Wśród nowych źródeł danych pozwalających na analizę zachowań przestrzennych mieszkańców obszarów zurbanizowanych ważną grupę stanowią bazy powstające w procesie informatyzacji administracji oraz możliwość ich odniesienia przestrzennego poprzez dane referencyjne. W przedstawionym badaniu wykorzystano dane referencyjne Systemu Informacji Przestrzennej UM Wrocławia oraz raporty z dwóch baz zawierających informacje adresowe: ewidencji ludności oraz systemu rekrutacji elektronicznej do szkół. Przeprowadzono analizę rozkładów przestrzennych podróży dom-szkoła we Wrocławiu. Celem analizy było zbadanie różnych przestrzennych charakterystyk wyboru szkół stopnia gimnazjalnego i ponadgimnazjalnego. Następnie przeprowadzono ocenę zgodności modeli zachowań przestrzennych z danymi empirycznymi. Przebadano zgodność z rozkładami rzeczywistymi dwóch podstawowych modeli kontaktów: modelu grawitacji w dwóch wersjach funkcji oporu odległości (hiperboliczną funkcją i wykładniczą) i modelu „intervening opportunities”. W znacznej liczbie przypadków analizowane warianty modelu grawitacyjnego lepiej odtwarzają rozkłady rzeczywiste niż model „intervening opportunities”. Jednak w przypadku szkół położonych w obszarach o bardzo zróżnicowanym zagospodarowaniu albo w pobliżu silnych barier przestrzennych użycie modelu „intervening opportunities” daje dużo lepsze rezultaty. Zaletą modelu „intervening opportunities” jest prostota i powtarzalność wartości parametru oporu odległości (co ułatwia proces estymacji).
Among new data sources allowing for analysis of spatial behavior of society, the database resources that come out in the process of e-administration implementation become an important group. Thanks to existence of referential data base resources can be geocoded. In the presented research address database in Spatial Information System of UM Wroclaw as well as population registry and electronic school admission system have been used. Spatial distribution of home based – school trips of secondary and high schools in Wroclaw have been analysed in the research. The parameters of the trip distribution models have been estimated and fit of the derived models have been assessed. Two fundamental trip distribution models have been researched: gravity model and “intervening opportunities” model. Two versions of the gravity model have been taken into account: one with hyperbolic function of trip cost and exponential function. In the majority of analysed cases, gravity models reproduce empirical data better than “intervening opportunities” model. However in case of schools located in the areas of high diverse of population density, or near to strong spatial barriers, “intervening opportunities” model much better fits to the data. Simplicity of the model and repeatability of the values of its basic parameter, is the advantage of the “intervening opportunities” model.

Opis:
The history of bilingual education in Poland has its beginning in 1991, when first the French language, and later German, English and Spanish were introduced at schools at secondary level. Geography is one of the most popular subjects taught in bilingual system. In Polish schools we can observe different approaches towards bilingual education at secondary level. They are usually connected with several criteria, according to which schools in Poland organize bilingual classes. One of the most common criteria of organizing this kind of teaching is the syllabus (Polish or international) and the proportion of native and foreign languages used during lessons (usually given in percentages). Bilingual education nowadays is without doubt one of the attempts to adjust curricula to contemporary educational standards existing in Europe. A justification for encouraging bilingual approach in teaching is connected with the European Union directive, according to which all secondary school graduates should speak two foreign languages fluently. Such an idea of contemporary bilingual education is formulated in CLIL Programme (Content and Language Integrated Learning), which promotes full integration of the geography content and language learning. This is based on an assumption that during bilingual geography lessons one of the teaching goals is to practice and develop language skills, which geography teachers seem to forget. This article is an attempt to classify Polish bilingual geography education models and indicate their weaknesses and strengths.

Opis:
Chronic condition may, in time, become a specific kind of „stigma” that determines the formation of a specific “conveyor belt” which determines the trajectories of the fate of children and adolescents. Analysing the functioning of children and adolescents with a chronic condition, for which the school should provide (as for other students) the conditions of learning, both in the cognitive and in the directional aspects, one may indicate not only the imperfections of educational activities, but also a myth of noble ideas inscribed in the function of school, as a place of universal development of every student. The article is a proposal of employing, within the process of educating children and adolescents with a chronic condition, an eclectic model of activities, based on their complexity and sequentiality. The model refers to models proposed by Frederick C. Thorne, or Richard James, used in situations of crisis intervention: the equilibrium model, the cognitive model, and the social change model.

Objective of the article: The aim of this article is to synthesise the findings of relevant research articles and to demonstrate several “didactic models” of education for sustainable development (ESD) in school education. Research method: The method of narrative literature review was used to identify didactic models for ESD in school education. A short description of the context of the presented issue: The term didactic refers to the professional scholarship of teaching. In recent decades, the need to develop didactic models that would support school teaching and to allow for this adjustment in new teaching contexts has been addressed. Research has shown that school subject teachers work differently with ESD. It demands holism and pluralism, which requires embracing multiple stakeholders and communities, and a multi-disciplinary approach. Shedding light on achieving sustainability with its holist and pluralist features, this article analyses relevant research articles and demonstrates several “didactic models” for ESD in school education. Conclusions and recommendations: I propose socioscientific issues-based teaching and learning (SSI-TL) as a useful didactic model for ESD and argue for the need to embrace didactic models like SSI-TL in teacher professional development for both pre- and in-service teachers. The article explicitly considers the value of applying Communities of Practice as a theory to guide educational practices and research on education for sustainability in school science. The implications of applying the didactic models presented in the article are relevant not only for ESD, but also for students’ development of Bildung to become reflective and responsible citizens.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie aktualności myśli filozofów, logików, przedstawicieli Szkoły Lwowsko-Warszawskiej: Tadeusza Kotarbińskiego, Izydory Dąmbskiej, Kazimierza Ajdukiewicza w odniesieniu do uniwersalnych wartości.
This article aims to prove that the ideas of philosophers, logicians and representatives of the Lviv-Warsaw School: Tadeusz Kotarbiński, Izydora Dąmbska, Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz are still topical as far as universal values are concerned. The focus of philosophy is to reflect on human nature. The views presented by the representatives of the Lviv-Warsaw School on the value of man are still valid and constitute an unquestionable model to follow in education processes. Universal values, such as the truth, good, beauty, duty, responsibility, obligation, morality, wisdom, justice and accountability are the main lodestars for ethical conduct. The phenomenon of the Lviv-Warsaw School is the subject of interest of many researchers, the topic of several dissertations, and is respected by contemporary researchers. Education promoting universal values is the responsibility of general and vocational schools alike. The essence of vocational education and training is to educate and train individuals for work. Education of young people at vocational schools touches upon the question of ethics, reflections on human subjectivity, also in the context of vocational education and training, functioning in the labour market and future personal and family life. Disinterestedness and ideological zeal as timeless values, despite changing interpersonal and social relations and modern trends, pose a challenge and impose an obligation for educational circles. Promoting and conveying the idea of values is manifested in activities such as pro bono and voluntary work. Such actions serve as an evidence for the imperative to convey the idea and the public need to support and to act on behalf of inalienable, timeless values. The quality of both professional and personal life depends to a large extent on the adopted system of values. The awareness and values observed by individuals strengthen the sense of their dignity and self-esteem. Subjectivity is extremely important in education and work. A person who is the subject of activity feels appreciated, fulfils himself or herself as an employee, acts in a responsible manner and strives to perform the entrusted tasks. He or she feels satisfied with his/her job, is creative, and inspires others to take action.

The object of this article is to analyze the democratic school’s organizational model. The example used to visualize this model is the oldest democratic school in the world - 100 years old Summerhill School in Great Britain. We will put the emphasis on the vision and values on which the school was built and how it influenced the approach to children. This article will also describe solutions for teaching organization, free time and self‑government. It will also assign democratic school model to corresponding level of organization development. It will be based on the idea of Spiral Dynamics Model by Clare W. Graves. This idea has not been used in Poland to analyze organizational model of school.
Przyporządkujemy też model szkół demokratycznych do odpowiadającego im poziomu rozwoju organizacji. Posłuży do tego koncepcja dynamiki spiralnej Clare’a W. Gravesa (Spiral Dynamics Model). Koncepcja ta nie była wykorzystywana na gruncie polskim do analizy modeli organizacyjnych szkoły.

This study aimed to evaluate the dynamics of emotional and psychological behavior indicators in children aged 7-8 years in modern society. The study was conducted in 2018-2019 in Moscow (Russian Federation) and included a total of 600 children of the second – third grades in three secondary schools. The first group included children from families with high social status and higher education of both parents, the second group comprised children from middle-class families with secondary special education of parents, and the third group enrolled children from low-income families with incomplete secondary education of parents. Children were tested for aggressiveness as well as attitudes toward family members. It has been established that in the first group, the model of upbringing was dominated by hyper-socialization of the authoritarian type. In the second group, the model of education was more balanced, symbiosis and cooperation dominated, exceeding the other parameters by 1.3–1.9 times (p ≤ 0.05). In the third group, average and high levels of aggression were stated to be significantly higher – 1.6–2.2 times (p ≤ 0.01). In the third and first groups, there was a direct connection between the frequency of instrumental aggression and negative attitude towards siblings (0.65 and 0.84, respectively).

Mathematics and Music - two dierent aspects of human creativity, seemingly belonging to separate areas: science and humanities. Despite this, there are multiple well-known common elements and analogies between the two. Especially well explored is the use of mathematics in music. The opposite, which is the use of music in mathematics, seems unusual and is rarely discussed, including the educational aspect. This paper proposes an exemplary approach of using music to enrich and facilitate mathematics teaching and provides its initial empirical verification. The research presented in this paper describes an additional model which presents the possibility and efectiveness of using music to teach geometric transformations of the plane (reflection symmetry and point reflection) at 6th-7th elementary music school grade levels (12 - 13 years old students). The research initially confrmed the hypothesis that the analysis of musical themes and their transformations can be used in music schools as a new model of facilitating the mathematical understanding of reflection symmetry and point reflection. After an experimental music theory lesson concerning melody transformations and a presentation of the parallels between geometric transformations and their melodic transformation equivalents, the results of the POST-TEST in mathematics were significantly better than the PRE-TEST results for the entire experimental class. Moreover, the spontaneous transfer of knowledge from music to mathematics, concerning the understanding of point and reflection symmetry, was observed. The new musical model turned out to be a useful artifact to some students. The additional research results concern the awareness of the possibility of knowledge transfer between mathematics and music. The teachers of mathematics and music theory involved with the experimental class have not made use of the possibility of transferring musical knowledge to mathematics before, while elementary-level music school students are aware of some analogies between mathematics and music.

In the article the authors discuss the practical implementation of the model work with a plastically gifted child “Science – Art – Education”, founded at the end of 2013. As a result of implementation of the international research project. The resulting model, from the theoretical point of view, has been described in the scientific monograph edited by J. Aksman: Science – Art – Education. Innovative model of diagnosis, methods and forms of work and care for plastically gifted children. This model shows the importance of science in early school education through art, based on the innovative combination of art education and health education of children in grades 1–3 of primary school. The consequence of this combination is the intention of the authors of the project to shape life skills of the mentioned children. Theoretically reasoned innovative model Science – Art – Education (SAE) was extremely important but the initial stage of the work. Another one, which has now been adopted and which is described in the article – is associated with a wider than before application of this innovative model – with an attempt of its implementation in everyday practice of art lessons with pupils in early school age. This task involves a further, currently implemented on a research project The effectiveness of the model of work with a plastically gifted child “Science – Art – Education” in the three-year cycle of lessons (WPiNH/DS/5/2015) directed by J.
