    Opis:
    Objectives: The main aim of the research was to become acquainted with the conditions of work and the tasks of the school counsellor resulting from the psychological and pedagogical help performed at educational facilities. Material and methods: The following two methods were used to obtain the research material: the diagnostic survey and assessment. Results: The results of quantitative analyses were classified into the following areas: the conditions of work, the school counsellor’s duties, the forms of pedagogical help in their work with the students, parents and teachers, the factors that influence the school counsellor’s model of work and individual features important in the profession of school counsellor. The mentioned analyses indicate that the contemporary counsellor is mainly a woman (the profession is feminised), with higher education, systematically improving and supplementing their knowledge so as to perform the tasks set by the pedagogical supervision and family, school and local environment. Conclusions: Thanks to adequate professional preparation and application of a wide range of forms of help for the students, teacher and parents, the school counsellor constitutes a significant link of psychological and pedagogical help performed at the educational facilities.

    W artykule skoncentrowano się na rozwiązaniach prawnych dotyczących szkolnego doradz-twa zawodowego w aspekcie wprowadzanej w roku szkolnym 2017/2018 reformy systemu oświaty (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem szkoły podstawowej). W związku z tym, że od 1999., czyli od momentu utworzenia szkół gimnazjalnych, do czasu ich „wygaszania”, dokumenty prawne ulegały zmianom/modyfikacjo. Dokonano ich analizy porównawczej z aktualnie proponowanymi rozwią-zaniami.
    The article focuses on legal solutions regarding school career counselling in the aspect of the reform of the education system (special emphasis put on the primary school) being introduced in the school year 2017/2018. Due to the fact that since 1999, it is from the moment middle schools were established until they are being abolished, legal documents have been changed/modified, a comparative analysis is made of them with reference to the currently proposed solutions.

    Opis:
    The amendment to the Education Act extended the mandatory tasks of school to the obligation of providing support in preparing students to enter the profession together with the area of future study. This article is an attempt of diagnosis of the school career counselling based on the research conducted in secondary schools and upper-secondary schools of Tarnów County. The purpose of the article, addressed mainly to the teachers, is to draw attention to the problems connected with the students school support (in the phase of career planning and further education) and effectiveness evaluation of the school career counselling in the context of students expectations. The first, theoretical part of the article presents an overview of formation of the decision making entity. In the second part of the paper, beginning with the sixth chapter, the results of research conducted in the last ten years in secondary and upper-secondary schools of Tarnów County are presented. The first secondary school studies confirmed the dramatic demand for advisory assistance, which was one of the essential prerequisites to create a network of school guidance centres at secondary schools. A recent study showed the progression of advisory activities. Also, the structure of support expected by the students has changed. Online students, unlike their older colleagues, do not expect help in planning but support in understanding their personality. At the end of the article, apart from the conclusions, a recommendation for widespread school career counselling is included.
    Nowelizacja Ustawy o systemie oświaty poszerzyła obowiązkowe zadania szkoły o obowiązek udzielania wsparcia w zakresie przygotowania uczniów do wyboru zawodu i kierunku kształcenia. Artykuł jest próbą diagnozy szkolnego doradztwa zawodowego przeprowadzonej na podstawie badań w gimnazjach i w szkołach ponadgimnazjalnych powiatu tarnowskiego. Celem artykułu – kierowanego głównie do nauczycieli – jest zwrócenie uwagi na problemy związane z udzielaniem uczniom wsparcia przez szkoły (pojawiające się w fazie konstruowania planów zawodowych i edukacyjnych) oraz ocena skuteczności funkcjonowania szkolnego doradztwa zawodowego w kontekście oczekiwań uczniów. W pierwszej, teoretycznej części artykułu zaprezentowano w zarysie zagadnienie kształtowania się podmiotu decyzyjnego. W kolejnych przedstawiono wyniki badań prowadzonych w szkołach gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych powiatu tarnowskiego w okresie ostatnich dziesięciu lat. Pierwsze badania gimnazjalistów potwierdziły zapotrzebowanie na pomoc doradczą, co stanowiło jedną z istotnych przesłanek do utworzenia sieci szkolnych ośrodków doradztwa zawodowego w szkołach ponadgimnazjalnych. Wyniki ostatnich badań wykazały progresję działań doradczych. Zmieniła się też struktura oczekiwanej pomocy ze strony uczniów. Obecni uczniowie – w przeciwieństwie do swoich starszych kolegów – nie oczekują pomocy w planowaniu, ale wsparcia w poznawaniu swojej osobowości. W zakończeniu artykułu – oprócz wniosków – zamieszczono rekomendację upowszechnienia szkolnego doradztwa zawodowego.

W artykule omówione zostały podstawy prawne funkcjonowania doradztwa zawodowego w polskich placówkach oświatowych. Ponadto przedstawione zostały wymagania formalne, zakres obowiązków i cechy charakteru, jakimi musi legitymować się szkolny doradca zawodowy.
    The choice of profession is a crucial decision which every young person has to make. It has a significant impact on life (professional and to a certain extent personal) of each person. Therefore, in the course of education the student can benefit from the help of specialists in the field of guidance and employment counselling. The article discusses the legal basis of employment counselling in Polish educational institutions. Moreover, it presents the formal requirements, responsibilities and traits of character which the school employment counsellor should have.

    The emergence and rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 caused uncertainty about our health, jobs, and the education system. For teachers, changes in workplaces and the breakdown of interpersonal relationships during the pandemic caused even greater stress levels in what is already known to be a stressful job. We wanted to find out if a positive or negative attitude towards online work influenced levels of stress and mental well-being, perceived difficulties at work, subjective evaluation of received support, and effectiveness of remote work during the first wave of SARS-CoV-2 in Poland. Data was collected using a questionnaire, the PSS 10 scale and another scale based on GHQ12 and GH30. Nearly one-third of the respondents indicated positive aspects of online education. Those who could see the positive aspects of online education showed themselves better adapted to the new form of working and had higher results in all four scales that we researched. They handled online tools, used synchronous methods, conducted educational activities more often, and felt competent during online work. Supporting the effectiveness of educators by improving the competencies that they need for this new form of working is vital with regard to the changes within the school institution.

    An active collaboration with teachers is a prerequisite of system based approach to school counselling. The objective of the research was examining the experiences of school counsellors regarding collaboration with teachers in the domain of student counselling in the school setting in Serbia. This research applied a pragmatist qualitative approach using a semi-structured interview. Participants were 81 elementary school counsellors (pedagogues). The results show that teachers are generally open for collaboration during student counselling. Teachers’ acceptance of advice depends on their personality and classroom management style. Conclusions offer recommendations for improving the partnership relations as a basis for effective student counselling.

    Work of a school guidance counsellor’s involves a wide range of tasks related to educational work with children and teenagers carried out in cooperation with their parents, other teachers and external entities dealing with pedagogical and psychological problems. In order to be successful in this work, it is necessary to have an individual conviction that the intended goals can be achieved, which is the central link in the sense of own agency (cf. Gliszczyńska 1983, p. 133). Supporting the development of students, establishing close interpersonal relationships that are accompanied by emotional experiences and the necessity to cope with problems are the sources of stress and mental burden. Strong emotions and unpleasant incidences frequently experienced by school counsellors may decrease the quality and effectiveness of pedagogical and psychological work with students and cause a sense of ineffectiveness (cf. Bańka, 2005, pp. 10–12). Thus, the purpose of the studies undertaken is to define the nature of relationships and interdependencies between school counsellors’ sense of effectiveness and the occupational stress experienced by them.
    Praca pedagoga szkolnego obejmuje szeroki zakres zadań dotyczących pracy wychowawczej z dziećmi i młodzieżą, realizowanych we współpracy z ich rodzicami, innymi nauczycielami i podmiotami zewnętrznymi zajmującymi się problemami pedagogiczno-psychologicznymi. Warunkiem powodzenia w tej pracy jest indywidualne przekonanie o możliwości realizacji zakładanych celów, które jest centralnym ogniwem poczucia własnego sprawstwa (por. Gliszczyńska 1983, s. 133). Wspieranie rozwoju podopiecznych, wchodzenie w bliskie relacje interpersonalne, którym towarzyszą przeżycia emocjonalne, oraz konieczność radzenia sobie z problemami stanowią źródło stresu i obciążenia psychicznego. Silne emocje i często doświadczane przez pedagogów przykre doznania mogą obniżać ich jakość i efektywność pracy pedagogiczno-psychologicznej z podopiecznymi oraz powodować poczucie braku skuteczności (por. Bańka 2005, s. 10–12). Celem podjętych badań było określenie charakteru związków i występujących zależności między poczuciem skuteczności pedagogów szkolnych a odczuwanym przez nich stresem zawodowym.

    The article describes the profile of a career counsellor against the background of historical changes in the orientation and vocational guidance system in Germany. The formal and legal conditions of the counseling profession were also described, due to the fact that in Germany there are no uniform legal regulations regarding the qualifications, training or professional status of persons providing career guidance. The results of the analysis carried out indicate that in the context of lifelong learning, education and career guidance is a link between the needs of citizens and the requirements of education and the labour market. The long tradition of well-established educational and vocational guidance in Germany is intertwined with dynamic socio-economic changes that generate new challenges for the guidance system, including the counseling profession.
    W artykule scharakteryzowano sylwetkę doradcy zawodowego na tle historycznych przemian systemu orientacji i poradnictwa zawodowego w Niemczech. Opisano również uwarunkowania formalno-prawne zawodu doradcy w związku z tym, że w Niemczech nie istnieją jednolite regulacje prawne dotyczące kwalifikacji, szkolenia czy statusu zawodowego osób zajmujących się poradnictwem zawodowym. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy wskazują, że w kontekście uczenia się przez całe życie poradnictwo edukacyjno-zawodowe stanowi łącznik między potrzebami obywateli a wymogami edukacji i rynku pracy. Długa tradycja dobrze ugruntowanego poradnictwa edukacyjnego i zawodowego w Niemczech przeplata się z dynamicznymi zmianami społeczno-gospodarczymi, które generują nowe wyzwania względem systemu poradnictwa, w tym zawodu doradcy.

    Opis:
    Work of the guidance counsellor focuses on care, education and preven-tion. The guidance counsellor supports students in the integral development. It helps them to overcome educational problems and co-works with parents. Usu-ally the activity is accompanied by his/her involvement in combating violence not only in school but also in the family. This article focuses on the basic operation of the guidance counsellor in executing “the Blue Card” procedure. The guidance counsellor’s participation in the work of interdisciplinary teams that have been appointed by the mayor or president of the city to take action to prevent domestic violence is described. Attention is drawn to possibilities governed by law to support a child from a family affected by the violence as well as to the need for professional devel-opment of teachers in the field of “the Blue Card” procedure. Only a qualified guidance counsellor, able to work in an interdisciplinary team or a workgroup can give appropriate assistance to child victims.
