Finland is an example of a country which, having implemented an "accelerated housing" strategy for many years, has achieved high standards in meeting the housing needs of its people. The data cited by the author of this article show that Poland remains a long way behind Finland in terms of the development of housing, which comes as no surprise in the context of the state's retreat.

Opis:: The first buildings composed of prefabricated elements appeared in Poland in the 1960s and large housing estates were constructed in this technology already in the 1970s. Rising housing demands had impact on the rapid development of factory-produced structures and the creation of a series of technologies, such as Wk-70, Wrocław Large Panel (WWP) or the Szczecin system (Sz-s). Over the years, several defects of this technology have surfaced on different levels of building erection or exploitation. Part of these flaws was related with the aesthetics of the structures, without influence in their construction, whereas others required fast actions for maintenance of safety to the residents. The paper presents an overview of the most important Polish systems of large panel structures, as well as the sources of defects and flaws that may appear in buildings constructed in this technology.

Opis:: Each building can be characterized with an energetic quality which is described by energetic indexes. Heat transfer coefficients U for building envelope and woodwork is the basis to count them. Both earlier mentioned coefficients and indexes shouldn’t exceed maximum legitimate value, which are determined in the specification (Regulation issued by the Minister of Transportation, Construction and Water Management from 5 July 2013 changing the concerning technical requirements, with which buildings and their location should comply (Journal of Laws, No. 2013, item 926 and further amendment). The present requirements say that new-designed building should have EP’s index on the maximum level 120 kWh/m2 ⋅year. This article shows the results of calculations of residential building requirement for heat energy consumption in three variants of used fuels: carbon, gas and biomass. The calculations were done in Arcadia TERMO programme. Authors verified the results of calculations in relation to WT 2014, WT2017 and WT2021 requirements and offered the way to bring the value of EP’s index down.

Opis:: Kharkiv’s urban development experienced an unprecedented leap at the turn of the 20th century. It was coursed mostly by the economical growth, social change and cultural shift. Kharkiv’s master plan of 1895 inevitably influenced the shaping of the new urban planning and spatial compositions. This research investigates the planning structures of the most remarkable non-ecclesiastical buildings designed by the prominent architect and artist Volodymyr Pokrovsky (1863–1924) in Kharkiv during the 1910s. The authors explore specifically their notable features in context of Kharkiv’s urban development.

Opis:: The amendment to the income tax laws, introduced in 2022 in Poland, made it impossible for entrepreneurs, among other things, to include depreciation deductions on residential property in their tax-deductible costs. The aim of the article is to analyse the provisions introducing the above limitation, i.e., Article 22c point 2 of the Personal Income Tax Act and Article 16 point 2a of the Corporate Income Tax Act, and their consequences for entrepreneurs. The author also discusses the constitutionality of the provisions and the possibility of tax optimization consisting in avoiding the negative consequences of their application. The considerations are mainly based on the analysis of the Polish legal acts, as well as the case law of tax authorities and administrative courts.

Opis:: W referacie przedstawiono problemy związane z wystąpieniem stanu awaryjnego konstrukcji stropu żelbetowego nad garażem podziemnym, w wielorodzinnym budynku mieszkalnym, wykonywanym w wydzielonym, rewitalizowanym obszarze zabudowy miejskiej. W pracy wskazano na przyczyny powstałych zagrożeń bezpieczeństwa - błędne założenia projektowe a także błędy wykonawcze, które znaczne spotęgowały uszkodzenia realizowanej konstrukcji. We wnioskach końcowych podano zalecenia wykonawcze, uwzględniające optymalny sposób naprawy nie tylko ze względów ekonomicznych, ale także zapewniający prawidłowe i bezpieczne użytkowania realizowanego obiektu.
In this paper problems related to a failure state of a reinforced concrete ceiling over a subterranean carpark in a multi-family residential building constructed in a detached, revitalised zone of urban building are discussed. The reasons for occurred safety risks were pointed out - wrong design assumptions and workmanship errors increasing the damage to the constructed structure. The final remarks include construction recommendations taking into account a repair method, which is optimal not only from an economic point of view but also ensuring a proper and safe service of the constructed object.

The paper presents the security system connected to the intelligent home management system on the example of the Fibaro network structure. Issues related to the design, selection and installation of security system devices were presented. On the basis of the data provided, it is also possible to compare the operation of the systems used to analyze the effectiveness of individual protections.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono najważniejsze - zdaniem autora - wysokościowe budynki mieszkalne wybudowane w Polsce w okresie transformacji. Pierwszym celem pracy jest ustalenie przyczyn powstania takich obiektów i analiza cech architektonicznych wybranych przykładów w celu określenia tendencji kształtowania architektury takich obiektów w kraju. Drugim celem pracy jest prezentacja problemów przestrzennych lokalizacji wysokościowych budynków mieszkalnych w strukturach polskich miast i wiążąca się z tym dyskusja. Rezultaty badań to identyfikacja rozwiązań architektonicznych wysokościowych budynków mieszkalnych w Polsce oraz koncepcji ich lokalizacji w miastach. W niniejszym artykule autor posługuje się metodą analizy studium przypadku, metodą opisową analizy wybranych koncepcji zabudowy obszarów śródmiejskich wybranych miast oraz badaniami „in situ”.
In the article there were presented the most important - in the author’s opinion - residential high - rise buildings constructed in Poland in the transformation period. The first goal of work is establishing of reasons of appearing such buildings and analysis of architectural features chosen examples in order to find some architectural tendencies of such buildings in the country. The second goal is presentation and discussion of spatial problems of locations residential tower buildings in the structures of Polish cities. The results of research are - identification of architectural solutions of residential tower buildings in Poland and identification of concepts of their locations in the cities. In this article the author use the method of case study analysis, the method of characteristic chosen concepts of development of the cities and the method “in situ”.

Opis:: The article presents the results of direct research on residential buildings and their modernization in selected ecological farms of the Mazovia region. The research area covered two poviats (counties) in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship: Makowski and Ostrołęcki. A total of 10 residential buildings on farms were examined. The study was conducted based on conversations with owners during on site visits.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań bezpośrednich dotyczących budynków mieszkalnych i ich modernizacji w wybranych gospodarstwach ekologicznych Mazowsza. Jako obszar badawczy wybrano powiaty województwa mazowieckiego: makowski i ostrołęcki. Przebadano łącznie budynki mieszkalne w 10 gospodarstwach. Badania przeprowadzono opierając się na wizji lokalnej i rozmowach z właścicielami.

Opis:: Investors are obliged to carry out construction processes based on the binding rules and regulations. However, these regulations are constantly evolving and subject to various attempts of improvement. Therefore, the aim of this article is an attempt to present the changes that have recently occured in the Polish process of construction process of a single-family residential building, in the context of proceedings before architectural and construction administration authorities. Basic legal acts regulating this procedure have been amended, such as: the Construction Law Act and the Regulation of the Minister of Development on the detailed scope and form of a construction design. Since these regulations have changed their provisions many times over the years, the article focuses on the changes that entered into force during 2020 and 2021. An additional aim of the article is to check and show how these changes were adopted by both investors and participants in the construction process, such as designers. In order to achieve this goal, a survey was conducted among them in Małopolska region. The data concerning the submitted applications for permits for the construction of a single-family residential building, within the mentioned years, have been analyzed.
Inwestorzy zobowiązani są realizować procesy budowlane w oparciu o obwiązujące zasady i przepisy. Przepisy te jednak ciągle ewoluują i poddawane są różnym próbom doskonalenia. Dlatego też, celem zamierzonego artykułu jest próba przedstawienia zmian, jakie zaszły w ostatnim czasie, w polskim procesie budowy budynku mieszkalnego jednorodzinnego, w kontekście postępowania przed organami administracji architektoniczno-budowlanej. Nowelizacji uległy podstawowe akty prawne, regulujące to postępowanie, takie jak: Ustawa Prawo Budowlane oraz Rozporządzenie Ministra Rozwoju w sprawie szczegółowego zakresu i formy projektu budowlanego. Ponieważ na przestrzeni lat przepisy te zmieniały swoje zapisy wielokrotnie w artykule skupiono się na zmianach, które weszły w życie na przestrzeni roku 2020 oraz 2021. Dodatkowym celem artykułu jest sprawdzenie i pokazanie, jak zmiany te zostały przyjęte zarówno przez inwestorów, jak i uczestników procesu budowlanego, jakimi są projektanci. Aby cel ten mógł zostać osiągnięty, przeprowadzono badania wśród tych osób, na terenie Małopolski. Analizie poddano dane dotyczące złożonych wniosków o wydanie pozwolenia na budowę budynku mieszkalnego, jednorodzinnego w wymienionych latach.
