Opis:: Przedstawiono ocenę stanu i jakości dróg transportu rolniczego w rejonie równinnym i podgórskim. Oceny przeprowadzono na podstawie odległości dojazdowych do pól, wskaźnika zagęszczenia dróg, klasy drogi, nachylenia drogi, współczynnika trudności transportu oraz odległości przeliczeniowej. W rejonach podgórskich występują znacznie większe trudności w wykonywaniu przewozów. W stosunku do terenu równinnego wskaźnik trudności transportu jest wyższy o 363,8%, a odległość przeliczeniowa o 62,1 %.
There was presented evaluation of quality and condition of agricultural transportation roads in flat and hilly areas. Studies were carried out on the base of analysis of the following parameters: access distance to the fields, density of road net, road quality class, inclination of road, value of transport difficulty factor and distance conversion rate. In hilly areas transportation is more difficult. The transport difficulty factor is higher by 363,8% and distance conversion rate - by 62,1 % in comparison with the same parameters measured in flat areas.

Opis:: The paper presents results of numerical investigations on elements of road infrastructure, such as the protective barriers. Three selected structural elements of road barriers: SP-01, SP-04 and SP-09 have been analyzed. For stakes, separators and guides modelling, shell type elements were applied. Specialised finite elements method software - MSC Dytran, permitting to quickly variable processes simulating -was used for analyse. Numeric simulations of crash process were done, for different configurations of structure solutions, and this permit to deeply analyze the road barriers deformation character. The chosen cases of numeric models were verified in empirical mode and this permit do make a total resistance analyze of all energy absorbing structure during crash. The SP-01 barrier has the littlest value of retardation impulse, which is the result of complicated method of structure deformation resulting from bending and torsion of the stake (using an extension arm). Such important energy absorption is due to system eccentricity, resulting from eccentricity due to a long connector. Obtained results will be used as guidelines to elaborate a method for such structures examination, and it will be possible to use them in the future research jobs in the frame of security augmentation in the road transport.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki numerycznych prac badawczych nad elementami infrastruktury drogowej w postaci barier ochronnych. Analizie poddano trzy wybrane elementy konstrukcyjne barier drogowych SP-01, spP-04 i SP-09. Do zamodelowania słupków, przekładek, prowadnic użyto elementów typu shell. Do analizy wykorzystano specjalistyczne oprogramowanie metody elementów skończonych MSC Dytran pozwalające na symulacje procesów szybkozmiennych. Przeprowadzone symulacje numeryczne procesu zderzenia, dla różnych konfiguracji rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych, pozwoliły na dogłębne zapoznanie się z charakterem deformacji barierek drogowych. Wybrane przypadki modeli numerycznych zostały zweryfikowane w sposób doświadczalny, co pozwoliło na kompleksową analizę wytrzymałością całej konstrukcji energochłonnej podczas zderzenia. Najmniejszą wartość impulsu opóźnienia posiada bariera SP-01. Jest to spowodowane złożonym sposobem odkształcenia konstrukcji wynikłym ze zginania i skręcania (przez zastosowanie wysięgnika) słupka. Tak duża energochłonność spowodowana jest mimośrodowością układu wynikłą z mimośrodowości spowodowanej długim łącznikiem. Otrzymane wyniki posłużą jako wytyczne do opracowania metodyki badania tego typu struktur i będą mogły być wykorzystywane w dalszych pracach badawczych w zakresie zwiększenia poziomu bezpieczeństwa w transporcie drogowym.

Opis:: The mutual affecting of different limiters of capacity is a very important feature, which makes difficult the right appreciation of the transport systems. In most cases, there is no way to use procedures which define relations by correlation coefficients etc. Completely divergent character of limiters induce that only way of effective appreciation is modeling by Monte Carlo simulations.
Wzajemne oddziaływanie różnych ograniczników przepustowości jest bardzo ważną cechą utrudniającą właściwą ocenę układów komunikacyjnych. W większości przypadków procedury określające powiązania za pomocą współczynników korelacji nie mają zastosowania itp. Całkowicie rozbieżny charakter występujących ograniczników powoduje, że jedyną drogą prowadzącą do skutecznej oceny staje się modelowanie symulacyjne Monte Carlo.

Opis:: The aim of the paper is to present the main guidelines of the Safeway2School European research project. The project's primary objective is to determine the safest route for school buses that transport children to school, through low traffic density areas, avoiding black spots. The project anticipates the use of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in the process of children transportation. Within the project the Route Planning System, Rerouting System and Warning System will be designed and developed for school buses as well as for all surrounding vehicles. Project aims at designing the route for school buses and also the alternative route (in case the bus has to be rerouted due to traffic congestion or traffic incident) in order to maximize the safety of transported children with the use of localization and route planning tools, on-board safety systems and sensors in vehicles and road infrastructure. It is also crucial to design the network of ,"intelligent" bus stops (child-bus stop-bus communication) and equip the pilot group of children with special tags. The target group of the project consists of school bus drivers, children (pupils 6-16 years old) and their families, but also the road infrastructure authorities, car manufacturers, other road users and representatives of public administration. Within the project the training programs for school bus drivers, children, parents and other drivers will be elaborated. The aim of such activities is to result in unification of guidelines, training schemes and regulations concerning safe transportation of children to school. For the pilot realization of the above mentioned systems and training programs four European localizations have been chosen: Sweden, Austria, Italy and Poland. At the end of the project realization an evaluation of usability and effectiveness of applied technologies, as well as the level of system user's acceptance will be conducted. The project was submitted to the European Commission within the 7th Frame Program. Motor Transport Institute is the Polish project executor.

Opis:: Transport telematics (ITS - Inteligent Transport Systems) deals with application of information and communication technologies with the aim of enhancing traffic performance, economies, efficiency, safety, ecology and comfort of transport. ITS basic functions applicable to all modes of transport include a.o. traffic control and management, intelligent vehicles, electronic fee collection, management of rescue systems, management of public mass transportation, route planning, provisioning of traffic information, fleet management and logistics of freight transport. Developing the tradition of science, research and the existing industrial basis, the Czech transport telematics sector is one of those most advanced in Europe. Nevertheless, the present scope of ITS implementation in the Czech Republic is relatively low, and the social climate and regulatory environment related to ITS aren´t at a sufficient high level either. Therefore, the Association for Transport Telematics (SDT, ITS&S) is coming up with an initiative called ITS 2020 Vision, trying to formulate crucial directions of development and implementation of transport telematics in the Czech Republic until 2020, identify the main obstacles to the development and propose the methods of how to remove them.

Opis:: Transport safety can be defined in a number of ways, including the official World Health Organisation (WHO) safety definition ‘freedom from unacceptable risk of harm’. Road safety is, however, usually defined in a negative way. Safe road traffic is characterised by the absence of crashes, injuries and fatalities. Crashes are used here instead of accidents because the word accident leads thoughts in the direction of an event that is hard to do something about ľ “it happened by accident”. For society and for the individual, the loss of health is the most serious effect of crashes. It leads both to serious personal suffering and to huge societal losses in monetary terms. Therefore, it is essential to state at this early stage that loss of health is the main road safety criterion. Convalescence and health restoration have economic consequences as have vehicle damage and loss of vehicles and goods.

Opis:: Driving a car does not mean only controlling it and bringing it to the destination but it is also a social interaction of drivers towards each other, where emotions play an important role. Destructive emotions e.g. anger worsen the ability of making a decision. And it also holds for the people behind the steering wheel. Abroad, the questionnaires used for the detection of potential aggressive drivers, or diagnostics of drivers who already have a driving license, have a form of survey. In year 2010 was realized a questionnaire about aggressive behavior of drivers in Slovak republic from which came out very interesting information. Some information is mentioned in this paper.
Jazda samochodem obejmuje nie tylko kontrolę nad samochodem i dotarcie nim do celu, lecz także relacje społeczne kierowców wobec siebie, stanowiąc obszar, na którym emocje odgrywają ważną rolę. Destruktywne emocje, na przykład złość, upośledzają zdolność podejmowania decyzji. To dotyczy również ludzi za kierownicą samochodu. Zagranicą prowadzi się badania ankietowe o charakterze przeglądowym w celu diagnozowania skłonności do agresji u osób posiadających już prawo jazdy. W roku 2010 przeprowadzono badania ankietowe dotyczące agresywnego zachowania kierowców na Słowacji, z których wynikają bardzo interesujące spostrzeżenia. Pewien przegląd informacji zawiera niniejszy artykuł.

Spójne i kompleksowe wdrożenie koncepcji w zakresie bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego nie tylko zmniejszy liczbę wypadków, ale powinno także przyczynić się do poprawy jakości i warunków życia w mieście oraz bardziej efektywnego podziału przestrzeni miejskiej i lepszego przepływu ruchu pieszych, czy rowerzystów. W pracy odniesiono się do koncepcji planowania infrastruktury komunikacyjnej opartej na zasadach strefowania oraz wspólnych przestrzeni, a także kształtowania terenów zieleni.
In order to achieve balanced forms of urban infrastructure, which ensure comfort, safety and spatial order, when designing new solutions it is necessary to adopt a multi-facet approach which will combine everything that the local residents need but will respond harmoniously to the existing cultural landscape. It is therefore necessary to work out complex undertakings for the sake of planning and developing urban space. Coherent and complex implementation of planned road safety conceptional works should not only reduce the number and weight of accidents but should also lead to improved quality of urban life and living conditions, more efficient division of the urban space, better flow of traffic of pedestrians and cyclists, changes in the behaviour of all road users, changes in the structure of transported cargos and more common use of safer means of transport. This paper deals with a concept of planning transport infrastructure based on the principle of establishing spheres and shared spaces as well as on greenery areas management.

Opis:: Forest roads are characterized by low traffic, but heavy timber haulage trucks have a significant influence on road conditions and usually exceed the limit of 80–100 kN per axle. The excessive weight of the trucks degrades the road surface and the forest environment. This article presents the results of a study of timber transport loads from their places of acquirement (forest districts) to the recipient (a large sawmill). The analysis includes the parameters of the timber transport vehicles and focuses especially on the gross vehicle weight (GVW), the total weight of empty truck and trailer during transport, and the weight of their loads. Scania, Iveco, Man, and Mercedes trucks with trailers and semitrailers designed for large-size pine timber transport were analyzed. ANOVA results revealed that all 80 analyzed vehicles exceeded the permitted GVW in the range from 2.28 to 19.94 Mg, transporting from 20.1 to 37.5 m3 of timber. The coefficient of determination between the amount of hauled timber and the GVW equaled 62.7%. Research conducted previously concluded that forest roads with ground and gravel surfaces are not suitable for overloads of 120–150 kN per axle.
