Opis:: The aim of the article is to apply Raymond Boudon’s theory of educational inequalities to the analysis and explanation of educational inequalities in Poland. The theory of primary and secondary effects of stratification was tested among the groups of middle school students (N = 1787) and secondary school leavers (N = 1168). The results of the analyses in both groups confirmed the presence of all the mechanisms of educational inequalities formulated within Boudon’s theory. First of all, the influence of one’s standing and capitals on the attitude towards education was observed. The students from middle classes more often valued tertiary education highly and noticed the relationship between higher education and life success. Secondly, educational performance was higher among the students of higher status, equipped with capitals. Thirdly, in the case of identical educational achievements, more ambitious educational choices were made by students of higher status. Fourthly, the influence of middle schools on educational aspirations has been discovered. The results of the research confirmed the validity of the theory of effects of stratification and proved its relevance and usefulness in terms of researching the effects of educational changes in Poland.

Opis:: This paper studies the theoretical relationships between core research lines of sociology, such as intergenerational mobility, class structure and cultural capital, with educational mismatches. By educational mismatch we mean two things. Firstly, an individual can be horizontally mismatched whereby their field of study is inadequate for the job.Another direction of educational mismatch is the so called vertical mismatch, where the worker possesses more/less education than the job requires resulting in over-/under-education. While analyzing the educational mismatches we keep present the conclusions of Rational Action Theory on individuals’ rational choices in their educational careers.We arrive to conclusions where the influences between educational mismatches and social classes are bidirectional and one can establish fairly clear theoretical links between class of origins and likelihood of being educationally mismatched.

Opis:: Bacteria producing secondary metabolites with antagonistic effects on fungal pathogens have received attention during the last decades as an alternative to chemical pesticides. They, however, might also have effects on indigenous soil organisms like bacteria and protozoa, the latter ones being among the most important grazers of bacteria in soil. The present study reports on the effect of the potential biocontrol agent Pseudomonas fluorescens CHA0 and its genetically modified derivative CHA0/pME3424 on indigenous soil bacteria and protozoa in a soil system. CHA0/pME3424 overproduces two of the secondary metabolites produced by CHA0: the polyketide antibiotics pyoluteorin (Plt) and 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG). P. fluorescens CHA0/gfp1 and CHA0/pME3424 both negatively affected the abundance of soil bacteria and protozoa and the genetic community structure of Kinetoplastida studied by PCR-DGGE. The negative effects were detectable after 14 days but were decreasing and are expected to be temporary. The overproducer of secondary metabolites did not differ in effect from the wild type. The soil respiration and bacterial genetic community structure were not significantly affected. The study shows the soil bacteria and protozoa to be temporary affected by bacteria producing secondary metabolites, which can have implications for nutrient-cycling in soil and environmental risks of biocontrol agents.

Bezpieczeństwo obejmuje aspekty polityczne, militarne, czynniki ekonomiczne i technologiczne, ekologiczne, społeczne oraz humanitarne. Oprócz przedstawionych czynników od zarania dziejów świata odgrywają czynniki naturalne, które są niezależne ale należy się z nimi bardzo liczyć. Wraz z rozwojem techniki wkroczyliśmy w zagrożenia techniczne, które są z jednej strony niezbędne w życiu codziennym człowieka a z drugiej strony bardzo zagrażaj ą człowiekowi. Przedstawione powyższe rodzaje zagrożeń zostały w sposób syntetyczny scharakteryzowane i opisane. Należy podkreślić, że przedstawione zagrożenia nie wyczerpują wszystkich, bo wraz z rozwojem techniki powstają coraz nowsze. Wskazane zagrożenia w różnym stopniu dotyczą bezpieczeństwa narodowego Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej.
In this article different sorts and sources of threats to security were discussed. The threats which belong to the values have long been held dear and protected by both an individual and nations since the dawn of humankind. Security includes political and military aspects as well as economic, technological, ecological, social and humanitarian factors. There are also natural aspects, apart from the factors presented above, which play their part from the beginning of the human history to be taken into account .Together with the advancement of technology people entered the era of technological threat. The threat that on the one hand is indispensable in everyday life but on the other threatens increasingly a man. The presented above sorts of threats have been characterized and described in a synthetic way It should be underlined that the threats presented do not exhaust all of them as newer and newer threats appear together with the technological development. The pointed out threats, are related to the national security of the Republic of Poland in a different degree.
