    Opis:
    The article presents the concept of hospital telemetric system. The goal of the project is a model of early warning systems for patients outside intensive care wards. Proposed system is based on constant telemetric monitoring using objective physiological parameters. Using low-distance sensor network which covers body of a patient, so-called BAN (Body Area Network) is the main innovation of the project. Some preliminary results of ECG analysis and interpretation modules and units of proposed system will be presented.

    The article is dedicatded to the technology for monitoring and diagnosing GSE (Ground Support Equipement). The system of remote diagnostics is a telecommunication solution enabling data transmission regarding the technical condition or location of devices dislocations. There is the possibility to encrypt data transmition for safety purposes. The system of inteligent remote diagnostics aids to collect information for analysis, providing information about the technical condition of devices and their readiness for use and locations of the equipment. Thanks to its continous monitoring, it is possible to generate periodical reports regarding the technical state of the item as well as delivering information regarding further uses and the necessity of maintanence and service. Using the remote, inteligent diagnostic system, helps to increase the effectiveness of the equipment its efficiency and safety.

    Urządzenia wykorzystywane do budowy zrobotyzowanych stanowisk produkcyjnych są dzisiaj powszechnie wyposażane w inteligentne sterowanie. Umożliwia ono nie tylko wydajną wymianę informacji z innymi komponentami instalacji lecz również pozwala implementować bardzo skuteczne, programowo- sprzętowe narzędzia diagnostyczne. Operatorzy i technolodzy zyskują możliwość monitorowania stanu tych urządzeń, jak też przebiegu procesu. Zastosowanie kontrolerów komunikacyjnych i przyłączenie urządzeń do sieci globalnej umożliwia realizację tego monitoringu w trybie zdalnym. Jego efektywność podnosi wykorzystanie nowoczesnych rozwiązań ICT. W artykule przedstawiono praktyczne rozwiązanie realizujące zdalny monitoring zrobotyzowanej instalacji spawalniczej i wykorzystujące serwisy WEB 2.0.
    Equipment used for the construction of robotic manufacturing cells are now commonly equipped with intelligent control. It not only enables efficient exchange of information with other components of the system but also allows to implement a very efficient hardware and software diagnostic tools. Operators and technologists gain the ability to monitor the status of these devices, as well as the process. The use of communication controllers and connecting devices to the global network enables the realization of this monitoring in remote mode. Its effectiveness can be increased by the use of modern ICT solutions. The article presents a practical example of implementation of remote monitoring of the welding system with the use of WEB 2.0 services.

    Opis:
    The transport safety is a property of the transport process (movement of individuals and/or goods), characterized by absence of danger to life and health of individuals [1,2,10]. This process should represent a high reliability and safety. The measure of safety is certainty that components of the transport process will remain intact during operation, except for natural changes due to ageing and wear. To ensure a sufficient safety level, it is vital to employ the electronic transport systems which aim is to increase the safety of transferred individuals and goods. The electronic transport systems are designed to detect the threats that occur during the transport process (for both stationary and moving objects). This article presents influence of the electromagnetic interferences within vast railway area on the electronic transport systems with one transmission bus. These electromagnetic interferences are able to completely compromise the electronic system, induce the voltage in the transmission buses or in other components of the system and trigger the alarm (higher probability of false alarm). While operating the transport safety system, full spectrum of electromagnetic interferences should be taken into account. Due to complex behavior of the electromagnetic waves during penetration (propagation), influence of the electromagnetic interferences requires separate analyzes for different frequency bands.

    This article presents the application of eddy current methods in non-destructive diagnostic tests for structural materials and components. The authors discuss the effect of the formation of eddy currents in a material subject to an alternating electromagnetic field, and give an overview of the method followed by the examples of its application.

    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja opinii uczniów klas starszych szkoły podstawowej (klasy V–VIII) oraz szkół ponadpodstawowych na temat różnych aspektów zdalnej edukacji, jak jej organizacja i przebieg, trudności obiektywne i subiektywne deklarowane przez uczniów, wsparcie ze strony środowiska szkolnego i rodzinnego, relacje rówieśnicze. Do badania wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego oraz technikę ankiety. Badanie przeprowadzono wśród uczniów gliwickich szkół w formie online w ramach współpracy Uniwersytetu Śląskiego ze środowiskiem lokalnym. Zebrany materiał empiryczny pokazuje ocenę zdalnej edukacji przez uczniów. Do jej zalet zaliczyli: łatwość posługiwania się narzędziami cyfrowymi oraz wsparcie ze strony rodziców i nauczycieli. Wśród negatywnych stron nauki online wymienili: trudności ze skupieniem uwagi, organizacją pracy własnej i samodyscypliną, spadek zaangażowania, negatywne emocje (stres, zdenerwowanie, zmęczenie, lęk dotyczący zdawalności egzaminów), brak bezpośrednich kontaktów z rówieśnikami. Ogólnie uczniowie gorzej ocenili jakość zdalnej edukacji w porównaniu z tradycyjną. Wnioski z badań stały się podstawą do sformułowania propozycji rekomendacji służących poprawie jakości edukacji w podobnych sytuacjach.
    The aim of the article is to present the opinions of students from older grades of primary school (grades V–VIII) as well as secondary school students on various aspects of remote education, such as: its organization, objective and subjective difficulties declared by students, support from the school, family and peers. A diagnostic survey and a questionnaire technique were used for the study. The research was conducted online among students from Gliwice schools, as part of the cooperation between the University of Silesia and the local community. The collected empirical material reveals the students’ opinions on remote education. Its advantages include: ease of use of digital tools and support from parents and teachers. Among the negative sides of online learning, they mention: difficulties with focusing attention, the necessity to organize one’s own work and self-discipline, decreased involvement, negative emotions (stress, nervousness, fatigue, fear of failing exams), lack of direct contact with peers. Overall, the students assessed the quality of remote education as worse compared to traditional education. The conclusions from the research became the basis for formulating recommendations for the improvement of the quality of education in similar situations.
