soil preparing - Opis:
- In the similar soil and climate conditions, the tended and non−tended Scots pine undergrowth of natural origin was equal to the thicket of the same age in terms of the usefulness for cultivation. The non−tended natural regeneration of pine showed the statistically significantly highest mean values of diameter at breast height, height and current annual height increment in comparison with the tended natural and artificial regeneration. The comparison of the morphological parameters of six year old pine seedlings did not reveal statistically significant differences between the soil preparing with the double mould board plough (LPz−75) or the rotary plough. The more frequent silvicultural use of Scots pine natural regeneration, which locally exceeds the artificial regeneration in terms of growth traits and vitality, can diminish the risk of damage to pine stands resulting from suddenly occurring changes in site conditions.
