The article is a proposition of a new approach to building a neural model based on the system of Day-Ahead Market operating at TGE S.A. The reason for the proposed method is an attempt to find a better model for the DAM system. The proposed methodology is based on using mathematical models used in quantum computing. All calculations performed on learning the Artificial Neuron Network are based on operations described in Hilbert space. The main idea of calculations is to replace the data from the decimal system into the quantum state in Hilbert space and perform learning operations for a neural model of the DAM system in a special manner which relay on the teaching model for each position of the quantum register for all data. The obtained results were compared to the “classical” neural model with the use of a comparative model.

Despite the relatively numerous experimental studies, there are few published works on the topic of development of mathemati-cal models that describe the hydrodynamic processes in gears. There is no generic analytical model that integrates all types of losses. The purpose of this work is to develop a modern generalised methodology for calculating the hydrodynamic power losses of high-speed gears. For each gear, partially or fully immersed into an oil bath, the power spent to overcome the hydromechanical resistance can be represented as the sum of the following: the Coriolis force moment arising from the radial movement of the oil in the tooth spaces of the rotating gear, the viscous friction forces moment on the periphery of the gear addendums in the oil bath and the viscous friction forces moment at the face of the gear in the oil bath. The hydrodynamic power losses due to the Coriolis force action, viscosity friction losses at the periphery of the gear and the viscosity friction at the face of the gear (both turbulent and laminar modes) were observed separately. From the mathematical simulation of the rotation processes when the gear is immersed into the oil bath, an analytical dependence was obtained. It allows predicting the influence of the geometrical parameters of the gearing on the hydrodynamic power losses. Analysis of the calculation results of the power losses due to the action of hydraulic resistance forces and results from experimental studies is provided for several gears with different hydromechanical parameters. The proposed method of calculating power loss due to hydromechanical resistance of the oil bath to the rotation of the gear gave results that were close to the experimental data. Acceptable coincidence of theoretical and experimental results allows recommending the received analytical dependencies for practical calculations of high-speed gears.

Aim. The present study primarily engages with graffiti as a tactic of the weak who find pleasure in scandalising the dominant discourse. The prime focus here will be on the pleasure as resistance, on the construction of an alternative space into the dominant space, and on the multiple forms of evasive and resisting techniques through which the subordinate asserts their power. Thus, Graffiti can be read as a popular text, a signifying construct of potential meanings and pleasures for the subordinate. Concept. Conceptualised as the undisciplined play of the subordinate people that resists or evades hegemonic forces and a radical reimagining of the neo-liberal spaces, Graffiti has become a major expression of popular culture in recent times. The paper uses many such stances where the lateral thinking of the power helps to challenge the disciplinary discourses of the dominant. Results and Conclusion. The paper offers a popular reading of graffiti that opens up the way to escape control, scandalise top-down power and to assert bottom-up power at the micro-level. The real pleasure lies in scandalising the dominant discourse. Graffiti is read here as self-assertion of the marginalised who acquire public visibility and power through graffiti creation. Originality. The originality of the study depends on reviewing the manipulative actions of people in everyday lives and how this undisciplined play provides them with the opportunity to subvert the system and to escape social control. It supports the idea that the subordinate possesses transgressive deviation in relation to the everyday continuum.

In order to overcome the shortcoming of large switching losses caused by variable switching frequency appears in the conventional finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) algorithm, a model predictive direct power control (MP-DPC) for an energy storage quasi-Z-source inverter (ES-qZSI) is proposed. Firstly, the power prediction model of the ES-qZSI is established based on the instantaneous power theory. Then the average voltage vector in the coordinate system is optimized by the power cost function. Finally, the average voltage vector is used as the modulation signal, and the corresponding switching signal with fixed frequency is generated by the shoot-through segment space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technology. The simulation results show that the ES-qZSI realizes six shoot-through actions per control cycle and achieves the constant frequency control of the system, which verifies the correctness of the proposed control strategy.

This article examines the position of the Ukrainian language in educational institutions of the USSR during the 60s and 70s of the twentieth century. It is shown that the Soviet government actively implemented the policy of Russification, the aim of which was the complete destruction of the national-educational space of Ukrainians. Numerous decisions and resolutions of the country’s top party leadership have laid a solid foundation for the introduction of Russian as the language of interethnic communication. In the field of education, the ideologues of communism tried to shift the emphasis from the national characteristics of Ukrainians to the “common” for all – the Soviet ones. Oppression of the native language has caused alarm among the Ukrainian public. Realizing that the Ukrainian language is the basis for the preservation and development of the Ukrainian nation, the Ukrainian intelligentsia led the movement to protect it. Disagreeing with Russification, Ukrainians used all possible forms of protest against it at the time. It came to the formation of open opposition to Khrushchev’s educational reform. Many letters were received by various levels of government, newspapers, and magazines from various publishers, whose authors were concerned about the unequal position of the Russian and Ukrainian languages and expressed their indignation at the functioning of a large number of Russian-language educational institutions. Ukrainians were encouraged to spread the Ukrainian language and take care of its further development, thus seeking to preserve their own national identity. And the Ukrainian language continued to live and develop in the thick of the masses.

Rosyjska agresja na Ukrainę znacząco wpłynęła na wiele obszarów związanych z bezpieczeństwem międzynarodowym. Wpływ ten nie ominął przestrzeni kosmicznej, stymulując określone tendencje związane z jej militaryzacją. Tekst podejmuje zagadnienie charakteru tych tendencji i ich przełożenia na kierunki procesu militarnego wykorzystania przestrzeni pozaziemskiej. Szczególna uwaga została poświęcona wzajemnemu przenikaniu się procesów militaryzacji i komercjalizacji kosmosu. Kluczowym wnioskiem jest potwierdzenie tendencji – a w pewnym zakresie nawet nadanie jej dodatkowego impulsu – do inkorporowania rozwiązań pochodzących z sektora komercyjnego w proces militaryzacji kosmosu. Zjawisko to przybiera różne formy, od bezpośredniego wykorzystywania systemów komercyjnych do celów militarnych do rozwijania systemów wojskowych inspirowanych rozwiązaniami pochodzącymi z rynku komercyjnego. Na poziomie ogólnym prowadzi to do przekształceń w postrzeganiu pojęcia potęgi kosmicznej, w ramach której działalność komercyjna jest nie tylko wkładem w budowanie ekonomicznej pozycji państwa, ale staje się również elementem systemu bezpieczeństwa narodowego.
Russian aggression against Ukraine has significantly influenced many areas of international security. This influence did not bypass outer space, triggering certain trends related to its militarization. The paper deals with the nature of these tendencies and their transformation into the space militarization’s directions. Particular attention was paid to the interdependence of the militarization and commercialization of space. The key conclusion is the confirmation of the tendency – and to some extent even giving it an additional impulse – to incorporate solutions from the commercial sector into the process of space militarization. This phenomenon takes many forms, from the direct use of commercial systems for military purposes to the development of military systems inspired by solutions from the commercial market. On a general level, this leads to transformations in the perception of the concept of space power, in which commercial activity is not only a contribution to building the economic position of the state, but also becomes an element of the national security system.

Although regulatory standards, currently developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, anticipate a shift from VaR to ES, the evaluation of risk models currently remains based on the VaR measure. Motivated by the Basel regulations, we address the issue of VaR backtesting and contribute to the debate by exploring statistical properties of the exponential autoregressive conditional duration (EACD) VaR test. We show that, under the null, the tested parameter lies at the boundary of the parameter space, which can profoundly affect the accuracy of this test. To compensate for this deficiency, a mixture of chi-square distributions is applied. The resulting accuracy improvement allows for the omission of the Monte Carlo simulations used to implement the EACD VaR test in earlier studies, which dramatically improves the computational efficiency of the procedure. We demonstrate that the EACD approach to testing VaR has the potential to enhance statistical inference in most problematic cases - for small samples and for those close to the null.

The purpose of this paper is a multidimensional analysis of the problem of power in the film Matnia by Roman Polański. Using the ups and downs of three heroes as a starting point of the deliberations, the author proves that the effectiveness of power is not only in physical strength and the will to dominate but rather in the readiness to be subordinated. This readiness is generated in the heroes by such factors as vast and unprotected space of the castle, making of one of the main heroes – George – a female character, the failure of the institution of marriage (evidence of George’s wife’s unfaithfulness appears in the film), the powerlessness of language, which makes opposing the oppressor difficult, and finally omnipotence of the affect understood as a key to the interpretation of postmodern power structures.

Opis:
Waveforms measured and recorded in a ferroresonant circuit are the base for many computations, including simulation of ferroresonance circuit over - current/voltage responses and modelling a nonlinear coil. During such a study of ferroresonance phenomenon, the time dependent nonlinear differential equations are derived from R – Ψ(i) – C ferroresonant circuit. The system of nonlinear equations is numerically solved using various algorithm applications. In applied mathematics, in particular the context of the nonlinear dynamical systems analysis, phase – plane/space graphs are a visual display of certain characteristics of kinds of differential equations. The aim of the paper is a full plane/space presentation of all possible states of a test circuit when the ferroresonance occurs. Poincare maps application is also mentioned in the paper.

Autor niniejszego artykułu stawia sobie za cel analizę wpływu współczesnej transformacji przestrzeni oraz jej postrzegania na relacje władzy politycznej. Kontekst przestrzenny władzy sprowadza zarówno do jej korelatów materialnych, jak i niematerialnych, gdzie składają się na nią także konstrukty wytwarzane społecznie. W pierwszej kolejności przedmiotem analizy staje się więc wyróżnienie wzajemnych relacji między tak określonymi fenomenami. W dalszej części autor uwydatnia zjawisko dywersyfikacji źródeł władzy oraz analizuje jej dynamikę jako zasadniczą konsekwencję heterogenicznego charakteru przestrzeni. Na tej podstawie wyciąga wnioski teoretyczne, które mają stać się przydatne w badaniach empirycznych, a ponadto proponuje jeden z możliwych kierunków pożądanego organizowania władzy we współczesnych demokracjach.
The author of this article aims to analyze the impact of contemporary space transformation and its perception on the relations of political power. The spatial context of power reduces to its material and non-material correlates, where it is also composed of socially produced constructs. In the first place, the subject of the analysis is the distinction of mutual relations between such specific phenomena. In the following, the author emphasizes the phenomenon of diversifying the sources of power and analyzes its dynamics as a fundamental consequence of the heterogeneous character of space. On this basis, he draws theoretical conclusions that are to become useful in empirical research and proposes one of the possible directions for the desired organization of power in modern democracies.

In this article, the author using sketches of Russian culture, tries to understand, how institutions of power can function in the Russian province, and how they can be perceived by the society. The power is distributed unevenly, and this has a full effect on its deficit in relation to provincial political discourse. The Russian example is not an exception. From the author’s point of view, modern practices may have significant cultural grounds, hiding in a special relation to the province, which traditionally accompanied political discourse. The author sees this attitude in various sketches from the texts of Aleksandr Pushkin, Andrey Platonov, Anton Chekhov, Ivan Bunin and other Russian classics. The author’s interpretation of the problem required an appeal to the theoretical works of political philosophers, such as Giorgio Agamben, Albert Camus, Niklas Luhmann, Michel Foucault and Max Scheler. The author believes that in the space of the Russian province there is an objective deficit of institutions of power, which speaks, on the one hand, of a certain disregard for the province, and, on the other hand, testifies to the strength of resistance to local initiatives and legal nihilism that has become part of the political philosophy of the Russian provincial. In turn, the provision of a person to himself, affects a fairly critical attitude toward the political power. A person is not more capable of trusting the authorities and seeking support from them. His being increasingly assumes an existential character. The policy of the federal government in modern Russia gives rise to serious gaps between the center and the province, which can forms affect the specific perception of power itself, and also affects the formation of anarchic attitudes.
В данной статье автор пытается понять, как институты власти могут функционировать в условиях российской провинции и как они могут восприниматься обществом. Власть распределяется неравномерно, и это в полной мере сказывается на её дефиците применительно к провинциальному политическому дискурсу. Пример современной России не является исключением. Автор считает, что современные политические практики власти основываются на определённых культурных основаниях, объясняющихся особым отношением к провинции, которое традиционно присутствует в политическом дискурсе. Автор видит это отношение в различных сюжетах из текстов Александра Пушкина, Андрея Платонова, Антона Чехова, Ивана Бунина и других русских классиков. Авторская интерпретация проблемы потребовала обращения и к теоретическим работам политических философов, среди которых можно выделить Джорджо Агамбена, Альбера Камю, Никласа Лумана, Мишеля Фуко и Макса Шелера. Для автора важность подобного обращения была обусловлена тем фактом, что в центре отмеченных теоретических построений, так или иначе, присутствует проблема соотношения властии сопротивления. По мнению автора, в пространстве российской провинции существует объективный дефицит институтов власти, говорящий, с одной стороны, об определённом пренебрежении провинцией, а, с другой стороны, свидетельствующий о силе сопротивления инициативам власти на местах и правовом нигилизме, ставшем частью мировоззренческой философии российского провинциала. Представленность человека самому себе, влияет на достаточно критическое отношение к власти. Человек больше не способен доверять институтам власти и искать у них поддержки, что в полной мере раскрывается на примере современной российской провинции, наследующей традицию осторожного и нигилистического отношения к политическим институтам в собственной истории. Политика федеральной власти в современной России порождает серьёзные разрывы между центром и провинцией, что не может не сказываться на специфическом восприятии самой власти, а также влияет на формирование анархических установок.

Odpowiedzi na powyższe pytania pozwolą na weryfikację przyjętej hipotezy, która mówi, że podstawą współczesnej mocarstwowości Wielkiej Brytanii jest londyńskie City pełniące funkcję globalnego centrum finansowego. Odgrywa ono kluczową rolę w budowaniu przestrzeni geoekonomicznej.
The aim of the article is to analyze the condition of the UK economy with particular emphasis on the financial services sector and the role it plays in building the modern Great Britain’s position as a major power in the world The article constitutes an attempt to answer two main research questions: Is Great Britain an economic power of international importance, which thanks to the strength of its economy is able to shape geo-economic space? Is London, as the emanation of the British financial services sector, the pillar of the British geo-economic space? Answers to the above questions will allow us to verify the adopted hypothesis, which states that the basis of modern Great Britain’s position as a major power is London City acting as a global financial center. It plays a key role in building the geo-economic space.

Opis:
The paper presents the problems of human made space waste and discusses the threats they generate. The major hazards of this group of waste are collisions and the emission of chemical pollutants from radioisotope systems used to power artificial satellites and space missions. Activities that enhance the level of security in the Earth's orbital space and the legal aspects of space development are also analyzed.
W pracy przedstawiono problematykę odpadów kosmicznych wytworzonych przez człowieka oraz omówiono generowane przez nie zagrożenia. Do głównych niebezpieczeństw ze strony tej grupy odpadów zalicza się kolizje oraz emisję zanieczyszczeń chemicznych pochodzących z systemów radioizotopowych wykorzystywanych do zasilania sztucznych satelitów i misji kosmicznych. Przeanalizowane zostały także działania wzmacniające poziom bezpieczeństwa w przestrzeni orbitalnej Ziemi oraz aspekty prawne związane z zagospodarowaniem przestrzeni kosmicznej.

Opis:
The problems of the traction power supply system calculation are considered in the article. The authors proposed the space-time model, which is based on the analytical functions of the current- and voltage-drop distributions in the contact network. The usage of the proposed model is shown for the control law calculation both to stabilize the voltage at the pantographs of the electric rolling stocks and to reduce the power losses.

Opis:
The USSR disintegration has generated a new geopolitical and geostrategic situation for Russia. She was „pushed deep inside Eurasia”, which was perceived as something inadmissible for a country that has been playing a major role in international politics and in Europe for centuries. Claiming to be qualified as a great power, Russia aspires to regain the former status - the superpower. Successive enlargements of NATO and the EU to the east have pointed out the inconsistency of Russian policy. As Georgia and Ukraine have embraced the Euro-Atlantic vector and Moldova - the European one, then it was revealed that Russian interests derive from the main (unofficial) objectives of its foreign policy, but also of geostrategic interests – to maintain control over the former Soviet republics. In order to preserve its great power status, Russia needs to maintain its influence, including military presence in Moldova as an instrument of exerting political pressure.
