Opis:
The article analyzes the scientific activity of university faculty members over the past five years in the context of three periods: before COVID-2019, during COVID-2019, and during the war in Ukraine. The study was conducted among 26 university faculty members of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, which is temporarily relocated due to the occupation of the city of Berdyansk. The results shows that the most effective period of scientific activity over the past five years was the period of 2021, specifically the second year of COVID-2019. The factors that hindered this process during peacetime were analyzed, including excessive workload with organizational and methodological work, and during wartime, emotional exhaustion due to war. The results demonstrate that young university faculty members with less than 10 years of experience are the most active in the field of scientific activity, which did not change and even tended to increase, despite the objective circumstances that affected more experienced colleagues. The alarming dynamics of factors that hinder the scientific activity of university faculty members both in peacetime and in wartime indicate the need to review strategies for university faculty members at the national and university levels.
 Artykuł analizuje działalność naukową nauczycieli akademickich na przestrzeni ostatnich pięciu lat w kontekście trzech okresów: przed COVID-2019, w czasie COVID-2019 oraz w czasie wojny na Ukrainie. Badanie przeprowadzono wśród 26 nauczycieli akademickich Państwowego Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego w Berdiańsku, który jest czasowo przesiedlony w związku z okupacją miasta Berdiańsk. Z uzyskanych danych wynika, że najbardziej efektywnym okresem aktywności naukowej w ciągu ostatnich pięciu lat był rok 2021, a konkretnie drugi rok COVID-2019. Analizie poddano czynniki utrudniające ten proces w czasie pokoju, w tym nadmierne obciążenie pracą organizacyjną i metodyczną, a w czasie wojny wyczerpanie emocjonalne wywołane wojną. Wyniki wskazują, że najbardziej aktywni w zakresie działalności naukowej są młodzi nauczyciele akademiccy ze stażem poniżej 10 lat, która nie uległa zmianie, a nawet miała tendencję wzrostową, pomimo obiektywnych okoliczności, które dotknęły bardziej doświadczonych kolegów. Niepokojąca dynamika czynników utrudniających aktywność naukową nauczycieli akademickich zarówno w czasie pokoju, jak i wojny wskazuje na potrzebę przeglądu strategii dla nauczycieli akademickich na poziomie krajowym i uniwersyteckim.

Opis:
This paper presents the analysis of the writings of Archbishop Josyf Slipyi (1892–1984). All of them were collected, systematized, and published during 1968–2003 by his close collaborators – Ivan Khoma, Ivan Yatsiv, Yurii Fedoriv, and Ivan Muzycka. The title of this work is “Opera Omnia Josephi (Slipyi-Kobernyckyj-Dyčkovskyj) archiepiscopi maioris”. Today, we have eighteen volumes of scientific works, sketches, reviews, monographs, travel notes and articles. All of them were previously published in various editions. In the article, we divide them into two blocks. The first part is the writings of the first period of Josyf Slipyi’s activity. Most of them have theological content. The other part is the texts with different objectives: the philosophical and theological dimension, the history of dogmas, the history of ecclesiastical culture, and the historical essays: pedagogical, biographies and articles. The author deals with different themes in daily life. The value of Josyf Slipyi’s writings is the possibility of understanding the situation of his time. His suggestions remain current even today, not only for the ecclesial hierarchy but also for all Christians. Archbishop Josyf worked hard all his life for the Church’s and his homeland’s good. He had a broad vision and never focused on working in a specific direction, but he cared about providing a wide range of spiritual, material and cultural needs of Ukrainians and then in the Diaspora. He left a valuable legacy to his descendants, particularly in his scientific works.
В статье представлен анализ сочинений архиепископа Иосифа Слипого (1892–1984). Все они были собраны, систематизированы и изданы в 1968–2003 годах его ближайшими сотрудниками (как Иван Хома, Иван Яцив, Юрий Федорив, Иван Музыцка). Название этого произведения «Opera Omnia Josephi (Slipyi-Kobernyckyj-Dyčkovskyj) archiepiscopi maioris». Cегодня мы имеем восемнадцать томов научных трудов, очерков, обзоров, монографий, путевых заметок и статей. Все они ранее публиковались в различных изданиях. В статье мы разделим их на два блока. Первая часть – это сочинения первого периода деятельности Иосифа Слепого. Большинство из них имеют богословское содержание. Другая часть – это тексты разного назначения: философско-богословского содержания, истории догматов, истории церковной культуры, исторические очерки: педагогические, биографии и статьи. Автор затрагивает разные темы повседневной жизни. Ценность сочинений Иосифа Слипого состоит в возможности осмысления ситуации своего времени. Его предложения остаются актуальными и сегодня не только для церковной иерархии, но и для всех христиан. Архиепископ Иосиф всю свою жизнь много трудился и на благо Церкви, и на благо своей Родины. Он обладал широким кругозором и никогда не концентрировался на работе в каком-то конкретном направлении, но заботился об обеспечении широкого круга духовных, материальных и культурных потребностей украинцев, а затем и диаспоры. Он оставил ценное наследие своим потомкам, особенно в своих научных работах.

Artykuł poświęcony jest jednemu z zasłużonych polskich uczonych i nauczycieli akademickich, Stanisławowi Franciszkowi Tyncowi. W jego biografii naukowej i zawodowej należy wyróżnić dwa okresy: międzywojenny i powojenny. W tekście skoncentrowano się na ukazaniu jego działalności dotyczącej rozwoju historii wychowania po II wojnie światowej. Wówczas był on nauczycielem akademickim w Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim. W prezentowanej refleksji skupiono się na omówieniu jego aktywności naukowo-organizacyjnej i dydaktycznej związanej z nauczaniem historii wychowania. Naszkicowano jego zasługi w kształceniu młodej kadry naukowej. Zasygnalizowano także zagadnienie udziału Tynca w życiu naukowym środowiska historyków wychowania. Artykuł opracowano wykorzystując głównie materiały archiwalne znajdujące się w Archiwum Polskiej Akademii Nauk w Warszawie, Archiwum Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz Archiwum Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Dla omówienia podjętego tematu istotna okazała się korespondencja, recenzje i opinie autorstwa Tynca oraz dokumentacja jego działalności dydaktycznej. Ze źródeł tych można odczytać jego zasługi w rozwoju środowiska naukowego historyków wychowania oraz zrekonstruować zagadnienia nauczania historii wychowania.
The article is devoted to one of the most distinguished Polish scholars and academic teachers, Stanisław Franciszek Tync. In his academic and professional biography, two periods should be distinguished: the interwar period and the postwar period. The text focuses on a presentation of his activities concerning the development of the history of education after the Second World War. At that time, he was an academic teacher at the University of Wrocław. The presented reflection focuses on the discussion of his scientific, organizational, and didactic activity related to teaching the history of education. His merits in educating young scientific staff are also outlined. The issue of Tync’s participation in the scientific life of historians of education is also discussed. The article was prepared using mainly archival materials from the Archives of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Archives of the Jagiellonian University, Archives of the University of Wrocław. The correspondence, reviews, and opinions of Tync, as well as the documentation of his didactic activity, turned out to be crucial for any discussion of the topic. From these sources, we can read Tync’s contribution to the development of the scientific community of educational historians and reconstruct the issues of teaching the history of education.

The article presents the person and work of Rev. Idzi Benedykt Radziszewski in the history of the city of Lublin. In the first part, attention is paid to the socio-historical context and the concept of the Universityof Lublin as well as organizational work. Subsequently, issues related to the beginning of the university and the first inauguration of the academicyear, its identity and the involvement of Rev. Radziszewski in the wider context of the social life of the city of Lublin were addressed.

The authors state that the rapid penetration of design into every field of human life, the convergence of material production with art, the development of design technologies, and increasing the social impact of design have significantly heightened professional requirements for modern designers. However, the modern system of design education does not prepare students for the challenges they will face in the nearest future. W prezentowanym szkicu przybliżono biografię prof. Wandy Bobrowskiej-Nowak (1925–2003), polskiego historyka wychowania, która prowadziła działalność dydaktyczną i naukową w Uniwersytecie Łódzkim i Uniwersytecie Śląskim w Katowicach. Swoje zainteresowania badawcze koncentrowała wokół historii oświaty, pedagogiki resocjalizacyjnej, opiekuńczej, terapii i edukacji wychowawczej oraz historii polskiej psychologii. Pełniła wiele funkcji, m.in. była kierownikiem Zakładu Historii Wychowania, dyrektorem Instytutu Pedagogiki oraz dziekanem Wydziału Pedagogiki i Psychologii Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach. Bobrowska-Nowak miała wileńskie korzenie i współpracowała z Uniwersytetem Polskim w Wilnie. Była promotorem wielu prac magisterskich i jedenastu prac doktorskich. Rezultatem prowadzonych badań i twórczego wysiłku w zakresie historii wychowania, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem historii wychowania przedszkolnego i dziedzictwa polskiej psychologii, są liczne prace naukowe i artykuły, przybliżające jeden z głównych filarów pedagogiki. Bobrowska-Nowak wniosła duży wkład w rozwój myśli pedagogicznej i jej przemianę. Jej publikacje są cenną pomocą dla historyków wychowania, pedagogów, studentów pedagogiki i służą zaszczepieniu kultu dla tradycji wychowania i edukacji.
In the presented research, a biography of Prof. Wanda Bobrowska-Nowak (1925–2003) is presented. She was a Polish historian of education who carried out her didactic and scientific activity in the University of Łódź and the University of Silesia in Katowice. Her scientific interests were mostly focused on the history of education, resocialization, care pedagogy, therapy, as well as on moral education and history of Polish psychology. She held numerous academic positions, among others being the Head of the Department of History of Education, the Head of the Institute of Pedagogy and the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Bobrowska-Nowak had family ties with Vilnius and she collaborated with the Polish University located in Vilnius. She was a supervisor of numerous MA theses and eleven doctoral dissertations. Her fruitful scientific research and creative effort in the field of history of education (with a special focus on pre-school education in Silesia and the output of Polish psychology) have resulted in many scientific works and articles, which brought closer one of the mainstays of pedagogy. Bobrowska-Nowak has made a tremendous contribution to the development of pedagogical thought and its transformations. Her publications are of precious aid for historians of education, educators, and pedagogy students. Moreover, they can be helpful in instilling respect for the tradition of didactics and moral education.

Opis:
The rapid development of the society requires changes in technologies and methods of the educational process. Therefore, the implementation of innovative technologies aimed at individual approach, mobility and distance in education is necessary and inevitable. In this regard, modern higher education institutions must radically change their educational objectives, update the content of education, implement innovative technologies in the development of student personality as a subject aimed at developing a competent person who is creative in solving problems. Nowadays, the students and teachers are the most important figures in educational institutions who should work creatively, learn, improve themselves as well as the teachers must work to develop and improve methods of teaching and education, including interactive ones. The article is devoted to the problem of preparing foreign students of specialized specialties for professionally oriented innovative technologies. Problems related to various methods and techniques of innovative technologies are highlighted. Emphasis is placed on the process of professional foreign language training, which should be aimed at the development of creative personality, its self-improvement, the formation of socially active and independent people in the context of intercultural dialogue, the disclosure of creative potential. The basic principles of realization of the communicative approach as a communicative method of teaching speech activity in the specialty in foreign language classes (Ukrainian) are formulated. The main features of the presentation as one of the types of information processing of the text as a practical result of research conducted in the framework of interactive forms of learning. The stages of preparation of foreign students to create and conduct a presentation on the specialty in foreign language classes (Ukrainian) are considered. The importance of formation of foreign language communicative competence in the context of professional training of future specialists is proved, attention is focused on one of the main types of information processing of professional text – compression. The list of features of presentation as one of the types of compression of a scientific text is given, the main stages of preparation of foreign students for creating and conducting a presentation in the specialty in foreign language classes (Ukrainian) are analyzed. It is proved that teaching compression is the formation of students’ culture of working with scientific text, improving skills and abilities of understanding, analysis of scientific text and writing a secondary scientific text based on the disclosure of the semantic structure of the original text.
Стрімкий розвиток суспільства вимагає необхідності змін у технологіях та методиках навчального процесу. Тому впровадження інноваційних технологій, спрямованих на індивідуальний підхід, мобільність та дистанційність в освіті, є необхідним і неминучим. У зв’язку з цим сучасні заклади вищої освіти повинні докорінно змінити освітні завдання, актуалізувати зміст навчання, застосовувати інноваційні технології у розвитку індивідуальності студента як суб’єкта, спрямованого на розвиток компетентної особистості, яка підходить творчо до вирішення проблем. На сьогодні головними фігурами в освітніх закладах є студент і викладач, які повинні творчо працювати, вчитися, самовдосконалюватися, останні мають працювати над виробленням і вдосконаленням методів навчання і виховання, зокрема інтерактивних. У статті розглянуто особливості реалізації інноваційних технологій в освітній практиці та вихованні. Вказано особливості використання інтерактивних форм навчання. Висвітлено проблеми, повязані з різними методами та прийомами іноваційних технологій. Акцентовано увагу на процесі професійної іншомовної підготовки, який має бути спрямованим на розвиток творчої особистості, ії самовдосконалення, на формування соціально активної і самостійної людини в контексті діалогу культур, на розкриття творчого потенціалу. Сформульовано основні принципи реалізації комунікативного підходу як комунікативного методу навчання мовленнєвої діяльності зі спеціальності на заняттях з іноземної мови (української). Зазначено основні ознаки презентації як одного з видів інформаційної переробки тексту, як практичного результату досліджень, що проводяться в рамках інтерактивних форм навчання. Розглянуто етапи підготовки іноземних студентів до створення та проведення презентації зі спеціальності на заняттях з іноземної мови (української). Доведено важливість застосування інноваційних технологій у контексті професійної підготовки майбутніх фахівців; акцентовано увагу на одному з основних видів інформаційної переробки фахового тексту – компресії. Надано перелік ознак презентації як одного з видів компресії наукового тексту, проаналізовано основні етапи підготовки іноземних студентів до створення і проведення презентації за фахом на заняттях з іноземної мови (української). Доведено, що навчання компресії є формуванням у студентів культури роботи з науковим текстом, вдосконалення навичок та умінь розуміння, аналізу наукового тексту та написання вторинного наукового тексту, заснованого на розкритті смислової структури тексту-першоджерела.

The ‘civil law’ fi eld, which is part of the curricula of university courses of law and administration, as well as of other courses of many higher education institutions (at both master’s and bachelor’s levels), has also found its place in the curriculum of the Police Academy in Szczytno. The basis of such a solution is the assumption that the knowledge of civil law issues, although it does not belong to the basic ‘tools of work’ of police offi cers and other law enforcers, appears to be useful in some of the positions in the service. Moreover, many civil law concepts occur in the structure of criminal law institutions, and show links with legal regulations relating directly to the tasks of the Police (other services) and the official status of officers. For this reason, they are an inspiring subject matter to be researched and published on, which is done, among others, in the periodicals of the Police Academy in Szczytno.

Utwór naukowy, jako „forma wyrażenia” ustalenia naukowego, jest rezultatem kreatywnej, ale też w miarę ustandaryzowanej pracy naukowca. Ta „forma wyrażenia” podlega ochronie praw autorskich. Niemniej w środowisku naukowców zdarza się, iż jest wykorzystywana nie do końca zgodnie z regułą fire use, czyli uczciwego zapożyczenia. Na tym gruncie rodzi się zjawisko plagiatu naukowego. W zakresie tej materii zachodzi jednak trudność w rozgraniczeniu tych plagiatów naukowych, które mogą być rozumiane jako nierzetelność naukowa (oszustwo naukowe), od plagiatów karalnych z art. 115 ust. 1 pr. aut. Nie każdy plagiat naukowy jest zaś karalnym plagiatem. Aktualna formuła zna- mion z art. 115 ust. 1 pr. aut. może być jednak na tyle kauczukowa, iż problematyczne może być odróżnianie elementów utworu naukowego, które są chronione, od tych, które w ramach praw autorskich i prawa karnego – nie są chronione. Może to przyczyniać się do osłabiania konstytucyjnych zasad nullum crimen sine lege certa i stricta, oraz zagrażać wolności działalności naukowej z art. 73 Konstytucji RP.
Scientific work, as a “form of expression” of a scientific finding, is the result of a creative, but relatively standardized work of the scientist. This “form of expression” is protected under copyright law. Nevertheless, in the scientific community it happens that this is used not in accordance with the principle of fire use, i.e. fair borrowing. On this basis, the phenomenon of scientific plagiarism is born. However, there is a serious difficulty in distinguishing between these scientific plagiarisms, which can be understood as scientific misconduct (scientific fraud), from punishable ones under Art. 115 paragraph 1 of the Act on copyright and related rights. Not all scientific plagiarism is punishable plagiarism under this Article. Nevertheless, the current formula of the statutory hall- marks of this act is so elastic that it becomes a problem to distinguish the protected elements of a scientific work from those elements which are not protected from the point of view of copyright as well as criminal law. In turn, such a state of affairs may contribute to the weakening of the principle of nullum crimen sine lege certa and stricta, and thus to interference with the freedom of scientific activity under Art. 73 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.

The article reveals the opportunities, types of organization and ways to use the citizen science results at the Pedagogical University. It’s been proved that future teachers of different specialties have certain personal qualities that affect their training for scientific research activity. These qualities differ significantly. All in all, the average values of personal qualities indicators point out that future teachers can be quite successful in certain types of scientific research activities, considering their strong personal characteristics and improving the weak ones. It is proved that if the pedagogical university organizes the participation of students in citizen science, then they better develop the skills of self-organization and other personal qualities, essential for a modern teacher-researcher.

W artykule autor prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczących działalności wybranych organizacji polsko-jugosłowiańskich w okresie międzywojennym. W oparciu o dokumenty z kilku krajów (Słowenia, Bośnia i Hercegowina, Chorwacja, Ukraina i Polska) omawia funkcjonowanie dwóch najważniejszych organizacji tego typu w II RP, Stowarzyszenia Polsko-Jugosłowiańskiego w Poznaniu i Polsko-Jugosłowiańskiej Ligi we Lwowie; ich działalność kulturalną, wydawniczą, a także prezentuje środowiska, z jakich wywodzą się członkowie obydwu organizacji. Ponadto pojawia się też wątek Ligi Towarzystw Polsko-Jugosłowiańskich, która została zainicjowana w 1930 r. w Warszawie, zrzeszającej wszystkie organizacje polsko-jugosłowiańskie, w tym Poznań i Lwów.
In the article, the author presents his research on the selected Polish-Yugoslav organisations active in the interwar period. On the basis of archival materials kept in Slovenia, Bosna, Hercegovina, Croatia, Ukraine, and Poland, he discusses the two most important organisations of this type in the Second Polish Republic, the Polish-Yugoslav Society in Poznań and the Polish-Yugoslav League in Lviv. He depicts their cultural and publishing activities and presents the background of the members of both organisations. Moreover, he also touches upon the subject of the League of Polish-Yugoslav Societies, established in Warsaw in 1930, associating all Polish-Yugoslav organisations, including those from Poznań and Lviv.

This article discloses scientific, organizational, didactic and literary activity of the most outstanding Belarusian scientist, a professor of the University of Warsaw and, for many years, the head of the Department of Belarusian Studies – Alexander Barshchewski. In the article his academic achievements were outlined, the most important directions of his researches were presented and a special attention has been drawn not only to multidimensionality and interdisciplinarity of issues and problems that he had been taking up in his monographs and scientific articles, but also to impressive didactic and organizational achievements that resulted in numerous awards and prizes. Also, his poetic work has been synthetically presented and the most significant themes and motives of his lyrics, that impresses with the subtlety of artistic expression, the power of emotions and the concentration on spiritual reality, has been determined.

The main objective of the article is to present the results of the evaluation carried out among participants of a specialist training course for police operations commanders which was offered by the Police Academy in Szczytno in 2014–2019. The course in question uses a police operations simulator as a modern technology tool for responding to emergencies. Both the functionality of the simulator and a modern form of simulation training, which has replaced the previous theoretical work based on paper maps, have completely changed the methods employed for in-service training, thanks to which teaching outcomes can be achieved more effectively, and police offi cers’ skills can be developed and refi ned with practice. The use of the police operations simulator for training purposes improves police command and control systems and increases the level of in-service training received by commanding offi cers, which in turn results in an effective management of human and material resources while carrying out police operations targeted at the maintenance of public order and safety at major events, including sports events, public gatherings and ceremonies, and any different forms of disturbance to public order. Evaluated have been the following issues: assessment of the training course curriculum, the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the course, and the level of satisfaction of the respondents with their participation in the course. Of key importance has been to identify the extent to which the Police Academy’s training efforts and research projects in the area of internal security affect the development of the system of in-service training offered to police officers.

This article seeks to address the pressing issue of developing the innovative activity of the domestic economy through the use of the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, which has to do with the possibility of application of existing experience of the more developed foreign countries in order to achieve economic success. The purpose of this study is to examine the trends in the development of innovative activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, as well as to determine the distribution of the total amount of expenditures by areas of innovation. Analysis of the literature on this issue has shown that the economic development of a country depends on many factors, and the use of intellectual potential is quite a significant factor in modern society. The relevance of this issue is supported by the fact that the majority of developed countries that have high levels of national income and are distinguished by the quality of life of the population are introducing the latest innovative inventions and using them appropriately in: production, agriculture, trade and other fields of activity. The research of the development of innovation activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises of EU countries, evaluation and comparison of innovation activity of Ukraine and EU countries. The methodical tools of the study included methods of statistical analysis. The study period was 2010-2018. The object of analysis is the process of development of innovation activity of small and medium-sized enterprises, as they are the majority of enterprises in Ukraine. The article presents the results of the analysis of the state of innovation the activity of small and medium-sized enterprises, which showed that our country needs significant transformation in this direction. Studies show that increasing the turnover and the production of small and medium-sized enterprises depends on the level of innovative development. The results of the study may be useful for small and medium-sized enterprises.
