    The publication contains a brief description of the methods currently used in wireless remote electricity meter reading, especially those that use standard Wi-Fi for data transmission. Additionally we present the design and execution, of the our module for communication with the electricity meter and a computer to record reading data in a database.

    W pracy opisano metody zdalnego odczytu różnego rodzaju liczników, a w szczególności liczników energii elektrycznej. Metody podzielono ze względu na rodzaj użytego medium transmisyjnego między licznikiem, urządzeniem pośredniczącym w transmisji, a bazą danych. Publikacja zawiera opis systemu do odczytu liczników oparty na technologii GSM wykorzystujący wiadomości tekstowe SMS lub pakietową transmisję danych GPRS i APN.
    The paper describes how different types of remote reading of electricity. The methods of reading are divided by type of transmission medium used from the meter to the intermediary device in the transmission or from the device to the master database. Publication also includes a description of the meter reading system based on GSM technology through the use of text messaging - SMS, GPRS and APN.

    Publikacja zawiera opis najczęściej obecnie stosowanych bezprzewodowych metod zdalnego odczytu liczników energii elektrycznej, a także sposoby wdrożenia wybranych metod w praktyce. Przedstawiono standardy ZigBee, WiFi i GSM uwzględniając ich wady i zalety predysponujące do współpracy z licznikami i serwerem przechowującym odczytane dane pomiarowe. W drugiej części pracy pokazano zrealizowane praktycznie urządzenia modułów komunikacyjnych wykorzystywane w zdalnym odczycie liczników i protokoły transmisyjne umożliwiające współpracę z wieloma licznikami. W podsumowaniu porównano wybrane metody bezprzewodowego odczytu liczników energii elektrycznej, a także zaprezentowano jakie są obszary zastosowania i możliwości użycia poszczególnych rozwiązań zdalnego odczytu.
    The paper presents a description of methods currently used for wireless remote meter reading of electricity and ways to implement the chosen methods in practice. There are described ZigBee, WiFi and GSM standards with their advantages and disadvantages for cooperation with meters and a server that stores the read out measurement data. The second part shows practically realized devices and communication protocols for the cooperation with many meters. The summary contains comparison of the methods chosen for wireless electricity meter reading, and information about the areas of using the presented methods. Application and various solutions for remote reading are presented in Table 1. Basing on the study results, it can be concluded that the transmission by the GSM standard has much more reliable data transfer than the WiFi and ZigBee standards. Solutions based on the WiFi and ZigBee standards, despite a small range compared to GSM, do not require additional operator charges and are energy efficient. In practice hybrid solutions and those dependent on the location of a measurement object are the best ones.

    Internet of Things (IoT) is an IT concept consisting in connecting material objects both together and to the internet. This term is complicated to define. Most people associate this term with smartphones or computers, but the world of IoT is definitely wider. IoT was used for the first time in 1999 by Kevin Ashton, who is an expert in technical solutions, but it took more than a decade for people to take this idea seriously. Currently, almost all of the elements surrounding us can be equipped with a chip that allows them to connect to the Internet. The idea of the IoT is that it should encompass all the items that can be connected to the global network. This article firstly discusses issues related to the low-power wide-area LoRaWAN network, which was created for the needs of communication with IoT. Next, the network architecture and its characteristic features are described, followed by a list of available transmission channels for individual regions and description of components of expressions allowing to select the transmission parameters for the application requirements. Next, the article describes practical implementation of IoT with the use of LoRaWAN standard on the example of a system for archiving impulse readings from gas meter index of a bellows gas meter. Finally, this article describes the construction of the device and the principle of its operation. Most importantly, the results of the test aimed at checking the correctness of data transmission from the pulse transmitter to the network server, proving the correct operation of the system, were given in this article. This article also presents an example of the implementation for the module built aimed at the optimization of gas consumption. The results of checking the maximum range of the system built were also given. This correctness of data transmission at a distance of 690 meters in urban areas and 915 meters in the area with single-family houses was found.

In the paper, after an introduction to the European Standards on smart metering, two visual sensors thought to solve typical metering problems in water public networks are described. Particular detail is given hardware and software solutions and the perspective of integration with analog gas and electric energy metering devices.

    Biblioterapia reminiscencyjna to oparta o wspomnienia forma terapii czytelniczej przeznaczona dla osób starszych. Mechanizm biblioterapii opiera się na trzech zależnych od siebie etapach: identyfikacji, katharsis oraz wglądu w siebie. Tematy reminiscencyjne są ułożone w porządku chronologicznym, wspominanie historii życia wzmacnia pamięć osób starszych, umożliwia ekspresję emocji oraz poprawia dobrostan psychiczny. Biblioterapia reminiscencyjna podczas epidemii COVID-19, mając na uwadze swoją skuteczność, powinna zmienić formę na teleterapię, skoncentrować się na terapii indywidualnej bądź terapii par, oraz opierać się na ustandaryzowanym programie biblioterapeutycznym.
    Reminiscence bibliotherapy is a memory-based form of reading therapy intended for the elderly. The bibliotherapy mechanism is based on three dependent stages: identification, catharsis and insight. The reminiscence themes are arranged in chronological order, reminiscing the life history strengthens the memory of the elderly, enables the expression of emotions and improves mental well-being. Bearing in mind its effectiveness, reminiscence bibliotherapy during the COVID-19 epidemic should change its form into teletherapy, focus on individual or couple therapy and be based on a standardized bibliotherapeutic program.
