    Opis:
    Modelling of operation process influence on safety of a critical infrastructure is presented. New safety and resilience indicators for a critical infrastructure are defined and procedures of their determination in the case of the created model are proposed. Next, this model is applied to safety and resilience analysis of the port oil terminal critical infrastructure impacted by its operation process and the results are compared to the indicators of this critical infrastructure without operation impacts.

    Opis:
    The article presents stability assessment of the mobile crane handling system based on the developed method with the use of the mathematical model built and the model built in the integrated CAD/CAE environment. The model proposed consists of the main crane assemblies coupled together: the truck with outrigger system and the base, the slewing column, the inner and outer arms, the six-member telescopic boom, the hook with lifting sling and the transported load. Analyses were conducted of the displacements of the mass centre of the crane system, reactions of the outrigger system, stabilizing and overturning torques that act on the crane as well as the safety indicator values for the given movement trajectories of the crane working elements.

    Opis:
    W artykule opisano podstawowe powiązania pomiędzy magazynem, użytkownikiem i otoczeniem (środowiskiem). Dokonano analizy czynników (właściwości) wpływających na funkcjonowanie magazynu. Zaprezentowano również wybrane sterowalne wielkości magazynowe w dyskretnych chwilach czasowych, zwracając uwagę na analizę ilościowych mierników, w tym ryzyka, wykorzystywanych do oceny procesów logistycznych. Omówiono klasyfikację zagrożeń mających wpływ na funkcjonowanie gospodarki magazynowej. Zostały tu zaprezentowane funkcje losowe o znanych rozkładach prawdopodobieństwa, pozwalające określić podatność magazynu na powstanie sytuacji niebezpiecznych, a także wyniki badań empirycznych, przeprowadzonych w wybranych magazynach w kontekście przebiegu procesów magazynowych w warunkach rzeczywistych.
    The article describes the basic connections between the warehouse, the user and the environment. An analysis of factors (properties) influencing the functioning of the warehouse was made. It presents selected controllable storage quantities at discrete time points, focusing on the analysis of quantitative measures, including risk used to assess logistic processes and contains a classification of threats affecting the functioning of warehouse management. This section presents random functions with known probability distributions allowing to determine the susceptibility of the warehouse to the occurrence of dangerous situations. The last chapter is the result of empirical research carried out in selected warehouses in the context of the course of warehouse processes under real conditions.

    In the field of road safety, the concept of "risk" is used to define a measurable level of road safety dependent on numerical accident exposure value. This is an approach different (even contradictory) to calculate the level of security, measured by the number of accidents or injuries. So, whether otherwise - risk assessment is needed to improve the safety of road transport and define priorities in the field of public health. The article presents the concept of risk and selected problems of risk analysis in road traffic.
    W dziedzinie bezpieczeństwa drogowego pojęcie "ryzyka" jest używane na określenie mierzalnego poziomu bezpieczeństwa drogowego zależnego od liczbowej wartości "ekspozycji ryzyka". Jest to podejście różniące się (a nawet przeciwstawne) do obliczania poziomu bezpieczeństwa mierzonego przez liczbę wypadków lub obrażeń ciała. Tak, czy inaczej - ocena ryzyka jest potrzebna do poprawy bezpieczeństwa transportu drogowego i zdefiniowania priorytetów w obszarze zdrowia publicznego. W artykule przedstawiono koncept oraz wybrane problemy analizy ryzyka w ruchu drogowym.

    Opis:
    The article considers several modern scientific papers substantiating the need for assessing workplace safety and focusing on methods applied for the quantitative assessment of working conditions. The analysis found unsolved problems in qualimetry, which could lead to the development of new practical and generally applicable methods to effectively assess working conditions. The analysis proved the relevance of the topic and helped to determine the aim of the article, i.e., the development of a methodology for the quantitative assessment of working conditions in industries, considering harmful production factors. An exponential distribution, which belongs to the theory of extreme statistics, was proposed for the transition of heterogeneous single indicators of harmful factors into a dimensionless scale. Affine transformations were used to combine dissimilar scales, making it possible to divide segments on dissimilar scales into equal proportions. The article proposes a step-by-step method for determining a complex indicator of working conditions in industries. The proposed methodology allows management decisions that minimise the deviation in actual values of harmful factors from the optimal ones. The developed technique was tested at one specific metallurgical production site.

    Wzrost liczby wózków widłowych wiąże się ze zwiększonym zagrożeniem występowania wypadków i sytuacji niebezpiecznych, które systematycznie powinny być analizowane. Przy ocenie tej warto zastosować wskaźniki wypadków dotyczące danych urządzeń i sytuacji niebezpiecznych. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań przyczyn i skutków wypadków przy pracy operatorów wózków jezdniowych podnośnikowych w latach 2011-2017. Do najcięższych w skutkach wypadków doszło na skutek utraty stateczności wózka na zakręcie, przygniecenia wózkiem, uderzenia ładunkiem, uderzenia wózkiem Najwięcej obrażeń powstało w wyniku najechania podczas cofania, najechania na nogę, przygniecenia wózkiem bądź ładunkiem, uderzenia wózkiem. Stwierdzono, że poprawia się bezpieczeństwo pracy operatorów wózków pod dozorem pełnym. Nasilają się biedy w eksploatacji wózków, co wymaga częstszej weryfikacji umiejętności operatorów i zwiększania ich świadomości zagrożeń.
    The increase of the number of forklifts is associated with the elevated threat of accidents and dangerous situations that should be systematically analyzed. On the occasion of the assessment, it is worth using accident ratios for given devices and dangerous situations. The article presents the results of research into the causes and effects of accidents at work of forklift trucks' operators in 2011-2017. The most serious accident occurred in the case of: loss of stability of the forklift truck at the bend, crush caused by the truck, impact by the truck's load, impact by the truck itself. Most injuries arose in the case of: overturning when reversing the truck, overrunning employees' leg, crush by the truck or its load, impact by the truck. The safety of work of the forklift trucks operators under full supervision has improved. Errors in the operation of trucks increased, which requires more frequent verification of operators' skills and the increase of their awareness of hazards.
