We present in this article our research results, which indicate numerous persisting prepossessions, myths, and stereotypes in sexuality area of coming social workers. We mention on requirement to analyze microdiscourses about sexuality between professionals in coadjutant professions field, whereas their activity can conduce to better, healthy and autonomous attendance of sexuality with clients, or in contrast they can support and secure many prepossessions and stereotypes in this area. In this article we accentuate value and position of sexual education in social worker education. We mention that sexual education at Slovak Universities is insufficient (even in social worker training) and consequently we encourage to enforcing realization of systematic and complex sexual education.

Zjawiskiem, które zagraża poczuciu bezpieczeństwa pracowników w procesie pracy, a także ich zdrowiu, jest molestowanie seksualne. Autorka omawia to zjawisko z perspektywy pedagogiki społecznej, a dokładniej - pedagogiki społecznej uwrażliwionej na płeć (inspirowanej feminizmem); stąd jej zainteresowanie molestowaniem seksualnym kobiet. W pierwszej części tekstu autorka przybliża obraną perspektywę analizy. Następnie charakteryzuje zjawisko molestowania seksualnego: jego typy (molestowanie typu coś za coś oraz tworzenie wrogiego środowiska pracy), zasięg, a także czynniki ryzyka. A phenomenon, which threatens employees feeling of security, as well as their health, is sexual harassment. The authoress discusses the phenomenon from the perspective of social pedagogy, to be precise - gender sensitive social pedagogy (inspired by feminism); that's why her interest in sexual harassment of women. In the first part of the text the authoress outlines the perspective of analysis accepted by her. Then she characterises the phenomenon of sexual harassment: its types (Quid pro quo form and Hostile environmental type), range and factors of risk. Talking about consequences of harassment she indicates threaten of physical, psychical and also sexual health of a woman, and violation of her sexual rights. In the last part of the text we find out how the law helps to protect employees, as well as what activities should be taken to prevent sexual attack and harassment.

The paper discusses the position of the Catholic Church towards the problem of sexual violence in comparison to the liberal position, with regard to the difference in identifying the reasons of sexual abuse. The direct reasons include mental, social and sexual pathology of adults (originating in their childhood). The presented empirical data does not suggest a causal relation between the frustration of sexual needs and the tendency to pedophilia. The article is critical to seeing the family as a place of sexual oppression of children. The indirect causes of sexual abuse of children include: parents’ and carers’ homosexuality, introducing LGTBQ (lesbian, gay, transgendered, bisexual, queer) issues into „preparation to family life” school textbooks, pornography in the media, especially on the Internet, sexualisation of children’s toys, the network of tourist services organized for persons with deviated sexual needs (including pedophiles), attempts to normalize prostitution, protection of the right of persons of various sexual orientations to work at schools and educational centers, commercial sexual abuse of children (sex-business with children), propagating mentality that allows an instrumental treatment of the child or treating the child as an object through legalizing abortion, accepting the right to artificial insemination, trade of foetus material. Special attention is paid to those causes and prophylactic activities that are of an indirect character, which is less graspable, through the structures of evil in the society that humiliate the human dignity and have indirect impact on the spreading of pedophilia. The paper points out that many prevention programs are of a superficial character in that they only aim at teaching children the skills of self-assertion towards adults and making children more sensitive to the symptoms of sexual abuse, while prevention should take into account a deeper dimension of pedophilia, especially when dealing with groups where children are prone to being emotionally, materially and physically neglected in the family. Also, media education for children and young adults is a necessity, especially in the context of side effects of attracting public attention to the phenomenon of sexual violence in the media, such as: questioning the trust in their parents, modeling pathological behaviors in persons who are prone to imitate deviated patterns of behavior, disseminating deviation. The various centers of crisis intervention for the victims of sexual abuse provide very effective assistance, as long as the diagnosis and the therapy process itself does not expose the child to another trauma. The major factor in successful prevention and corrective activities in the case of sexual abuse remains education in the family that supports the child’s proper sexual development to mature, integral experience of his or her sexuality.
Artykuł omawia stanowisko Kościoła katolickiego wobec problemu przemocy seksualnej w porównaniu ze stanowiskiem liberalnym w odniesieniu do różnicy w ujmowaniu przyczyn wykorzystania seksualnego. Do przyczyn bezpośrednich zaliczono patologię psychiczną, społeczną i seksualną dorosłych (wywodzącą się z dzieciństwa). Odwołując się do danych empirycznych, zanegowano związek przyczynowy frustracji potrzeb seksualnych ze skłonnością do pedofilii oraz krytycznie odniesiono się do ukazywania rodziny jako miejsca seksualnej opresji dzieci. Wśród pośrednich przyczyn wykorzystywania seksualnego dzieci uwzględniono: homoseksualizm rodziców, opiekunów; wprowadzenie do podręczników szkolnych „wychowania do życia w rodzinie” treści LGTBQ (lesbian, gay, transgendered, bisexual, queer), pornografię w mediach, szczególnie w internecie, seksualizację zabawek dziecięcych, sieć usług turystycznych zorganizowaną dla osób o dewiacyjnych potrzebach seksualnych (w tym również pedofilów), próby normalizacji prostytucji, obronę prawa do pracy w placówkach oświatowo-wychowawczych osób o różnej orientacji seksualnej, komercyjne wykorzystywanie seksualne dzieci (sex-biznes z udziałem dzieci), propagowanie mentalności przyzwalającej na przedmiotowe i instrumentalne traktowanie dziecka poprzez legalizację aborcji, uznanie prawa do sztucznego zapłodnienia, handlu materiałem płodowym. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono tym przyczynom oraz działaniom profilaktycznym, które mają charakter pośredni, mniej uchwytny i poprzez struktury zła w społeczeństwie poniżające ludzką godność wpływają na rozszerzanie się zjawiska pedofilii. Ukazano powierzchowny charakter wielu programów profilaktycznych ukierunkowanych na wyćwiczenie u dzieci asertywnych zachowań wobec dorosłych i na uwrażliwianie ich na przejawy przemocy seksualnej. Podkreślono głębszy wymiar profilaktyki pedofilii w środowiskach, w których dzieci narażone są na zaniedbania emocjonalne, materialne i fizyczne w rodzinie. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność edukacji medialnej dzieci i młodzieży. Zaakcentowano uboczne skutki nagłaśniania zjawiska przemocy seksualnej w mediach, takie jak: podważanie zaufania do rodziców, modelowanie patologicznych zachowań u osób podatnych na naśladownictwo dewiacyjnych wzorców, upowszechnianie dewiacji. Pozytywnie oceniono działalność centrów interwencji kryzysowej dla ofiar przemocy seksualnej, o ile proces diagnozowania i terapii nie naraża dziecka na ponowną traumę. Dobitnie podkreślono priorytetowe znaczenie wychowania w rodzinie wspierającego prawidłowy rozwój seksualny ku dojrzałemu, integralnemu przeżywaniu własnej płciowości.

The intention of this paper is to examine the scientific studies that assess needs and support people with intellectual disabilities, regarding their sexual health. In connection with the theme of the author analyzes the selected folders risk sexual behavior with a focus on people with intellectual disabilities and specific group, which in this respect are Roma with intellectual disabilities. Attention to the particular issue of early sexual life, promiscuity and consequences of unsafe sexual behavior, such as the unplanned / unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. In the end of the article represent a praxeological methodological recommendations in the context of health.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie relacji zachodzących pomiędzy trzema stylami wychowania seksualnego doświadczonego w domu oraz w szkole a tendencją młodych dorosłych do podejmowania ryzykownych zachowań seksualnych. W zakresie domowego wychowania seksualnego uwzględniono: (1) styl oparty na otwartości interakcji, (2) styl oparty na braku otwartości interakcji oraz (3) styl oparty na otwartości interakcji w ramach jednej płci, zaś odnośnie do szkolnego wychowania seksualnego przyjęto podział na często opisywane w literaturze przedmiotu style A, B i C. Wyniki badań wiodą ku refleksji nad czynnikami wpływającymi na kształtowanie się zachowań seksualnych w kontekście rozwoju jednostki i szeroko pojętego zdrowia seksualnego.
The aim of the paper is to present the relationships between three styles of sex education experienced at home and at school, and the tendency of young adults to undertake risk sexual behaviours. In terms of sex education at home the following styles were included: (1) a style based on the openness of interaction, (2) a style based on the lack of openness of interaction and (3) a style based on the openness of interaction within a single sex. And with respect to sex education at school the author adopted the division into frequently described in the literature styles A, B and C. The results of the research lead to a reflection over the factors which influence the formation of sexual behaviour in the context of the development of an individual and widely understood sexual health.

Sexuality of people with disabilities is an extremely important topic both from a psychopedagogical and health or socio-cultural perspective. Lack of public awareness, sex education and existing myths make it difficult to meet the sexual needs of these people. In addition, people with disabilities experience hysiological and anatomical limitations and also have problems finding a partner. Some of them decide to contact sex workers. One of the proposed solutions is to introduce the profession of sexual assistant (the so-called Sexual accompaniment). The purpose of this article is to describe the role of sexual assistants and the scope of their functioning in various countries as well as to indicate the benefits and restrictions associated with the introduction of this profession.

Introduction and objectives. Surgical treatment due to brest cancer have an impact on women sexuality. There is a need for research about effective indications for sexology consultation in women after such treatment. The aim of this study is to determine the indications for sexology consultation in women after surgical treatment for breast cancer. Materials and method. We tested 42 women patients diagnosed with breast cancer who had undergone mastectomy 3 months before the study. 3 months after the surgery the women were surveyed using the Polish version of FSFI assessing sexual functioning in women. The result of PL-FSFI were compared with the control group. Results. It was found that the mean score of PL-FSFI in the study group 3 months after the surgery was 13.33 points (score range: 1.2–31.7; median 8.3 points) with a statistically significant difference in terms of areas: desire, arousal, lubrication and orgasm in favour of the control group. The total score of PL-FSFI was significantly lower in women after mastectomy than in women after breast-conserving surgery. It has been shown that sexually active women in whom the surgery concerned the right breast (on the side of the dominant hand) scored lower on the scale “sexual functioning” of QLQ-BR-23 than women with surgery of the left breast, with this difference being statistically significant. There was a statistically significant correlation between the baseline performance status on the Zubrod scale and the scales: desire, lubrication and satisfaction of PL-FSFI. Living in a small town proved to be statistically significant for predicting a lower risk of sexual dysfunction among the surveyed women. Conclusions. The women who underwent surgery due to breast cancer had a higher risk of sexual dysfunction compared to the general population. Higher risk of sexual dysfunction especially concerns women after mastectomy, those who underwent breast surgery on the side of the dominant hand, and those with a worse preoperative overall level of functioning of ≥ 1 point on the Zubrod scale. A lower risk of disorders was observed in women living in smaller towns. The above factors indicate the advisability for sexology consultation in women with breast cancer.

Opis:
The discussed Act introduced an institution of post-penal isolation into the Polish legal system. The scientific community widely criticised this regulation at the stage of the legislative process and assessed it as being hasty and ill-conceived. The statue was alleged to be only a response to the social demand arising out of fear of prison release of the extremely dangerous perpetrators who had been serving the sentence of 25 years’ imprisonment. Doubts of the doctrine were focused on the manner of defining the subjective scope of the Act. It was assessed as imprecise and arousing fundamental interpretative doubts which may result in its provisions being referred to the overly wide range of addresses. The analysis of the case-law of common courts and the Supreme Court indicates, however, that the regulation is applied with great caution and the courts use the procedural possibilities resulting from the non-contentious civil procedure to prevent unauthorized interference with human freedom and its status as a legal entity.
Przedmiotowa ustawa wprowadziła do polskiego porządku prawnego instytucję izolacji postpenalnej. Regulacja ta jeszcze na etapie prac legislacyjnych była szeroko krytykowana przez środowiska naukowe jako wprowadzona pospiesznie i w sposób nieprzemyślany. Zarzucano jej, że stanowiła jedynie odpowiedź na społeczne zapotrzebowanie, wynikające z obawy przed opuszczeniem zakładów karnych przez sprawców najcięższych przestępstw, którzy kończyli odbywanie kary 25 lat pozbawienia wolności. Wątpliwości doktryny koncentrowały się wokół sposobu określenia zakresu podmiotowego ustawy. Wskazywano, że jest on nieprecyzyjny i budzi zasadnicze wątpliwości interpretacyjne, co skutkować może odnoszeniem jej postanowień do zbyt szerokiego kręgu adresatów. Analiza orzecznictwa sądów powszechnych i Sądu Najwyższego wskazuje jednak, że regulacja stosowana jest z ostrożnością, a sądy wykorzystują istniejące możliwości procesowe, wynikające z trybu nieprocesowego postępowania cywilnego w celu zapobiegania nieuprawnionej ingerencji w wolność człowieka oraz jego status jako podmiotu prawa.

Opis:
One of the tasks of preventive medicine as part of sexual prophylaxis is to improve sexual culture. Sexual culture is the entirety of sexual life of a society that origins from magic, religion and ideology in its aesthetic, emotional, family and social manifestations. It permeates art, affects the law, creates its own myths, models of love, ars amandi, norms and customs serving as social rituals. The moral transformations taking place in all countries of the Western cultural area are manifested first of all by the loosening of traditional norms regulating sexual intercourse. Increasingly, researchers sensitize adults to the growing popularity of the so-called orgiastic sex, in which the escalation of sexual stimuli (influenced by alcohol and/or drugs) is associated with the lack of ethical standards and principles, which causes the preference of various atypical (eg. group sex) and deviant forms of sexual activity (eg. sadistic sex). The aim of the research presented in this study was to get to know the sexual culture of Polish and Ukrainian students. Research problems have focused on the following questions: What does the sexual culture mean for the respondents? How many times have the respondents betrayed their partner? How often do the respondents talk to their partners about sexual needs?

Opis:
Health education is related to the health promotion. This is a process aimed to shaping people’s habits of taking care of their and other people’s health. The sexual education can be considered as one of the health education departments. The article attempts to show the answer to the question how in the pages of the “Sexual World” coming out in Lviv in 1905-1906, how to prevent and cope during the illness was taught, and suggested where to look for the medical care, especially in the case of venereal diseases, which are often side effects of prostitution.

Opis:
Introduction: Young people serving as volunteers in international projects show a different risk profile to “normal” travellers. Data are scarce. While infectious risks were published elsewhere we focus now on non-infectious risks. Material and methods: 153 questionnaires, obtained from volunteers returning from their project were evaluated. Questions included age, situation abroad (living space and work), travel experience, region of the project, language skills, pre-travel advise, type of problems abroad (accidents, traffic, violence, robbery, sexual assault, psychosocial stress etc.). Results: Several factors, normally not included in pre-travel advice, cause significant psychosocial stress which decreases a bit during the stay. Special problems are insufficient language skills, (subjective) safety at night, traffic / transport, and violence. Psychosocial stress was the most important reason to stop the activity and to return home ahead of schedule (4% of all volunteers). Conclusions: Pre-travel advice of young volunteers should include psychosocial factors and other topics additional to infectious diseases, vaccination, and hygiene. Sufficient training in common but minor medical problems (headache, sunburn, minor wounds) is a “must”. A comprehensive advice and training may need two days and may be realized in groups of 5 to 12 participants. Health and safety should become a more important topic of all projects.

Przedstawiony model integruje koncepcje kliniczne i kryminologiczne, aby służyć jako narzędzie poszukiwania optymalnych odpowiedzi na wyzwania związane z profilaktyką wykorzystywania seksualnego dzieci. Jego celem jest stworzenie kompleksowej polityki prewencyjnej, która ma jasno określone zadania i opiera się na najlepszych dostępnych dowodach empirycznych i podstawach teoretycznych.
The paper presents the integrated model of child sexual abuse prevention elaborated by Smallbone, Marshall and Wortley with some practical examples of applications. The described model integrates clinical and criminological concepts to look for the optimal solutions for challenges related to the child sexual abuse prevention. It aims at forming a more comprehensive prevention policy, with clearly appointed tasks and being based on the best available empirical and theoretical knowledge.
