Opis:: After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Belarus inherited a substantial fleet of warplanes. The Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, effective since 1992, obliged Belarus to reduce its air force. In 1996–2010 Belarusian air force underwent the majority of organizational changes. Limited technological and financial resources contributed to gradual reduction of Belarusian military aviation. Today Belarusian air force is not able to replace the recalled warplanes with new constructions. In the immediate years the difficulties of Belarusian air force should be expected to grow as the combat potential decreases.

Opis:: The Persian Gulf region is one of the most important areas in current global security system. Vast energy resources located in the region are essential for world’s economic stability and development, which also brought constant foreign penetration of the Persian Gulf system.The Gulf Cooperation Council has been established in 1981 and since then it plays an important role as one of the regional security mechanisms. In the article the reasons behind organization’s formations are described, as well as an evolution of the integration processes is shown in historical perspective. Also, the socio-economic and military positions of the GCC members are analyzed and the main challenges faced by the organization are pointed out. The GCC still serves as coordination agenda rather than strict integration organization but in the last years we may notice growing efforts to strengthen the GCC’s mechanisms.

Opis:: The article presents measures taken by the Polish government and public institutions to counteract the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the labour market and in the sphere of social security. It discusses the solutions adopted as part of the aid package (the so-called Anti-crisis Shields), giving the scale and costs of this support.
Artykuł przedstawia działania, jakie zostały podjęte przez rząd polski i instytucje publiczne, aby przeciwdziałać negatywnym skutkom pandemii koronawirusa na rynku pracy i w sferze zabezpieczenia społecznego. Omówiono rozwiązania, jakie zostały przyjęte w ramach pakietu pomocowego (tzw. tarcze antykryzysowe), podając skalę i koszty tego wsparcia.

Opis:: At the beginning of the paper very brief history of contemporary South African foreign policy is presented (period of apartheid and transition) and fundamental changes of the goals of South African foreign policy after 1994 are also depicted. The analysis is focused on engagement of the RSA in Africa and especially in Southern Africa in the context of peace and security. Special attention is drawn into South African activities in the United Nation's and African Union's peace-making and peace-building operations as well as peace negotiations of the South African presidents: Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma. Also the RSA efforts for global peace and security are taken into account.
