Lubrication of wind turbines is very important for maintenance [3] . The purpose of this paper is to present some considerations about monitoring oiling system. This system monitors kinematic data in real time. The importance of monitoring real data with this system help us to simulate lubrication for various types of wind turbine reducers in order to choose the optimal form of the lubrication system and for good maintenance.

In this paper, a new three-parameter lifetime model, called the odd log-logistic generalised Lindley distribution, is introduced. Some structural properties of the new distribution including ordinary and incomplete moments, quantile and generating functions and order statistics are obtained. The new density function can be expressed as a linear mixture of exponentiated Lindley densities. Different methods are discussed to estimate the model parameters and a simulation study is carried out to show the performance of the new distribution. The importance and flexibility of the new model are also illustrated empirically by means of two real data sets. Finally, Bayesian analysis and Gibbs sampling are performed based on the two real data sets.

This paper aims to enhance the productivity of a chilled beef production line by comparing two techniques; standard time calculation and simulation. The best improvement method was obtained using the work-study principle, a network diagram, and bottleneck identification. Two methods for improvement are proposed based on the ECRS, the Theory of Constraint (TOC), and line balancing concepts. A simulation model is developed to mimic the actual production line. The simulation results are verified, validated, and compared. Some workstations were combined, and the allocation of the workers was arranged. The present production line efficiency was 46.21%, which increased to 67.09% and 79.71% from the suggested methods. It showed that using the standard time calculation gives a different result from the simulation. In summary, the simulation model along with the application of TOC and ECRS, provides accurate information and improves overall productivity.

In this paper, we have described the development of an effective two-phase stratified random sampling estimation procedure in a scrambled response situation. Two different exponential, regression-type estimators were formed separately for different structures of two-phase stratified sampling schemes. We have studied the properties of the suggested strategy. The performance of the proposed strategy has been demonstrated through numerical evidence based on a data set of a natural population and a population generated through simulation studies. Taking into consideration the encouraging findings, suitable recommendations for survey statisticians are prepared for the application of the proposed strategy in real-life conditions.

Today, the manufacturing industry must adapt to dynamic customer needs, changing from time to time following market trends. So that the production process in manufacturing requires adjustments, one of which is by forming social manufacturing. This study aims to create an integrated production system model based on social manufacturing, which involves several Socialized Manufacturing Resources (SMR) as manufacturing resources that are socialized to produce a product. The methods used are field observation, literature study, design of a social manufacturing-based production system model, model simulation using ProModel software, and analysis of model simulation results. In this study, the simulation involves four SMRs, each of which makes a part that has been given specifications by the manufacturer based on customer requests. The product produced is the Sanitation Chamber, which is equipped with a control system to monitor reading data via the internet. The model simulation uses the Pro Model software and analyzes resource use, location utilization, and resource costs.

The section of the paper on simulation studies presents the application of fractional calculus to describe the dynamics of pneumatic systems. In the construction of mathematical models of the analysed dynamic systems, the Riemann-Liouville definition of differ-integral of non-integer order was used. For the analysed model, transfer function of integer and non-integer order was determined. Functions describing characteristics in time and frequency domains were determined, whereas the characteristics of the analysed systems were obtained by means of computer simulation. MATLAB were used for the simulation research. The section of the paper on laboratory research presents the results of the laboratory tests of the injection system of the internal combustion engine with special attention to the verification of simulated tests of selected pneumatic systems described with the use of fractional calculus.

As a central goal of the energy transition in Germany, the share of renewable energies is to be increased to over 80% by 2050. Due to fluctuating wind conditions or the day-night cycle, storage systems must be integrated into the supply grid for a continuous regenerative power supply from wind and solar energy. In addition to pumped storage systems, batteries and Power2Gas approaches, compressed gases (optimally air) can also be used for this purpose. The aim of the research and development project presented is to develop such a storage unit with the best possible efficiency and long service life. To this end, basic calculations were first made on possible efficiencies depending on the assumed changes in the state of the working gas. Furthermore a piston compressor for compressed air generation was investigated experimentally with regard to its efficiency. In addition, the compressor was modelled and simulated in a corresponding software. Thus, on the one hand, the efficiency of the existing piston compressor could be determined experimentally and, on the other hand, the simulation model could be assessed with regard to its suitability for the purpose of simulation-based optimization. Measures to increase efficiency can be derived from the results. In addition, it becomes possible to forecast the achievable overall efficiency of such an energy storage system with compressed air.

Real time ship manoeuvring simulations are a valuable source of information in the detailed design phase of nautical studies. The feedback of pilots, which is not available for fast time simulations that are carried out by a computerized autopilot, is an important asset in the evaluation of the feasibility of ship manoeuvres. However, real time simulations are significantly more expensive in that realistic 3D visuals are needed so that the pilot can immerse himself in a sailing environment. Modelling and generating such 3D views is time consuming and requires expensive hardware and special skills. Real time simulations that offer only a 2D bird’s eye view for the execution of manoeuvres by pilots, can sometimes be used as a cheaper and faster alternative. This paper presents a case study that evaluates the nautical access to two harbours and discusses some of the advantages and disadvantages of a real time bird’s eye view setup.

Opis:
A smart solution for assessing the consequences of pollution on the coast, on flora and fauna but also by accounting for the total costs of the equipment used in the response to pollution is a system for assessing, coordinating and simulating the risk situation with the help of a mathematical model implemented on a simulator. The mathematical model for the simulation of the event of pollution is the latest generation and take into account all the meteorological factors of the sea and air, as well as all the physico-chemical parameters of the substances involved (dispersion, surface tension). The simulator is used for the realistic modeling of a crisis situation and it is useful for both marine officers and emergency situation officials. The simulator will be used as an educational instrument enabling the interactive study of the different emergency situations. In this paper we present the simulation of incident and the creation of response resources. The scenario incident is for KAPTAN M cruise ship that left the tourist port of TOMIS Constanta, Romania, having on board 20 passengers and a number of 15 crew members, and which collided with the oil ship EVIA Oil FIVE, having on board the quantity of 4200 MT crude oil. As a result of the collision, the passenger ship suffered a breach (water hole), on the starboard board, breach by which the ship began to ambarce sea water and in the car compartment a fire was produced. Containment and recovery of an oil spill during the exercise will be simulated through activation and control of response resources. The resources involved in the operations are divided into: platforms, equipment and personnel. The results of simulation is the list of response resources specified in the scenario together with their parameters, which can be exported into a text file. With this simulation tools you can efficiently appreciate the cost of resources in due time, avoiding material and human damage.

A key element in ensuring the safety of the port of Świnoujście against oil spills is to ensure combat units are properly equipped with oil spill collecting equipment, and that they have the ability to effectively use the existing resources. All of this should be properly reflected in the port’s contingency plans. It is also important to develop tactics for oil spill combat action that take into account both local conditions and worst case scenarios with parallel checking of these scenarios during the exercise and the table-top exercises. The use of computer simulation to forecast oil spill behaviour allows for better arrangement and more efficient use of resources and the optimum development of antipollution action and tactics. The specific location of the Świnoujście harbour, its breakwaters shape, and that shipping traffic is allowed only on the approaching waterway, may lead one to the conclusion that the port of Świnoujście is completely safe from any possible petroleum pollution after a ships’ collision and the antipollution action should focus only on maximising the protection of the coast. To verify this assumption, simulations of an oil spill spreading after a vessels’ collision were carried out. The purpose of the simulations was to determine the most unfavourable weather conditions which would lead to the port of Świnoujście being polluted, and to define the best tactics for conducting oil spill combat actions under such conditions. The simulations clearly indicated that, with a particular combination of weather conditions, pollution could occur inside the port. It could result in vessel traffic suspension and huge financial losses. Simulations were conducted using the PISCES II oil spill simulator.

The information flow, from which managers can make decent decisions, requires the use of e-economy tools and enterprise support planning systems. Simulations as a tool of e-economy become increasingly popular in business practice nowadays. In this paper, the authors focus on presenting how the simulations were used to verify the developed model of evaluating production efficiency. Using a case study method, they describe the verification process, which depicts the specificity of the production process, on the example of serial production, which is the most representative in business practice. The main aim of the article is to present the informatization method of the evaluation model and the simulation as a tool supporting the decision-making process at the operational level.

The increasing sizes of ships and lack of functionality of the existing solutions determine the interest in rebuilding the already existing solutions. Simulation models allow to analyse the possible modernisation variants taking into account the variability of elementary parameters. The article presents analysis results for the Przemyslowy Canal in Szczecin with respect to navigation safety and regulating traffic regulations in the Przemyslowy Canal taking into consideration the interests of all subjects involved. The paper applies real-time simulation methods based on manoeuvring simulators. After a thorough analysis that took into account the safety of navigation, further possibilities of development have been determined. Study results are aimed at designing new solutions in case of modernization of the Przemyslowy Canal in Szczecin.

W pracy przedstawiono narzędzia symulacyjne, które mogą być wykorzystywane w ocenie jakości i trwałości wybranych elementów nawierzchni kolejowej. W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań symulacyjnych naprężeń własnych w procesie produkcji elementów stalowych rozjazdów kolejowych, jak też uproszczonego modelu nawierzchni kolejowej. Badania obejmowały różne warianty konstrukcji jak i jej obciążenia eksploatacyjne. Prezentowane wyniki badań symulacyjnych stanowiły m.in. uzupełnienie badań doświadczalnych.
The paper presents simulation instruments that can be used to evaluate the quality and durability of selected the superstructure and its components. The article presents selected results of simulation residual stress simulation tests in the steel production process of railway turnouts as well as a simplified model of railway superstructure. The various construction variants and their operating loads have been analysed. Presented results of the simulation studies were among others completion of experimental research.

This article presents the results of measurements on friction forces carried out in the model forming process (MFP). The description of this process takes into consideration the presence of plastic strain at the interface between the test specimen and tool due to the material flow. The experimental forming process was performer with a laboratory unit constructed and manufactured at the Fundamentals of Technology Faculty of the Lublin University of Technology [L. 1, 2]. This unit was used to carry out the measurements on friction force Turing model forming of shaped test specimens at a pressure of 0 to 100kN acting on a continuous basis during the research process. The results of experimental measurements of friction forces were compared to those of numerical calculations obtained with the finite element method (FEM). Experimental results of friction for ces were compared with the results obtained using the model forming process (MFP). In order to document the effects of plastic strain in the structure of shaped test specimens subjected to experimental model forming, metallographic examinations were carried out using a light microscope. Structure observations were conducted in a bright field and polarised light with a magnification of up to 2000x.
W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty badań sił tarcia w modelowym procesie wytłaczania (MPW). Uwzględniono także występowanie odkształcenia plastycznego zachodzącego wskutek płynięcia materiału przy styku próbki z narzędziem. Modelowy proces wytłaczania przeprowadzono na urządzeniu laboratoryjnym skonstruowanym i wykonanym na Wydziale Podstaw Techniki Politechniki Lubelskiej. Urządzenie pozwalało na prowadzenie badań wytłaczania próbek kształtowych dla siły nacisku (od 0 do 100 N) działającej w sposób ciągły, w trakcie procesu badawczego. Efekty doświadczalne pomiarów sił tarcia porównano z wynikami uzyskanymi metodą obliczeniową przy zastosowaniu MES w modelowym procesie wytłaczania (MPW). Użycie metod numerycznych pozwoliło również na obliczenie rozkładu odkształceń w badanych próbkach. Dla udokumentowania efektów odkształcenia plastycznego w strukturze kształtowników poddanych doświadczalnemu, modelowemu wytłaczaniu przeprowadzono badania metalograficzne przy wykorzystaniu mikroskopu świetlnego. Obserwacje struktury prowadzono w polu jasnym i świetle spolaryzowanym przy powiększeniu do 2000x.
