Osoby, które uczestniczą w różny sposobów w tych procedurach nie są w stanie ocenić ich prawidałwo w konteście sakramentu pokuty i pojdenania. Jaka jest droga podczas której spowiednik powinien poczyć to osoby, jakie warunki muszą zostać spełnione, aby autentyczne pojednanie z Bogiem mogło mieć miejsce? Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą pokazania i przeanalizować kilka podstawowych kwestii odnoszących się do problemów związanych z zapłodnieniem "in vitro" w kontekście sakramentu pojednania i pokuty.
The practice of extracorporeal „in vitro" fertilization is spreading faster and faster. Persons who participate in many different ways in these procedures and at the same time are unable to evaluate them properly, benefit from the sacrament of reconciliation and penance. What is the way in which the confessor should receive these persons, what conditions have to be accomplished so that an authentic reconciliation with God could take place? The present article is the attempt to show and analyze some fundamental issues relating to the problems connected with „in vitro" fertilization in the context of the sacrament of reconciliation and penance. The analyses pertain to three points. The first one concerns the validity of the sacrament and discusses two main conditions of the sacrament: contrition and atonement; at the same time the need of taking into consideration the moment when the penitent asks for the sacrament with reference to the course of the „in vitro" process is discussed. The second point shows the need of taking into account different determinants on the penitent's part and the influence of these determinants on the awareness and voluntariness of activities undertaken; the author discusses also the problem of the responsibility of different persons involved in artificial fertilization. Last but not least the significance of the confessor's attitude is highlighted

Wydaje się, że refleksja dotyczące pokuty w dostępnych badaniach na temat sakramentu pokuty w pełni wyczerpuje problem natury, znaczenia i cech charakterystycznych dla tej postawy człowieka nawróconego.To nie ułatwia prezentacji zagadnień teologicznych z perspektywy współczesnej refleksji nad pokutą, zwłaszcza jeśli ma to być próba pokazania nowych aspektów, a nie tylko powtórzeniem znanych i obecnych w przeprowadzonych badaniach przemyśleń na ten temat. Wydaje się, że na podstawie współczesnej myśli możemy przedstawić kilka oryginalnych aspektów odnoszących się do rozumienia istoty i cechy nawrócenia. Należą do nich antropologiczne podstawy zrozumienia i smutek, a także trzy ważne aspekty teologiczne w akcie skruchy za grzechy, które zawierają perspektywę zbawienia, miłości i solidarności. Współczesna refleksja teologiczna na temat pokuty, zwłaszcza w podręcznikach i opracowań o sztuce spowiedzi koncentruje się na przedstawieniu definicji, rodzaju, właściwości konieczności i obowiązku tego ważnego aktu w procesie nawrócenia człowieka. Często te myśli są zgodne z prawem i brakuje im głębi teologicznej wyjaśnienia istoty pokuty. Aby chronić doświadczenie sakramentu pojednania wobec legalizmu warto kontynuować refleksję o naturze pokuty i szukać tych aspektów, które pozwalają na głębsze doświadczenie sakramentalnej pokuty i jego ustawy zasadniczej. Antropologiczne i teologiczne aspekty, przedstawione w tym artykule, a obecne we współczesnej refleksji teologicznej są punktem wyjścia dla lepszego sposobu na odkrywanie tego sakramentu.
It seems that reflection on repentance in the available studies about sacrament of penance fully draws issues of nature, meaning and characteristic features for this attitude of man, constitutive for conversion. This does not facilitate the presentation of the theological issues from the perspective of the contemporary reflection on repentance, especially if it is to be an attempt to show new aspects and not merely a repetition of known and present in the studies undertaken thoughts on the subject. It seems that on the basis of contemporary thought we can present some original aspects relating to understanding the essence and characteristics of repentance. These include anthropological basis for understanding grief, as well as three important aspects of theological act of contrition for sins, which include the prospect of love, salvation and solidarity.Contemporary theological reflection on repentance, especially in the textbooks and studies about the art of confession concentrates on the presentation of definition, type, characteristics, the necessity and the obligation of this important act for the process of man's conversion. Often these thoughts are legal and they lack the depth of the theological explanation of the essence of repentance. To protect the experience of the sacrament of reconciliation against legalism and fruitless routine is worth to continue the reflection about nature of repentance and seek those aspects that allow for a deeper experience of sacramental penance and its fundamental act, that is repentance. The anthropological and theological aspects, presented in this article and present in the contemporary theological reflection are a starting point for the better way to experience this sacrament.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia liczne zachęty Stolicy Apostolskiej wyrażane przez ojców Soboru Watykańskiego II oraz papieży Pawła VI, Jana Pawła II, Benedykta XVI i Franciszka, którzy niestrudzenie powracają do tego tematu i proponują świeckim i duchownym korzystanie z sakramentu pokuty jako drogi wzrastania w wierze i miłości.
Sacrament of penance is the privileged instrument of the pastoral of the Church, through which the faithful encounter with Christ has granted the grace of mercy, renew their spiritual life, light up in the love of God and learn to generous service to others. By the forgiveness of sins Christian hope is gaining new life and becomes a witness of the resurrection, which brings to the life of the Church dynamism enable the renewal of the world in accordance with God's plan. This article presents a number of incentives Holy See expressed by the Fathers of Vatican II and the Popes Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis, who very oft takes this topic and offer laity and clergy use of the sacrament of penance as a way to grow in faith and love.

Siostra Faustyna Helena Kowalska (1905–1938) jest jedną z największych mistyczek dwudziestego wieku. Jej teksty zanotowane w Dzienniczku i Listach są świadectwem życia wewnętrznego i przeżyć mistycznych. Sekretarka Bożego Miłosierdzia podała jasne kryteria rozeznawania duchów i postępowania wobec szatana – przeciwnika zbawienia człowieka. Święta ukazała potrzebę i głębię sakramentu pokuty i pojednania, który jest zarazem najskuteczniejszym remedium na niszczycielską siłę ducha złego. Ona dostrzegała niezwykłe działanie Trójcy Przenajświętszej w tym sakramencie, co było dla niej naturalną i realną rzeczywistością, której doświadczała w całym swoim życiu.
Sister Faustyna Helena Kowalska (1905–1938) is one of the greatest mystics of the twentieth century. Her texts recorded in the Diary and Letters are testimony to inner life and mystical experiences. The Secretary of Divine Mercy gave clear criteria for discerning of spirits and dealing with Satan – the opponent of human salvation. The Saint presented the need and depth of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, which is also the most effective remedy for the destructive power of the evil spirit. She saw the extraordinary action of the Holy Trinity in this sacrament, which was for her a natural and true reality she was experiencing in all her life.

This article ventures into the basic principles of the original Twelve-step program by studying its similarity with the dynamics of the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Catholic Church. It begins with a short presentation of the theological foundation of confession, and continues with the history of AA’s Twelve-step recovery program while focusing on the latter’s spiritual dimension and that of similar groups. The major analysis is dedicated to demonstrating and discussing the parallels found in the twelve steps content and the Sacrament of Reconciliation; where the twelve steps have their effectiveness written within themselves, the Sacrament of Reconciliation also requires a progression from contrition, an examination of conscience, the confessing sins and satisfaction. In conclusion, the author presents pastoral suggestions meant to facilitate work with believers struggling with various addictions.
W tym artykule zagłębiamy się w podstawowe zasady programu dwunastu kroków, badając jego podobieństwo do dynamiki sakramentu pojednania w Kościele katolickim. Artykuł rozpoczyna się krótką prezentacją teologicznych podstaw spowiedzi i kontynuuje przedstawieniem zarysu historii programu AA opartego na dwunastu krokach. Główna analiza poświęcona jest wykazaniu i omówieniu podobieństw oraz paraleli w treści dwunastu kroków oraz warunków dobrej spowiedzi. Podobnie jak program dwunastu kroków, również sakrament pojednania zaprasza penitenta do przejścia podobnych etapów: aktu skruchy, rachunku sumienia, wyznania grzechów oraz zadośćuczynienia. Na zakończenie autor rozważa wskazania duszpasterskie mające ułatwić pracę z wierzącymi, którzy zmagają się z różnymi nałogami.

A confessor is not required to have special knowledge about bioethical issues. In these cases the confessor needs to discern the internal dispositions of the penitent; i.e., their repentance, conversion and the readiness to change. The minister of reconciliation needs to keep in mind that this sacrament was established for men and women who are sinners, and for this reason the confessor should receive penitents and assume their good will to be reconciled with the merciful God who is willing to be born in a humble heart. The attack on human life touches the very core of the human person. In this area there are no light or irrelevant issues and, therefore, the confessor dealing with this problem is in contact with life and death. God is always first in the sacrament of reconciliation. Let every confessor keep in mind that the confessional is not a torture chamber but the place where the penitent experiences God’s mercy and where they receive an invitation to change and to do good. The penitent should always hear the truth and receive the assurance of salvific love which, in a mysterious way, is at work in every human being independently of their shortcomings and shortfalls.

Właściwe podejście do tych kwestii jest kluczowe dla owocnego sprawowania i przeżywania sakramentu pokuty i pojednania, i stanowi ważny element formacji moralnej wierzących. Problematyka etyczna związana ze sferą ludzkiej seksualności jest złożona i obejmuje liczne zagadnienia szczegółowe. Niniejszy tekst omawia kwestie ogólne dotyczące seksualności, które są aktualne we współczesnej praktyce sakramentalnej w Kościele. Należy do nich pytanie o istotę związku seksualności i spowiedzi sakramentalnej. Kolejnym ważnym zagadnieniem jest rozumienie grzechu w sferze seksualnej człowieka. Bardziej praktyczny wymiar omawianej tematyki dotyczy zagadnienia stawiania przez spowiednika pytań oraz udzielania nauk i rad penitentom w obszarze etyki seksualnej. Kwestie te dotykają istoty rozumienia sakramentu pokuty i pojednania, natury i różnych wymiarów grzechu oraz misterium ludzkiej seksualności. Kluczem owocnego sprawowania posługi sakramentu pokuty i pojednania jest postawa polegająca na „towarzyszeniu procesom wzrostu”.
One of the contemporary challenges for the service of a confessor are the problems connected with the sexual sphere of human life. Insomuch as in this area there are many different opinions, which are not always harmonious with the teaching and the proved practice of the Church, it is necessary that the reflection concerns the understanding of the tasks of confessor and his ways towards problems connected with the sexual sphere of life. Central to these questions and crucial to the fruitful celebration and experience of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation is the important component of the moral formation of believers. Ethical issues connected with the sexual sphere of human live are complex and include a lot of detailed questions. The present paper is concerned with the general problems connected with sexuality, which are contemporary in the sacramental practice of the Church. The first of them is the question about the essence of the connection between sexuality and sacramental confession. The second one is the understanding of sin in the sexual sphere. A more practical dimension of this present topic concerns the issue of asking the penitents by confessor and giving them instructions and advices in the sphere of sexual ethics. These questions concern the essence of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, the significance and the different dimensions of sin, and the mystery of human sexuality. The key for the fruitful celebration of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation in this field is the confessor’s attitude towards “companionship of growth processes”.

Są Oni zaproszeni do wzięcia udziału w tej "wielkiej tajemnicy" miłości "aż do końca". Uczestniczą w nim i co stają się one w sposób zamierzony przez samego Stwórcę. Pomocą na ich drodze jest regularne doświadczenie sakramentu pokuty w połączeniu z kierownictwem duchowym.
The call to holiness is for the baptized the gift and task. It is a marvelous gift of God's infinite love, by which Christ gave Himself as a sacrifice of expiation for people's sins. Though Him the Church becomes holy. This is manifested in the sanctification of its members. The Church of sinners becomes the Church of saints by the persistent undertaking of conversion.In a particular way, sacramental spouses are participants in the love of Christ. They are invited to participate in this „great mystery". If you truly love and „to the end" - they participate in it and what they become as intended by the Creator himself. The help they get on their way is regular experience of the sacrament of penance combined with spiritual direction.

Na temat sakramentu pokuty i pojednania można prowadzić rozważania na różnych płaszczyznach (teologicznej, pedagogicznej, psychologicznej, społecznej). W obecnym artykule podjęto problem przygotowania do korzystania z sakramentu pokuty i pojednania, które dokonuje się w ramach „katechezy niemieckiej”. Termin ten jest szeroki i obejmuje przygotowanie do sakramentu pokuty w Niemczech, w Austrii, Szwajcarii czy Luksemburgu, czyli w krajach niemieckojęzycznych. Kontekstem tej wypowiedzi jest pogłębiający się kryzys wiary w społeczeństwie wielokulturowym, kryzys funkcjonowania Kościoła (ogólnie instytucji i wspólnot religijnych), kryzys znajomości, rozumienia i korzystania z sakramentów, a także kryzys samego sakramentu kapłaństwa (od różnego rodzaju afer przez „urzędowość”, rutynę i zniechęcenie). Rozważania adresowane są do polskich czytelników, stąd rozumienie katechezy jest szerokie – jako nauczanie i wychowanie religijno-moralne, a więc oddziaływanie, które dokonuje się zarówno w szkole (Religionsunterricht), jak i w parafi i (Gemeindekatechese). Wprowadzeniem do rozważań jest ukazanie, w jaki sposób sakrament pokuty i pojednania funkcjonuje w duszpasterstwie niemieckim.
On the sacrament of penance and reconciliation we can lead discussion at various levels (theological, pedagogical, psychological, social). In the present article discusses the problem of preparation for the use of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, which takes place in the framework of the “German catechesis”. The term is broad and includes preparation for the sacrament of penance in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg, which in German-speaking countries. The context of this statement is the deepening crisis of faith in a multicultural society, the crisis of the functioning of the Church (generally institutions and religious communities), the crisis of knowledge, understanding and use of the sacraments, as well as the crisis of the sacrament of the priesthood (of all kinds of scandals over “offi cialdom” routine and discouragement). Considerations are addressed to Polish readers, hence understanding of catechesis will be wide –as teaching and education of religious and moral, and therefore the impact, which takes place both in school (Religionsunterricht), and in the parish (Gemeindekatechese). The introduction to the discussion is to show how the sacrament of penance is functioning in German ministry.

Zagadnienia sakramentu oraz postawy pokuty i pojednania w nauczaniu religii w szkole są zawsze aktualne, szczególnie w związku z ogłoszeniem przez papieża Franciszka Nadzwyczajnego Jubileuszu Miłosierdzia. Autor artykułu, na podstawie schematu zaczerpniętego z adhortacji św. Jana Pawła II Reconciliatio et paenitentia, ukazuje główne zakresy tematyczne odnoszące się do sakramentu pokuty i pojednania, jednocześnie wskazując na ich wykorzystanie w Podstawie programowej katechezy i Programie nauczania religii z roku 2010. Podkreśla, że problem związku nawrócenia z ewangelizacją jest złożony, w dużej mierze z tego powodu, że wymyka się planowaniu, w którym można by przewidzieć wszystkie czynniki. Zarówno nawrócenie, jak i ewangelizacja stanowią bowiem obszar, gdzie rozgrywa się walka dobra ze złem, Tego, który jest Prawdą, z ojcem kłamstwa. Działania podejmujących ewangelizację i wzywających do nawrócenia są niełatwe do przewidzenia, bo nikt z nas nie może powiedzieć, że w pełni jest zewangelizowany i że przynajmniej nie potyka się na drodze nawrócenia. Konieczne jest jednak tworzenie ram, w które Duch będzie wlewał swą moc i przychodził w ludzkiej słabości.
Issues of the sacrament and the attitude of penance and reconciliation in the teaching of religion in school is always up to date, especially in connection with the announcement by Pope Francis Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. The article, based on the diagram taken from the exhortation of St. John Paul II Reconciliatio et Paenitentia, shows the main subject areas relating to the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, while pointing to their use in the Core Curriculum program of catechesis and religious education from 2010. emphasizes that the problem of the relationship of conversion to evangelism is composed largely of For this reason, it defies planning, which could predict all factors. Both the conversion and evangelization are in fact an area in which takes the struggle between good and evil, the One who is the Truth with the father of lies. Taking action calling for evangelization and conversion are difficult to predict, because none of us can say that it is fully evangelized, and that at least does not stumble on the path of conversion. But it is necessary to create a framework in which the Spirit will be poured its power and came to human weakness.

The sacrament of penance and reconciliation constitutes an integral part of the Christian life. It restores the state of sanctifying grace lost by man as a result of mortal sin. Confession also plays a major role in the preparation of prospective spouses for being joined in the sacrament of matrimony. No mandatory duty is imposed at this point by the legislation yet the sacrament of penance is strongly recommended before the holy matrimony takes place in order to render it more fruitful. The priest preparing the prospective spouses for the holy matrimony is obliged to raise the question of premarital confession and be of help should the need arise.The confessor of the prospective spouses should be characterised by appropriate spiritual and intellectual formation. He should demonstrate particular tactfulness and thoughtfulness when asking questions, especially those concerning premarital sex. The minister’s teaching ought to result in providing positive guidelines for the future married life.The prospective spouses are supposed to fulfill all the acts of the penitent: repentance, disclosure of sins and reparation. A careful examination of conscience is yet another significant component paving the way for a good confession and fruitful matrimony.

Artykuł jest próbą opisania postawy wobec sakramentu pokuty. Badanie ankietowe zostały przeprowadzone na grupie 65 osób. Jeden z aspektów dotyczył praktycznego podejścia osób badanychpraktycznego sakramentu pokuty i pojednania. Wykazano, że wysoki stopień deklarowanej religijności często nie idzie w parze z praktykowania tego sakramentu.
The  article  is  an  attempt  to  describe  the  attitude  toward  the  sacrament  of  penance. A questionnaire-based survey carried out on the group of 65 people provided some basic information, including their practical approach to the confession. It has been proved that a highdegree of declared religiousness often does not go hand in hand with practicing of this sacrament because as much as 1/4 of the respondents goes to confession rarely or sporadically. Almost 20% of the group spends little or no time on the examination of conscience and a prayer before the confession. Moreover, the motivation, difficulties and the opinion on how confession influences life, were also diagnosed. It turned out that in many cases there is a noticeable connection between the answers and sex, place of living (urban or rural area), age and level of education. The analysis showed that there is a considerable degree of individualism and selectiveness in attitude toward the sacrament of penance and reconciliation so it is necessary to realize again the need and under- standing of it, especially among men and young people.
