    Research into memory in adults reminiscing about childhood memories is not well‑established. Some people seem to have vivid memories from very early ages, while others remember events beginning around age four or five. The aim of this article is to present memories of adults regarding relationships with their parents in childhood based on two surveys. First research was undertaken by the Public Opinion Research Centre (in Polish: Centrum Badania Opinii Społecznej). Second one, qualitative research of childhood relations was conducted by the author of this article among students of family studies from The Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw. On the basis of quantitative and qualitative research on Poles with regard to their childhood memories, several conclusions may be drawn. First of all, the surveyed Poles have positive childhood memories with regard to relations with parents and the process of upbringing. A larger proportion stresses a better bond with their mother. Only in some of the quoted recollections of students, there appears greater significance of relations with father, who gave them a sense of security, pointed out values and established a model of masculinity. A large number of the polled adults declared that parents were close to them and cared for their social, moral and religious education.

    Opis:
    Artykuł poświęcony jest problemom rodziców osób skazanych oraz takich, którzy borykają się z problemami uzależnienia od alkoholu czy narkotyków. Wspólnym doświadczeniem rodziców jest to, że z powodu łamania norm obyczajowych i prawnych ich dorosłe dzieci oznaczone są etykietą dewianta. Rodzice, którzy podejmują działania na rzecz pomocy i wsparcia dziecka w zmaganiu się z konsekwencjami dewiacyjnej aktywności, znajdują się w szczególnej sytuacji. Analizy naukowe poświęcone wyłącznie problemom takich rodzicom należą do rzadkości. W artykule prześledzę dotychczasowe wyniki badań i wykażę, że chociaż podstawowe problemy wszystkich członków rodzin więźniów czy osób z problemem uzależnienia są uniwersalne, to istnieją takie, które odnoszą się wyłącznie do rodziców. Jest to podawanie przez otoczenie w wątpliwość kompetencji rodzicielskich i przypisywanie winy matkom za problemy dziecka oraz pozbawienie moralnego prawa do przeżywania straty i rozłąki z dzieckiem, które trafiło do więzienia lub zniknęło z życia rodziców z powodu uzależnienia. Ponadto uwagę zwracają silne napięcia w obrębie roli rodzicielskiej z powodu kolizji systemu wyznawanych wartości i doznawanych emocji.
    The article is devoted to the problems of parents of convicts and those who are struggling with alcohol or drug addiction problems. It is the parents’ shared experience that because of violations of moral and legal norms their adult children are labeled as deviants. Parents who undertake efforts to help and support their child in struggling with the consequences of deviant activity are in a special situation. Scientific analyses devoted exclusively to the problems of such parents are rare. In this paper I will trace the results of research to date and show that although the basic problems of all members of families of prisoners or those with substance abuse problems are universal, there are some that apply only to parents. It is the questioning by the community of their parental skills and blaming the mothers for the problems of the child, as well as depriving them of the moral right to experience loss and separation from the child who went to prison or disappeared from the parents’ lives as a result of addiction. Moreover, attention is drawn to the strong tensions within the parental role due to the collision of the system of professed values and experienced emotions.

    Dla prawidłowego rozwoju dziecka kluczowe są dwa środowiska, w których przebiega proces wychowania i edukacji. Rodzina i szkoła powinny się wzajemnie uzupełniać i realizować założone wspólnie cele. Ich relacje dodatnio wpływają na wielostronny rozwój dziecka, osiąganie lepszych wyników w nauce oraz prawidłowe funkcjonowanie w relacjach społecznych. Dobra współpraca pomiędzy środowiskiem szkolnym i rodzinnym przyczynia się do zmniejszenia ryzyka powstania problemów wychowawczych, kreowania atmosfery wzajemnego zaufania i zrozumienia. Jest ona również korzystna dla osób dorosłych: nauczycieli i rodziców, którzy budując relacje partnerskie, stają się bardziej otwarci na siebie i potrzeby dziecka. W artykule autorki starają się udzielić odpowiedzi na pytanie, czym jest partnerstwo szkoły i rodziców oraz jakie czynniki wpływają na dobre relacje szkoła – dom. Omawiają również, jakie tradycyjne formy współpracy są wykorzystywane w praktyce edukacyjnej, wskazując ich pozytywne aspekty dla budowania przestrzeni spotkania. Wśród form współdziałania pomiędzy nauczycielami a rodzicami zostały uwzględnione także te, które bazują na współczesnych narzędziach technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. W tym zakresie zwrócono szczególną uwagę na wykorzystanie narzędzi internetowych. Na podstawie analizowanej literatury przedmiotu ukazano znaczenie współdziałania i potrzebę podjęcia szerokich działań w zakresie poprawy relacji pomiędzy nauczycielami a rodzicami. W tekście artykułu wskazano czynniki, które sprzyjają podniesieniu efektywności całego procesu edukacyjnego, ukazano, że są one korzystne dla wszystkich podmiotów biorących w nim udział.
    Two environments where the process of upbringing and education takes place are crucial for the correct development of a child. The family and the school should be mutually complementary and should strive for the accomplishment of jointly determined objectives. Their relations have a positive impact on the multilateral development of a child, with better learning results and proper functioning in social relations. Good cooperation between the school environment and the family contributes to a decreased risk of educational problems and creates an atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding. It is also beneficial for adults, i.e. teachers and parents who, whilst building partner relations, are becoming more open towards themselves and the child’s needs. In this article, the authors attempt to provide an answer to the question about the partnership of school and parents, the factors influencing good relations between the school and the family home. They also discuss traditional forms of cooperation that are used in educational practice, indicating their positive aspects for building the meeting space. Forms of cooperation between teachers and parents also include the ones that rely on modern tools of information and communication technology. In this respect, special attention was paid to the use of Internet tools. On the basis of analysed literature on the subject, the significance of interaction was shown, along with the need of undertaking extensive activities in the area of improvement of relations between teachers and parents. The text of the article indicates factors that are conducive to an increase in the efficiency of the entire educational process and shows that they are beneficial for all of the entities taking part in it.
