RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of the article is to identify opportunities of shaping active attitudes of students inherent in the very essence of educational services and the evaluation of the current degree of involvement of students of postgraduate in contributing to educational services. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: To achieve the objective of the article, the theoretical part is written based on literature studies (Polish and foreign). The empirical part uses the results of a survey conducted among students (223 persons) of postgraduate accounting courses at the Cracow University of Economics. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The article is divided into several parts, respectively: (1) Entrepreneurship is defined as an active attitude, (2) educational services are presented as a product co-created by the service provider and the customer, (3) results of the study on the evaluation of the active postgraduate student attitudes are presented, (4) conclusions of the study are provided and opportunities to activate students to co-create the educational service they use. RESEARCH RESULTS: Literature studies indicate that in the essence of services (and in particular educational services), there are significant possibilities to shape the attitudes of their active participants. Empirical studies show, however, that this potential is not fully used. Only 50% of the participants of the study stated that the teachers allowed the students to actively influence the course of the classes. Every fourth participant admitted simultaneously they took advantage of such possibilities extensively. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATION: Full use of the possibilities inherent in the essence of the educational service to build enterprising attitudes requires changing the attitudes of the teachers in the first place. Because the study presented in the article was fragmentary it seems justified to conduct similar studies regarding other types of courses and among other teachers.

Two different approaches to assess and map the potential of regulating agroecosystem services have been used, the assessment of the potential of regulating agroecosystem services based on a composite index and the assessment of the potential of individual regulating agroecosystem services were used in the Krupina study area. The overall composite index indicates a general overview of the performance of an agrosystem in terms of providing ecocosystem services. Result from our study showed that the composite index accumulates information on soil condition and its ability to perform regulating agroecosystem services, mainly the potential of water regime regulation and cleaning potential of ecosystem. The modeling and evaluation of individual regulating services allows more detailed assessment of regulating agroecosystem services and defiing the sources of variability and spatial differences. Moreover, the methodology developed in this paper is replicable and can be applied by planners if they are profiient in geographic information systems (GIS).

The core components of NATO's automated information systems (AIS) include directory services (DS), e-mail, web services, and military message handling systems (MMHS) to exchange information with similar capabilities in NATO's member nation systems or systems that are under control of multi-national coalitions. NATO has developed the concept of information exchange gateways (IEGs) to meet this requirement. This paper introduces the concept of combining symmetric co-operative zones (CZs) to form these information exchange gateways. A generic framework for the co-operative zone network and security architecture is introduced in support of co-operative zone development. It is shown how a co-operative zone network interface can be integrated with the NATO general-purpose segment communications system (NGCS). Development of the NATO co-operative zones is based on an evolutionary approach. A baseline co-operative zone configuration, supporting directory services, e-mail and web services, has been tested and validated on the allied systems interoperability testbed (ASIT). This paper reports the results of the test and validation program. The paper concludes with an overview of planned evolutionary steps for co-operative zone development. Subjects covered in this overview are extension of information services, enhancement of security architecture, and operational deployment (i.e., scalability and manageability).

W artykule dokonano przeglądu metod stosowanych w sieciach satelitarnych z satelitami geostacjonarnymi i niegeostacjonarnymi w celu realizacji szerokopasmowych służb łączności z naziemnymi stacjami stacjonarnymi i przenośnymi. Rozpatrzono różne aspekty rozwoju systemów, zwłaszcza zagadnienia transmisji multimedialnych i szybkich połączeń internetowych przy zastosowaniu szerokopasmowych metod dostępu, wspólnej pracy systemów GSO i NGSO i metod efektywnego zarządzania systemami satelitarnymi.
Broadband satellite systems are an integral part of communications technology, providing wide range of services. Their importance mainly results from the rapid growth of Internet, PC and interactive services usage. The article provides a review of technologies employed in geostationary (GSO) and non-geostationary (NGSO) satellite networks for provision of broadband services to fixed and portable ground terminals. Different aspects of development of these systems are considered, especially: transmission of multimedia content and fast Internet services using broadband access, sharing between GSO and NGSO satellite networks and effective management of satellite systems.

Artykuł dotyczy kwestii jakości usług publicznych. Poza aspektem teoretycznym dotyczącym jakości usług, zaprezentowano również wyniki badania oceny jakości usług realizowanych przez gminę Zbrosławice. Badanie objęło 3 rodzaje usług: dostawę wody, odbiór odpadów oraz budownictwo komunalne. Wyniki umożliwiły sformułowanie wniosków dotyczących oceny tych usług oraz rekomendacji dla ich rozwoju i doskonalenia.

Korzystanie z usług mechanizacyjnych umożliwia bardziej wydajne realizowanie prac polowych oraz daje możliwość wprowadzania postępu naukowo-technicznego bez konieczności ponoszenia dodatkowych nakładów inwestycyjnych. W artykule próbowano określić tendencje występujące na rynku usług mechanizacyjnych dla rolnictwa w Polsce w latach 2010-2017. Badano zmiany liczby podmiotów świadczących usługi mechanizacyjne, a także dynamikę wartości zakupionych usług mechanizacyjnych oraz udział usług w całości nakładów ponoszonych na produkcję rolniczą. Stwierdzono, że w latach 2010-2017 wzrost znaczenia usług mechanizacyjnych w krajowym rolnictwie został zahamowany. Wartość zakupionych usług wyrażona w cenach stałych uległa zmniejszeniu. Spadkową tendencję odnotowano również w udziale usług mechanizacyjnych w zużyciu pośrednim. Liczba podmiotów świadczących usługi mechanizacyjne dla rolnictwa wprawdzie wzrosła, jednak wzrost był obserwowany jedynie w początkowych latach analizowanego okresu. Od 2015 r. liczba podmiotów systematycznie malała. Słabnące zainteresowanie usługami mechanizacyjnymi prawdopodobnie wynika z pewnego nasycenia gospodarstw nowoczesnym sprzętem rolniczym w związku z inwestycjami wspomaganymi środkami finansowymi UE.
The article attempts to identify trends on the market of mechanization services for agriculture in Poland in 2010-2017. Changes in the number of entities providing mechanization services, as well as the dynamics of the value of purchased mechanization services and the share of services in total expenditures incurred on agricultural production were analyzed. It was found that in 2010-2017 the increase in the importance of mechanization services was halted. The value of purchased services expressed in fixed prices decreased. A downward trend was also noted in the share of mechanization services in intermediate consumption. Although the number of entities providing mechanization services for agriculture increased, the increase was only observed in the initial years of the analyzed period. The weakening interest in mechanization services is probably due to a certain saturation of farms with modern agricultural equipment in connection with investments supported by EU financial resources

The aim of this article is to show the impact of demographic changes on the situation in the services of the Silesian Voivodeship and its selected cities. The analysis covers the period of 1999–2019. The method of comparative analysis was applied in the study. The presented material does not allow defining the nature of this impact unambiguously. The dominant trend in the population decline in the voivodship and in most of its cities does not automatically result in a decline in the level of the development of services. We also observe stabilization or even its increase. This also applies to those services that are addressed to people of pre-working age, i.e. the group with the largest regression in the population. However, the dynamic growth in the number of seniors results in a significant increase in the number of institutions and social programs addressed to them. Yet, there is no doubt that services addressed to the elderly do not fully meet the needs of this group of residents today, and taking into account demographic forecasts, they must show high dynamics of development in the forthcoming years.

The article deals with the practical aspects of the prices formation of the mechanized services for households. The volumes of production of agricultural products by households in the dynamics were presented in the article. The manners of processing of land and the ratio of their shares were represented. The data used by the authors of the sociological survey were received to identify trends in price changes for mechanized agricultural services. On the basis of the conducted questionnaire survey, the analysis of changes in the price and cost of the main types of mechanized services consumed by households in the process of agricultural activity, the approaches and motives of service providers to the formation of their prices were studied, the reasons for the deviations of actual prices for mechanized services against substantiated. The factors of choice of buyers of agricultural agricultural services were filed. The calculation of prices for agricultural agricultural services according to the complexity of their implementation was carried out. The determinants of the price of production mechanized agricultural services were analyzed. The dynamics of the presence of tractors and combine harvesters in the farms of the rural population of the Lviv region is shown in this study.

Participatory activation – as I understand it – is aconscious involvement in the activities of social services (social welfare services and employment services) by the beneficiaries of these services, that is the unemployed and other people who are, because of their life situation, forced to rely on social welfare and who in consequence are at risk of social exclusion. Because of the awareness of their situation, the citizens receiving support from social welfare system feel co-responsible for the actions taken to help them. The specialist cooperating with such a citizen treats him or her as a partner and is able to offer services better suited to his or her needs. Achieving this state of affairs requires increased efforts from the public social and employment services. The aim of my article is to show that bringing a citizen to the state of employment, and thus social inclusion, is obtained thanks to the cooperation between service providers (in this case labour offices and social welfare centres) and citizens themselves. Let me say, that the development of participatory activation of citizens in the recent years has helped to increase the effectiveness of the social service as a whole.

Outsourcing is one of the most popular phenomenon in today’s global economy. It can be defined as handing over some processes or services to an external company. In contrast shared services model is based on providing certain service by one part of the organization to the other parts, most commonly used in case of HR or IT services, but also payroll, accounting and others. The goal of this article is to describe briefly these two phenomena, showcase the examples from the international business environment and in the end compare these processes. Shared services model is mostly focused on optimizing: people, capital, time and other corporate resources. Shared services sector is developing rapidly in Poland thanks to highly-skilled workforce, good infrastructure and competitive labor costs. South-east Asia remains top outsourcing destination in the world, Cracow is ranked on 8th place among top outsourcing destinations in the world.
