The religion teacher performs a significant role in religion teaching at school. One of the meaningful elements of this service is love understood as moral value. Hence, answers have been sought to the following questions: what role is played by love in the religion teacher’s educational work? What factors condition the religion teacher’s educational work that is inspired by love? Answering these questions first the author tried to explain the terms that are key ones for the issue addressed in the present article, i.e. “love”, “value”, “the religion teacher’s work”. She refers here to personalistic philosophy and pedagogy as well as to theology. Against the background of these concepts the questions that are fundamental for the catechetical service are shown, as they are based on Christian axiology. It is shown that love understood first of all as an encounter with another man, affirmation of his person, being a gift for him, showing kindness to him, appears as a significant moral value in the religion teacher’s educational work. It is in the center of catechetical service and protects one from pragmatism or instrumentalism, contributing to building genuine bonds with God and with another man.

Nauczanie religii odgrywa bardzo ważną rolę w wychowaniu młodego pokolenia. Jest ono obecne w polskim systemie oświaty. Zgodnie z przepisem art. 12 ustawy o systemie oświaty, nauka religii jest organizowana na życzenie rodziców w publicznych przedszkolach, szkołach podstawowych, gimnazjach i ponadgimnajalnych. Kształt przepisów dotyczących nauczania religii w szkołach i przedszkolach publicznych nakłada obowiązek współpracy dyrektora szkoły z Kościołami i związkami wyznaniowymi w zakresie nauczania religii. Najbardziej widoczne jest to w zakresie zatrudniania nauczycieli religii. Wprawdzie podmiotem zatrudniającym nauczyciela religii jest dyrektor szkoły, jednakże nie może on zatrudnić osoby nie posiadającej misji kanonicznej. Kościoły i związki wyznaniowe mają również możliwość cofnięcia misji kanonicznej, co skutkuje zwolnieniem takiego nauczyciela, nawet w ciągu roku szkolnego. Obowiązek wspomnianej współpracy widoczny jest również przy organizacji rekolekcji wielkopostnych. Nie są to jedyne sfery współpracy szkoły z Kościołami i związkami wyznaniowymi. Wspomniana współpraca powinna być jak najściślejsza, gdyż w wielu aspektach pracy szkoły może ona przynieść pozytywne rezultaty wychowawcze.
Religious education plays a very important role in the upbringing of the young generation. It is present in the Polish educational system. The provisions on religious education in schools and preschools requires cooperation of the school and churches and religious organizations in the field of religious education. This is most evident in the employment of teachers of religion. Although the subject of employing a teacher of religion is director of the school, but he can not hire a person lacking canonical mission. Churches and religious organizations are also able to release a teacher, even during the school year. The obligation of the cooperation is also seen in the organization of the Lenten retreat. The are not the only areas of cooperation should be the closest possible, as in many aspects of school can bring positive outcomes of education.

Opis:
Electronic aggression, a phenomenon currently taking place among young people, poses difficult tasks for teachers. They relate to primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in theschool environment and require the cooperation of headmasters, teachers and parents. The analyses undertaken in the study present the specificity of the activities of the religious education teacher aimed at preventing aggression among young people. Firstly, the scope of meaning of ‘electronic aggression’ has been given. Next, the multidimensionality of electronic aggression among the young has been pointed out. In this context, preventive measures taken by the religious education teacher in the school environment have been described. Aims, tasks and rules, as well as forms, methods and means necessary for the prevention of electronic aggression among young people have been brought to attention. The cooperation of the religious education teacher with the headmaster, parents and other teachers in carrying out the tasks set by the school prevention programme has been considered significant.

The theory of religious education holds a very important place in the Polish catechetics. It is continuously enriched with new issues, determined by the social and educational situation, that are significant from the point of view of practice. Some of them are integrally interwoven with pedagogy. Such issues include analyses related to the processes of communication between the religious education teacher and the students or to developing a dialogue approach in the participants of the religious education classes. The religious education publications dealing with the above-mentioned problems do not directly include the category of dialogue pedagogy. However, several issues can be perceived as referring to the role of the dialogue understood as the approach and the method in teaching religious instruction. Additionally, the methods of conducting a dialogue between the religious education teacher and the students are repeatedly described. Their analysis leads to the conclusion that issues in the scope of dialogue pedagogy occupy an important place in the theory of religious instruction, since they refer to various dimensions of didactic and educating activity of the religious education instructor and the students. Nevertheless, they require detailed empirical research to determine the (un)usual significance of dialogue pedagogy in practice – in educational interactions between religious education teachers and students.

Prayer lies at the heart of a priest’s ministry and one of its special dimensions is teaching others. Meeting Jesus Christ gives strength and helps priests to be reliable witnesses of the faith in their parishes and school societies. This article describes prayer as the main foundation of the priest’s formation, his strength and the source of his vocation and dynamism, and of his authenticity as a priest in the parish and school society. It also points out the importance of forming communities by praying together and the consequences of lack of prayer in the life of a priest. Praying is the priority and ‚food’ for the ‚shepherds of souls’ and because some of them are teachers of religious education at the same time, their ministry would not be successful without it.

The term of shepherd’s love was discussed in this article in the context of a priest’s mission as the teacher of religious education. The shepherd’s love understood as the Holy Ghost’s gift is the source of the priest’s love towards Jesus Christ, Church and its community as well as towards the school society. Only the priest who is in love with the Eucharist can cherish the presbytery he belongs to and the people to whom he is appointed as their shepherd and teacher. The shepherd’s love is the source of the priest's holiness and the fruit of a prayer and a gift which the priest devotes to children and teenagers as their teacher of religious education. It lies in the bases of the priest's formation and is a very essential element of the process of catechizing the younger generation.

The pedagogical practice shows that the subject of Catholic religious education is not very interesting for pupils. However we are convinced that religious education can enrich the life of the human through Information and Communications Technology in the school. The curiosity of pupils tends to the enhancement of the interest in this subject. The experiences show that only talented teacher is able to mediate knowledge and to initiate and to educate within one lesson of religious per weekly at Slovak state school. The Speech ‘Uplifting forces in the classroom, quality in education and professionalism of teachers’ delivered by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwendemann refers to the PISA Report and Martin Buber’s principle of ‘uplifting forces’ in a dialogue-based structured class. The capability of dialogue strengthens the component of relationship between student and teacher. Martin Buber aims to strengthen and develop the personality of both teacher and student. The pivotal argument for a good relationship between student and teacher is, additional to the capability of dialogue the trust, which improves the self-efficacy and the self-worth of a person. This is formed mainly by the authenticity of the other person. Through measuring the quality of education in a class, the individual learning process should be made possible, be maintained, be improved and be assessed. Beneficial, by looking at the relation between didactics and methods, are mainly the tactics that are focused on the proces and the impact it has on the students. The quality of the education is then looked at, with a list of the broad expectations towards a teacher. Ultimately the deciding factor for a better quality and professionalism in the class or learning environment is the quality of the relationships, like Martin Buber’s principle on the ‘ability of dialogue’ says.
Der Vortrag ‚Aufbauende Kräfte im Unterricht, Unterrichtsqualität und Lehrerprofessionalität‘ von Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwendemann bezieht sich auf die PISA-Studie und Martin Bubers Prinzip der ‚aufbauenden Kräfte‘ im dialogischen Unterricht. Martin Buber geht es um die Dialogfähigkeit, welche die Beziehungskomponente im Unterricht zwischen Schüler innen und Lehrkraft stärkt. Dabei zielt er auf die Stärkung und Entfaltung der Persönlichkeit bei Lernenden, sowie auch Lehrenden. Ausschlaggebend für eine gute Lehrer/Lehrerinnen-Schüler/Schülerinnen-Beziehung ist zusätzlich zurDialogfähigkeit das Vertrauen, was die Selbstwirksamkeit und den Selbstwert stärkt. Dieses entsteht hauptsächlich durch die Authentizität der Lehrperson. Durch das Messen der Qualität eines Unterrichts sollen individuelle Lernprozesse bei Lernenden ermöglicht, aufrechterhalten, verbessert und bewertet werden. Förderlich, beim genaueren Betrachten des Verhältnisses von Didaktikund Methodik, sind Prozess- und Wirkungsorientiertheit. Die Güte von Lehre wird mit einer Aufzählung der umfangreichen Erwartungen an eine Lehrkraft thematisiert. Letztendlich ist jedoch die Beziehungsqualität im dialogischen Unterricht das Ausschlaggebende, um Qualität und Professionalität zu erhöhen.

The article covers the scientific reflection upon the catechist participation in realizing the educational and pedagogical tasks by school. The reflection has been based on the instructions included in obligatory school documents. It was noted that in searching for the specification of tasks that catechists face up one should pay attention to the children’s lacks and needs that impede their integral development. In their context, both the content of religious nature transferred by catechists and the motifs of activities that serve the development and growth of a person supported by them seem to be meaningful. Further, one can discuss the characteristic shape of school catechesis supporting integral development of a person which is also called formation. In these processes the functions of catechesis perform an important role. They comprise the function of introducing into mystery, teaching and upbringing. It has been shown that these functions are the value added to the educational processes, first of all, because of the fact that they open person for Transcendence. These advantages of catechesis allow indicating the particular meaning for development of a person present at school catechesis. Thanks to these advantages catechist is able to support pupil in discovering new dimensions of sense of life.
W artykule podjęto naukową refleksję nad udziałem katechety w wypełnianiu przez szkołę edukacyjno-wychowawczych zadań. Refleksję tę oparto na wytycznych zawartych w obowiązujących dokumentach szkolnych. Zauważono, że w poszukiwaniach specyfiki zadań stojących przed katechetą warto zwrócić uwagę na występujące u uczniów deficyty i potrzeby utrudniające ich integralny rozwój. W ich kontekście znaczące wydają się być przekazywane przez katechetę treści natury religijnej oraz wspomagane nimi motywy podejmowania służących rozwojowi i dojrzewaniu osoby działań. Idąc tym tokiem rozumowania można mówić o charakterystycznym rysie katechezy szkolnej, wspierającym integralny rozwój osoby, nazywany też formacją. W procesach tych ważną do spełnienia rolę nadaje się funkcjom katechezy: wtajemniczenia, nauczania i wychowania. Wykazano, że funkcje te stanowią wartość dodaną do procesów edukacyjnych przede wszystkim przez to, że otwierają osobę na Transcendencję. Te walory katechezy pozwalają też wskazać na szczególne znaczenie dla rozwoju osoby obecnego w szkole katechety. Dzięki tym walorom katecheta jest też w stanie wspomagać ucznia w odkrywania nowych wymiarów sensu życia.

Rozwój Internetu i nowoczesnych narzędzi komunikacyjnych jest przedmiotem badań różnych dyscyplin naukowych. Polscy badacze od wielu lat prowadzą zarówno ilościowe jak i jakościowe badania stopnia użytkowania Internetu oraz wpływu nowych technologii i ich narzędzi na współczesne młode pokolenie. Kościół katolicki w swoim nauczaniu wielokrotnie zwraca uwagę na ważną rolę mediów w komunikacji wiary oraz jest świadom wyzwań, które generują nowe media. W oparciu o przeprowadzoną analizę wyników wybranych badań polskiej młodzieży w artykule przedstawiono kilka cech „pokolenia Z”. Zostały one określone jako: 1. Zalogowani−mobilni−skomunikowani; 2. Aktywni odtwórcy; 3. Uzależnieni?; 4. Samotni; 5. Kreatorzy nowej tożsamości i wizerunku. Następnie, w powyższych obszarach tematycznych, podjęto próbę ukazania kilku zadań wychowawczo-formacyjnych dla współczesnej posługi katechetycznej w Polsce wobec tego pokolenia. Przepowiadanie słowa Bożego na katechezie przez i w nowych mediach jest ciągle aktualnym wyzwaniem dla katechetów i dla odpowiedzialnych za ich formację.
The development of the Internet and modern communication tools is the subject of research of various scientific disciplines. For many years, polish researchers have been conducting both quantitative and qualitative studies on the degree of Internet use and the impact of new technologies and their tools on the contemporary young generation. The Catholic Church in its teaching repeatedly draws attention to the important role of the media in communication of faith and is aware of the challenges that generate new media. Based on the analysis of the results of selected studies of polish youth, the article presents several features of „the Z generation”. They were defined as: 1. Logged in-mobile-communicated; 2. Active recreators; 3. Addicted?; 4. Lonely; 5. Creators of the new identity and image. Then, in the above thematic areas, an attempt was made to present several educational and formation tasks for the contemporary catechetical ministry in Poland, in relation to this generation. The proclamation of the word of God in catechesis by and in new media is still a current challenge for catechists and those responsible for their formation.

Work of a catholic religious instruction teacher in public schools is regulated by Polish law and canon law. The paper presents a discussion about the legal and canonical liability of personal interests and presents an application of the norms in practice by discussing and analysing two cases regarding personal interests. The main conclusion of the paper is that the matter of personal interests in the religious instruction context is a complicated problem. The knowledge of the regulations is of essence not only not only for the reason that the teacher in question could properly fulfil his/her professional duty, but also to avoid situations that can be connected with civil and canonical liability.

Obok przekazu wiedzy religijnej i ewangelizacji za istotne uznaje się bowiem wspieranie uczniów w odkrywaniu wartości ogólnoludzkich i ich internalizacji oraz w kształtowaniu postaw społecznych, w tym także w wychowaniu zdrowotnym, ekologicznym, patriotycznym. Wymienione działania mają wymiar wychowawczy i profilaktyczny. Sposób, w jaki nauczyciel religii wypełnia zadania z obszaru wychowania i profilaktyki, w znacznym stopniu warunkuje jakość nauczania religii w polskiej szkole. Podejmując wyżej zasygnalizowaną problematykę, w niniejszym opracowaniu odwołano się do obowiązującego prawa oświatowego i dokumentów katechetycznych. Zwrócono przy tym uwagę na znaczenie aktywności własnej nauczyciela religii oraz na jego cechy osobowe i na świadectwo wiary.
Work in a contemporary Polish school puts before teachers of religion new challenges in the areas of teaching, care, education and prophylaxis. They arise not only from structural, but also from syllabus-related changes. A new approach to education and prophylaxis, especially placing the proper value on holistic education in the Polish school, based on universal values, helps to fulfil the mission and vocation of a teacher of religion. Because, along with transmission of religious knowledge and evangelisation, other important issues include supporting students in discovering general human values and their internalisation and in developing social attitudes, as well as in pro-health, ecological and patriotic education. These actions have an educational and prophylactic dimension. The way in which a teacher of religion performs educational and prophylactic tasks largely affects the quality of religious instruction in Polish schools. This study is based on the current Law on Education and catechetical documents. The importance of a teacher of religion's activity is emphasised as well as his personal traits and testimony of faith.

Opis:
Analizy podjęte w artykule koncentrują się wokół formacji misyjnej uczniów klas V- VIII szkoły podstawowej i różnych typów szkół ponadpodstawowych. Problematykę zaprezentowano w ujęciu Podstawy programowej katechezy Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce (2018) oraz Programu nauczania religii rzymskokatolickiej w przedszkolach i szkołach (2018). Najpierw przybliżono rozumienie terminu „formacja misyjna młodzieży”. Następnie zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę wspierania młodzieży w odkrywaniu zobowiązań chrześcijanina – również odpowiedzialności za działalność misyjną Kościoła. Na podstawie dokonanej oceny propozycji formacji misyjnej młodzieży sformułowano kilka postulatów pastoralnych: potrzebę częstego podejmowania tematów związanych z działalnością misyjną Kościoła, konieczność informowania o wolontariacie misyjnym osób świeckich, potrzebę wychowania do modlitwy za misje oraz zaangażowania młodzieży w inicjatywy misyjne Kościoła.
The focus of analyses undertaken in the article is on the missionary formation of students in grades V-VIII of primary school and various types of secondary schools. The issues are presented in terms of Core Curriculum of Catechesis of the Catholic Church in Poland (2018) and Roman Catholic Religion Curriculum in Kindergartens and Schools (2018). First the understanding of the term “missionary formation of youth” was introduced. Then, attention was drawn to the need to support young people in discovering Christian commitments – also responsibility for the missionary activity of the Church. Relying on the assessment of the youth missionary formation proposal, several pastoral postulates were formulated: the need for frequent undertaking topics related to the missionary activity of the Church; the necessity to inform lay people about missionary voluntary service; the need for upbringing to pray for missions and the involvement of young people in the missionary initiatives of the Church.

W obliczu rozwoju nowych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych w Polsce i cyfryzacji polskiej szkoły podjęto próbę ukazania TIK we współczesnej formacji polskich katechetów.  Odwołano się do dokumentów katechetycznych Kościoła powszechnego i w Polsce, aktów normatywnych oraz literatury przedmiotu. Zwrócono uwagę zarówno na wstępną, jak i permanentną formację. W tym celu dokonano krótkiej prezentacji obecnego stanu formacji katechetów w Polsce w zakresie TIK. Następnie analizowano miejsce i funkcje TIK w formacji polskich katechetów oraz sposoby jej realizacji w zakresie TIK. Przeprowadzona analiza dowiodła, że we współczesnej formacji polskich katechetów TIK zajmuje szczególne miejsce. Nie może go zabraknąć, gdyż tylko w ten sposób katecheci mogą kształtować umiejętności informatyczne. Jednocześnie przedstawiono szereg możliwości e-learningowych. Ukazano także możliwości organizacyjne i metodyczne jakie TIK niesie dla pracy katechetów w szkole. Za ważne uznano m.in. umiejętności pracy na platformach zdalnego nauczania (np. Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) oraz tworzenia i zastosowania różnych aplikacji (np. LearningApps.org., Kahoot!). ICT in der theologisch-religiösen Ausbildung polnischer Religionslehrer*innen Angesichts der Entwicklung von neuen IC-Technologien in Polen und der Digitalisierung des polnischen Schulwesens wurde der Versuch unternommen, ICT im Ausbildungsprozess polnischer Religionslehrer*innen zu verorten. In diesem Zusammenhang wurden katechetische Dokumente der katholischen Kirche in Polen, normative Akte und die Gegenstandsliteratur herangezogen. Erwähnt wurde sowohl die einführende, als auch die permanente theologisch-religiöse Ausbildung. Ferner wurde auch kurz der aktuelle Stand der ICT-Ausbildung von polnischen Katechetinnen und Katecheten dargestellt. Des Weiteren wurden auch der Stellenwert und die Funktion von ICT in der Ausbildung von Religionspädagogen in Polen analysiert. Daraus ging hervor, dass ICT in diesem Prozess einen besonderen Platz einnimmt. ICT ist unverzichtbar, denn nur so können Religionslehrer*innen ihre Kompetenzen im Bereich Informatik entfalten. Ferner wurden aktuelle E-Learning-Möglichkeiten dargestellt. Es wurde nachgewiesen, welche organisatorischen und methodischen Möglichkeiten ICT für die Arbeit in der Schule eröffnet und wie wichtig die Arbeit mit E-Learning-Plattformen (z. B. Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) sowie die Ausarbeitung und Anwendung von zahlreichen Apps (LearningApps.org, Kahoot!) sein kann.
With the development of new information and communication technologies in Poland and the digitization of Polish schools, an attempt was made to present ICT as used in the contemporary formation of Polish catechists. Reference was made to the catechetical documents of the universal Church and in Poland, normative acts and literature of the subject. Attention was paid to both initial and permanent formation. For this purpose, a short presentation was made of the current state of the formation of catechists in Poland regarding ICT. Next, the status and functions of ICT in the formation of Polish catechists were analyzed and the ways of its implementation. This showed that ICT has a special place in the contemporary formation of Polish catechists. ICT is indispensable for catechists because only in this way can they enhance their IT skills. At the same time a number of e-learning options were presented, as well as the possibilities that ICT opens for catechists working in schools regarding lesson organization and methodology. Also, the article shows the importance of the ability to use remote learning platforms (e.g., Storybird, Padlet, Story Dice) and create and use various applications (such as LearningApps.org., Kahoot!).

Religion didactics is one of the main and important subdisciplines of the integral catechetics. Recently, since the return of religion teaching to Polish schools (1990), intensive, interdisciplinary and multi-faceted religion didactics research has been conducted. The analyses performed in this study aimed at presenting the role of religion didactics in the religious education of children and adolescents. Analysis of the basic literature on religion didactics and religious education of children and adolescents was used to first point out the proper understanding of the object of studies of religion didactics. Subsequently, the functions of religion didactics in the religious education of children and adolescents were analysed and the place of the religion didactics in the educational activity of a religion teacher was shown. The final comments pointed out the need for taking up new issues associated with e-learning and the use of new information and communication technologies in religion teaching research. It is also important to emphasise the importance of combining traditional issues with those associated with methodological innovations, including new information and communication technologies.
