Pairing of infinitesimal descending singularity of the 2D domain of complex numbers with an infinitely ascending singularity deployed in the 1D domain of real numbers, where the real singularity can be equated operationally with never-ending, whether countable or not, infinity, requires the employment of a pair of mutually dual reciprocal spaces in order for each of the spaces of the twin quasigeometric structure to be truly operational. Creation of twin quasigeometric structures comprising paired dual reciprocal spaces that are really operational and truly invertible, is the necessary condition for making the notion of operationally sound infinity viable. Although acceptance of the multispatial reality paradigm seems optional, it is shown that even performing legitimate scalar differentiation (in accordance with product differentiation rule) can yield either incomplete or incorrect evaluations of compounded scalar functions. This curious fact implies inevitable need for awareness of conceptual superiority of the multispatial reality paradigm over the former, unspoken and thus unchallenged in the past, single-space reality paradigm, in order to prevent even inadvertent creation of formwise illegitimate, or just somewhat incomplete, pseudodifferentials, which can be obtained even with the use of quite legitimate operational rules of scalar differential calculus.

This short argument paper elaborates the argument of retrocausality in human cultural-civilizational continuum based on the concept of bidirectional time flow. The aim of paper is to suggest an evolutio- nal possibility for humankind by introducing new perceptions of reality via reconsidering temporal flows in cultural timeline. The first chapter presents the bidirectional time flow idea and explains it. The second chapter presents and explains the theoretical scheme of retrocausality, demonstrating the total singularity – the noosphere – as the final perceived stage in cultural-civilizational human de- velopment as the super-set to current linear time-based human existence, which could transparently perceive and manipulate both directions of temporal flows of our lived continuum. The conclusion is made that retrocausality is possible due perception model allowing to grasp the past and the future as open sequences within given temporal and spatial boundaries.

After a brief account of Derrida’s notion of singularity as an irreducible, quasi-material layer of (literary) texts, this article attempts to delineate its effects on theoretical or scientific mastery over literature. Invention and law are examined as necessary but mutually cancelling origins of aesthetic and scientific institutions, and the final chapter – following Derrida’s Ulysse gramophone – questions the limits of theoretical competence in collision with the incalculable swerve of literarity.

Nowadays, it's hard to stay togdifficult to remain Yourself. How we behave in critical situations and if fight for our identity, our specificity, depends on us. How to live, we would not seem to us that we live in? The issues taken in this article are related to the specificity of highlander, and our choices which play an important role in my life. The first part of the article describes the basic concepts, including specificity, being yourself, singularity. In the next part a signpost were shown, which „saves” described highlander specificity. The aim of the article is to show the (frequently forged) highland value in aspect of creating ourself, our attitude towards life, which involve a lot of positives. I assert that the specificity of the highland is the value of itself creation.

The null controllability problem is considered for 2-D thermoelastic plates under hinged mechanical boundary conditions. The resulting partial differential equation system generates an analytic semigroup on the space of finite energy. Consequently, because the thermoelastic system is associated with an infinite speed of propagation, the null controllability question is a suitable one for contemplation. It is shown that all finite energy states can be driven to zero by means of L^2(Q)-mechanical or thermal controls. In addition, the singularity of the minimal energy function, as T | 0, is also investigated. Ultimately, we establish the optimal blowup rate O(T-5/2) for this function, in the case one control (either mechanical or thermal ) is acting upon the system and O(T-5/2). in the case of two controls (thermal and mechanical). This rate of singularity is optimal and in fact the same as obtained by considering finite dimensional truncations of the thermoelastic PDE.

In my article I present the characterization of the state of "singularity" as an upcoming moment in history, which is being foretold by Raymond Kurzweil – futurologist, computer scientist and transhumanist. I also present the concept of dividing history into six epochs proposed by Kurzweil, who captures the history of the whole universe as a process of increasing the amount of information. In describing Kurzweil's thought, I do it from the philosophical point of view, showing its historiosophical moments.
W artykule dokonuję przedstawienia oraz charakterystyki stanu „Osobliwości” jako nadchodzącego momentu w historii, który przepowiadany jest przez Raymonda Kurzweila – futurologa, informatyka oraz transhumanistę. Dokonuję również przedstawienia koncepcji podziału historii na sześć epok zaproponowanego przez Kurzweila, który ujmuje historię w kontekście całego wszechświata jako proces wzrostu ilości informacji. Przedstawiając myśl Kurzweila, dokonuję tego od strony filozoficznej, pokazując jej historiozoficzne momenty.

The issues of medical robots have been approached for 12 years in the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Engineering of the Technical University of Lodz. In the last two years, the scope of research related to the miniaturization of surgical tools, automated changing of these tools with the use of a tool depot designed for this purpose, equipping the robot in the sense of touch and developing the software which provides ergonomic and intuitive robot control with the use of all its functions. In the telemanipulator control, strong emphasis is placed on the intuitiveness of control, which is hard to be ensured due to the fact that the robot tool is observed by a laparoscopic camera, whose orientation and position may vary. That is the reason for developing a new algorithm. It copies the increments of the position and orientation measured in relation to the monitor coordinate system onto the robot tool movement and orientation, which are measured in relation to the camera coordinates system. In this algorithm it is necessary to solve inverse kinematics, which has a discontinuity. Avoiding the discontinuity is achieved by mapping the solution with the cosine function. It causes smooth pass through the area of discontinuity in this way avoiding the singularity.
Problematyka robotów medycznych jest od 12 lat rozwijana w Instytucie Obrabiarek i TBM Politechniki Łódzkiej. W ciągu ostatnich dwóch lat prace badawcze koncentrowały się na miniaturyzacji narzędzi chirurgicznych, procedurach automatycznej wymiany tych narzędzi z wykorzystaniem zaprojektowanego do tego celu magazynu końcówek narzędziowych, wyposażeniu robota w zmysł dotyku oraz na opracowaniu oprogramowania, które w ergonomiczny i intuicyjny sposób pozwoli sterować robotem z wykorzystaniem wszystkich jego możliwości. W zakresie kontroli telemanipulatora silny nacisk został położony na intuicyjny sposób sterowania, który jest trudny do zrealizowania, gdyż układy współrzędnych obserwatora i narzędzia mogą być w różnych położeniach. To skłoniło zespół z PL do opracowania nowego algorytmu sterowania, który kopiuje zmiany położenia i orientację mierzone względem układu współrzędnych monitora na ruch robota i orientację narzędzia mierzone względem układu współrzędnych kamery. W metodzie tej wykorzystano rozwiązanie zadania odwrotnego z uwzględnieniem nieciągłości rozwiązania. W celu uniknięcia jej została wykorzystana funkcja kosinus, dzięki czemu uzyskano płynne przejście przez strefę nieciągłości.

The theory of p-regularity has approximately twenty-five years’ history and many results have been obtained up to now. The main result of this theory is description of tangent cone to zero set in singular case. However there are numerous nonlinear objects for which the p-regularity condition fails, especially for p > 2. In this paper we generalize the p-regularity notion as a starting point for more detailed consideration based on different p-factor operators constructions.

Applications of singularity theory give rise to many questions concerning deformations of singularities. Unfortunately, satisfactory answers are known only for simple singularities and partially for unimodal ones. The aim of this paper is to give some insight into decompositions of multi-modal singularities with unimodal leading part. We investigate the $J_{k,0}$ singularities which have modality k - 1 but the quasihomogeneous part of their normal form only depends on one modulus.

One of the most important transhumanistic ideas is singularity which can be described as a horizon of events, prediction horizon, transitional phase or emergence of conscious artificial intelligence. So nowadays it has different references. This article is an attempt to illustrate singularity based on Stanisław Lem’s novel and philosophical essay Golem XIV. This novel shows how the evolution of AI from ordinary computer to artificial conscious superintelligence could look like. It is also an illustration of possible relations between human and nonhuman intelligence. Lem appears here as philosopher and visionary who tries to think about the future, when human creates a being more perfect than himself. He is far from vision of omnipotence of computers.

Tekst jest odpowiedzią autorów Rzeczy-pospolitej na krytykę przedstawioną przez Davida Harveya. Hardt i Negri odrzucają prymat podziału klasowego wobec innych podziałów (rasowych, genderowych) oraz poszerzają na te obszary pole możliwej działalności rewolucyjnej. Następnie, wychodząc od myśli Spinozy podkreślają różnorodność definicji pojedynczości, nie zgadzają się oni również z nadmierną rolą przypisywaną pojęciu kapitału fikcyjnego i wskazują na niematerialny aspekt finansjeryzacji i spełnianą przez nią rolę „centralnej formy akumulacji kapitału”. Na koniec podkreślają oni wagę właściwego rozpoznania panującego oburzenia i konieczną oddolność działań rewolucyjnych.
The text is a response of authors of Commonwealth to criticism presented by David Harvey. Hard and Negri turn down the primacy of class division over other various identity formations (e.g. race, gender) and they perceive it as field of revolutionary struggle. Then, starting with Spinoza they highlight variety of definitions of singularity and do not agree withthe significant role ascribed to the notion of fictitious capital; they point out immaterial aspect of financialization and its role as a “central form of the accumulation of capital.” Finally, they emphasize the importance of recognition of present indignation and revolutionary actions, which could be made only from below.

The theological concept of ‘person’ and its complementary notion of ‘nature’ were developed through early church teaching on the Holy Trinity and the Incarnation. Persons in this case referred solely to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit while ‘nature’ expressed the unity of the Godhead and encompassed those attributes which were shared by the divine Persons. The later history of this theologically derived notion of ‘person’ took a different turn, moving away from the early complementarity of nature and person in order to embrace the notion of human person for which complementarity seemed ill fitting. In this new conception, ‘person’ was subsumed under the category of ‘nature’. A human person came to refer to the full human reality, body and soul, while a more general notion, aimed at accommodating both divine and human personhood, as famously expressed by Boethius, thought of a person as an individual substance of a rational nature. One might ask, however, whether it is possible and fruitful to develop the initial, complementary concept of ‘person’ in a different direction, that is, so that it covers not only divine Persons but also mere humans. Does it give a coherence to the area of theological anthropology beyond that afforded by the classical, nature-based concept of ‘person’? Here I attempt to set out a conceptual framework for the application to humans of the concept of ‘person’ as it was developed with the theological controversies of the early Church – or at least according to one reading of that process. I first take note of the features of the theological notion of personhood and test whether human persons might be understood in the same or similar terms, taking into account the difference between divine and creaturely existence.   I then draw comparisons with the traditional concept of ‘person’ as it has been applied to human beings to show that the former version is to be preferred. I conclude with comments which draw out some of the implications of this theological notion of person.
Refleksje teologiczne oraz rozróżnienia podjęte przez sobory w pierwszych siedmiu wiekach historii Kościoła doprowadziły do powstania niezwykłego i oryginalnego pojęcia „Osoby”, które znajduje się w samym centrum chrześcijańskiego wyznania wiary. Wierzymy w jednego Boga w trzech Osobach oraz w Syna Bożego, drugą Osobę Trójcy Świętej, który łączy w sobie naturę boską i ludzką. Taka koncepcja osoby zastosowana do Boga nie przyczyniła się do równie głębokiej refleksji nad osobowością istot ludzkich innych niż Chrystus, czyli zwykłych ludzi. Co jednak stałoby się, gdybyśmy podążyli tym tropem myślowym? Niniejszy artykuł bada tę możliwość, podkreślając trzy cechy teologicznego rozumienia Osób Boskich: Osoby Boskie nie mogą być pojmowane w kategoriach pozytywnych; Osoby Boskie są całkowicie pojedyncze; oraz Osoby Boskie posiadają rzeczywistość tylko w relacji do siebie nawzajem. Chociaż na pierwszy rzut oka taki zabieg myślowy nie wygląda obiecująco, to jednak głębsza analiza sugeruje, że jest inaczej. Na tej podstawie artykuł bada niektóre z implikacji takiego rozumowania, wprowadzając przy tym pojęcie „semblantu” jako koniecznego pośrednika między pojęciem „osoby” a pojęciem „natury ludzkiej”.
