Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono przebieg badań naczepy wydłużonej o 1,3 m w Polskich warunkach eksploatacyjnych i uzyskanie wiarygodnego materiału porównawczo-badawczego, mogącego stanowić podstawę do decyzji o ewentualnym wprowadzeniu tego typu przedłużonych naczep do normalnej eksploatacji. Badania te zostały przeprowadzone symulacyjnie i eksploatacyjnie w celu porównania wyników.
This paper presents the testing process of the extended semi-trailer by 1.3 m in the Polish operating conditions and obtaining a reliable material for comparison and research, which could provide a basis for decisions on the possible introduction of this type of extended semi-trailers into normal operation. These tests have been carried out by simulation and operationally in order to compare the results.

Opis:: In this work are defined steels requirements, which are used in the construction of semi-trailers car. Mechanical properties and fatigue of selected high-strength steel are shown in the paper. Complete characterization of the tested materials will be the base to identify new applications of these material in the construction of semi-trailers. From the practical point of view the durability of some components in the automotive industry and similar technical applications such as special semitrailers is ranging between 10⁸ and 10¹⁰ cycles. But, only few experimental results beyond 10⁷ cycles are available now. The main objective of this research was to provide independent results to the company which uses Hardox steel in the construction of semitrailers.
