W pracy przedstawiono budowę i działanie oprogramowania wykorzystującego metodę elementów skończonych przeznaczonego do symulacji czujników elektrochemicznych na bazie elektrolitów stałych. Program pozwala na graficzne konstruowanie siatki, określanie warunków brzegowych oraz analizę uzyskiwanych wyników symulacji. Program został wykorzystany do określenia rozkładu potencjału zespolonego w spolaryzowanej strukturze czujnika zbudowanego na bazie cienkiej warstwy elektrolitu stałego.
Sensors modeling and simulation allow better understanding of the principle of sensor operation. As a result, optimisation of sensor construction and working conditions is possible without costly and time consuming technological investigations. Equations describing operation of electrochemical sensors are usually complex and have form of differential equations which ,generally, cannot be solved in an analytical way. Hence, there is the need to utilize numerical methods to solve equations characterising sensors. The paper presents construction and operation of the software for simulation of electrochemical sensors based on solid electrolytes. The software was developed with use of the finite element method. The program Visual C++ was used for implementation. The developed program allows arranging the graphical grid geometry, defining the boundary conditions and analyzing the obtained simulation results. The program was used for determining the complex potential distribution in the polarised structure of the sensor built on the basis of a solid electrolyte thin layer. Exemplary simulations show that an asymmetry in the position of electrodes as in Figure 2 can lead to large inaccuracies in determining the electrode overvoltage. The results do not differ from the results of similar studies presented in [6]. It is possible to obtain impedance spectra of simulated structures. - Źródło:
