Goal – an analysis of the legal and organizational basis for recreation of children in difficult life situations based on the example set by the city of Moscow. The analysis includes suggestions for improving public administration in this area. Research methodology – in this paper, the author used an analysis of regulatory documents, reports from the social recreation travel company “Mosgortur”, content analysis of complaints from “Mosgortur’s” clients, and an expert survey. Score/results – the author identified problems in organizing recreation for children in difficult life situations in Moscow and instructions for solving those problems. Originality/value – researching the research of the organization of children’s social recreation at the regional level, and an identification of organizational and regulatory problems.

Continuity of communication in companies seems to be the most significant factor in managing an organisation and in forming its external image. It can be clearly visible during a crisis situation when the process of forming and distributing information is of considerable significance; moreover, the way of managing communication translates directly into results. The main goal of this article is to present communication management in a crisis situation as a conscious tool supporting managing processes in an organisation. Crisis and communication definitions are explained together with their components. Communication barriers limiting its proper and efficient management have been described along with preparations to build a well thought-out communication plan.

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy próby identyfikacji i charakterystyki innowacyjnego projektu z Dolnego Śląska współfinansowanego z UE, który posiada największy potencjał rozwojowy w skali ogólnokrajowej do powiadamiania mieszkańców w sytuacjach kryzysowych. Do badań wybrano projekty e-usług dofinansowane z Programu Operacyjnego Innowacyjna Gospodarka 2007 – 2013 działania 8.1 w liczbie 1600 projektów. Badaniu podlegało 65 projektów z Dolnego Śląska. Każdy z analizowanych projektów związany był z rozwojem sektora e-usług w Polsce. W artykule zawarto podsumowanie w postaci najważniejszych wniosków płynących z przeprowadzonego badania.
SISMS Sp. z o. o. offers an innovative collective communication service between a local government, emergency services and residents using text messaging. This is one of the world's fastest communication systems of a large number of text messages to citizens. In a few seconds mobile users of SISMS receive crucial information. It seems that the SMS collective communication service has a great future ahead and great potential for development. This potential affects not only the growing demand for traditional communication, but also for communication in emergencies. The system passed a test during the last flood in 2010. It was used by emergency services in Poznań, Brzeg Dolny, Jelcz-Laskowice and dozens of local governments in several provinces. The study also indicates several barriers in decisions about purchasing the system, which include: - little belief in new technologies; - associating a text message from the community with an advertising SMS from a TV station; - no awareness that it is an important asset in an emergency situation to have an upto- date information; - no funding to purchase and maintain the system, which seems to be unreasonable by comparing the low cost of purchasing the system from the municipal budget and the benefits it offers to residents and the community.

W obrębie rozmaitych typologii kryzysów znajduje się każdorazowo obszar szczególnie wrażliwy na budowanie lub burzenie wizerunku. Jest to tzw. kryzys komunikacyjny, wywołany przez plotki, pogłoski, zniekształcenia informacji, nieprzychylne informacje prasowe, rozpowszechnianie informacji wyjętych z kontekstu, skandale wynikające z nieodpowiedniego zachowania, kłamstwa, ujawnianie mrocznych tajemnic z przeszłości, wrogie kampanie reklamowe, naruszenia praw autorskich, utratę danych, fałszerstwo, fałszywe pogłoski, a nawet zwykłe zainteresowanie mediów w sytuacji, gdy organizacja ma kłopoty finansowe, prawne czy organizacyjne - choćby przejściowe. Każdy z kryzysów jest inny, ma inny czas, miejsce, bohaterów i kontekst. Obowiązuje jednak pewien zestaw zasad dobrze opisanych w literaturze public relations; powinien być on w sytuacji kryzysowej akceptowany i stosowany przez służby prasowe i promocyjne działające na uczelni, jeśli to ona jest miejscem takich wydarzeń. Nie ma oczywiście gwarancji skuteczności, ale procent korzystnych scenariuszy przy stosowaniu się do owego zestawu zasad jest znacząco wyższy niż przy ich ignorowaniu. Szanse rosną jeszcze bardziej, jeśli w całym kierownictwie uczelni jest zachowany konsens co do wybranych form wychodzenia z kryzysu.
The aim of this article is to present some examples of communication crisis situations that have happened at Polish universities during passing last ten years. All presented cases are divided in groups showing signs of some similarities. Such approach may be helpful as a tool used by university press officers in their daily routines; can be develop in research on crisis in organization as well.

Artykuł przedstawia sposoby i standardy przesyłania informacji w jednostkach samorządu terytorialnego, szczególnie w przypadku sytuacji kryzysowych. Proponowana jest takze analiza tych czynników, które ułatwiają danej organizacji zmierzenie się z sytuacją ekstremalną. Główny nacisk analizy położony jest na public relations jako na narzędzie niespontanicznej metody prezentacji informacji o danym wydarzeniu lub sytuacji. Przedstawiono i szczegółowo omówiono stosowane przez władze poszczególnych urzędów narzędzia komunikacji; jak również dane o opinii pracowników wobec tychże, a także przyczyny negatywnych ocen. Artykuł przedstawia i poddaje ocenie relacje urzędów z mediami.
The article presents the methods and standards of sharing information within local government units, particularly in the case of emergency situations. It puts forward an analysis of the factors that make it easier for a given local government unit to face an emergency situation. The core analysis deals with public relations as a tool of a non-spontaneous method of presenting information about a particular event or situation. The article also presents and discusses in detail those communication tools that are used by individual units, as well as employees’ opinions about them, along with the reasons for negative comments. Finally, the article presents and estimates the relations of local government units with the media.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the contribution of self-esteem and locus of control in generating in the youth an aggressive coping strategy in a social conflict situation. The study made use of a proprietary questionnaire to study the coping strategy of youth in a social conflict situation (KSMK), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES), and the questionnaire to Study the Locus of Control (KBPK) created by G. Krasowicz and A. Kurzyp-Wojnarska. Empirical studies were carried out in junior high schools [Polish: gimnazjum] in Wroclaw and the surrounding area. They involved 811 adolescents (414 girls and 397 boys) aged 13 – 15. In the light of the performed studies it was stated that low general selfesteem in youth and strong belief in the influence of others on positive or negative effects of events play a particular role in the choice of aggressive strategy of young people to cope in a social confl ictsituation.

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken the whole world by surprise and has affected all sections of society. One of them are entrepreneurs whose crisis affects themselves, the people they employ, and the economy in general. The article presents how entrepreneurs use their resources in the form of social contacts, coping with the difficulties of the crisis. It also presents the role of business organizations and the relationships they create in the face of a pandemic. How drawing support from relationships that were established against the backdrop of community activity has proved to be of great importance in the face of the pandemic. The publication discusses such issues as: the features of the crisis, the role of the organization in supporting entrepreneurs, the influence of relations on coping with the crisis, and manifestations of trust in a group. The results of the research collected qualitatively in the form of the participants’ written statements show how, in times of a pandemic, they show the sense of support obtained from people in a similar situation. They present what makes entrepreneurs, despite the difficulties related to the crisis, not only able to protect themselves against collapse, but also to develop their companies?
Pandemia COVID-19 zaskoczyła cały świat i dotknęła wszystkie grupy społeczne. Jedną z nich są przedsiębiorcy, których kryzys dotyczy jednocześnie ich samych, zatrudnianych przez nich osób, jak i gospodarki w ogóle. Artykuł przedstawia, w jaki sposób przedsiębiorcy wykorzystują posiadane zasoby w postaci kontaktów społecznych, radząc sobie z trudnościami doby kryzysu. Prezentuje też, jaką rolę odgrywają w obliczu pandemii organizacje biznesowe i tworzone tam relacje. W publikacji omówiono takie zagadnienia jak: cechy kryzysu, rola organizacji we wsparciu przedsiębiorców, wpływ relacji na radzenie sobie z kryzysem, przejawy zaufania w grupie. Wyniki badań zgromadzonych metodą jakościową w formie pisemnych wypowiedzi uczestników przybliżają, jak w dobie pandemii objawia się u nich poczucie wsparcia uzyskane od osób będących w podobnej sytuacji. Prezentują, co takiego sprawia, że przedsiębiorcy pomimo trudności związanych z kryzysem są w stanie nie tylko chronić przed upadkiem, ale i rozwijać swoje firmy.

Prezentowany artykuł stanowi refleksję nad przeprowadzonymi przeze mnie badaniami uczestniczącymi, których usytuowanie w orientacji interpretatywnej stwarza szansę poznania perspektywy uczestników (w tym przypadku osób bezdomnych). Rekonstrukcja procesu stowarzyszania się ujawnia trzy fazy: dochodzenia do stowarzyszenia, (od)budowania oraz (prze)trwania, wewnętrznie różnicujące się na kolejne subfazy. Fazy te obrazują wygenerowaną w badaniu teorię dotyczącą ciągłości biograficznej stowarzyszenia. Moje badanie pokazuje mechanizmy stygmatyzacji zarówno w interakcjach między bezdomnymi a „domnymi”, jak i wyłącznie między bezdomnymi (ujawniając relacyjny charakter piętna). Jednocześnie badanie ujawnia dwojakie rozumienie kontekstu mieszanych sytuacji społecznych (Goffman 2005): pierwsze zakłada powoływanie kontekstu w przebiegu interakcji; drugie istnieje poza interakcją jako ciągłe budowanie strategii przed podjęciem działania. Poszukując prawidłowości w przebiegu procesu, posłużyłam się koncepcją pracy nad piętnem E. Goffmana (2005), uszczegóławiając ją o konkretne taktyki, wpisując w szersze wygenerowane kategorie obrazujące rodzaje podejmowanej pracy.
The presented paper is a reflection on the participative research conducted by me, whose location in the interpretative orientation provides an opportunity to get to know the perspective of the participants (in this case, the homeless). The reconstruction of the process of getting associated reveals three phases: approaching the act of getting associated, (re)building, and surviving, internally differentiating into other subphases. These phases illustrate the theory on the biographical continuity of associations generated in the study. My research highlights the mechanism of stigmatization, both in the interactions between the homeless and the „home-full”; and also solely among the homeless (revealing the relational nature of the stigma). At the same time, the study unveils the twofold understanding of the context of mixed social situations (Goffman 2005): the first involves making the reference to the context in the course of the interaction; the second exists outside the interaction as continuous building of strategy before taking action. Looking for patterns in the process, I used the concept of working on the stigma coined by E. Goffman (2005), and made it more detailed thanks to the consideration of specific tactics and fitting it into broader generated categories illustrating the types of work undertaken.

Nieodłącznym elementem życia są sytuacje kryzysowe wymagające wsparcia społecznego. Ze względu na funkcjonujące stereotypy czy postawy społeczne jego potrzeba może wzrastać u osób, które charakteryzują się „innością”. Przeprowadzone badania objęły 108 osób o orientacji homoseksualnej, która w naszym społeczeństwie stanowi mniejszość. Badania zostały przeprowadzone za pomocą autorskiego kwestionariusza ankiety, a ich celem było określenie poszukiwania oraz otrzymania wsparcia w internecie, biorąc pod uwagę różne sytuacje mogące wymagać wsparcia społecznego i jego rodzaje. W celu zebrania materiału badawczego wykorzystano metodę kuli śnieżnej. Wyniki badań ukazują, że internet stanowi źródło poszukiwania wsparcia przez osoby o orientacji homoseksualnej, szczególnie w przypadku problemów zdrowotnych, rozpadu związku i problemów natury psychicznej (m.in. depresji). Poszukują oni i zarazem deklarują otrzymanie w przestrzeni wirtualnej przede wszystkim wsparcia informacyjnego.
Crisis situations that require social support are an inseparable element of life. Due to the functioning stereotypes and social attitudes, the need for it may increase in people who are “different”. The conducted research included 108 people of homosexual orientation, who constitute a minority in our society. The research was carried out using the proprietary questionnaire, and its purpose was to determine the search for and receipt of support on the Internet, taking into account various situations that may require social support and its types. In order to collect the research material, the snowball method was used. The results of the research show that the Internet is a source of seeking support by homosexual people, especially in the case of health problems, relationship breakdown and mental problems (including depression). Opis:
Celem artykułu jest określenie zależności pomiędzy oceną poznawczą a wyborem strategii obronnych (agresja, unik) i strategii zadaniowej stosowanych przez młodzież w trudnych sytuacjach społecznych. W badaniach posłużono się własnym (autorskim) kwestionariuszem do badania radzenia sobie młodzieży w trudnych sytuacjach społecznych ( KNO) oraz Kwestionariuszem Oceny Stresu ( KOS) autorstwa K. Wrześniewskiego, A. Jakubowskiej-Winieckiej i D. Włodarczyk. Badania empiryczne prowadzone były w szkołach gimnazjalnych województwa dolnośląskiego. Objęły 300 gimnazjalistów (150 chłopców, 150 dziewcząt) w wieku 13 –15 lat. W świetle przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że ocena poznawcza (w kategoriach wyzwania, krzywdy/straty i zagrożenia) determinuje stosowanie obronnych (agresja/unik) i zadaniowych sposobów reagowania młodzieży w sytuacjach społecznie trudnych.
The aim of the following article is to establish the relation between cognitive appraisal and the selection of defence strategy (aggression, evasion) and task-based strategy applied by the youth in difficult social situations. In the research process two questionnaires were in use, one questionnaire of my own which was designed to learn how the youth copes with difficult social situations ( kNO) and the other named The Stress Evaluation Questionnaire ( kOS) by Wrześniewski, Jakubowska-Winnicka and Włodarczyk. Empirical research was conducted in junior high schools of the Lower Silesia region. It covered 300 junior high school students (150 boys and 150 girls) at the ages between 13-15. In the light of the carried out research it was concluded that cognitive appraisal in the categories of challenge, injury/loss and threat determine the selection of defensive (aggression/evasion) and task-based ways of students reacting to difficult social situations.

The article presents the results of a study on individual psychological traits of the personality of stuttering adolescents in problematic speech situations, the participants' characteristics are given, and self-assessment of stutterers is considered as a factor contributing to the improvement of correctional and pedagogical interventions and successful social adaptation of adolescents.
