Opis:
The aim of this study is to determine the effects of insect net placed on ventilation openings in greenhouses on temperature, humidity and radiation energy from indoor conditions. In addition, the effects of insect net on the agents used in biological control have been tried to be determined. The study was carried out between November 2017 and May 2018 in Kumluca district of Antalya in 2 glass and 2 plastic greenhouses. Greenhouses; the glass greenhouse without insect net (GCG), the glass greenhouse with insect net (GNG), the plastic greenhouse without insect net (PCG), the plastic greenhouse with insect net (PNG) is named as. Temperature, humidity and solar radiation values were measured in greenhouses. According to the results of the research; It was determined that the recommended temperature values for pepper development are only suitable in January and well below the recommended values in February. In other production months, the average temperature values of with insect net greenhouses (PNG-GNG) used in ventilation openings were found to be higher than without insect net greenhouses (PCG-GCG). When the results of relative humidity values were examined, it was observed that the use of insect tulle in the greenhouses was lower than the control greenhouses. It was determined that the solar radiation values were lower than the control greenhouses (PCG-GCG) of the insect tulle greenhouses (PNGGNG) in other months except January and May. Therefore, we can say that the use of insect net reduces the amount of solar radiation. Accord ing to the results of temperature values; the growth of Orius Leavigatus and Amblyseius swirski, one of the biological agents and resistant to high temperatures, was observed to slow down in all other months except February. For Phytoseiulus persimilis (30°C and above), we can say that this is a suitable environment and that the eggs have emerged in a shorter time. The most suitable average temperature for the development of Aphidius colemani was reached only in January. In other months, the development of this agent slows down, parasitic insecticides can be said to decrease the rate of parasitoids. As a result; It was determined that the temperature values were higher in the greenhouses where insect net was used and the solar radiation values were lower than the control greenhouses. However, since the use of insect net causes the temperature in the greenhouse to increase, it may create a positive development for some bio agents. It is thought that producers using insect net should make production considering these negativities in temperature and solar radiation.

A class first Pyranometer was used to measure the direct solar irradiation and the obtained results were analyzed. Separate sensors were used to measure the relative humidity and the atmospheric temperature (RH/AT sensors). The measurements were conducted for the whole year of 2013. The author analyzed the collected solar data during one day, month, and year. The maximum, minimum, average, and accumulative solar irradiation (SR) were calculated and analyzed with connection to relative humidity and atmospheric temperature. The author found that April was characterized by the average maximum solar irradiation (SR= 1112±1W/m2), May had the maximum SR accumulation (13276552± 1W/m2). The maximum average percentage relative humidity found in July (% RH = 97± 3%), while the minimum average % RH is in December (% RH = 25± 3%). In May, the maximum average atmospheric temperature was 36.0 ± 0.6°C, while the average minimum was in January (AT= 19.1 ± 0.6°C). The total accumulation of solar flux during the year 2013 is 222 ± 1MW/m2.

One of the main parameters that affect the solar cell performance is cell temperature; the solar cell output decreases with the increase of temperature. Therefore, it is important to select the proper solar cell technology that performs better at a specified location considering its average temperatures. In addition, the solar cell performance is directly reflected on the overall economics of the project. This paper is proposed to evaluate the variations in the performance of different solar cell technologies related to the temperature in Amman, Jordan. Field data of weather station and three PV systems (Poly-crystalline, Mono-crystalline and Thin-film) of identical design parameters were collected from Test Field Project at Applied Science Private University, Shafa Badran, Amman, Jordan. These data were analysed in the following way. estimated specific energy yield (kWh/kWp) for the three different PV systems was calculated depending on the measured value of solar irradiance and technical specifications of the installed solar panels and inverters, then the actual energy yield at different temperatures over one year was compared with the estimated value, so the deviations could be determined and actual temperature coefficients for energy yield could be calculated, knowing that the three PV Systems have identical design parameters (tilt angle, azimuth angle, type and dimensions of mounting structure and inverter size) and same cleaning method and schedule. It was found that the thin-film solar panels are less affected by temperature with temperature coefficient of -0.0984%, and -0.109%, -0.124% for Mono-crystalline and Poly-crystalline respectively. These results can be implemented in the preliminary design steps, specifically in the selection of the solar cell technology to be installed in a specific location.

The article presents an analysis of the impact of solar radiation on the temperature changes in the external three-layer partition of a smart building. Data for analysis were taken from temperature sensors located in individual layers of the wall and from a weather station on the roof of a building. The data were recorded 24 h in 5- and 15-minute intervals. The analysis period was one month in a winter season. The purpose of the analysis was to determine the correlation between the solar radiation measured as the illuminance and the temperature inside the wall. In the analysed period of one month the correlation was very weak. Also, considering only the illuminance over 10,000 lx, the correlation was noticeable, but still very weak. The use of innovative fiber optic technology with fibre Bragg grating was proposed to avoid incorrect measurements.

Bioaerosols are particularly sensitive to sterilization processes due to their biological characteristics. Phenomena occurring in the atmosphere have major influence on airborne bacteria and fungi concentration levels. The presented study evaluates the sterilization properties of ambient air temperature and solar radiation on viable bioaerosols concentration levels in outdoor air in Gliwice, Poland. Assigned were the breakpoints indicating limited stimulation properties of the air temperature, which amounted 7.5 °C for bacterial aerosol and 16.5 °C for fungal aerosol. Also revealed was the influence of solar radiation properties on decreasing the bioaerosols concentration levels. Both bacterial and fungal viable aerosol were sensitive to this radiation, although the phenomenon was more effective for airborne bacteria.

Opis:
The advancing warming of Earth climate has largely been influenced by natural causes, i.e. increased Solar activity and decreasing volcanic activity on Earth. It still remains unknown which part of the warming process results from the increased amount of Solar energy reaching Earth surface, and which is being caused by the anthropogenic part of atmosphere's greenhouse effect. The facts speaking in favour of natural factors include synchronic changes of mean air temperature on the Northern hemisphere between 1856 - 2002, mean consecutive 11-year Wolf numbers, and the location of mass centres of the four biggest planets in our Solar system. The theory of natural causes of climate warming is also backed by synchronic changes in carbon dioxide concentration and paleotemperature within the last 160,000 years and 450,000 years, recreated based Antarctica ice cores. Warmings occur every 100,000 years. They are triggered by increased Solar radiation in large geographic latitudes resulting from changes in Earth orbit and Earth axis slant (according to the already accepted Milankovic theory). “Parallelism” of changes in CO2 concentration and paleotemperture shows that the atmospheric content of carbon dioxide is shaped by the amount of Solar radiation reaching Earth - through shifts in ocean waters temperature. It is more credible to claim that “CO2 concentration in atmosphere rises along with the amount of Solar radiation reaching Earth surface (i.e. when it is warmer).”

Opis:
The analysis of the observed 30 years data that include the monthly precipitation, wind speed and solar radiation from Maiduguri, Abuja, Ikeja and Port Harcourt is done to estimate the approximate shift in the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) mean position over Nigeria. The data are separated into three decades (1981-1990, 1991-2000 and 2001-2010) and their monthly mean values are compared with each other and with the corresponding magnitudes over the whole period (1981-2010). The results indicate that the overall precipitation increases southward across the country while the annual mean intensity rises over the decades in all the selected locations. Using the extreme decades, the magnitude of the rainfall in 2001-2010 is higher than the corresponding values in 1981-1990 by 20.84 mm, 9.87 mm, 18.40 mm and 6.89 mm in Maiduguri, Abuja, Ikeja (Lagos) and Port Harcourt respectively. Further investigation in all the locations showed periods of elevated monthly rainfall in the recent decades than other periods; the magnitudes compared to 1981-1990 are between 48.6mm-78.4mm which are much higher than the annual mean intensities while few months with very low rainfall are observed in Abuja and Port Harcourt. As expected, reverse pattern is seen in the wind speed which is generally lower in 2001-2010 than in 1981-1990. The rising magnitude of the precipitation over the decades imply that the ITCZ must have been shifting slightly over the periods to a more northern extreme in 2001-2010, causing northward spread of the rainfall which raises the overall intensity of the rainfall across Nigeria. A persistent northward shift in the ITCZ position with increasing magnitude of the associated rainfall could raise the current severity of soil erosion, frequency of flooding that might cause severe damages and paralyze businesses in Nigeria under such a future climate change. Hence, availability of data with advance technology for studying fluctuations in the ITCZ position might improve weather forecast that could favour farm yield and save lives and properties as climate changes in the future.

Dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) shows great promise as an alternative to conventional p-n junction solar cells due to their low fabrication cost and reasonably high efficiency. DSSC was assembled by using natural dye extracted from red amaranth (Amaranthus Gangeticus) as a sensitizer and different catalysts for counter electrode were applied for maximum energy conversion efficiency. Annealing temperature and thickness of electrode were also investigated and optimized. Catalyst, annealing temperature and thickness were optimized by the determination of cell performance considering photoelectrochemical output and measuring current and voltage; then calculating efficiency and other electrical parameters. The experimental results indicated that samples having 40 μm electrode thickness and prepared at 450 o C annealing temperature showed the best performance.

Opis:
The paper describes tendencies in changes of air temperature in Poland and Ukraine on the basis of a long series of measurements made in Warsaw (1779-2000), Cracow (1826-2000), Lviv (1824-2002) and Kiev (1812-2002). Air temperature in these cities in the years 1825-2002 is positively correlated with the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) Index. Values of the r correlation coefficient are much higher in winter months than during the summer and they decrease with distance from the Atlantic Ocean. Of interest are air temperature changes in Warsaw, Cracow, Lviv and Kiev in the XIXth -XXth centuries together with forecasts until the year 2100. Significant dependence of the climate of Poland and Ukraine on the NAO index stems from similar temperature cycles and the eight-year, eleven-year and one-hundred-year NAO index. Forecast credibility results from the similar periodicity of air temperature, the NAO index and solar activity. The forecast mean annual temperature values for 2001-2100 were obtained from the interference of statistically important temperature cycles, determined by the sinusoidal regression method.
