Opis:: W artykule dokonano oceny wykorzystania pojazdów szynowo-drogowych do prowadzenia prac manewrowych względem zwyczajowo stosowanych lokomotyw manewrowych o napędzie spalinowym. Skupiono się na aspektach ekologicznych – emisji toksycznych substancji w spalinach. Przedstawiono w nim między innymi przykładowe wy-niki badań toksyczności spalin pojazdów kolejowych użytkowanych w Polsce, przeznaczonych do transportu masowego. W celu dokonania analizy właściwości ekologicznych tego typu pojazdów, przeprowadzono pomiary emisji spalin w warunkach ich rzeczywistej eksploatacji (mobilna aparatura naukowo-badawcza) oraz w warunkach stacjonarnego testu badawczego ISO 8178-F.
The article assesses the use of road-rail vehicles for shunting works in terms of commonly used shunting locomotives powered by combustion engines. The focus is on ecological aspects – the emission of toxic substances in exhaust gases. It presents, among others, an example of the results of exhaust emissions tests for railway vehicles used in Poland for mass transport. In order to analyze the ecological characteristics of this type of vehicle emission measurements were carried out under real conditions (mobile research apparatus) and under steady research test ISO 8178-F.

Opis:: W artykule dokonano oceny korzystności zastosowania pojazdów szynowo-drogowych w prowadzeniu prac manewrowych na torach, zamiast stosowanych powszechnie, spalinowych lokomotyw manewrowych. Skupiono się głównie na aspektach ekologicznych – emisji toksycznych substancji w spalinach. Przedstawiono w nim między innymi przykładowe wyniki badań emisji zanieczyszczeń z wybranych pojazdów transportu masowego, użytkowanych na polskich liniach kolejowych. W celu dokonania analizy uciążliwości środowiskowej tych pojazdów wykonano pomiary toksyczności spalin w warunkach testu badawczego (ISO 8178-F) oraz, co jest znacznie istotniejsze, podczas rzeczywistego użytkowania pojazdów – przy wykorzystaniu mobilnej aparatury naukowo-badawczej.
The article assesses the advantages of utilizing road-rail vehicle in shunting operations on the tracks, instead of the commonly used shunting locomotives powered with a combustion engine. Ecological aspects were the main focus - the emission of toxic substances in exhaust gases. It presents, among others, an example of the emission results of pollutants from selected mass transit vehicles, operated on Polish railway lines. In order to analyze the environmental impact of these vehicles exhaust emissions measurements were performed in certification test conditions (ISO 8178-F) and, what is much more important, also the emissions during actual vehicle operation - using mobile measuring equipment.

Opis:: The subject of the article is presenting the rules for the admission of road-rail vehicles in Poland to service in relation to current standards and regulations. The article presents categories of road-rail vehicles depending on their construction and purpose, along with providing examples of design solutions for each group of vehicles. The article outlines the requirements for rail vehicles in relation to road-rail vehicles in the aspect of conducting durability tests for the vehicle type approval process. The main focus is placed on the construction and testing of vehicles built on the basis of existing road vehicles.
Przedmiotem opracowania jest prezentacja zasad dopuszczania pojazdów szynowo - drogowych w Polsce w odniesieniu do obecnie obowiązujących norm i przepisów. W artykule przedstawiono kategorie pojazdów szynowo - drogowych w zależności od ich budowy i przeznaczenia oraz pokazano przykłady rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych w odniesieniu do każdej grupy pojazdów. Zaprezentowano wymagania stawiane pojazdom szynowym w odniesieniu do pojazdów szynowo - drogowych w aspekcie przeprowadzenia procesu homologacji pojazdów w obszarze badań wytrzymałościowych. Główny nacisk położono na konstrukcje i badania pojazdów budowanych na bazie istniejących pojazdów drogowych.

Opis:: The presented article concerns the research on the emission of pollutants of a rail-road tractor in two stationary research tests. The purpose of the tests was to carry out control tests of pollutant emissions and their analysis. The object used during the works was approved in accordance with the Stage V standard, which requires measurements of emissivity both in stationary, dynamic and real conditions. Despite the requirement to test engines installed on a vehicle during their normal duty cycle with PEMS, the emission limits measured in this test have not yet been defined. Therefore, the work below focuses on the stationary test cycle. The measurements were carried out in accordance with the internal combustion engine operating points described in the approval test, and then compared with the modernized NRSC test. It contains modified measuring points and rotational speeds of the crankshaft, adopted on the basis of the most common operating parameters of agricultural tractor combustion engines in real operating conditions. The measurements were performed with the use of a mobile dynamometer and devices for measuring emissions of harmful exhaust gas compounds and recording on-board data. In the performed test, the vehicle drive system worked at fixed operating points, with defined values of crankshaft rotational speed and load. Based on the recorded data on the concentrations of pollutants in the exhaust gases, the unit emission of the tested object was determined. In the final stage of the work, these data were used to perform a comparative analysis with the emission limits contained in the standard.

Opis:: The paper presents a mathematical model of the switch point with R radius > 1200 m. The switch point was treated as a beam with variable stiffness and variable moment of inertia. A simulation was performed for a constant force loading the switch point and for real parameters of the switch point with R = 1200 m.
Artykuł przedstawia model matematyczny iglicy rozjazdu kolejowego o promieniu r≥1200 m. Iglica traktowana jest jako belka o zmiennej sztywności i zmiennym momencie bezwładności (wzdłuż długości iglicy). Przedstawiono symulację modelu matematycznego iglicy obciążoną stała siłą w kontakcie koła z szyną, korzystając z rzeczywistych parametrów takiej iglicy.

Opis:: The concept of a rail running gear is presented, with a friction – drum drive of the rail running gear rollers, designed for use in road-rail vehicles. The structure of the system and the distribution of forces in the load-bearing elements of the structure are presented. Comparative analysis of existing solutions are carried out. Future research directions in this field are proposed.
Zaprezentowano koncepcję szynowego układu jezdnego z bębnowym, ciernym napędem rolek szynowego układu jezdnego, przeznaczonego do zastosowania w pojazdach szynowo – drogowych. Przedstawiono strukturę układu oraz rozkład sił w elementach nośnych konstrukcji. Przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą istniejących rozwiązań. Zaproponowano dalsze kierunki badań w tej dziedzinie.

Opis:: Pojazdy szynowo-drogowe są klasą obiektów technicznych, które coraz częściej występują w parku maszynowym operatorów tramwajowych i kolejowych. Są to zazwyczaj pojazdy specjalnie przystosowane do prac ratowniczych oraz obsługowych dużej infrastruktury. Zadaniem prezentowanego pojazdu jest ułatwienie utrzymania w czystości torowisk i przystanków tramwajowych. Niezależnie od typu pojazdu oraz jego cech funkcjonalnych musi on spełniać wszystkie wymagania ochrony kierowcy w zakresie narażenia na drgania i hałas na stanowisku pracy. Artykuł dotyczy problemu pomiaru hałasu występującego podczas eksploatacji pojazdu szynowo-drogowego. W artykule omówione zostały badania terenowe przeprowadzone na pojeździe szynowo-dorgowym IVECO-eurocargo TC-2 przeznaczonego do oczyszczania torów tramwajowych. Zaprezentowany został badany obiekt oraz metodyka badań stworzona dla tego obiektu. Przedstawiono, także wyniki badań terenowych, które były prowadzone w aspekcie oddziaływania hałasu, występującego wewnątrz pojazdu podczas jazdy oraz postoju na organizm człowieka.
The rail-road vehicles are a class of technical objects which are more and more often are in the machine park of tram and rail operators. They are typically vehicles specially adapted to the rescue and maintenance works of large infrastructure. The purpose of the presented vehicle is easier to keep cleanness of the tracks and tram stops. Regardless of the type of vehicle and its functional characteristics, it must meet all requirements for protection of the driver in terms of exposure to noise and vibration in his workplace – a cab – in normal operational conditions. The article concerns the problem of noise measurement occurring in railroad vehicle cab during normal operation. The paper discusses assumption and methodology of field tests carried out for rail-road vehicle type IVECO-eurocargo TC-2 intended for cleaning the tram tracks. The tested object is presented and as well as the test methodology developed for this object. The paper includes the chosen results of field tests which were conducted in terms of noise influence on the people occurring inside of the driver cab while driving/working and on the standstill.

Opis:: One of the ways to reduce exhaust emissions from vehicles is to replace worn-out shunting locomotives with road-rail tractors. The main purpose of this solution is to reduce the negative environmental impact of the vehicle and to reduce the fuel consumption compared to a shunting locomotive performing the same work. The tests on exhaust emissions of rail vehicles are carried out on an engine test bench, making it impossible to determine the environmental performance of these vehicles during real operation. Therefore, it is advisable to carry out measurements in real operating conditions in order to obtain reliable reference results. This enables the verification of vehicles ecological indicators in a wide range of operational work parameters. It is possible to obtain reliable results regarding the impact of the tested vehicle on the natural environment in this way and compare them with the applicable emission standards.

Zróżnicowano zakresy wymagań dla pojazdów poruszających się po bocznicach, liniach metra itp. a wymaganiami dla pojazdów poruszających się po liniach kolejowych w Polsce. Osobną kategorię wymagań stanowią wymagania dla pojazdów zgodnych z technicznymi specyfikacjami dla interoperacyjności. Pojazdy szynowo-drogowe stanowią specyficzną grupę pojazdów, które z uwagi na swój charakter pracy i swoją budowę nie mogą w pełni wpisać się we wszystkie wymagania stawiane pojazdom, gdyż musiałyby jednocześnie spełnić wymagania dotyczące pojazdów samochodowych i kolejowych. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki analiz porównawczych dla badań hałasu dla pojazdów kolejowych i ciągników drogowych.
New legal regulations in force in the European Union have changed the approach to get permits for railway vehicles to move on the railway tracks. The ranges of requirements for vehicles moving on the sidings, underground lines, etc. and the requirements for vehicles riding on the railway lines in Poland are diversified. A separate category of requirements are the requirements for vehicles complying with the technical specifications for interoperability. Rail-road vehicles are a specific group of vehicles, which due to their nature of work and their construction cannot fully meet all the requirements for vehicles, because they would at the same time have to meet the requirements for motor and railway vehicles. The article presents the results of comparative analysis for noise tests for railway vehicles and road tractors.

Opis:: The article presents the results of a simplified analysis of the feasibility of designing a rail chassis of a two-way tractor with an internal combustion or electric drive. Basic traction and operating parameters have been assumed for which the road-rail tractor could operate in an effective manner. On their basis, strength calculations were carried out and mechanical elements of the drive system meeting the required assumptions were selected. All the calculations presented in the text were fulfilled. Opis:: At the beginning of the twenty-first century, one of the major challenges of humanity was to reduce the negative effects of civilization development. Besides the engines used in road vehicles there is a large group of engines for non-road applications. This group includes motor propelled vehicles not used on the road NRMM (Non-Road Mobile Machinery). Engines of these vehicles, among all of the non-road applications, are characterized by very specific working conditions that do not allow for them to be qualified for propulsion engines. The main problem with these vehicles is the particulate matter and nitrogen oxides emission. Rail vehicles operating conditions these requirements take by the similar way, as having a wide range of rolling stock markedly alters the environmental impact of these vehicles. Thus it becomes necessary to consider the issue of the method of evaluation of engine emissions in rail vehicles in terms of their actual operating conditions. Thus, efforts to assess the actual level of emissivity for rail vehicles and attempts to improve it are necessary and justified.

Opis:: The article presents the tests and analysis of ecological indicators of two rail-road tractors carried out during the real operation. The conditions of tests and vehicle constructions were characterized by the similar parameters, while the objects met the different exhaust gas emission standards: Stage IIIB and Stage IV. Apparatus from the PEMS group was used in the tests. In the analysis of ecological indicators, the unit emission of harmful gaseous compounds and particulates was determined. The supplementation is the assessment of toxicity indicators, which are the reference of individual compounds to CO2 emission. More favourable ecological characteristics were obtained by a vehicle meeting the newer exhaust gas emission standard, which resulted mainly from the use of advanced exhaust gas treatment systems in its construction.
W artykule zaprezentowano badania i analizę wskaźników ekologicznych dwóch ciągników szynowo-drogowych zrealizowane podczas rzeczywistej eksploatacji. Warunki testów i konstrukcje pojazdów charakteryzowały się zbliżonymi parametrami, przy czym obiekty spełniały odmienne normy emisji spalin: Stage IIIB i Stage IV. W badaniach zastosowano aparaturę z grupy PEMS. W analizie wskaźników ekologicznych wyznaczono jednostkową emisję szkodliwych związków gazowych i cząstek stałych. Uzupełnienie stanowi ocena wskaźników toksyczności, będących odniesieniem poszczególnych związków do emisji CO2. Korzystniejsze charakterystyki ekologiczne uzyskał pojazd spełniający nowszą normę emisji spalin, co wynikało przede wszystkim z zastosowania w jego konstrukcji zaawansowanych układów oczyszczania spalin.
