    Opis:
    The methods of irreversible thermomechanics and functional analysis are used to formulate the mathematical model of thermoelastic solid body taking account of structural heterogeneity of the body material and geometric irregularity of its surface. The density and the chemical potential of skeleton among others are included into the state parameters space. The source of skeleton mass reconciles the actual and reference body states and may be associated with real surface forming method. The analysis of model problem solutions shows that the model is appropriate to describe coupled processes in porous and nanoporous bodies. It allows studying the size effects of strength, elastic moduli, etc. caused by near-surface non-homogeneity.

    Opis:
    This article deals with the model of the locally heterogeneous elastic body. The model accounts for long-range interaction and describes near-surface non-homogeneity and related size effects. The key systems of model equations are presented. From the viewpoint of the representative volume element, the boundary condition for density and the limits of applicability of the model are discussed. The difference of mass density in the near-surface body region from the reference value (near-surface mass defect) causes a non-zero stressed state. It is indicated on the strong dependence of the surface value of density from the curvature of the surface of thin fibres. The effect of the near-surface mass defect on the stressed state and the size effect of surface stresses have been investigated on an example of a hollow cylinder. Size effect of its strength has been studied as well.

    Ciągły wzrost popytu na miniaturowe części, powoduje szybki rozwój metod mikroformowania z zastosowaniem obróbki plastycznej. W artykule opisano proces mikroformowania metalowych części, problemy związane ze zmniejszeniem skali obrabianych wyrobów, a także zjawiska zachodzące podczas tego procesu w skali mikro. Przedstawiono przegląd głównych procesów obróbki plastycznej stosowanych w mikroformowaniu w tym kształtowanie cienkich blach i kształtowanie brył. Omówiono także zagadnienia związane z produkcją mikromaszyn.
    Increasing demand on miniature parts causes the great growth of microforming methods using metal forming. This paper gives the review of microforming process, problems associated with miniaturization of metal parts and effects which appear during the micro metal forming. Forming technologies like micro massive forming and micro sheet metal forming are described in this paper. The problem of micro machines is mentioned here.

    The study considers the basic problems of the shadow economy in the context of investigating its exposure to the market environment market. The tax morale concept was used as an example. The key study objective is to provide a rationale for estimating the tax morale effects on the Russian shadow economy size and manifestations. This research utilized both Russian and international studies on the subject.
    W opracowaniu rozważane są podstawowe problemy szarej strefy w kontekście badania jej ujawnienia w otoczeniu rynkowym. Jako przykład posłużyła koncepcja morale podatkowego. Główny cel badania polega na dostarczeniu uzasadnienia dla oszacowania wpływu morale podatkowego na rozmiar i przejawy rosyjskiej szarej strefy. W badaniach wykorzystano zarówno rosyjskie, jak i międzynarodowe opracowania na ten temat.

    Opis:
    This study examines 16 country selection strategies based on inter-market value, size, momentum, quality and volatility effects. We investigate a sample of 78 countries for the period 1999-2014. Having considered country-specific dividend tax rates, market liquidity and openness for investment flows we can state that chosen strategy based on earnings to price ratio proves useful for investors. Momentum strategies should be approached with caution, as they appear effective only in small markets and may lead to loses in large markets. Selecting low leveraged and illiquid countries also proves beneficial. The relation between volatility displays different characteristics for open and closed economies.

    The aim of the paper is to present the most important results of the research carried out for the case study on the
    effects of Rail Baltica investments in the Warsaw Metropolitan Area (WMA) urban node. The research was carried out
    as part of the EU project NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). In the article the main conclusions from the
    study are presented, describing changes that have supervened in the analyzed area (communes within the boundaries
    of the WMA, at a distance of up to 3 km from the E75 railway line and ones crossed by national road 8/S8) in the period
    of the E75 line’s modernization. The analysis focuses on changes in settlement structure as well as the functioning of
    railway transport, with an assessment of the improvements by its users. Conclusions from the analysis of changes in the
    spatio-functional and socio-economical dimensions are described and concern the number of building licenses granted,
    changes in population size, changes in the number of registered natural person business entities, changes in the number
    of transactions on the real estate market. Moreover, in the area of transport, the paper presents an assessment of the
    quality of railway services on the E75 line through passengers’ opinions and the integration of the Baltic railway with
    alternative transport modes.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najważniejszych wyników badań przeprowadzonych na potrzeby Studium
    wpływu modernizacji linii kolejowej E75 na rozwój Obszaru Metropolitalnego Warszawy, Przedmiotowe opracowanie
    powstało w ramach projektu NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). W artykule zaprezentowano
    najważniejsze wnioski z przedmiotowego Studium, opisujące zmiany, które zaszły na obszarze badań (zawartego
    w granicach OMW, obejmującego gminy położone w zasięgu 3 km od linii kolejowej E75 oraz gminy, przez które
    przebiega droga krajowa nr 8/S8), w okresie trwającej modernizacji linii E75. W tym celu skoncentrowano się na analizie
    zmian w przestrzeni osadniczej oraz w zakresie funkcjonowania transportu kolejowego i oceny przez podróżnych
    przyjętych usprawnień. Opisano wnioski z analizy zmian w wymiarze funkcjonalno-przestrzennym i społecznogospodarczym
    obszaru badań w zakresie: wydanych pozwoleń na budowę, zmiany liczby ludności, zarejestrowanych
    podmiotów gospodarczych osób fizycznych, transakcji zawartych na rynku nieruchomości. W artykule przedstawiono
    również zmiany, które zaszły w okresie modernizacji w zakresie transportu obejmujące ocenę jakości usług
    przewoźników kolejowych realizowanych na linii E75, opinie pasażerów na temat funkcjonowania transportu
    kolejowego oraz powiązania kolei bałtyckiej z alternatywnymi środkami transportu.
