Opis:: Główną cechą połączenia międzynaczepowego na kolejowym szlaku transportowym jest niezawodność. Równie ważną cechą wyróżniającą takie połączenie jest łatwość operacyjna w obrębie bimodalnego terminala. Dla spełnienia tych wymagań został zaprojektowany specjalny sprzęg międzynaczepowy; operacyjnie szybki, lekki do ręcznego udźwignięcia i niezawodny w pracy na szlaku. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi prezentację tego rozwiązania i jest wynikiem realizacji projektu rozwojowego NR R10-0065-10 „System transportu naczep drogowych na wózkach kolejowych w kombinowanym ruchu kolejowo-drogowym”.
Reliability is the main feature of the intertrailer connection on the railway transport route. The operational easiness within the bimodal terminal is also equally important feature distinguishing such a connection. The special, operationally fast, lightweight for manual lift and reliable during its work on the route coupling was designed to meet the above mentioned requirements. This article is a presentation of this solution and is a result of realization of the development project No R10-0065-10 „Transport system of the road trailers on the railway bogies in the combined railway-road traffic”.

Wyniki prac badawczych są rezultatem zrealizowanego projektu rozwojowego nr 10-0065-10 pt. System transportu naczep drogowych na wózkach kolejowych w kombinowanym ruchu kolejowo drogowym.
The subject of study is the essential presentation of creation process of the innovative transport system for the road semitrailers transport in the combined rail-road traffic, having no reference to the well-known transport systems. The way of reaching from the original conceptional idea to the mature construction of the system is presented in this study. The presented in the article solutions are the part of works carried out from many years in the Rail Vehicle Institute TABOR in Poznań concerning the projects being aimed at restoring the balance in disproportion between the road and railway transports. The results of the research works are the result of the realizing development project No10- 0065-10 titled "System of road semitrailers transport on the railway bogies in the combined rail-road traffic".

An innovative solution “Modular intermodal combined transport system” used to carry the road trailers is presented in this article. The basic components of the system structure are shown. The stages of forming the set of train in the horizontal handling technology and benefits connected with this type of handling are described. The system is compared to the existing technology of combined transport. The presented project is the result of research works within realization of the development project No. R10-0065-10” System of road trailers transport on the railway bogies for the combined rail-road traffic”.

This article presents an innovative concept of the wagon to transport of road standard semi-trailers in the combined traffic. The carrying structure of wagon and the way of jointing and locking of its segments are described. The analysis of different solutions of suspension and spring suspension of the road axles with reference to the presented wagon is given.The individual stages of the road semi-trailers loading on the carrying structure of the wagon are presented. The future directions of research on the development and implementation of innovative transport systems in combined traffic are determined.

W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję innowacyjnego rozwiązania wagonu dla transportu standardowych naczep drogowych w ruchu kombinowanym. Przedstawiono koncepcje wagonu oraz mechanizmu obrotu przeznaczonego do poziomego, skośnego przeładunku naczepy na wagon. Rozwiązanie może stanowić alternatywę dla francuskiego systemu Modalohr, niemieckiego CargoBeamer oraz szwedzkiego Flexiwaggon.

Opis:: W artykule zaprezentowano rezultaty symulacji numerycznej statycznej wytrzymałości konstrukcji nośnej platformy kolejowej służącej do przewozu naczep drogowych w modułowym systemie transportu kombinowanego, opracowanym w IPS „TABOR” – Poznań. W pierwszej części przedstawiono ogólnie zagadnienia dotyczące transportu intermodalnego w kontekście wymagań przepisów Technicznych Specyfikacji Interoperacyjności (TSI). Następnie omówiono koncepcję projektowanego systemu transportu naczep drogowych pod względem wymagań i kryteriów wytrzymałościowych według obowiązujących przepisów międzynarodowych. Zaprezentowano model obliczeniowy metody elementów skończonych (MES) opracowany dla konstrukcji nośnej wybranych elementów analizowanej platformy oraz przegląd wybranych wyników analizy wytrzymałości. Prezentowane rezultaty są wynikiem prac naukowo-badawczych realizowanych w ramach projektu rozwojowego nr R10-0065-10 „System transportu naczep drogowych na wózkach kolejowych w kombinowanym ruchu kolejowo-drogowym”.
The article presents the results of numerical simulation of the static strength of supporting construction of the railway platform used for the transport of road semi-trailers in a modular system of combined transport, developed in IPS "TABOR" -Poznan. The first section presents an overview of issues relating to the intermodal transport in the context of the requirements of the regulations of the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI). Then it discusses the concept of the designed road semi-trailers transport system in terms of the requirements and strength criteria according to the binding international rules. The computational model of the finite element method (FEM) developed for the supporting structure of selected elements of the platform and the review of selected results of the strength analysis are presented. The given results are the result of scientific-research works carried out within the development project No R10-0065-10 " Transport system of the road semitrailers on railway bogies in a combined rail-road traffic. "

This paper presents a road incident, which was caused by an extensive wear of towing coupling and influence of other maintenance factors. Conducted and illustrated results of vehicle-trail coupling interchangeably indicate on human errors and bad technical condition of the coupling, which resulted in a road accident.

Opis:: The article presents the experimental strength evaluation of modular car trailers with a maximum permissible total mass of up to 3500 kg and its application to assess the mechanical strength of box-type car trailers. Tests were carried out using an original test bench dedicated to fatigue testing. They aimed to compare a trailer made in traditional technology with a trailer equipped with a load-carrying structure containing a sandwich panel. As a result of the conducted work, the displacement values of the measurement points were measured. The deformation form of the trailer made in the traditional technology was compared with the trailer containing the sandwich panel. The proposed method of experimental strength evaluation of modular car trailers enables a quantitative assessment of the mechanical strength of the load-carrying structures of trailers. This results in improved safety of trailer operation in road traffic by identifying the critical elements of the load-carrying structure at the early design phase before the trailer is allowed to run on the road.

Opis:: A dynamic response of a semi-trailer suspension to a real road profile under two different loads was investigated in this study. The trailer was a low loader for transporting heavy and large loads which configuration could be adjusted to the current needs. During the described investigation the vehicle was composed of: detachable gooseneck, maximally extended low bed and 5 hydraulically steered axles comprised 2-axle and 3-axle assemblies. The experiments were performed for unloaded and loaded with 60 tons trailer, that was equal to maximum trailer pay load. Acceleration measurements at unsprung and sprung parts of the vehicle were applied. As a test surface a railway track crossing was chosen. Acceleration time series were analysed by the means of power spectral density. The isolation of free vibration and forced vibration frequencies and effectiveness of suspension damping over wide frequency range was done. Two characteristic signal bands were identified. In the frequency range up to 10 Hz vehicle vibration energy decreased for the load increase for both, sprung and unsprung parts. In contrast, in the range between 10 and 25 Hz at higher load increase of vibration energy was noticed, however only at unsprung mass. Data analysis revealed complexity of vehicle vertical acceleration as a response to the road profile. Nevertheless, it allowed for estimation of the trailer dynamic loads under real road conditions.

The article presents the next innovative rail transport solutions to transport of the semi-trailers which is developed in the IPS TABOR. It is presented the concept of a transport system with a horizontal loading of semi-trailers on a two-part railway platform consisting of the front and rear running gear system. The presented conceptional project of the system is a result of research works carried out within the realization of the development project No. R10-0065-10 "The transport system of the road trailers on the railway bogies in the combined rail – road traffic".

Opis:: This paper presents some aspects of employing measurements of deceleration for the technical analysis of the brake process of cars with light luggage trailers. The analysis of the deceleration enables to assess the technical state regarding traffic safety and it can also be used for analysing the course of traffic accidents. The measurements of deceleration enables to determine the influence of load on the brake process for different kinds of cars. This method can be employed as the only way of examining during the periodical inspections and services for some kinds of trailers.
W artykule przedstawiono niektóre aspekty wykorzystania pomiaru opóźnienia hamownia do analizy procesu hamowania samochodu osobowego z lekką przyczepą bagażową. Analiza przebiegu opóźnienia hamowania umożliwia ocenę stanu technicznego w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym oraz może być wykorzystywana w analizie przyczyn kolizji drogowych. Pomiar opóźnienia hamowania umożliwia określenie wpływu ładunku na przebieg procesu hamownia dla różnych typów pojazdów. W przypadku niektórych typów przyczep jest jedyną metodą, którą można zastosować zarówno podczas obsługi pojazdu, jak i okresowego badania technicznego.

Opis:: In the paper the environmental nuisance of transport of goods loaded in semi-trailers was analysed, using both road and rail transport. In the second case the transport of semi-trailers using intermodal wagons pulled by the diesel locomotive was taken into account. The ecological aspects focused on such harmful compounds as: carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.
W artykule przeprowadzono analizę uciążliwości środowiskowej przewozu towarów naczepami, z wykorzystaniem zarówno transportu drogowego, jak i kolejowego. Aspekty ekologiczne koncentrowały się na takich szkodliwych związkach, jak: tlenek węgla, węglowodory i tlenki azotu.

Opis:: The paper deals with the proposal of new maintenance system of air brake system on a semitrailer combination. The structure of semi-trailer and the current maintenance system of trailers are described with focus on the basic air brake system design. Analysis of wear and damage of air brake system components used on the semi-trailer combination based on real experience from practice and creation of the FMECA analysis of the system using software support are presented. Based on the analysis performed, a new system of maintenance was designed which was aimed at reduction of the risk related to failure consequences. The proposed system uses RPN (risk priority number) values resulting from the proposed preventive maintenance system and is compared with the currentmaintenance system. Main objective was to reduce the impact of any failure in any component on the air brake system. On the basis of the analysis subsequently new methods of failures detection of air brake system components, preventive measures, and suggested new intervals of preventive maintenance for the air brake system are also proposed. Proposed intervals of preventive maintenance execution are based on the calculation of the total costs associated with the consequences of failuresthat may arise from them and compared with costs associated with service inspections carried out on the analysed semi-trailer fleet. The proposed maintenance system has decreased RPN values in comparison with the current system and in practical operation is expected to increase safety of semitrailer combinations, thus minimize probability of a failure in any component of the air brake system.
