Opis:
The problem of product life as an important factor of toys safe use is considered. Main sources of hazards and their adverse effect to children health are characterized. The results of unwanted events associated with improper toy design and with its quality of manufacture as well as with use of inappropriate materials for toys production are discussed. Necessity of using the laboratory testing methods based on ageing process to predict changes in toys parameters during their use are pointed out. Features and criteria for assessment of toys life in the light of formal and legal requirements are specified. Considering experience of other scientists, presented in scientific publications as well as the results of the author studies, the innovative method for assessment of life of toys made of polymers is suggested.

Opis:
Toys emitting sounds are classified as significant sources of noise found in the children environment. Impulse and continuous noise emitted by toys, used in close to the child’s ear, acting directly on the organ of hearing, can lead to serious adverse health effects. This is especially true for children under the age of three, in which the state of the hearing organ determines their intellectual development. The current level of safety of sound emitting toys intended for children in this age group is insufficient. This is confirmed by the reports from the control of market surveillance authorities. A new approach to the assessment of children’s exposure to noise generated by toys, included in EN 71-1:2011 + A2:2013 Standard, based on the permissible values applicable to the workplaces, requires further tests and verification. The paper presents the results of the research work and assesses the level of sound emitted by toys in the light of current standard requirements, carried out using the author’s methodology. Toys intended for children under the age of 3 years, commercialized on the European market by Polish manufacturers and importers were tested. The results of the tests allowed us to determine the impact of duration of the sound pressure level measurement on the final result.

Celem pracy jest przeprowadzenie analizy obciążenia śniegiem istniejących obiektów budowlanych, szczególnie halowych budynków wielkopowierzchniowych zaprojektowanych jako obiekty stalowe przed 2006 rokiem w związku ze zwiększonymi obciążeniami wprowadzonymi zmianą do normy PN-80/B-02010/Az1:2006. Analizą objęty został dach stalowej hali jednonawowej. Porównano dopuszczalne wartości obciążenia śniegiem przed wprowadzeniem zmiany do normy oraz po wprowadzeniu zmiany. Podano orientacyjne, nieprzekraczające normy ilości śniegu mogące znajdować się na dachu. Motywacją do przeprowadzenia obliczeń było zgodne z ustawą Prawo Budowlane bezpieczne użytkowanie obiektu i konieczność kontrolowania obciążenia śniegiem w celu podjęcia decyzji o odśnieżaniu dachu przy intensywnych opadach atmosferycznych.
Conducting of analysis of load is purpose of work snow of existing construction object, before 2006 year with reference to change for norm particularly buildings designed PN-80/B-02010/Az1:2006. Analysis of roof of steel room (shop) has been included. It compare admissible values of loads before introduction of change for norm snow and after introduction of change. It serve orientation amounts of snow can find (be placed) on roof not surpassing norm. Consistent was motivation for conducting of account with act of law safe use object and necessity of control of load for decision-making about clearing of snow roof at intensive weather falls snow.

Materiały pirotechniczne to rodzaj materiałów wybuchowych, które są stosowane do produkcji wyrobów wojskowych oraz cywilnych. Wyroby te, w przypadku nieodpowiedniego przechowywania lub użycia niezgodnie z ich docelowym przeznaczeniem, mogą zadziałać w sposób niekontrolowany. W skrajnych przypadkach może wystąpić zjawisko wybuchu masowego obejmującego cały ładunek, magazyn lub pojazd transportowy, co w konsekwencji może doprowadzić do znacznych strat w ludziach lub mieniu. Historia przytacza wiele przypadków, w których wybuch widowiskowych wyrobów pirotechnicznych, powszechnie uznawanych za niegroźne, miał katastrofalne skutki dla życia i zdrowia wielu ludzi. Zagrożenia związane ze stosowaniem materiałów pirotechnicznych mogą wynikać m. in. z zaniedbań ze strony producentów, organizacyjnych władz lokalnych, braku lub niezachowania odpowiedniego stopnia bezpieczeństwa przez sprzedawców, organizatorów imprez masowych oraz samych użytkowników. Szczególnie duże zagrożenie ze względu na ilości składowania w jednym miejscu, materiały pirotechniczne stanowią w miejscach wytwarzania oraz magazynowania. Na przestrzeni lat dochodziło do wielu katastrof związanych z przypadkowym zainicjowaniem energetycznych półproduktów lub gotowych wyrobów. Podano przykłady wypadków w Polsce i zagranicą, związanych z zadziałaniem materiałów pirotechnicznych. Przedstawiono metody określania stopnia zagrożenia stwarzanego przez towary niebezpieczne oraz przykłady testów serii 6 przeprowadzonych dla wyrobów pirotechnicznych.
Pyrotechnic materials are one of the types of explosives which are used to manufacture products for military and civil purposes. These materials, in the event of improper storage or use contrary to their intended purpose, may work in an uncontrolled manner. In extreme cases, the phenomenon of a mass explosion involving the entire load, warehouse or transport vehicle may occur, which in turn may lead to significant losses in people or property. History cites many cases in which the explosion of spectacular pyrotechnic products, generally considered harmless, had catastrophic consequences for the life and health of many people. The risks associated with the use of pyrotechnic materials may result, among others, from: negligence on the part of producers, or organizational local authorities, lack or failure to maintain an appropriate level of security by sellers, organizers of mass events and users themselves. Due to the amount of storage in one place, pyrotechnic materials pose a particularly high risk in the places of production and storage. Over the years, there have been many disasters related to the accidental initiation of energetic semi-finished or finished products. This article describes accidents related to the activation of pyrotechnic materials in Poland and abroad. Methods for determining the degree of hazard posed by dangerous goods and examples of the Test Series 6 carried out for pyrotechnic articles are also presented.

Badanie miało na celu określenie poziomu edukacji pacjentów noszących soczewki kontaktowe, znajomości zasad pielęgnacji oraz wiedzy na temat noszenia, doboru i bezpieczeństwa miękkich soczewek kontaktowych. Ocenie podlegała również obsługa pacjenta przy doborze miękkich soczewek kontaktowych.
The aim of this research was to investigate education level of the contact lens patients. The knowledge about the soft contact lenses care, wear, fitting and safety was checked. Level of patient service during fitting of the soft contact lenses was also evaluated.

W pracy przedstawiono jedną z możliwości kreowania wizerunku przez producentów maszyn rolniczych. Zwrócono uwagê na uzyskiwane w drodze konkursów prestiżowe wyróżnienia. Przyjêto, ¿e szczególnie rozpoznawalnym wyróżnieniem dla sprzętu rolniczego o największej funkcjonalności i innowacyjności, w którym zastosowane zostały unikatowe rozwiązania, technologie i nowoczesne materiały, jest Złoty Medal Międzynarodowych Targów Poznańskich. Podjęto próbę wskazania metodyki postępowania, która porządkuje wysiłki wytwórców zmierzające do nadania działaniom kreującym wizerunek charakteru planowych i ciągłych, logicznie następujących po sobie sekwencji działań. Wskazano na determinanty wyboru maszyny rolniczej w konkursie „Wyrób na Medal”, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem bezpieczeństwa ich użytkowania. Ponadto szczegółowo opisano etapy pozyskiwania znaku oraz obowiązki producenta wynikające z jego uzyskania
The paper presents one of the possibilities of creating the image by agricultural machinery producers. Attention was drawn to prestigious distinctions, obtained through the competition. There was assumed, that the Gold Medal of the Poznañ International Fair is a particularly recognizable award for agricultural equipment with the highest functionality and innovation, in which unique solutions, technologies and modern materials were used. An attempt have been made to indicate the methodology of procedure that organizes the efforts of the producers aiming at the actions of image creating of a planned and continuous character, sequence of actions which are logically consecutive. The determinants of the selection of the agricultural machine in the "Product for Medal" competition were pointed out, with particular emphasis on the safety of their use. In addition, the steps to obtain the mark and the obligations of the producer resulting from its acquisition are described in detail.

Opis:
Safety of use of the buildings refers i.a. to ensuring appropriate hygienic and sanitary conditions and also health conditions. According to the EU Directive on the energy performance of buildings, there is a need to define the conditions for the classification of objects in terms of indoor microclimate requirements. Evaluating the quality of the interior environment in buildings and specifying the requirements of people staying in them, first of all the values of thermal microclimate parameters and air quality should be taken into account. Long-term influence of disadvantageous of environmental conditions may cause or exacerbate many symptoms associated with abnormal functioning of the organism and lead to the weakness or illness. This phenomenon is called sick building syndrome, and the symptoms of the syndrome such as eyes and respiratory tract irritation, malaise, dizziness and headache or fatigue are linked to time spent in the building. The article presents the results of research on the condition of the interior environment in educational buildings, identifies factors affecting the formation of environmental conditions in the rooms and shows the influence of the interiors environment in buildings on the human body. The relationships between the basic parameters of the interior microclimate and the state of feeling satisfaction with the environmental conditions that surrounds the human are tracked. It was found that in many cases commonly used gravitational ventilation is not able to ensure the proper conditions of the interior microclimate, and the concentrations of carbon dioxide recorded in the tested rooms exceeded the applicable standards.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane aspekty dotyczące organizacji pracy na stanowiskach pracy wyposażonych w maszyny ręczne. Uwzględniono wymagania prawne i dobre praktyki oraz opisano różne rozwiązania techniczne. Scharakteryzowano problemy związane z doborem maszyn oraz ich obsługą i konserwacją. Odwołując się do wyników przeprowadzonych badań wskazano, że ze względu wzrost grupy starszych operatorów istotny jest także właściwy dobór pracowników do rodzajów wykonywanych prac oraz zmniejszenie obciążenia układu mięśniowo-szkieletowego kończyn górnych z powodu zmniejszających się możliwości fizycznych tej grupy pracowników.
This paper presents selected aspects of the organization of work at workstations equipped with hand-held machines. It considers legal requirements and discusses various technical solutions. It also considers problems related to machine selection and operation, and maintenance. The results of the study show that due to the increasing number of older operators, it is important to select the right workers for specific types of work. Due to the deceasing physical capabilities of this group of workers, it is necessary to reduce musculoskeletal load of the upper limbs.

The Internet has become a ubiquitous medium that absorbs a greater proportion of our time. In addition to its unquestionable advantages, it presents a number of threats to the security of its users. The aim of the article is to analyze the ways in which in dividuals in different countries use the Internet and to examine the security implications resulting from the increasing popularity of the medium. The study presents the results of research conducted in the years 2018-2019 on a group of 562 Internet users from three countries: Spain, Poland and Turkey. The analysis of the results creates a gloomy picture of network users, who -despite risk awareness -do little to defend themselves against the threats until personally affected.

Wskazano istotę i znaczenie właściwego doboru rozpylaczy oraz parametrów ich pracy, jako elementu odpowiedzialnego za skuteczność chemicznej ochrony, bezpieczeństwo środowiska i żywności. Wysoce wskazane jest skoordynowanie działań w tym kierunku, w celu poprawy sytuacji w tym zakresie oraz ułatwienia odpowiedzialnej pracy doradców i operatorów opryskiwaczy rolniczych. Pilną potrzebą, oczekiwaną przez praktykę, jest szybkie opracowanie przystępnych instrukcji, poradników i materiałów szkoleniowych.
The article indicates shortcomings of advising in the protection of plants in the scope of technique such as: selection of operating parameters for sprayers, lack of reliable information and training materials which are necessary for adviser, instructor and operator. The importance of proper nozzles selection and their working parameters was indicated, as the element responsible for the efficiency of chemical protection and safety of the environment and food. It is highly recommended to coordinate activities in this direction to improve the situation in this area, and to facilitate the responsible work of advisers and operators of agricultural sprayers. The urgent need, expected by the practice, is early preparation of the accessible instructions, guidebooks and training materials.

The operation of various types of machinery and equipment constituting a material work environment exposes employees to many different hazards (especially mechanical hazards). According to the Polish law, the basic duty of both machine manufacturers and employers is to limit the level of these hazards and to provide employees with broadly understood safety. The article presents the basic issues related to the technical safety of laser cutter operators on the example of a selected industrial plant. Technical and organizational solutions used to reduce the level of risk associated with the use of the selected machine were assessed.

This article demonstrates the difficulties present in the optimal utilization of ensuring public safety and protection in Poland’s commercial sector. The author conducted comprehensive theoretical and empirical research in this area diagnosing actively operating protection companies. The article contains courses of action that should be adopted to improve the current situation, in which the private security sector is not properly used. Indicated herein are detailed projects both legal, organizational and economic, to improve co-operation of all subsystems of public safety.

Opis:
W artykule rozważono kwestie bezpieczeństwa technicznego w przedsiębiorstwie produkującym podzespoły i części samochodowe. W pierwszej kolejności przedstawiono uwarunkowania prawne dotyczące bezpieczeństwa, a następnie dane statystyczne i finansowe, które determinują kształtowanie bezpieczeństwa technicznego w zakładzie produkcyjnym. Następnie, na przykładzie wybranego zakładu produkcyjnego, postanowiono przeanalizować zabezpieczenia techniczne stosowane w tego typu zakładach. Badanym przedsiębiorstwem był zakład produkujący części i podzespoły samochodowe. W badanym zakładzie dział produkcyjny zawiera 3 sekcje: Obróbka, Czysty Montaż i Montaż Ostateczny. W niniejszej pracy przegląd technicznych środków ochronnych stosowanych na maszynach został zrealizowany na podstawie informacji z działu Montażu Ostatecznego. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi swoistego rodzaju wprowadzenie i analizę stanu zagadnienia do kolejnego artykułu pt. „Audyt bezpieczeństwa technicznego w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym”, w którym przeanalizowano i oceniono ryzyko w odniesieniu do prasy hydraulicznej stosowanej w rozpatrywanym zakładzie.
The paper presents the issues of technical security in an enterprise manufacturing components and car parts. The first part presents the legal requirements regarding safety, and statistical and financial data, which determine the development of technical security at the factory. Then, on the example of the chosen factory it was decided to analyze the technical safety precautions used in this type of plants. The selected factory was an one manufacturing parts and components for cars. In the audited factory the production department includes 3 sections: Machining, Clean Installation and Final Assembly. In the paper, a research on technical measures applied on the machines was implemented on the basis of information from the Final Assembly Department. This article is a kind of introduction to the next article entitled "Audit of technical safety in manufacturing company" which will analyzed and evaluated the risk in relation to the hydraulic press used at the relevant facility.
