Artykuł dotyczy Bibliografii Dorobku Pracowników Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w ostatnich kilku latach. Omówiono zmiany zaistniałe w bazie bibliograficznej będącej źródłem referencyjnym i wskazano, że jej obecny kształt wynika z powiązań z systemami zewnętrznymi: uczelnianymi (Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach) i krajowymi (ministerialnymi). Na kształt bazy mają wpływ: Portal Pracownika, Polska Bibliografia Naukowa (PBN), a w ostatnim czasie Repozytorium Uniwersytetu Śląskiego RE-BUŚ. Przedstawiono zastosowanie formatu MARC21, umożliwienie zastosowania punktacji ministerialnej w rekordzie bibliograficznym, procedury eksportu do Polskiej Bibliografii Narodowej, a także do Portalu Pracownika. Zaprezentowano, w jaki sposób odbywa się rejestrowanie numeru profilowego z systemu ORCID i eksport dorobku w formacie BibTeX. Wskazano na sposób dodawania linku do repozytorium uniwersyteckiego.
The article concerns the Bibliography of the Achievements of Employees of the University of Silesia in Katowice in the last few years. Changes in the bibliographic database resulting from cooperation with external systems (local and government systems) are presented. Discussed Systems that affect the current shape of the database: Employee Portal, Polish National Bibliography (PBN) and Repository of the University of Silesia in Katowice RE-BUŚ. The following changes were presented: implementation of the MARC21 Format, application of the ministerial publication points in the bibliographic record, export procedures to databases (Polish National Bibliography and Employee Portal). The way of registering the ORCID number is presented and export of publications in the BibTeX format. The method of adding a link to the university’s Repository of the University of Silesia in Katowice RE-BUŚ was indicated.

The European Document Exchange System - Poland (EWD-P), developed by Rodan Systems SA is one of the most modern electronic document exchange systems in European Union. EWD-P is a workflow system that facilitates decision-making within the state bureaucratic system, with a special brief to work out official Polish government standpoints on numerous legislative issues constantly arising within the EU. The EWD-P project has created an effective platform for electronic exchange of documents related to the EU legislative process. The intelligent workflow management functionality aims to support a complex flow of documents through the meanders of the central government administration. The EWD-P system includes a high-level classification of documents using an artificial intelligence technique for document categorization. The EWD-P system simplifies interaction between ministerial departments involved in elaboration of a final common position and facilitates a more efficient organization of work within government and other public administration institutions involved in the EU legislative process.

Opis:
Disposal facilities for radioactive wastes comprise a series of engineered barriers whose purpose is to contain the radionuclides until their radiation hazard has decreased to acceptable levels. In this regard, it is required that the long-term functionality of the system of barriers be evaluated by a quantitative risk analysis procedure, also called performance assessment. In this paper, a Monte Carlo simulation-based reliability model is propounded for the preliminary analysis of the safety performance of a radioactive waste repository, accounting also for barrier degradation processes. The model strengths are: simplicity, chich allows ease of computation, and flexibility, which allows modification to account for various physical aspects and inter-comparison of their effects. An application to a case study of literature is presented to validate the approach and demonstrate its flexibility.

The article refers to the idea of the use of electronic repository to store standardised scheme of processes between a Logistics Service Provider and its business partners. Application of repository for automatic or semi-automatic configuration of interoperability in electronic data interchange between information systems of different companies based on transport (road, rail, sea and combined) related processes. Standardisation includes processes, scheme of cooperation and related to them, electronic messages.
Tematem referatu jest pokazanie idei wykorzystania elektronicznego repozytorium dla przechowywania standardowych schematów procesów zachodzących pomiędzy operatorem logistycznym a jego otoczeniem, oraz zastosowania repozytorium do automatycznej lub półautomatycznej konfiguracji współpracy, w zakresie elektronicznej wymiany danych między systemami komputerowymi różnych przedsiębiorstw, na przykładzie procesów związanych z transportem (drogowym, kolejowym, morskim oraz kombinowanym). Standaryzacja obejmuje zarówno procesy, jak i schematy współpracy oraz powiązane z nimi dokumenty elektroniczne.

Opis:
The need for creating content repository stores for e-learning systems grows as the number of available materials increases. Moreover, along with the number of courses, the problem of describing them in a unified form appears. While there are standards used for strict classification of e-learning content, the store model still seems to be based on preservative relational databases approach. In this paper we introduce an idea to represent the e-learning content management information in the well organized object-oriented form based on a prospective object-oriented database.

The article presents a formal model for a data structures oriented URL database, which can be used as an alternative for a relational oriented URL database.
W artykule omówiono zastosowanie struktur danych z pakietu Berkeley DB, takich jak: tablice z haszowaniem i b-drzewa do implementacji wysoko wydajnych baz danych adresów URL. Opis:
Work, workers, and workers’ living conditions quickly became a field of interest for photographers. Already by the middle of the 19th century there were photographs showing working people. Nevertheless, the contexts in which such photographs were taken varied considerably. The first part of this article presents, in the historical perspective, the different causes and strategies involved in making these types of documents, up to the moment when photographs began to appear that had been made by workers themselves. The movement to photograph workers, which developed in the first decades of the 20th century, is recalled in the second part of the article (using the examples of the Weimar Republic and Soviet Russia). The third part is devoted to photographic projects whose purpose was to increase the productivity of, and control over, workers. Photography is presented as a scientific tool for measuring movement and as an illustration of the most effective manners of organizing work. At the end, the Digital Repository of Worker Photography is described, as an example of work on a collection of photos and the creation of a platform permitting further work, but also as a legal and methodological problem.

Opis:
Fakt, że rozwój nauki możliwy jest jedynie wówczas, gdy zapewni się dostęp do wyników i wniosków z przeprowadzanych badań, od dawna znany jest w środowisku naukowym. W latach dziewięćdziesiątych ubiegłego stulecia refleksja ta stała się impulsem do powstania ruchu Open Access (OA) i budowania pierwszych otwartych archiwów, mających przyspieszyć przepływ informacji. W artykule przybliżono założenia idei OA, przyczyniającej się do popularyzacji wiedzy oraz jej rozwoju; na przykładzie Repozytorium Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego przedstawiono sposób funkcjonowania repozytoriów, korzyści płynące z publikowania w otwartym dostępie, oraz wskazano miejsce, jakie repozytoria instytucjonalne mogą zajmować w komunikacji naukowej.
The fact that the development of science is possible only when access is made to the results and the conclusions associated with the research which was conducted has been familiar for a long time in the scholarly community. In the 1990s this reflection became an impulse for the establishment of the Open Access movement (OA) and for the construction of the first open archives which were supposed to accelerate the flow of information. The article familiarises the reader with the premises of the OA concept which contributes to the popularisation of knowledge and its development, it presents on the basis of the example of the Jagiellonian University Repository the manner of the functioning of repositories, the benefits which are associated with the opportunity to publish works in the open access framework and it indicates the position which institutional digital libraries may assume in scholarly communication.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie działań poprzedzających wprowadzenie Polityki Otwartego Dostępu wobec publikacji naukowych na Politechnice Krakowskiej (PK). Działania, których skutkiem było przyjęcie otwartego mandatu na PK, obejmowały m.in.: przygotowanie infrastruktury informatycznej – w tym utworzenie Repozytorium PK, opracowanie dokumentów prawnych, udostępnienie rozpraw doktorskich, wprowadzenie otwartych licencji dla czasopism naukowych wydawanych na PK, działania informacyjne i edukacyjne w zakresie OA. Prace te realizowano zgodnie z wytycznymi zawartymi w dokumentach rządowych oraz na podstawie praktycznych rozwiązań zrealizowanych w instytucjach naukowych. Konsekwencją tych działań było wprowadzenie, na mocy zarządzenia Rektora PK z dnia 22 marca 2019 roku, Polityki Otwartego Dostępu na PK. W podsumowaniu omówiono również dane przedstawione w pierwszym Raporcie z realizacji Polityki Otwartego Dostępu na Politechnice Krakowskiej.
The article presents actions that preceded the introduction of open access policy for scientific publications at the Cracow University of Technology. These included: preparation of the IT infrastructure, providing access to doctoral dissertations, creating the CUT Repository, development of legal documents, introducing open licenses for scientific journals published at the CUT, information and educational actions in the field of OA. These works were carried out following the guidelines contained in government documents and based on practical solutions implemented in this area in the scientific community. The above-mentioned actions led to the introduction of Open Access Policy at the CUT under the Ordinance of the Rector of the CUT of 22 March 2019. The article also discusses the data presented in the first report on the implementation of the Open Access Policy at the Cracow University of Technology and the resulting conclusions.

Zmieniające się, dynamiczne i wymagające otoczenie współczesnej biblioteki naukowej wywiera nacisk na procesy innowacyjne związane ze zmianami modelu zarządzania. Tematem artykułu są zmiany w organizacji i systemie zarządzania w Bibliotece Uniwersytetu Finlandii Wschodniej przeprowadzone w związku z fuzją poszczególnych jednostek bibliotecznych. W artykule opisano przeobrażenia na poziomie struktury organizacyjnej, polityki gromadzenia, przechowywania i udostępniania zbiorów oraz w zakresie zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi w kontekście koncepcji organizacji uczącej się, która potrafi funkcjonować w niestabilnym otoczeniu, dostosowuje się do zmian, ale także poszukuje alternatywy zapewniającej ciągłość i rozwój organizacji.
The ever-changing, dynamic and increasingly more and more demanding environment of the modern research library exerts pressure on innovative processes related to changes in the applicable managing model. The article discusses the changes in the organization and the managing system at the library of the University of Eastern Finland that had to be effected as a result of a merging process of individual library units into one. The article provides a description of a number of the said transformations at the level of the organizational structure, acquisition policy, storage and circulation of resources and at the level of human resources management within the context of the concept of the institution that has to learn in the process and can adjust itself to unstable environment and the following changes. Within this concept, the library is also to be in position to be ready to adopt alternative solutions that would secure continuity and further development of the institution.

The near-surface “RADON” type radioactive waste repository, installed in 1963 and designed to store radioactive waste formed in industry, medicine and scientific investigations, was closed in 1989 because it did not meet the requirements imposed on the radioactive waste disposal. A comparatively small amount of radioactive waste is stored in this repository, but the inventory comprises various kinds of waste: short-lived low-level radioactive waste, short-lived low and intermediate radioactive waste, long-lived intermediate and high-level radioactive waste. The possible site-specific radionuclide migration through the groundwater pathway as well as the human exposure are considered by the computer program RESRAD-OFFSITE in this paper. The analysis of the obtained data shows that out of all stored radionuclides only H-3, C-14 and Cl-36 exceeding the dose constraint of 0.2 mSv can be considered as dangerous. The monitoring carried out in the repository environment has shown the contamination of groundwater with radioactive tritium and a significant reduction of contamination after construction of additional protective engineering barriers. For the assessment of the contribution of separate site-specific parameters of the model taking into account uncertainties of the model and parameters to the annual effective dose, the computer code RESRAD-OFFSITE provides the possibility of applying the regression analysis. It has been determined that the aquifer lateral dispersion as well as the hydraulic gradient, the radionuclide activity concentration in the repository together with the rate of penetration into the environment and the precipitation amount have the largest influence on the assessment accuracy of annual effective doses.

Opis:
A closed near-surface radioactive waste repository is the source of various radionuclides causing the human exposure. Recent investigations confi rm an effectiveness of the engineering barriers installed in 2006 to prevent the penetration of radionuclides to the environment. The tritium activity concentration in groundwater decreased from tens of kBq/l to below hundreds of Bq/l. The monitoring and groundwater level data suggest the leaching of tritium from previously contaminated layers of unsaturated zone by rising groundwater while 210Pb may disperse as a decay product of 226Ra daughters.

Studies show that a significant number of employees steal data when changing jobs. Insider attackers who have the authorization to access the best-kept secrets of organizations pose a great challenge for organizational security. Although increasing efforts have been spent on identifying insider attacks, little research concentrates on detecting data exfiltration activities. This paper proposes a model for identifying data exfiltration activities by insiders. It measures the concentration of file repository access data for finding certain suspicious activities. It also uses statistical methods to profile legitimate uses of file repositories by authorized users. By analyzing legitimate file repository access logs, user access profiles are created and can be employed to detect a large set of data exfiltration activities. The effectiveness of the proposed model was tested with file access histories from the subversion logs of the popular open source project KDE.

Opis:
Jacek Jackowski is a musician and ethnomusicologist, and the head of the Phonographic Collection at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He specializes in the conservation, digitization and archiving of old sound recordings. He is a field researcher and author of many academic articles on traditional, Catholic and folk religious culture associated with musical behaviours. He also published numerous articles and books on early folk music recordings and their digitization (Zachować dawne nagrania, Warszawa 2014; Polska muzyka tradycyjna – dziedzictwo fonograficzne, t. 1, Warszawa 2017; t. 2, Warszawa 2019), as well as 17 CD albums of folk songs and music from Kashubia, Kurpie, Podhale, Łowicz, Orava, South Wielkopolska and many other regions of Poland. Since 2014 he has been managing the Etnofon project, the goal of which is to create, develop and maintain a central digital repository of documentary phonographic and film recordings capturing Polish traditional songs and music as well as folk dance.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości modyfikacjii rozbudowy zasobów systemu INSTO wspomagającego bezpieczne utrzymanie ruchu maszyn. Omówiono rozwiązania programowe zwiększające funkcjonalność systemu, pozwalające na modyfikację i rozbudowę zawartości repozytorium wiedzy o dodatkowe treści.
Possibility of modification and extension of resources of INSTO system, which supports safe operation of the machines, is presented in the paper. Programme solutions increasing functionality of the system enabling modification and extension of knowledge repository by the additional files are discussed
