Autorka szkicu podejmuje próbę diagnozy dzisiejszej sytuacji panującej w szkolnej metodyce „czytania” dzieł malarskich i kreśli idealną sytuację szkolnej egzegezy sztuk plastycznych, pozwalającą na wniknięcie w trzy wymiary dzieła: ontologiczny, semiotyczny i aksjologiczny. Jako przykład twórców, których obrazy dają szerokie możliwości interpretacyjne i umożliwiają odkrywanie metafizycznego wymiaru sztuki, podaje ikonografię romantyczną, a w niej malarstwo Kaspara Davida Friedricha. Zasadniczą część szkicu stanowi interpretacja dwóch obrazów niemieckiego artysty z motywem bohatera odwróconego plecami do widza. Pierwszy z nich to jedna z bardziej znanych jego kompozycji pt. Wędrowiec nad morzem chmur, drugi – nieco późniejszy obraz pt. Kobieta w oknie – przykład chętnie wykorzystywanego w ikonografii epoki romantyzmu toposu otwartego okna. Różnicami, rozstrzygającymi o wpisanych w obydwa płótna znaczeniach, jest – dowodzi autorka – płeć kreowanych postaci i miejsce, z jakiego oglądają one świat. Szkic domyka zestaw przykładowych zadań dydaktycznych mogących stanowić punkt wyjścia do szkolnych lektur przesiąkniętego mistyką malarstwa Friedricha.
The author of the sketch makes an attempt to diagnose today’s situation in school methodology of “reading” painting works and outlines the ideal situation of school fine arts exegesis allowing the insight into the three dimensions of piece of art: the ontological, semiotic and axiomatic. The author sets examples of artists who provide the vast interpretation and enable the discovery of metaphysical dimension of art, she hands the Romantic iconography and within the issue there is Caspar David Friedrich painting. The main part of the sketch consists the interpretation of two paintings by the German artist with the motif of the hero turned with the back to the spectator. The first of them is one of his most renown works titled Wanderer above the Sea of Fog also known as Wanderer Above the Mist, the second, a bit later work Woman at a window – the example of frequently used open widow motif in the iconography of the Romanticism. The differences that decide of the meaning of these two canvases – as the author proves – is the sex of created persons and the place where they perceive the world from. The sketch closes the set of examples of didactic tasks that could make the starting point to school set of books steeped in mystic of Friedrich’s paintings.

W artykule zaproponowano interpretację porównawczą dwóch typów tekstów: typograficznych w zestawieniu z literackim. Są to różne wersje napisu solidarność, w których wykorzystuje się fonty tzw. solidarycy oraz Oda do młodości Mickiewicza. Kategorie opisu oczywiste przy analizie graficznej (tło, kształt czcionki, kolor itp.) pozwalają z nowej perspektywy spojrzeć także na znany wiersz. Oba typy tekstów są zestawiane jako perswazyjne wypowiedzi o sensie, cechach i zależnościach wspólnoty oraz jednostki poszukującej w niej swego miejsca, w określonych kontekstach historyczno-społecznych.
This article proposes a comparative interpretation of two types of texts: typographic and literary, i.e. different versions of writing solidarność, which are written in three different fonts, so called Solidaryca and Ode to Youth by Adam Mickiewicz. Common categories of graphic analysis (background, form of the font, its colour etc) allow for a new perspective to look at the poem. Both types of text are compared as persuasive expressions of meaning, characteristics and mutual dependencies between the community and the individual in certain socio-historical contexts.

The aim of the study is to present the project of applied cultural studies – a result of work inspired by the output of representatives of the Poznań School of Methodology. Florian Znaniecki, Jerzy Topolski and Jerzy Kmita give a picture of culture the research of which is – to put it as briefly as possible – subjected to the principle of diversity in the models constituting it. Human motifs demand careful research precisely because they escape a simple comparison of arguments resulting from the knowledge of social facts. In accordance with this assumption the concept of applied cultural studies is accompanied by the conviction that heterogeneous systems of models of culture may become the object of development.

Analytic philosophy is sometimes understood in opposition to continental tradition. In this article, I would like to show that a Lviv‑Warsaw School shared many fundamental traits with analytic orientation. In afterwar Poland, this tradition clashed with the dialectical materialism that lacks strong scientific tradition but had the full support of the communist party. This situation produced a unique scenario in which the methodology of science could strive as a mainstream area. A crucial role was attributed to the theory of history.

The aim of the study was to identify how education actors of two historically and culturally different countries - Slovakia and England - thought about the concept ’inclusive school’. The Q-methodology was used for this purpose, yielding 7 descriptions of inclusive school. The results indicated two facts: 1) there is a jointly shared semantic field that can be interpreted as a consequence of globalization trends in education, and 2) perceptions of inclusive education are influenced by the history of educational systems in the countries studied. Research findings confirm that despite a certain convergence trend, a local discourse still remains the crucial determining factor of the conceptual grasp of this issue.

Historically there have been inequities in access to school in South Africa. Differences in languages have also contributed to difficulties. In the present study a Grade One class was observed for a term as they entered formal schooling. Cultural psychology was used as the method, developing a description of the context and narrowing the observations to ten and then five children. Five school homes visits were done and one of these case studies is described here. Given the socio-economic literacy context, the child did extremely well, being self-motivated and supported by an aware single parent. The usefulness of the Cultural Psychological method is described.

Content presented in this article is focused on the reflection of the factors determining the choice of research strategy in the analysis of school environment. Some of the elements to be examined refer to the structural and functional model of a school, others to the interpretative model. As the assumptions about the nature of school reality are completely different within these models, depending on how the school is perceived, there are different ways of designing and conducting research. It is arguable whether derived from a structural and functional model of school (the school as an environment education, positivist paradigm) only quantitative analysis are justified, and after the adoption of the interactive model (the school as a system of socio-cultural, interpretative paradigm) only qualitative research should be conducted? The choice, at the first glance, quite obvious is a matter of more complex, because the strategy of research procedure also depends on some another factors: the order in which the study is carried out, the subject and the scope of the analysis, the experience of the researcher and to some extent, to the fact who are beneficients of the results. In the first part of this article author is trying to deal with these relationships, in the second part, there are presented a few examples of analysis when using qualitative methods or strategies. Most of them are realized within the model of so-called mixed research. They are only some examples presented and they should be understood as exemplifications, not in –depth exploration. Described problems might be explained and explored in the future using other methods and techniques, as well as combining them.

This work proposes to show the experience of posture training accomplished in the Paraíba State Telecommunication Company, using the knowledge of the Back School. The sample was composed of 12 operators, employees of the company, representing 31% of this population. The model applied in TELPA (Paraíba Telecommunication Company, Brazil) was based on the models of Sherbrooke, Canada, and of the School of Posture of Paraíba Federal University. Fifty-eight point four percent of participants showed a reduction of column pain, 25% improved the quality of the rest and the received training was considered enough for the learning of correct postures at work in 75% of the cases. The whole population approved of the training, and 83.3% of the cases considered that this training influenced their lives very positively.

Na podstawie przeglądu różnych opracowań teoretycznych i badawczych dotyczących kultury szkoły można stwierdzić, że naukowe podejścia do tego zagadnienia cechuje swego rodzaju heterogeniczność. Intencją autorek jest zwrócenie uwagi na trudności związane z badaniem kultury szkoły. Autorki zaprezentowały opracowaną przez siebie procedurę badawczą jako egzemplifikację sposobu poradzenia sobie z tymi trudnościami w kontekście całościowego badania kultury szkoły. Podstawą do opracowania procedury był model kultury szkoły La Tefy Schoen i Charlesa Teddliego, który zapewnił w miarę jednolite ujęcie tego, co w odniesieniu do kultury organizacji pojawia się w różnych tradycjach badawczych.
Based on literature presenting the findings of the theoretical and research studies on the school culture, it can be concluded that the scientific approach to this issue bears a heterogenous character. The authors of the present paper analyze the difficulties associated with studying this phenomenon and then present an example of a research procedure enabling them to overcome those difficulties. This procedure was developed and later implemented by the authors on the basis of the cultural model of the school culture worked out by La Tefy Schoen and Charles Teddli. Thus, this model has provided grounds for integrating manifold theories regarding the school culture which have been rooted in various research traditions.

The study examines the impact of the Flipped Classroom (FCM) on the development of key competences for the 21st century (KC21) in future teachers. Experimental design with two parallel groups was used. The sample consisted of 122 students of the Faculty of Education, i.e., experimental group-EG (60), and control group-CG (62). The EG attended lectures implementing the FCM, while the CG received traditional instruction. Results show that there is no significant difference in self-assessment of competence development between the EG and CG related to creativity, responsible attitude towards work, health and environment. There is a significant difference in the self-assessment of competences related to socio-emotional skills, problem solving, critical thinking, information and ICT literacy and learning to learn. The conclusion is that the implementation of the FCM can influence the development of the majority of KC21.

Stanisław Tabaczyński, a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, passed away in November 2020. He was one of the most influential theoreticians of Stanisław Tabaczyński – pro memoria 183 archaeology in post-War Poland. He developed an original concept of the archaeo- logical process at the junction of the Annales school, the Poznań methodological school, and the inspirations from the Italian academic milieu cantered around the Polish-Italian Interdisciplinary Working Taskforce of Applied Sciences in Archaeology and Protection of Cultural Patrimony. Its main components com- prised long-term processes, ethnogenetic processes, and the polisemantisation of culture. He understood archaeology as the anthropology of the prehistoric past, outstretched between anthropology and history. He participated and ran numerous excavation projects in Poland and abroad. These comprised excavation campaigns carried out in the large-scale Millennium Research project in Poznań, Wrocław, Biskupin, Kołobrzeg, Grody Czerwieńskie and Nakło nad Notecią. His major achievement was the excavation of the early Medieval Sandomierz. He discovered a glassmaking workshop of the 7–8 th centuries on Torcello Island in the Venice Lagoon and participated in numerous field projects in Italy, France, and Algieria. He is the author of numerous books and articles. Among his most important publications are three-volume Theory and Practice of Archaeological Research, Przeszłość społeczna [The Social Past], Neolit środkowoeuropejski. Podstawy gospodarcze [Central European Neolithic. The economic foundations] and Archeologia średniowieczna – Problemy. Ź ródła, metody. Cele badawcze [Medieval Archaeology. It is necessary in the project method to remember that: a team should have a leader to function well setting a final subject should be an effect of negotiations between a team and a leading teacher; assessment criteria should be clearly defined and conveyed to executors yet before you start working; - a schedule allows to keep to deadlines and divide actions among the team members; - it is not necessary to convey ready solutions to children; - you should assess and appreciate children’s work at different stages; - a key to success is creating responsibility in the group; - a teacher’s task is creating work conditions for the children, supporting them, motivating to action, monitoring and making assessment work on different stages; - a presentation should be carried out competently, visually, comprehensibly, interestingly; - a final effect does not have to be convergent with a teacher’s ideas. The settlement of the aim becomes quite an essential aspect of the project. A general aim, called a strategic one, is not a task, but it determines a direction of actions. Operating aims, i.e., planned achievements are formulated on the basis of it. In order to carry out the project correctly it is necessary to monitor its course. The external evaluation will show its reception in perception of others, the internal evaluation will allow to make assessment by the project participants themselves.
