanów, jak będzie o tym [mowa] w tekście, ma swoje początki wiele lat przed powstaniem państwa jugosłowiańskiego. Fakt istnienia wspólnego pola w sensie kulturowym i kulturologicznym przed powstaniem Jugosławii daje nadzieję możliwości istnienia jednej kulturowej i artystycznej przestrzeni także w okresie post jugosłowiańskim, za sprawą znanego i niedawno zdefiniowanego terminu „jugosłowiańska przestrzeń artystyczna” Ješy Denegri (2011). W artykule jest położony akcent na jugosłowiańską przestrzeń artystyczną wraz z jej tradycją, która, pomimo zmian politycznych 1989 roku, a szczególnie lat 90-tych, trwa nadal w bardzo konkretny sposób, w głównym nurcie narracji instytucji kultury (czego przykładem jest Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej w Belgradzie). [Autorka] eksponuje także twierdzenie [obecne w głównym nurcie narracji], że marginalizacja idei i tradycji juslawizmu prowadzi do zerwania kontynuacji i fragmentaryzacji, do przyjmowania pozycji status quo w procesie przemiany instytucji kultury w Serbii. Чим је Зид пао… Нове границе, нови наративи. (Југословенство и југословенски уметнички простор, дисконтинуитет и фрагментираност средишњег наратива институција културе у Србији, у периоду транзиције)Чланак представља осврт на присуство и важност југословенства и југословенског наратива, као и феномена југословенског уметничког простора (и после Југославије), у поновном успостављању и одржавању континуитета и јединства средишњег наратива као носећег, када је реч о унутрашњој структури институција културе у Србији, у периоду транзиције (2000 – 2018). Стварање јужнословенског јединства на територији Балкана, како ћемо навести у тексту, има своје почетке много пре прве концептуализације југословенске државе. Чињеница да је заједнички простор, у смислу културолошког и културног заједничког поља, постојао и пре стварања Југославије, наговештава могућност постојања јединственог културног и уметничког простора и у пост- југословенском периоду, познатим и дефинисаним управо термином југословенски уметнички простор, Јеше Денегрија (2011). У тексту се истиче да југословенски уметнички простор, узимајући у обзир његову традицију, опстаје упркос политичким променама 1989, нарочито ‘90тих година, све до данас – на конкретнији начин, или у средишњем наративу институција културе (Музеја савремене уметности у Београду, на пример). Такође, истакнута је тврдња да имаргинализација идеје југословенства и традиције југословенства, води у дисконтинуитет, фрагментацију, и status quo позицију у транзитивном процесу институција културе у Србији.

Opis:
Considered the dynamic problem of the theory of elasticity for multilayered half-space. Boundary surface of inhomogeneous half-space loaded with normal load, and the boundaries of separation layers are in conditions of ideal mechanical contact. The formulation involves non-classical separation of equations of motion using two functions with a particular mechanical meaning volumetric expansion and function of acceleration of the shift. In terms of these functions obtained two wave equation, written boundary conditions and the conditions of ideal mechanical contact of layers. Using the Laguerre and Fourier integral transformations was obtained the solution of the formulated problem. The results of the calculation of the stress-strain state in the half-space with a coating for a local impact loading are presented.

Modern cities are social and economic organisations whose objective is to cater for the needs of its users. The practices they employ in doing so are, however, a far cry from those used by businesses. A city would subject its economics to social and environmental conditions and thus elects the social objectives as prevalent. Urban logistics ties in perfectly with that, subscribing to social logistics each time when those objectives are achieved by shaping flows of materials and people. Logistics comes to the fore here, by facilitating deployment of correct, from viewpoint of shaping material flows, measures aimed at equal opportunities for elderly and disabled. Specific requirements, with which urban spaces should be compliant to honour the needs of seniors and disabled, were described in the paper.

In this work the connected thermoelastic contact problem for an elastic half-space to which some area heat radiant is brought is considered. Applying a method of integral transformations of Fourier to system of the differential equations of thermoelasticity and a heat conduction equation, the problem is reduced to system of two two-dimensional integral equations for definition of thermoelastic normal voltages and temperature distribution.
В работе рассматривается связанная термоупругая контактная задача для упругого полупространства, к некоторой области которого подводится источник тепла. Применяя метод интегральных преобразований Фурье к системе дифференциальных уравнений термоупругости и уравнению теплопроводности, задача сводится к системе двух двумерных интегральных уравнений для определения термоупругих нормальных напряжений и распределения температуры.

W artykule przedstawione zostały problemy miasta i jego mieszkańców związane ze zmianami sposobu życia oraz podane przykłady rozwiązań tych problemów. Przytoczono rozwiązania oddolne, spontaniczne i planowane, zagraniczne i z polskiego „podwórka”. Artykuł dotyka też problemu rozlewania się miasta i zachęca do powstrzymania lub ograniczenia tego zjawiska przez kompleksowe, przemyślane przekształcenia istniejących osiedli prefabrykowanych. Zwłaszcza, że te osiedla są i będą nieodłącznym elementem krajobrazu polskich miast. Bagatelizowanie tego fragmentu i spychanie go w działaniach planistów, urbanistów, architektów i naukowców na margines działań może rozpocząć proces podziału społecznego, który jest bardzo trudny do zatrzymania i ma też wpływ na obniżenie konkurencyjności mieszkań w skali miasta.
The article presents difficulties of the city and its inhabitants related to changes of lifestyle. It also provides examples of solutions for these problems. Grass roots, spontaneous solutions as well as planned ones, foreign and from the Polish "backyard" were shown. Article presents also the problem of urban sprawling and encourages to prevent or to reduce this phenomenon through a comprehensive thoughtful transformation of existing prefabricated housing estates built during 70’s and 80’s. Limited area of neighborhood spaces between 30 meters height buildings makes social activity, providing services and taking a rest difficult for the inhabitants. It is even more important due to the fact that the parking places involve significant consumption of estates’ space. These areas are an inseparable element of Polish urban landscapes and there is no perspective for a change. Underestimation of this issue and the fact that urban planners, architects and scientists tend to ignore it can begin the process of social division which is very difficult to stop. It also has a negative impact causing decline in real estate values in the cities. On the basis of the analysis, social and architectural research proposals were given.

Article reveals the spatial pro-cesses occurring in a post-industrial city on the example of Łódź. In the absence of opposing actions of these processes at the macro space scale, it indicates the possibility of rebuilding of the city. It accepts as the basis the natural conditions and the cultural heritage, which contributes to them. The recovered multi-hectare architectural-urban complexes, concentrated in the areas of valleys of river system of Łódź (currently spatially poorly readable) represent the potential for creating a new urban space, more eco-efficient (air flow channels in the system east - west), functionally giving a powerful software, structural crystallizing the city, giving the development the directional trends.

This paper presents results from a preliminary study in the field of artificial neural networks (ANN). The overall aim of our work relates to the field of cognitive science. In this wider framework we try to investigate, reason about, and model cognitive processes in order to obtain a better understanding of the major processing device involved - the human brain. In terms of content this paper presents a novel ANN learning approach. Note that through-out the paper we assume supervised learning. In contrast to the classical ANN learning approach where an ANN algorithm alters an initial random weight assignment until a reasonable solution to a problem is obtained this approach does not alter the initial random weight assignment at all, but provides a solution to the problem by transforming the actual input data. The approach is applied to perceptrons and adalines and its quality is demonstrated on simple classification problems.

The article presents identification methods of ship propeller torsional vibrations in dimensional space and ways for their dumping. Propeller torsional vibrations are caused by static, dynamic and hydrodynamic unbalance of propeller itself and its operation in non-uniform velocity field of ship hull. The propeller working in uneven velocity field of the hull creates cyclic thrust forces, peripheral vibrations of shaft as well as flexural and torsional load of propeller shaft. Vibrations cause additional thrust load on shaft bearings and shaft bending moment. Vibrations of ship hull, particularly its stern section cause variation of pressure field created by propeller. Amplitude of particular parts of the hull comes from the action of cyclic forces created by working ship propeller. They can be very large. Therefore, the ways to reduce vibrations caused by running propeller are very important. Given in the article methods of vibration dumping calculations conduct to determination of vibration dumping coefficients. Calculation results are comparable to measuring results in spite of fact they were determined under assumption of different velocity fields of water flowing through propeller circle. Amplitudes of vibrations depend on number of propeller blades and pulsate with the basic frequency equal to product of the rotational speed and number of blades. Causes of such vibrations and additional load of vessel stern are described in the article. An attention was paid to assure the greatest possible uniformity of velocity field by adequate design of stern shape and accessories. The ways to reduce torsional vibrations of propeller by the appropriate selection of blades number and their accurately machining are also given in the article.
