Aim The subject of this work are contemporary methods of designing public space based on cooperation with city users. At present, authorities of the cities attempt to involve citizens in the process of architectural change. The key component of the series of research are designing processes composed of various social consultations, architectural workshops and competitions, in which the resident's need to shape the city is visible and evident. Methods The author of article will indicate varied methods of designing public space involving citizens, based on experiences of Warsaw (Poland), and conducted analysis of design processes and results. Results and Conclusion Architecture is a reflection of political and economic situation but is also a reflection of citizens way of living. The gap between city users and professionals might be filled with social cooperation process. The residents knowledge of the space is essential to build and transform the cities in a way to fulfill the user’s needs and requirements.

Cultural and social cooperation among nations lived in East and Central Europe has been sprung up over many centuries. In the 20th century, the nations of the part of Europe were subjected to an attempt to standardize their national cultures by means of introducing the socialist realistic culture. At present the message of cultural cooperation is social and cultural integration. Relations between Poland and Lithuania can be an example for development of cooperation among the other countries of Central and Eastern Europe on the state and regional levels, as well as example for educational institutions and economic associations, the connected relations may become germs of cooperation and good-neighbourly relationship as well as in the perspective of social development of the region among the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea.
Współpraca kulturalna i społeczna między narodami z Europy Środkowowschodniej kształtowała się przez wiele stuleci. W XX wieku narody tej części Europy zostały poddane próbie ujednolicenia kultur narodowych poprzez wprowadzenie kultury socrealistycznej. Przesłaniem współpracy kulturalnej jest integracja społeczno-kulturowa. Stosunki między Polską i Litwą wypracowane w cięgu ostatnich 15 lat mogą być przykładem rozwoju współpracy pomiędzy innymi krajami Europy na poziomie państwowym i regionalnym, jak również dla obudzenia inicjatywy obywatelskiej. Nawiązywane kontakty mogą stać się zalążkiem współpracy i stosunków dobrosąsiedzkich, a w perspektywie rozwoju społecznego regionu pomiędzy Bałtykiem, Adriatykiem i Morzem Czarnym.

This article is an attempt to analyze and interpretation of position of the representatives of the Austrian School versus importance and the role of the individual and the social cooperation in the development of the civilization. The aim of this article is examined, according to the representatives of the Austrian School, that the individuals and the social cooperation have influence on the development of the wealth of the society and increase of human liberty and also guarantee of peaceful cooperation between humans. Author focus on political thought of the representatives of the Austrian School in the persons like Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Butler Shaffer or Thomas DiLorenzo. Article show that in opinions of the representatives of the Austrian School social institutions like property rights, personal freedom, social cooperation or free market are products of Western Civilization. In the text discuss will be belief that bad ideas are main causes of destructions of civilizations. Author used an interpretative approach and context analysis.
Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą analizy i interpretacji stanowiska reprezentantów Szkoły Austriackiej wobec znaczenia i roli jednostki oraz społecznej kooperacji w rozwoju cywilizacji. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie, czy i jak według reprezentantów Szkoły Austriackiej jednostki i społeczna kooperacja miały wpływ na rozwój cywilizacji, dając podstawy zwiększenia dobrobytu społeczeństwa oraz rozszerzenia ludzkiej wolności, zapewniając pokojowe relacje między ludźmi. Autor skupi się na myśli politycznej autorstwa reprezentantów Austriackiej Szkoły Ekonomicznej w osobach Ludwiga von Misesa, Murraya Rothbarda, Butlera Shaffera czy Thomasa DiLorenzo. Artykuł wykaże, że według reprezentantów instytucje społeczne, takie jak: prawa własności, wolność jednostek, społeczna kooperacja czy wolny rynek, są dorobkiem cywilizacji zachodniej. Omówiony zostanie także pogląd, dlaczego złe idee są główną przyczyną niszczenia cywilizacji. Autor posłużył się podejściem interpretatywnym i analizą treści.

The present research aimed to examine staffs' empowerment with the increased degree of social entrepreneurship opportunities in the General bureau of Cooperation, Labor, and Social Welfare, Province of Kurdistan, in March, 2016. This research is applied in terms of nature and falls under correlational-descriptive studies. The statistical population consists of all managers and staffs of the general bureau in the city of Sanandaj where as many as 150 people were placed under study through random classified sampling method. Research tools were comprised of two Empowerment and Social Entrepreneurship Questionnaires whose content validity was confirmed by experts and the reliability of general dimensions and tools was confirmed by the Alpha of 0.51 to 0.78. Data analysis was conducted through Spearman correlational Tests and Concurrent regression. Research findings revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between all dimensions of empowerment (dimension of self-efficacy feeling; sense of being meaningful; sense of being effective; feeling of merit; freedom of action and social trust) with social entrepreneurship in the General bureau of Cooperation, Labor, and Social Welfare, Province of Kurdistan. Regression results also suggested that overall empowerment and its dimensions were appropriate predictors for the variable of social entrepreneurship. Consequently, dimensions of self-efficacy feeling, feeling of being effective, feeling of meaningfulness and social trust in the variable of empowerment hold a significant role in anticipating social entrepreneurship of staffs.

Every innovation has social dimension, because it engages social players and its users (societies) at time of forming. Innovations are inscribed into social change. “We cannot think separately about innovations (items, artefacts) and people. They are coupled with each other, and innovation does not have any objective power for changing common activities and effects, unless it is told in an attracting manner, it is explained, introduced into use” (Giza – Poleszczuk 2013, p. 70). Without philosophical and humanistic study on learning the directions of development for contemporary society, we would not be capable for proper assessment or even description of social and cultural changes in larger extent, in which innovation is only small fragment, but simultaneously a significant one. (cf. Beck 2002; Castells 2008; Florida 2010; Giddens 2001) (after Bukowski A., Rudnicki S., Strycharz J., 2012, p. 19). The papers cover the areas, such as social change, new innovation features and society’s openness to innovation.

To reveal the company’s social policy publicly – in the form of certificates, indices or reports – occurs more and more often in the corporate practice and communication. The year 2011 has a special role among the campaign of the European Union since 1983. This year the main focus is on voluntariness, which is one of the principles of the European Union, the aim is to draw the attention of the European people to the significance of voluntariness. The advantage of the companies’ voluntary programme is that through the internal communication a more effective cooperation can be ensured among the employees and nonbusiness. So more and more companies feel the need of the CSR activities, with which they can create competitive advantage for themselves. The research focuses on the nonbusiness group, and examines its relationships and cooperation with other organizations and groups. The aim of the research carried out in Hungary is to discover and unveil the aims and motivations of the above mentioned segments, and whether the opposing parties, in economic sense, are able to cooperate for one goal in the interest of the community and environment. The research raises the following questions: What kind of donations is offered from the businesses and from the civil people? Do they comply with the expectation and necessities of the nonbusiness? Is their cooperation useful? Are they able to solve their problems, to communicate effectively? The results of the research showed similarities with the literature, i.e.: the influencing factors of CSR are the effective communication, the realized cost and benefits for the donor, the empathy, the norm system of the individual and the expectation of the society. The importance of CSR appears at more and more forums (CSR market, corporate PR etc.). However, to be able to speak of appropriate CSR that is already built-in the value system of the individuals – especially from the viewpoint of society, ecological and economic sustainability – Hungary has a long way to go as there is still a great lack of empathy, internal motivation and social sensitivity, which can only be inherited through culture. Communication forms the base of offering assistance, as without it the realization of needs is not possible. The sceptics often accuse the companies that the CSR practice from their part is nothing else only PR activity, however, it was proven by the present research that the donor companies do not require publicity.

The paper attempts to search for arguments justifying an educational strategy aiming at preventing a social exclusion of the disabled by building social capital. The research review shows that people with some disabilities present a low level of social participation, which indicates a fragile nature of social capital among members of this group. Therefore, it was assumed that a significant form of preventing social exclusion can be education that aims at developing social skills and the ability to cooperate of the disabled. Activating the resources of social capital and benefiting from them requires from people to cooperate and act in a coordinated manner.

Motivation: Labor market in Poland has been affected by many institutional factors. One of them is social capital, which can be an advantage for its development It influences the ability among the market entities to cooperate with each other and to create their competitiveness on the market. The lack of social capital causes many disadvantages like the lack of ability to cooperate between different actors. That is why strong social capital is a challenge to build long term relations on the labor market. Low social capital or its lack is a barrier in country?s development, weakens the markets, makes the markets impossible to improve in quality. On the basis of the above premises the main hypothesis of the paper claims, that the main barrier which limits the ability among different actors to create social capital on labor market in Poland is low level of trust to each other. Aim: The main cognitive aim of this article is to describe the conducted primary research and identify determinants, especially threats and barriers on labor market in Poland in the points of views of different participants who take part in interactions with the other actors on the labor market (entrepreneurs, employees, employers). Materials and methods: The research had a character of preliminary study. The main research methods used in this article include desk research and primary research with Individual In-Depth Interviews (IDI method) which were conducted among Polish entrepreneurs from March till June 2018 and from October till January 2019. Results: The Respondents, who took part in the research underlined the importance of cooperation and social capital, but they also mentioned about barriers which reduce the level of cooperation and ability to create social capital.

The presented study is an attempt to indicate the impact of the concept of multilevel-governance (multi-level governance), well-established in the provisions related to the planning and implementation of the EU policies, with a view to developing forms of cooperation between public administration and its environment. This can be observed in the field of regulations relating to preparation of a contract partnership and creation of strategies and programs connected with the implementation of cohesion and development policy, which was adopted within the European Union. They precisely determine transformation of the Polish law in this area in the direction of adapting it to the EU law, and thus, influence the intensity of forms of cooperation as well between administrative bodies as social and economic partners. This, in turn, results in the intensification of network type connections in the vertical and horizontal planes that reveal new organizational and legal forms in the preparation and implementation phases of development tasks at the national, regional and local levels.

Social assistance is constantly creating a reality. It is conditioned as the current policy of the country, its economic opportunities and social needs. One of the basic dimensions of the social assistance system in Poland, is working for the benefit of the family. The quantity and quality of the tasks facing the social worker in the field of work with the family by far exceeds its real potential. This is the primary cause for which a social worker should look for allies among the professionals in other ministries. This kind of specialist is a school educator whose tasks and responsibilities are similar, and in some areas completely overlap with the tasks of social worker. Taking advantage of the opportunities arising from these two distinct professional functions, on the basis of synergies, more effective actions can be taken for the diagnosis of family environment and its support for the basic functions of parental leave.

Global cultural exchange is a well-known, boundless phenomenon. Therefore, it is fundamental for countries to promote mutual understanding and tolerance of cultural diversity, to prevent stigmatization and social hermetization from migrant backgrounds, and to foster social inclusion, thus fulfilling the assumptions of sustainable development. Polish society is considered to be relatively homogenous in terms of culture, however, the increasing influx of immigrants, especially from Eastern Europe, poses a new challenge for its national schooling system and multicultural education. That is why the aim of the article was to verify the state of preparation of Polish schools for multicultural education, mutual attitudes of the participants of the educational process, and the relationships between them, as well as to indicate dependency between parents, students, and teachers. The article presents the results of quantitative research carried out in a group of early childhood education teachers from border regions. The results of the conducted research showed the state of intercultural education in Polish schools before the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The study is barely the attempt of monitoring the condition of intercultural education, especially in the current “new multicultural reality” in Polish schools.

This article tracks the definitional debates on social capital to demonstrate the many-sided nature of it. Referring to the relational nature of social capital, this paper regards it as an output of cross-border cooperation. The basis of social capital is social interaction, and cross-border cooperation facilitates and reinforces it in equal measure across national borders. Therefore, this article considers cross-border cooperation as one way to generate formal/informal, linking, bonding, bridging, transnational and other varieties of social capital.
